Jax Taylor: Caught Cheating on Brittany Cartwright AGAIN?!

Last month, Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor got engaged to Brittany Cartwright.

Fans of the series were more than a little surprised, not because Jax has never really seemed like the marrying kind (although there is that), but because he’s seemed to go out of his way to make Brittany’s life markedly worse throughout their time together.

To be fair, Brittany might have had a better idea of what was in store if she had bothered to watch her fiancé’s show even once before moving to LA to be with him, but after seeing her hometown on her and Jax’s short-lived spinoff, we really can’t blame Cartwright for taking the first opportunity to bolt.

And besides, even Jax’s worse critics couldn’t have predicted he would behave this badly.

At first, it was just the drunken tirades and indiscriminate lying we’ve come to expect from West Hollywood’s most unrepentant sociopath.

But wasn’t long before the cheating began.

Yes, not only did Jax sleep with Faith Stowers behind Brittany’s back, he proceeded to gaslight her into oblivion long after a mountain of evidence had made it abundantly clear that Taylor definitely cheated.

But surely now that he and Brittany are engaged, Jax will make more of an effort to keeping it in his pants, right? Wellllll …

Apparently, this past Friday, Brittany was out of town, and Jax took the opportunity to go out partying with some of his male friends.

But in news that won’t shock anyone who’s ever watched like 5 seconds of Vanderpump, it wasn’t very long before some females got involved in the boys’ night. Allegedly.

An LA-based fan of the show tweeted and deleted accusations that she and Jax got it on in a bathroom stall.

Ya know, as one does when one is pushing 40 and newly engaged to be married.

Jax opted not to comment on the allegations, and instead went off on a random fan who brought the rumor to his attention, because uncontrollable rage is a delightful quality in a future husband.

Here’s a bit of that exchange:

“It’s all good we need haters too.. people only talk shit when they are jealous or want to be a hater, remember that haters make the world go round. Have a good one!!” Jax tweeted.

“.@talktrashy2me not being mean but we are a successful show that’s been on for many many years, people who still show hate are sad, and have to realize we aren’t going anywhere, so you might as well join The vanderpump party!!”

He added:

“This means you are a middle aged person who is not happy with the way life turned out, they never made a jump to anything bigger and now regretting it, then they see people on tv that they actually “like” mind you, you don’t troll people you hate, you ain’t foolin anyone.”

Wow. Sounds like Mr. Taylor has been getting into the pasta again.

Look, if the accusations are baseless, we can understand his frustration, but there’s still no need for Jax to go off on a fan who was merely trying to make sure he was aware of what folks are saying out there.

Oh, and dude, don’t jinx yourself by saying you’re not going anywhere.

Very few reality shows remain on the air past ten years without major cast retooling, and it’s very rare that the stars from such franchises retain anything resembling real fame after their series come to an end.

Snooki is the exception, not the rule, ya dig?

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor: Actually Engaged!!!!!

Back in April, we asked the following question:

Is the romance between Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor really over for good?

Fast forward about three months and we have a definitive answer from the Vanderpump Rules cast members:

Heck no! It will literally NEVER be over!

Indeed, Cartwright and Taylor stunned a majority of the Internet on Thursday night by announcing their ENGAGEMENT!

The veteran reality stars did so via Instagram, with Brittany sharing a close-up of her impressive diamond ring and a smiling Taylor staring into the camera in the background.

“Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED! What a way to start our summer and season 7!!” wrote Cartwright as a caption, managing to tease both her personal future and professional future at once.

She added:

“I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed!

“I am the happiest girl ever right now.”

Cartwright and Taylor, whose journey toward this moment will be chronicled next year on Vanderpump Rules, celebrated their engagement at beachside restaurant Neptune’s Net in Malibu, California.

Taylor, meanwhile, chimed in himself via Instagram by gushing as follows:

She said yes!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see how this happened next season!!! I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!!

He then plugged a couple friends/companies who very likely gave him and Brittany a free piece of jewelry and a free meal in exchange:

Make sure y’all tune in season 7 to see how this unfolded. My amazing friend/brother @kcdlovecampaign knocked it out of the park on this ring. I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond.

Why did this announcement take us by surprise?

Why did we never think this day would come?

Because Jax and Brittany seemingly broke up last year amidst a rather intense and ugly cheating scandal.

The former admittedly slept with Faith Stowers, a former SUR staffer Faith Stowers who knows Cartwright pretty well.

But that’s not even the end of it, although that in and of itself would put an end to most relationships.

Stowers has talked openly about this affair, stating for the record that Jax said his sex life with Brittany sucked and that he hoped he could have a threesome with Stowers and Cartwright.

He supposedly just wanted to bring Stowers into bed with him and Cartwright, without actually dumping the latter.

Alas, the threesome never materialized, as far as we know, and Jax simply banged Faith on the side.

Stowers then pretended to be pregnant, while Taylor did all he could to win Brittany back over.

“He has betrayed me in so many ways,” Cartwright told the camera during a Vanderpump Rules episode that aired in April, adding:

“He’s cheated on me, he’s begged for me back, he’s played mind games with me.

