Bow Wow Announces Retirement, Internet Users Wonder If It"s 2007

Bow Wow has decided to bow out.

Taking fans by surprise (for contrasting reasons, as you’ll read about below), the 29-year old rapper announced today that he’s set to call it a career.

As the told his 3.16 million Twitter followers on Monday morning, the upcoming album “NYLTH” will be his last.

Ever.

“I always said years ago i’d retire from music before 30,” the musician wrote. “I just cant see myself at 30 years old rapping.”

Bow Wow is the nephew of Snoop Dogg.

He came into the rapping world as Lil Bow Wow back in 2000, dropping his debut album at the age of 13.

In a series of tweets, Bow Wow recounted all the success he’s gone on to enjoy since then.

“Over 10 million sold, 6 arena tours, 10 top 10’s, a few number 4 platinum albums, 2 gold albums. I’M DONE,” he wrote.

He continued:

“Retirement only means that it is time for a new adventure.’ over 10 million sold. This the last one. THANK YOU. Made over 20 million off rap. Why be greedy?

“I’m good with everything i accomplished. I made it to the White House.”

Shifting over to Instagram, Bow Wow gave his fans a tease of what’s on tap:

“My last album will be executive produced by my uncle Snoop and myself.

“Since he brought me in the game, its only right i involve him and end it with him. ITS OFFICIAL!!!! THIS S–T BOUT TO BANG ON MOMMAS!

“And we aiming and im talking RECKLESS on this album. NOBODY SAFE #DPG #ATK THE TITLE OF MY FINAL ALBUM ‘NYLTH."”

Bow Wow, who has gone by his birth name (Shad Moss) since 2014, is best known for such singles as “Bounce with Me,” “Bow Wow (That’s My Name),” “Puppy Love,” “My Baby” and Let’s Get Down.”

In addition to music, he’s found success on the big and small screens, appearing in All About the Benjamins, CSI: Cyber, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Like Mike, Roll Bounce, Smallville and Ugly Betty.

You can expect to see plenty more of him in an acting capacity down the line.

After one follower said he thought Bow retired in 2007, the artist got angry.

“Just decided to get movie and tv money. Crazy how when JT did what i did NO ONE hated. I do it, its he fell off etc,” the 29-year old wrote.

He later referenced Justin Timberlake in yet another tweet Monday, writing;

“When i decided to take years off to do tv and film, they said i fell off. When JT did it, nobody questioned that.”

Bow Wow said he’ll be barking (get it?!?) up the “acting and hosting” tree going forward, in addition to producing a pair of television shows.

“Its a blessing to have made millions and can retire before 30,” he Tweeted. “I mean im extremely happy.”

There you have it.

Khloe Kardashian "Recreated" 2007 DUI on Keeping Up With The Kardashians

It’s no secret that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is heavily scripted and staged.  We’ve all come to terms with that, it’s water under the bridge.

What some of us may not have known is that major plot lines, including Kris Humphries’ proposal to Kim Kardashian were recreated for one reason or another.

Celebrity author Ian Halperin is set to publish a tell-all about the famously infamous family, and judging from the excerpts shared on Radar Online, the book will be a doozie.

On the show’s first season in 2007, Khloe Kardashian was arrested for a DUI after partying at then-popular West Hollywood club Area with her sisters.

Cameras showed Kardashian being pulled over, questioned and then handcuffed by a police. In her party outfit :(

According to Halperin, Kardashian’s DUI was real…but it happened in March 2007, months before filming even began.

“It is entertaining and dramatic TV, except that Khloe was busted for DUI in March, before Keeping Up with the Kardashians even got the green light,” Halperin revealed.

“It was a harbinger of things to come, and would add fuel for critics who assert that just about everything about the show is scripted.”

As I mentioned earlier, poor Humphries was also the victim of several takes.  When he proposed to Kim after just five months of dating, he had to do it over because his bride-to-be wasn’t happy with how she looked.

The show’s executive producer, Russell Jay had to give a court deposition during Humphries and Kardashian’s divorce proceedings in which he described the proposal scene.

“I think she had a bad reaction or something and she was embarrassed,” Jay said. “So she said ‘Can we just, like, have me come back in one more time and be, like, really surprised?"”

#OMGsoawkward.

Miss Teen South Carolina Reflects Back On Embarrassing 2007 Flub

No one will ever forget the gobbly gook answer Miss Teen South Carolina Caitlin Upton gave when Friday Night Lights" Aimee Teegarden asked why a percentage of Americans couldn"t locate our country on a world map.

"I definitely went through a period where I was very, very depressed," Upton told New York Magazine in a Where Are They Now-type series on past internet sensations.

"I had some very dark moments where I thought about committing suicide. The fact that I have such an amazing family and friends, it really, really helped."

Upton got a little upset talking about the incident, in which she nervously rambled for 30 seconds.

"This is the first time I’ve actually been able to talk about it. It was awful, and it was every single day for a good two years.

"I’ve only spoken to my fiancé about how I felt in those moments truthfully, and my best friend. And, recently, my mom. But, like, my dad doesn’t even know yet.

People were awful to Upton after the flub.

"I lost a lot of close friends over it — people I’d been friends with since I was 10, people I grew up playing soccer with," Upton, who is now engaged and works as a model, admitted.

"One group of girls took me to this party at the University of South Carolina, and I walk in, and the entire USC baseball team surrounded me and bashed me with the harshest, meanest comments I had ever heard."

Others would leave threatening letters in Upton"s parents" mailbox; one even read "GO DIE CAITE UPTON, GO DIE FOR YOUR STUPIDITY."

Though she"s not fully over her 15 minutes of infamy, Upton is thankful for another model who shares the same name.

"The past few years, going brunette, I have not had any recognition for the Miss Teen USA Pageant at all," Upton said. "But I also get recognized for having a similar name to Kate Upton. So I’ll go into my auditions and be like, "Yes, yes, I know — I’m the other one.""

I still feel SO BAD for this girl.
