Joe Alwyn FINALLY Opens Up About Dating Taylor Swift

There was a time when the idea of Taylor Swift stepping away from the spotlight in favor of a more pedestrian existence would have seemed absurd.

Following the release of her 1989 album, Swift was one of the most visible people on the planet, and the adoration from her legion of fans seemed to be mutual.

In those days, it seemed impossible to imagine Swift living a more low-profile existence.

Even if she had wanted to, the idea that the singer would be able to evade the prying eyes of the social media hordes seemed unfathomable.

But somehow, Taylor Swift has managed to execute the world’s most unlikely disappearing act in recent months.

In fact, Taylor’s love life — once a subject of rampant tabloid scrutiny — has been something of an enigma as of late.

We know that Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn, but prior to this week, neither party had spoken publicly about the relationship.

The London-based actor recently gave an interview with British Vogue in which he finally acknowledged that he’s dating Swift.

But if you were hoping for a slew of details about the ups and downs of life with Taylor, you may be sorely disappointed.

Alas, it seems Alwyn is just as keen as Swift on the idea of keeping their romance on the DL:

“I’m aware people want to know about that side of things,” Joe said when asked about Taylor.

“I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people … but I really prefer to talk about work.”

Joe’s cryptic comments seem to confirm a longstanding rumor about the couple — namely, that he doesn’t want his private life to distract from his career.

Though he’s certainly not as a big a name as Taylor, Joe has been receiving a lot of attention for his film work in recent months.

While dating Taylor doesn’t seem to have harmed any of her ex’s careers, it makes sense that Joe would prefer to focus attention on his work and not his love life.

As for Taylor, she has ample reason to keep this relationship as private as possible.

After all, the opposite approach has backfired on her on numerous occasions.

So for now, Taylor and Joe are both attempting to keep this thing as quiet as possible.

That said, if they break up, you can be sure Taylor will be quick to deliver a few dozen scathing breakup ballads.

Taylor Swift and Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Show Up Holding Hands at Jingle Ball Concert

Taylor Swift showed up to the Jingle Ball event Friday night at Madison Square Garden … and it’s the first time we’ve seen her hand-in-hand with her boyfriend. Taylor and Joe Alwyn raced from their SUV to the front door, but it was enough time to…

Taylor Swift Releases "Call It What You Want," Praises Joe Alwyn!

Taylor Swift, whether you love her or hate her or somehow manage to be indifferent, is back.

She"s owning the "snake" label and turning it back on her detractors. Her new album comes out sooner that you could believe.

But you don"t have to wait that long, because she"s dropped a brand new single — and you can listen to it, below.

Taylor swift joe alwynTaylor swift rocks

What was the first thing that you did this morning? (Wait, don"t answer that)

The first thing that I did this morning was check my phone, and I"d received an iTunes email telling me that a new Taylor Swift song was available.

YouTube had already notified me that she had a new video available. It"s a lyrics video, but still — it"s the debut of her new song.

Taylor has been teasing the track all week, on social media platforms like Instagram and Tumblr.

(Taylor is known to interact directly with superfans and address them by name on Tumblr in particular)

This song, "Call It What You Want," is only the fourth single that Taylor has unveiled from her new album, Reputation.

As we mentioned, in addition to the iTunes release, the song came out in a lyric video on YouTube.

We"ll be honest, it"s the weakest of Taylor"s new singles … but it"s also quite possibly the most informative.

Joe alwyn

See, "Call It What You Want" is widely believed to be about Joe Alwyn.

Note that Taylor"s previous single, "Gorgeous," which possibly includes North West"s voice in order to taunt Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is also basically universally believed to be about her current boyfriend.

Seriously, the whole song sounds like gushing over Joe Alwyn, if not by name.

That was "Gorgeous." In "Call It What You Want," Taylor gets to that … but first, before she gets into the relationship stuff, she talks about how she was wronged.

"My castle crumbled overnight / I brought a knife to a gunfight / They took the crown, but it"s alright."

Her career spiraled out of control, as she predicted when she first expressed to Kanye that she was leery of him mentioning her in his song.

(Which we know from the shadily edited recordings that Kim later leaked)

She speaks frankly about how she deliberately vanished from the public eye in order to let things cool down.

"All the liars are calling me one / Nobody"s heard from me for months / I"m doing better than I ever was, "cause."

Why is she now doing better, you wonder?