“And I know that he’s not changing and he’s always going to be the same Jax Taylor he always has been.”

And yet, apparently, Cartwright simply can’t get enough of this Jax Taylor.

Tweeted Jax this spring:

“I am not perfect and I will never be but I am working very hard on myself.

“I realized later that @BNCartwright is my angel and she makes me want to be a better man.”

Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright: Are They Really Done For Good?!

From the very start of their relationship, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright faced some pretty severe challenges, many of them resulting from what Taylor describes as his “Peter Pan complex.”

Jax will soon be 39 years old, but the current season of Vanderpump Rules features some of his most batsh-t behavior yet, and Brittany has tolerated all of it … only to get unceremoniously kicked to the curb on last night’s episode.

To understand how bizarre and thoroughly unexpected this move was, we need to go back and re-examine how bonkers Taylor’s behavior has been throughout this season.

Things started off with a bang – literally – when Jax cheated on Brittany with Faith Stowers.

From there, the situation quickly got cranked up to 11 when it was revealed that Stowers might be pregnant with Taylor’s baby.

(That rumor was quickly revealed to be some nonsense that Faith cooked up in order to expand her role on the show. Shady stuff, to be sure, but it’s kind of behavior we’ve come to expect from the SUR staff.)

With the help of some new-age mumbo-jumbo, Jax calmed down for a few weeks … that is until last week’s episode when he had a full-blown meltdown at SUR, even going so far as to flip Lisa Vanderpump the bird.

We’ve seen Jax lose control under the influence of one too many Pump-tinis in the past, but this was a whole new level.

Needless to say, many suspected that he’d traded in his calming stone for a different kind of rock.

We guess it’s not surprising that last night’s episode saw the return of Contrite Jax, a character who’s getting more and more pathetic as he approaches 40.

We expected the usual hollow apologies and pseudo-self-

“I’m not happy with myself. I don’t like who I am and it’s not because of you. Look at all the s–t I’ve caused this summer.” 

Yes, it was a rare moment of self-awareness from Jax. Guess all that Reiki therapy is finally paying off!

Just kidding, it was his way of kicking off a classic “it’s not you; it’s me” speech.

“You deserve to be happy. You deserve to get married. You deserve to have kids. You deserve to have someone treat you like the princess that you are,” Jax said, sounding very much like he was auditioning for a sequel to The Notebook.

“I am just not that person. I am not good in relationships. You deserve a lot better than me. I just don’t think we can be together anymore.”

Viewers were momentarily hopeful that Brittany would finally free herself of what seems to be an absurdly unhealthy relationship:

“F—k you, I am f—king leaving ‘Cause I don’t want to be with you,” she shouted at one point.

“This is exactly what you wanted to do. You said it a long time ago, that you wanted to break up with me, so good job.”

Yes, it did seem like Jax was merely capitalizing on the drama of recent weeks and using it as an excuse to end a relationship that he’s wanted to get out of several months.

But the episode was filmed several months ago, and remarkably, it seems Jax and Brittany are still going strong and bracing themselves for another summer of Patron-fueled mayhem.

In fact, just this morning, Jax was tweeting not only about his love for Brittany, but the future he envisions for the children they’ll have together.

“Our daughter is going to be in pageants I know it.. I am in trouble. who am I kidding I am gonna be the biggest pageant dad ever!

Indeed, Brittany confirmed in a recent interview that she and Jax are still an item after more than two years of constant drama:

“He’s so much better,” she said. “I feel like we’re so much better than we’ve been in a long time.”

As verification that she and Jax are gearing up to for another summer of WeHo insanity, she wrote on Instagram, “New Summer, New Us.”

We cringe to think imagine it … and we can’t wait to see what happens.

Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright: Did They Plan a Threesome With Faith Stowers?!

Jax Taylor’s scandalous hook-up with Faith Stowers has been the talking point of Vanderpump Rules Season 6, but the latest twist in the tale is the biggest stunner yet. 

Faith has been open about the encounter and appears to be milking it for all of its worth in order to be rich enough to dine at SUR. If you watch Vanderpump Rules online, you will know the cast seems to think that dining there will get them the most screen time. 

The former Vanderpump Rules star opened up to Page Six, and she it sure sounds like she has a lot to say. 

“He told me that him and Brittany were not sexually active and he was just trying to get the mojo back in the relationship,” Stowers dished to the website.

“Jax said Brittany agreed that there wasn’t a spark.” 

It’s difficult not to believe the last part. All Jax seems to do is make lewd comments to Brittany and demand she makes him sandwiches, so it would not be surprising if his remarks alone dunked the relationship. 

“[He said] we’d try to do a threesome with you,” Stowers continued.

It all sounds somewhat far-fetched, but there’s no telling what the cast members will do in the name of adding a few more viewers. 

Despite the threesome being a done deal, they did not want to do the deed in the vicinity of Tequila Katie in fears that she could lash out and videotape the whole thing.

