Selena Gomez Gives Taylor Swift"s Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Her Stamp of Approval
Joe Alwyn may not exactly be an international man of mystery, but never before have we known less about Taylor Swift’s love life.
He’s not a nobody, but most of her exes have been household names themselves. Plus she’s written songs about most of them.
It turns out that answers about Taylor’s current relationship come from a different singer — Selena Gomez.
Selena was interviewed on SiriusXM, and shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Like, they talked about other things, too. Selena’s a celebrity in her own right, and we were listening to her music for years before we ever started marathoning Taylor’s songs.
But the two are famous for their friendship. Selena gave an appropriately polite but vague answer:
“Honestly, if my friends are happy, that makes me happy. That’s all I care about.”
That is one of the most diplomatic imaginable ways to say that you’re not going to blab about your friend’s personal life.
That’s extra important, considering that Taylor initially wanted to keep Joe Alwyn a secret.
We don’t know as much about Joe Alwyn as we do about … well, any of Taylor’s exes.
He has the first name of an average person and the last name of an up-and-coming wizard’s apprentice, but clearly Taylor wants to do her best to avoid excessive exposure.
Overexposure, more than her feud with Kim Kardashian or messy breakup with Calvin Harris, was what heralded the end of Taylor Swift’s massive two-year popularity surge.
The feud and break-up were just … catalysts.
But she’s clearly looking to lay low for a while longer.
Kind of hard to do when you’re one of the most famous people on the planet, but we get it.
Selena’s relationship with The Weeknd is fairly low-key, considering that they were both already famous.
Which is not to say that Selena’s been keeping the relationship a secret, by any means. They’re even Instagram official.
Selena did open up a little about how things are going with them, but kept her answers almost as vague as Taylor’s.
“I hang out with my new person a lot.”
The Weeknd is her “new person,” clearly, but we think that she was trying to match her tone to her answer about Joe Alwyn rather than imply that she’s just had a new boyfriend delivered.
Also, we already knew that they hang out a lot, as they’ve been spotted absolutely everywhere.
She also added that it wasn’t only the happiness of her friends that matters to her.
“So, I’m super stoked, too. It’s been a good time.”
You know, good for her, right?
It’s good that their relationship is so strong, and that neither of them seem to feel insecure when she praised ex Justin Bieber’s Manchester performance.
Selena and Taylor have been friends for years and years.
Like, before we ever associated Taylor Swift and her friends with a “squad,” these two extraordinarily talented singers were hanging out together.
That also means that Taylor must have put up with a lot during Selena’s Bieber years.
So it’s no surprise that Selena’s been sticking by Taylor’s side during her recent public opinion rough patch.
That’s what friendship’s really about, you know?
No matter what rollercoasters of relationships or popularity these girls ride in life, they’re both extraordinary singers.
We’ll be enjoying their music for years and years to come.
And it’s heartening to know that, even if both of them call it quits with their boyfriends tomorrow, they’ll still both be ride-or-die with each other.

Donald Trump Approval Rating Falls to Historic Low Amidst FBI Investigation
It’s a good thing Donald Trump is fresh off yet another golf weekend at Mar-a-Lago, because this morning’s news is enough to give him a serious case of the Mondays.
According to the latest Gallup poll, the president’s approval rating is at a paltry 37 percent.
That’s a sharp drop from his 45 percent rating of just last week, and it’s also a record low.
Gallup has been polling the American public and publishing the results since the Truman administration, and no president in that time has seen such dismal figures so early in his administration.
The latest decline is likely a result of Trump’s 2018 budget proposal, which seeks to make extreme cuts to a number of vital government agencies, some of which the president promised to protect during his campaign.
But this is Donnie Baby Hands we’re talking about, so the news that he’s taking away your healthcare and taking food out of your freeloading great-grandmother’s mouth is far from being the only scandal of the week.
In addition to a budget so absurd that even his fellow Republicans were heard to remark “bruh,” Trump has once again attracted the attention of the FBI.
In fact, the bureau is interested in Trump for two reasons, both of which are pile further embarrassment on top of what’s already a triple-decker sh-t sandwich of an administration.
For starters, FBI Director James Comey confirmed today that his agency is investigating Trump’s claim that Barack Obama illegally wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 election.
This never happened, and for proof we need look no further than the fact that when Trump was asked to supply expand upon the basis for this claim, he basically said, “Hey, look over there!” and ran away.
But that’s just the beginning of Trump’s troubles with the nation’s top domestic intelligence agency, as the FBI has also confirmed that it’s investigating the Trump administrations ties to Russia.
Yes, Russia.
The Big Bad Villain country of your childhood that our president now falls all over himself to defend despite evidence that its hackers manipulated our presidential election.
SEVEN members of Trump’s staff have admitted to contact with Russia during the president’s campaign, and if it’s revealed that they colluded with Vladimir Putin to influence the vote, it would be a scandal the likes of which this nation has never seen.
So, yeah…
Trump might want to take a page from the book of another lumpy orange curmudgeon, Garfield (the cat, not the president), and just spend this Monday in bed.

Caitlyn Jenner Gender Change Receives Legal Approval
Caitlyn Jenner has cleared another hurdle in her quest to officially change her identity.
Earlier this month, the 65-year old I Am Cait star filed documents in Los Angeles Country Superiod Court, requesting a legal name and gender change.
On Friday, via proceedings live-streamed on TMZ, Caitlyn’s attorneys appeared in court to hear a judge approve this request; Jenner herself was not present for the hearing.
According to court documents, Jenner formally asked to be called “Caitlyn Marie Jenner,” as opposed to “William Bruce Jenner” in the name and gender petition.
Furthermore, the filing states that Jenner requested that information required for the process – such as her medical history – be kept sealed.
A judge also approved this motion after Jenner’s lawyer argued that, despite significant support for her transition, Caitlyn has still received “unwelcome negative attention” from private citizens during this process.
Heck, she still receive some blowback from her own family members.
Kris Jenner recently admitted to not referring to her ex-husband by her new first name, though viewers who watch I Am Cait online did see the pair recently make nice on the season finale.
I Am Cait has been renewed for a second season and is expected to return in the spring with new episodes on E!.