Taylor swift call it what you want

Here"s the chorus:

"My baby"s fit like a daydream."

We don"t know of any photos of Joe Alwyn shirtless (which is weird, for an actor, right?), so we suppose that we"ll just have to take Taylor"s word for it about his fitness.

"Walking with his head down / I"m the one he"s walking to."

Rumor has it that Taylor and Joe have been meeting covertly to avoid the public eye throughout their relationship.

"So call it what you want, yeah, call it what you want to."

Ah, yes, the part of the song with the song"s title in it.

"My baby"s fly like a jet stream / High above the whole scene / Loves me like I"m brand new."

The "high above the whole scene" line clearly refers to how they can avoid public judgments and rumors and haters by just being separate from them.

And the "loves me like I"m brand new" line, of course, refers to her reputation not being a factor in their relationship.

And then, again, the title.

"So call it what you want, yeah, call it what you want to."

Taylor swift look what you made me do

You guys, Reputation drops in one week — on November 10th.

It will be interesting to see if her relationship with Tom Hiddleston made it into a song.

It will also be interesting to hear how aggressively she calls out Calvin Harris. Kim might have never had the opportunity to drop those recordings on Snapchat if Calvin hadn"t thrown his little tantrum on Twitter first.

Anyway, we can hardly wait.

At last, when Reputation comes out, we"ll know which song is our favorite.

And we"ll get to see how it compares to 1989.

Taylor Swift Releases "Gorgeous," Gushes Over Joe Alwyn

Taylor Swift has released the third single off her upcoming album and it has taken the Internet by storm and the singer’s fans by shock.

How come?

Because this isn’t a break-up anthem.

It’s actually… the opposite?!?

Apparently oh so VERY smitten with current boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Swift gushes over the British stud muffin throughout the course of this song, belting out such lyrics as:

You’re so gorgeous/I can’t say anything to your face/‘Cause look at your face/And I’m so furious/At you for making me feel this way/But what can I say?/You’re gorgeous.

Pretty straightforward, huh?

It’s worth mentioning that Alwyn has blue eyes and that Swift also cites “ocean blue eyes looking in mine, I feel like I might sink and drown and die” in the song.

“You make me so happy it turns back to sad, There’s nothing I hate more than what I can’t have,” she croons at another point.

Go ahead and listen to the single here:

Swift, a 10-time Grammy winner, has of course earned a reputation for often slamming ex-boyfriends in her music.

The most obvious example would be “Dear John,” a song very clearly about John Mayer, along with “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

But Alwyn clearly has a different kind of influence on the superstar.

He and Swift started dating in May and have actually kept their romance mostly on the Down Low, a stark change for a celebrity typically known for flaunting relationships in the media.

“Her decision to keep her relationship with Joe quiet is making her happy,” a source has told People Magazine, adding:

“They have been getting to know each other slowly without any pressure.”

And while the Internet often debates just who the subject is of various Taylor Swift songs, the answer is obvious this time around:

Swift’s upcoming sixth album, “Reputation,” hits stores on November 10.

She debuted the LP’s lead single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” in August; followed by a promotional track titled “…Ready for It?” in early September.

Neither was particularly well received by the listening public.

The video for “Look What You Made Me Do” was especially lambasted. Watch it below.

Of this new record, though, an insider tells Us Weekly that Swift isn’t messing around.

“She’s definitely coming for the Grammys,” the tabloid writes in its latest issue, adding that the disc is “her most experimental work yet in terms of sound.”

Look for her to go after Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Calvin Harris on different songs, a second insider tells this same magazine.

Also: look for Swift to be EVERYwhere later this fall in promotion of the album.

Are you ready for her musical comeback?!?

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn: Here"s How Their Relationship is Going

Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” music video is out, and everybody has an opinion. About the song, the video, the singer, … and her comeback.

A lot of those opinions are wrong, but hey, a plurality of opinions is what makes the world go ‘round.

While some former friends and many former fans have turned on the Grammy-winning singer, she has the support of the ones who matter most. Including her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

Taylor’s breakup with Calvin Harris came right around the time when, thanks to Kim Kardashian releasing some shadily incomplete audio recordings over Snapchat and Calvin turning on her,

Taylor then started to date Tom Hiddleston. Like, almost right away.

Some people accused her of having cheated on Calvin Harris with Tom. Others accused Taylor of just having a fake relationship with the British actor.

