Rain Brown Responds to Gay Rumors: I"ve Accepted My Sexuality
Back in October, Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown was praised for her pro-equality message that she shared on Instagram.
Some fans, however, wondered if her message about LGBT rights might be a little personal. And, rudely, a couple of fans boldly asked Rain if she’s gay.
Though she had every right to ignore the questions, Rain decided to come clean and answer them.
Like the rest of her family, Rain Brown has a lot on her plate.
Since no, Ami Brown’s cancer wasn’t miraculously cured despite our hopes and best wishes, she’s still contending with her mother’s battle with lung cancer.
That’s hard for anyone to deal with, especially a girl who’s only just turned 15.
Reportedly, the Brown family is filming Season 8 in Colorado. We don’t know how much they’ve filmed — possibly just a promo or two — but filming a reality series is no joke.
Oh, and with Rain’s Instagram account having reached over 45,000 followers in just a few months, she’s dealing with a lot of social media pressures as both a teenage girl and her family’s de facto spokesperson.
It’s through social media that some people decided to give her a hard time by grilling her about her sexuality.
Folks, straight-up asking somebody their sexual orientation is fine sometimes, awkward at other times, and sexual harassment in other contexts.
When total strangers are asking a 15-year-old girl her sexual orientation, that’s seriously crossing some boundaries.
Apparently, Rain’s short hair, or perhaps the fact that she calls her fans “rainbows,” or perhaps her recent message about equality, led some fans to wonder about her sexuality, which is no one’s business by Rain’s.
We don’t know if they expected Rain to answer, but she did.
Rain shared an optimistic post, as she often does, and a fan straight-up commented:
“Are you gay?”
Though we’d have absolutely understood if Rain had ignored the comment, she decided to reply with a very direct answer:
“No, I’m straight.”
Rain didn’t stop there, though.
“And I call my fans rainbows because my name is Rain, but you do you boo.”
She added to that a kissy face emoji. Some people would add that as an insult, but coming from Rain, we think that it’s to show that there are no hard feelings over the question.
On another photo, a different fan commented:
“I wonder if [Rain] has accepted her sexuality yet?”
(Folks, if you want to speculate over somebody’s sexuality, do it in private or not at all — not on that person’s Instagram page)
Rain replied:
“I’m straight … so yeah, I have.”
That’s a polite reply but we believe that we detect an air of frustration.
To be clear, the sexuality question is inappropriate, not because gay people are somehow inherently inappropriate, but because it’s nobody’s beeswax. Also, it can constitute harassment.
She shouldn’t be faced with these questions, folks.
Not just because plenty of LGBT+ folks don’t feel comfortable coming out at 15 (if they’re even aware), but because it’s straight-up inappropriate.
We understand the desire to know as much as possible about the stars you admire.
And, quite frankly, a lot of television is starved for decent LGBT+ representation. Reality television is definitely included.
But instead of asking stars to come out — whether they’re actually gay or not — how about if we all instead mind our own business?
Especially when the reality stars in question are, you know, 15.

Danielle Bregoli: Accepted to Harvard?!
Danielle Bregoli. Her bad behavior and distinctive threats earned her fame as the cash me ousside girl. More recently, she’s been making music under the name Bhad Bhabie. Sure.
That’s not exactly the kind of branding that you associate with ivy league education. And yet … Danielle recently bragged on social media about receiving a full ride to Harvard.
Please tell us that this is just a bad dream. Please.