And there were some people who accused her of both.

(No, it doesn’t make sense, but that’s the beauty of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories — they don’t have to)

About a year ago, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston broke up.

During their relationship and since, Taylor Swift very deliberately stepped back from the spotlight as much as possible.

Sometimes you need to step back to nurse your wounds.

Sometimes you need to keep to yourself when you’re planning your comeback … and your spectacular revenge.

While Taylor did a little of both, she started dating a British actor named Joe Alwyn.

Despite Taylor’s status as one of the most famous singers in the world, the two of them have kept their relationship relatively low-key.

(So low-key that we always double-check to make sure that we’re remembering his name correctly. “Alwyn” is distinct and sounds like a wizard’s name. “Joe” is so generic that we’re like “Tom Alwyn?” “John Alwyn?”)

But with Taylor’s big comeback — the musical equivalent of a supervillain emerging from the water in a giant robot to wreak havoc on the city — it’s becoming more difficult for their relationship to remain so private.

And now we know a little more about how things are going between them.

According to what a source close to Taylor tells People, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are “very happy together.”

Taylor’s been taking extreme measures to “go undercover” while seeing him, even wearing wigs, hats, and scarves like she’s in a spy movie, so it’s clear that they enjoy the relationship enough that they’re willing to put up with a lot of nonsense in order to make it happen.

But it sounds like it’s worth it.

“Her decision to keep her relationship with Joe quiet is making her happy.”

There’s no telling how that will change.

But there’s something to be said for the difference between a relationship that’s in the spotlight from its inception and a relationship that has months and months to build and grow before it becomes a truly public affair.

Taylor and Joe have been using their time wisely.

“They have been getting to know each other slowly without any pressure.”

That’s a healthy start to things.

Earlier this year, while she was still laying low, Taylor Swift spent a while in the UK.

Joe Alwyn is an actor with his own career, and is filming a movie titled The Favourite.

(Awww, look how British that title is!)

They also have some reports about how Joe Alwyn views the relationship.

Joe visits Taylor here in the US a lot, and “is very happy about spending time at home with Taylor.”

Well, that’s no surprise.

(Did you SEE how hot she was in her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video? Especially in the room with the magenta lighting. Dang, girl)

“They seem to be on the same page. Joe is getting to know Taylor’s parents and everyone likes him.”

He’s even met her family!

(Gosh, imagine being Taylor’s relative throughout all of the public drama)

Joe has a very important quality in any boyfriend that Taylor might have:

“He is very supportive of her work.”

And, we’re sure, of her.

Honestly, after everything and all of the nonsense, we’re glad that Taylor’s found a boyfriend who gets her.

Hopefully, this one won’t betray her with a Twitter rant after they break up that paints her as a villain just because people found out that she’s behind one of his big successes.

We also hope that Taylor’s quiet bliss with Joe Alwyn can survive the storm that’s coming when her album is released.

Her single’s only been out a week, folks. “Look What You Made Me Do” is crushing records and it’s not even close to her best song.

Batten down the hatches, folks. Taylor’s not done with us, yet.

Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift Take MAJOR Step in Their Relationship

Taylor Swift may have recently lost a good friend in Lorde.

But is the singer about to gain a new set of in-laws?!?

This is the question we’re forced to ask now that a new tabloid report implies that the romance between Swift and Joe Alwyn is about to take a significant step.

In the direction of marriage?!?

Hey, you never know!

According to Life & Style, Swift has extended a special invitation to Alwyn’s parents to fly from Great Britain to Nashville in order to spend time with her parents.

One can only assume such an invitation would not be extended unless Alwyn and Swift were serious about their relationship.

“Taylor is extremely close to her family and she loves Joe’s parents,” a source tells this magazine. “She really wants them all to get to know each other.”

We believe Taylor is even offering to fly the Alwyns on a private jet to make this meeting happen.

The singer and the scarcely-known British actor have been dating for about six months now.

You’re forgiven if you’ve failed to remember this, however, considering how quiet Swift has remained about the arrangement.

In other cases, one might assume this would mean that Swift were ashamed of Alwyn for some reason.

When it comes to Taylor, however, the opposite assumption may be the safest one to make.

The artist has been mocked mercilessly over the years for flaunting relationships with fellow stars such as Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston in public. Many critics believe these weren’t even relationships.

They were mere PR opportunities dragged out over several months.

Might Swift have finally learned her lesson?

Might she actually feel so strongly about Alwyn that she’s focused on their future far more than she’s focused on how the press will react to their public displays of affection?

“Taylor has offered to fly Joe’s parents out by private jet,” the Life & Style source insider says, concluding:

“His folks are low-key and aren’t used to the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle, but Taylor’s going out of her way to impress them.”

It’s almost like she doesn’t want any bad blood to exist between then and her family members.

We tend to think she’s yearning to write a love story with a happy ending in this case.

When it comes to her feelings for Alwyn, it’s sort of like Taylor can’t shake them off because she hasn’t experienced a romance like this since the year she was born, 1989.

Never ever getting back together? It’s more like Swift may have finally found someone from whom she never wants to be apart.

Like, EVER.

Selena Gomez Gives Taylor Swift"s Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Her Stamp of Approval

Joe Alwyn may not exactly be an international man of mystery, but never before have we known less about Taylor Swift’s love life.

He’s not a nobody, but most of her exes have been household names themselves. Plus she’s written songs about most of them.

It turns out that answers about Taylor’s current relationship come from a different singer — Selena Gomez.

Selena was interviewed on SiriusXM, and shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

Like, they talked about other things, too. Selena’s a celebrity in her own right, and we were listening to her music for years before we ever started marathoning Taylor’s songs.

But the two are famous for their friendship. Selena gave an appropriately polite but vague answer:

“Honestly, if my friends are happy, that makes me happy. That’s all I care about.”

That is one of the most diplomatic imaginable ways to say that you’re not going to blab about your friend’s personal life.

That’s extra important, considering that Taylor initially wanted to keep Joe Alwyn a secret.

We don’t know as much about Joe Alwyn as we do about … well, any of Taylor’s exes.

He has the first name of an average person and the last name of an up-and-coming wizard’s apprentice, but clearly Taylor wants to do her best to avoid excessive exposure.

Overexposure, more than her feud with Kim Kardashian or messy breakup with Calvin Harris, was what heralded the end of Taylor Swift’s massive two-year popularity surge.

The feud and break-up were just … catalysts.

But she’s clearly looking to lay low for a while longer.

Kind of hard to do when you’re one of the most famous people on the planet, but we get it.

Selena’s relationship with The Weeknd is fairly low-key, considering that they were both already famous.

Which is not to say that Selena’s been keeping the relationship a secret, by any means. They’re even Instagram official.

Selena did open up a little about how things are going with them, but kept her answers almost as vague as Taylor’s.

“I hang out with my new person a lot.”

The Weeknd is her “new person,” clearly, but we think that she was trying to match her tone to her answer about Joe Alwyn rather than imply that she’s just had a new boyfriend delivered.

Also, we already knew that they hang out a lot, as they’ve been spotted absolutely everywhere.

She also added that it wasn’t only the happiness of her friends that matters to her.

“So, I’m super stoked, too. It’s been a good time.”

You know, good for her, right?

It’s good that their relationship is so strong, and that neither of them seem to feel insecure when she praised ex Justin Bieber’s Manchester performance.

Selena and Taylor have been friends for years and years.

Like, before we ever associated Taylor Swift and her friends with a “squad,” these two extraordinarily talented singers were hanging out together.

That also means that Taylor must have put up with a lot during Selena’s Bieber years.

So it’s no surprise that Selena’s been sticking by Taylor’s side during her recent public opinion rough patch.

That’s what friendship’s really about, you know?

No matter what rollercoasters of relationships or popularity these girls ride in life, they’re both extraordinary singers.

We’ll be enjoying their music for years and years to come.

And it’s heartening to know that, even if both of them call it quits with their boyfriends tomorrow, they’ll still both be ride-or-die with each other.

Taylor Swift Started Dating Joe Alwyn Just WEEKS After Dumping Tom Hiddleston!

If you have any interest in the game of “which pale Brit is playing the role of Taylor Swift’s arm candy today?” then you’ve probably already heard that Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn.

Like Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, and Harry Styles before him, Joe is a pasty young lad from the UK.

Unlike those other blokes, he’s not really famous in his own right, so there’s no risk that Joe will outshine Taylor or team with one of her celebrity rivals.

It’s a match made in Superficial Heaven!