Whether the image is real or photoshopped (though the Florida native who new resides in L.A. has been spending time in New England, recently), Bregoli’s caption sure raised some eyebrows:
“Keeping da t-shirt , but giving away my full ride scholarship to Harvard to da best fan video of #igotit”
She followed this with three emojis of tearful laughter.
Then she wrote:
“@harvard #futuredropout” followed by a bag of money emoji, a black heart emoji, and a fire emoji.
What. On. Earth.
Ignoring the ludicrous tag and a definitely not real giveaway … did Danielle Bregoli somehow get into Harvard?
If we learned one thing from Gossip Girl, it’s that Blair Waldorf is beautiful and amazing and deserves the world. But we also learned that ivy league universities have an interest in attracting students with famous names.
(Okay, we didn’t need Gossip Girl to learn that)
Is Danielle Bregoli … or Bhad Bhabie as she is calling herself now in what we assume is a (successful) effort to destroy any lingering faith in the world … quite famous enough to make the cut?
First, she appeared on Dr. Phil for her bad behavior, where, taking offense at the audience’s laughter, she attempted to threaten them with “cash me ousside, howbow dah?”
What some saw as the atrocious behavior of a girl with an unenviable life and very likely no real future, others saw as an accidental moment of comedic genius. A meme was born.
Not all memes lead to personal fame, but this one did, and Danielle is capitalizing on it. She’s moved to L.A. where she reportedly has a reality series in the works.
And that’s not all. …
Danielle Bregoli is making music. As we mentioned, under the name Bhad Bhabie.
And it is with a heavy heart that we report that Danielle Bregoli’s first single was record-breaking.
So she’s an upcoming reality star and, like or not, the fourteen-year-old troublemaker is a success in the music industry.
Bhad Bhabie is set to make millions from her music deal, because the American Dream is dead and we’re now living in the American Nightmare.
With all of this considered, has Harvard offered her a very early admission … and a free ride?
No.
Like, we don’t know for sure in terms of Harvard releasing a statement on the absurd subject.
But the common sense that we keep in our brains for just such occasions tells us that Danielle Bregoli is just saying outlandish things for publicity.
That is literally how she got famous, folks. She has a brand to maintain.
It’s not impossible for a 14-year-old to get into Harvard, but if insulting Dr. Phil were all that it took, any 14-year-old who’s ever seen that poorly-disguised Texan walrus would have gotten an ivy league education.
By the way, the fact that Danielle was offering her full ride as a “giveaway” is probably supposed to be her nod that, you know, she’s joking.
That’s not how full rides or scholarships work. it’s not a cruise.
We do have to wonder if Danielle Bregoli might end up getting sued over that post. Some might consider it false advertising. If you announce a giveaway prize and can’t deliver, well, a jury might decide that you have to fork over some serious dough.
If somebody takes her at her word and decides to sue, we might end up cashing her in debt.

Meghan Markle: Accepted and Adored by Prince Harry"s Family?
Meghan Markle has done quite the job of working her way into Prince Harry’s heart these past several months, hasn’t she?
Oh, to be young and in love with a literal prince …
They’ve just been dating for about six months now, but, as you’ve definitely heard if you’re tuned into hearing things about the royal family and their goings-on, there are already plenty of engagement rumors.
It’s because Harry, little rascal that he is (was?), has had a habit for several years of casually dating a series of blonde British socialites, so for him to be so serious about someone, especially someone so different than anyone’s he’s ever dated, seems pretty special.
He’s been taking insane trips just to spend a tiny amount of time with her, he’s met with her father, there are several reports that she’s quitting acting altogether to be with him.
It’s all very romantic, you see.
But, as a member of the royal family in line for the throne, Harry technically has to have the Queen’s permission to marry Meghan.
At this point, it’s really just a nice little tradition, but still, he will almost certainly consult his grandmother before proposing.
So could this put a damper on any wedding plans? Could Meghan’s status as a divorced American actress keep her from getting into the royal family?
According to a new report from The Mirror, nope!
An insider claims that Meghan has spent the past few months meeting the whole royal gang, and “she’s very much been accepted into the family.”
Because, adorably enough, “They are so happy to see Harry happy.”
And the sweetness just continues because, as an American, Meghan went into her relationship with Harry with basically zero knowledge of how to interact with royals — they’re different than regular people, you know.
But Harry’s aides have been kind enough to make themselves available to her — the source says that “There have been many times where Meghan’s been unsure of protocol and having access to Harry’s aides have been a godsend.”
And for one more cute little tidbit — remember all that drama surrounding Pippa Middleton’s upcoming wedding?
Pippa originally refused to allow Harry to bring Meghan as his date, to which Harry reportedly responded with a nice little “If she’s not coming, I’m not coming routine.”
We’d heard that Pippa was hesitant to allow that to happen, “that” being all the fun press that would happen if Harry didn’t show up to the wedding.
And now, with this report, we’re hearing that she’s been able to compromise with Harry: Meghan won’t come to the ceremony, but she is invited to the reception.
So not only has Harry been going out of his way to spend time with Meghan, not only has he done all he can to make her feel welcome in his world, he’s also standing up for her when it counts.
It’s a love story for the ages, y’all.