The official story from Camp Swifty is that Taylor has “learned from her past relationships” and thus decided to move to slowly and keep things on the down-low with Joe.

That lie served it’s intended purpose for about a week, but now there’s a whole slew of pesky facts getting in the way of the “mature, world-weary Taylor” narrative.

For instance, we learned yesterday that Alwyn and Swift are moving in together.

Now, to us, that doesn’t sound like taking things slow, especially when moving in together requires one person to relocate to another continent.

(It’s Joe who will be leaving his home to move in with Taylor, obvi.)

Unless, of course, they’ve actually been together much longer than they’re letting on.

A clearly Taylor-approved source spoke to People magazine this week, and she may have revealed more than she intended to about Taylor’s relationship timeline:

“Taylor has been insanely private about her relationship with Joe,” the insider says.

“She wanted to get to know him without any chaos. She has learned from the past.”

The insider adds:

“Joe’s a very normal, down-to-earth guy. He’s private and low-key.”

And now that the relationship is public, the Taylor surrogate claims, “they’re on the same page on how to handle the attention.”

The tipster stopped just short of saying they rode unicorns over a rainbow on their first date, a la Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone.

Unfortunately, like Kellyanne Conway on a Sunday morning talk show, the Taylor talk piece got cocky and screwed up when it came time to confirm some details:

Asked if Taylor and Joe were already dating when they were spotted at a Kings of Leon concert (RIP, Kings of Leon Being Cool: 2003 – 2017) back in October, the source replied in the affirmative.

That would mean they were officially dating just weeks after Taylor broke up with Tom Hiddleston.

And of course, there’s no saying how soon Taylor and Joe started hooking up before they made it official.

Guess she’s shaking off relationships faster than ever these days.

Taylor Swift & Joe Alwyn: Moving In Together Already?!

It’s only been a week since we learned that Taylor Swift is dating Joe Alwyn, and fortunately, the famously unlucky-in-love singer is taking her time and really letting this relationship develop gradually.

Just kidding, she’s running into this thing like she just got word that the Single People Apocalypse is coming and only those in serious relationships will be saved.

At first Taylor tried to keep her relationship with Alwyn a secret.

Since that didn’t work, they’ve apparently decided to just say screw it and start picking out china patterns.

Okay, so they’re not quite getting married, but they are moving at a speed that should ensure Taylor will have a new breakup album in stores by the end of summer.

According to UK tabloid The Sun, Joe is currently in the midst of moving to Los Angeles so that he can spend more time with Tay.

No word on whether or not they’ll live together once he relocates, but it would be a little weird to move several thousand miles for someone and then get a separate place, wouldn’t it?

“Joe really wants to be near Taylor and moving to the US will mean they can spend much more time together,” a source tells The Sun.

“He’s a real family man and is close to his parents, so he will still be a regular visitor to their London home.

The insider adds:

“That means Taylor will still be able to continue her love affair with London where she can walk around unnoticed and live a relatively normal life.”

Oh, Taylor has a thing for London?

We never would’ve guessed from the fact that her last eleventy bajillion boyfriends were all British.

Anyway, we’re sure Alwyn really does believe the move will help his career, but not because he’ll be closer to Hollywood.

Living in SoCal will help raise his public profile because Taylor is a tabloid magnet and summer is when she seems to be at her most scandalous.

Just last night, Katy Perry finally confirmed her feud with Swift.

If Alwyn is smart, he’ll have his ass walking up and down Sunset in an “I [heart] T.S.” shirt by this weekend.

Taylor Swift Tried, Failed to Keep Joe Alwyn Relationship a Secret

Taylor Swift is pissed.

We don’t mean that she’s angry about the new Katy Perry diss track directed at her (although that’s almost certainly the case).

No, we’re talking about Taylor’s outrage over the whole finding out about her new relationship.

As you may have heard, Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn.

Alwyn is an actor, but he’s not super famous like her like every single one of her previous beaus.

Many have taken Alwyn’s status as a relative unknown as a positive indication that Taylor has learned from her past relationships.

Another good sign?

Whereas Taylor stopped just short of taking out an ad in Variety to announce her previous romances, she tried to keep her relationship with Alwyn on the down-low.

Unfortunately, as she has no experience with doing anything low-key, she’s not very good at it, and the press found out about Joe almost immediately.

“Taylor went to great lengths to keep their relationship private and out of the spotlight while [she and Alwyn] have been getting to know one another,” an insider tells E! News.

“She has made several trips to see him, but always flies in and out on a private jet with lots of security and has been flying into very small and remote airports.”

Yep, Taylor was probably out there meeting dude on foggy runways in a trench coat with the collar turned up.

We’re guessing tt was like something straight out of Casablanca, and … dammit, we just gave her the concept for her next video, didn’t we?

Anyway, the source claims that Taylor even had a Plan B in place for times when the press started wondering why she was spending so much time in London:

“If she was seen in England, she made sure everyone thought it was a work trip,” the insider claims.

“Taylor and Joe have really tried to be on lockdown and have spent most of their time together in private locations where they could get to know each other without the pressure of a public relationship and people making judgment calls.”

The source adds that Taylor was initially “bummed” that the word got out about her relationship, but now she sees an upside:

“At the same time, she is really excited about being with Joe and is hoping she can relax a little bit more now and just enjoy being with him,” the tipster says.

Well, that’s Taylor Swift for you.

When it comes to her relationships, she’s just a laid back gal who likes to go with the flow.

Just kidding, she probably broke up with Joe 14 times this afternoon.

Joe Alwyn: Oh, Yes, He"s Dating Taylor Swift!

Taylor Swift has been out of the spotlight for several months.

And we may now know why:

The singer is in love! Again! Maybe!

According to numerous celebrity gossip outlets, Swift is dating a British film and theater actor named Joe Alwyn.

The Sun was the first newspaper or magazine to report this news… and it has us SO excited!

Swift is allegedly renting a home in North London in order to be close to her new man, while a source tells the U.K. publication that Taylor is taking extreme measures to go unnoticed while spending time with Alwyn.

She supposedly uses wigs and other disguises to go unnoticed while hanging out with Alwyn overseas.

E! News even writes that Swift is making a “military-like” effort to keep this relationship on the Down Low, which would mean she’s learned a lesson or two from her past failures with the opposite sex.

The singer, of course, has often been criticized for flaunting romances with such fellow celebrities as Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.

In a recent interview, Harry Styles didn’t seem too excited to talk about Swift, either.

The suddenly elusive artist has scarcely been heard from since last summer, taking a hiatus from the spotlight after Kim Kardashian exposed Taylor as a liar by playing for the world a phone conversation she had with Kanye West.

In the damning conversation, Swift and West talked about the rapper’s track “Famous,” proof that Taylor actually was aware Kanye planned to slam her in one of the song’s verses.

She had previously played ignorant and annoyed when asked about the single.

However, Swift did resurface over Mother’s Day weekend, marking the first time photographers snapped her since January.

The superstar spent the holiday in Nashville, Tennessee at her mom Andrea Swift’s residence, not long after she also made her return to Instagram.

As for Joe Alwyn? We don’t know how the two met.

But one insider says the following to The Sun:

“Taylor and Joe are the real deal, this is a very serious relationship. But after what happened with Tom Hiddleston, they were determined to keep it quiet.”

As for who Joe Alwyn actually is?!?

Allow us to rundown some facts about the 26-year old:

He lives with his parents.

He made his feature film debut opposite Kristen Stewart, Vin Diesel, Garret Hedlund and Steve Martin in 2016’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.

He recently wrapped production on upcoming flick, The Favourite, and will star as Emma Stone’s love interest.

He loves… The Twilight Saga?!?

“I’ve seen one of them twice,” Alwyn admitted of the vampire film franchise while doing press with Stewart for the aforementioned movie.

Alwyn also studied at the National Youth Theatre in London until moving on to study drama at the University of Bristol.

“I went to university and I read English and Drama there and I did as much stuff beyond the course as I could,” he once said in an interview, adding:

“At the end of the three years, I applied to drama school and I got into one in London and I was there for three years until last year. I left early last year when I got [my first role].”

Alwyn’s father is a documentary filmmaker and both his parents have influenced his passion for acting.

“I’ve always grown up with [my father] showing me films and I’ve always loved going to the cinema,” he told People Magazine last year.

“And my mum had taken me to the theater a lot, so I always wanted to be a part of that world in some way but didn’t quite know how or how to go about it.”

Oh, and one more fact about Joe Alwyn:

He will soon be the subject of a Taylor Swift breakup song.

We’re going out on a limb with this one.

But not a very fragile limb, we don’t think.