That was obviously a joke, but Stowers said the following: “What made it so hard was that Katie [Maloney] lives down the hall and she puts her two cents into [Taylor and Cartwright]’s business.”

Katie should probably be minding her own business and making sure that Tom Schwartz is not throwing his junk around West Hollywood and calling other girls “Bubba.”

If this were the truth, it would mean that Jax and Faith got a little too hot for each other and had the X-Rated session without the Kentucky native. 

Brittany does not seem like the type of girl to agree to a threesome, so there’s that. But, wouldn’t it add a whole new layer of crazy to this whole incident? 

Viewers have been questioning whether the whole thing was cooked up by the producers because of the fact Brittany is still together with Jax. 

If you’ve been keeping up to speed with the series, you will know that the drama was dialed up earlier this week when an audio recording of the event was unveiled by Lala Kent. 

Viewers did not get to hear what was said in the recording, but it sent Brittany into a frenzy. There’s no telling whether we will ever find out what was said, but it did not paint Jax in a good light.

Faith Stowers: Brittany Cartwright Was NEVER My Friend! Jax Taylor is Pathetic!

You know how sometimes your non-friend acquaintance doesn’t text you back, so you take that as permission to bang their boyfriend? That’s life, right?

According to Faith Stowers, anyway. Because she’s not only unapologetic about hooking up with Jax, she’s also claiming that she and Brittany were never really friends.

Way to commit to your role as Vanderpump Rules villain, Faith.

So, on this season of Vanderpump Rules, Faith Stowers has gone from being essentially a glorified extra to being the center of attention.

She slept with Jax Taylor. To make matters worse, she also claimed that she’d missed her period — guaranteeing her the on-camera attention that she clearly craves.

But not all attention is good attention, folks. She’s emerged as the villain.

Just because Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are still together somehow doesn’t mean that Faith didn’t play a key role in sabotaging their relationship.

Was Jax the guiltiest party? Yes.

But since the much-beloved Brittany has taken him back, viewers and fans are going to want to look to the other woman to direct their ire.

And Faith is making herself really, really easy to dislike.

Faith Stowers spoke to Us Weekly in what we assume was, at some point, an attempt to make herself look better.

You tell us how well she succeeded.

“I don’t owe Brittany anything, I’m not Brittany’s friend.”

There is a line of thinking that suggests that only the cheater is doing anything wrong, not the woman with whom he cheats. In some cases, we’re inclined to agree.

But basically everyone, ever, including Faith’s costars, were definitely under the impression that Brittany and Faith were friends.

Faith, however, suggests some “evidence” that they weren’t friends.

“Brittany doesn’t even text me back. I mean, I’m confused.”

Banging somebody’s boyfriend sounds like a bit of an overreaction.

In my day, when somebody didn’t text back, we just set their car on fire. (Kidding!)

It looks like Faith knows that the whole “banged Jax and faked a pregnancy” storyline can’t go on forever without adding a little more fuel to the fire.

Because then she decided to bring up a more salacious topic.

“The only reason why you text me in the beginning was cause you wanted a threesome.”

Apparently this whole thing started when Jax was messaging Faith, ostensibly on behalf of himself and Brittany.

Faith told Us her reaction:

“I was like laughing, ‘LOL, you guys are hilarious. Brittany’s pretty cute though.’”

She’s not wrong.

Faith says that, at the time, she at least entertained the notion of a threesome with her Vanderpump Rules costars.

“I’m kind of flirting with the idea, but I’m not serious.”

But … you know how, if you mention a walk in front of a dog, they get super excited and can’t calm down until you walk them?

That’s the impression that we get of Jax and all of this sex talk. Super eager … but without a dog’s loyalty. Or cuteness.

“I think that’s what pushed the envelope for him. OK now I’m bringing up threesomes, here we go.”

We all know where that led.

Jax screwed up — and by up, we mean Faith.

But Faith is no longer happy with him.

“I actually liked Jax, like I actually appreciated his time, and so it was the fact that he lied to my face.”

The Jax she banged, it seems, was very different from the Jax who tried to preserve his relationship with Brittany Cartwright.

“This kid was almost in tears laying in my bed, talking about this girl, saying he was done with her and he felt trapped. But lie to my face at a party?”

Faith even describes what sex with Jax was like, because of course she does.

“It was almost like he really, really needed this.”

It sounds a little like she’s calling Jax pathetic, here. Or insulting Brittany’s sex skills.

“It was … you could just tell, ’cause even when during the intercourse, it was very intimate, it was like … he just, I don’t know.”

She takes another stab at describing their encounter.

“He was in a whole other world, he was just so excited. I don’t know. I was into it, cause I liked him, I could tell he was more into it than I was. If that makes any sense.”

That actually does make sense … but we don’t really need to hear Jax’s sexual experiences described to us ever again. Please.

Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright: Are They Still Together Following Cheating Scandal?

If you caught this week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, then you witnesses a truly shocking development:

Jax Taylor confessed to cheating on Brittany Cartwright with the couple’s former co-worker Faith Stowers.

The shocking part, of course, was not that Jax was unfaithful, but that he admitted to it.

Sure, he’s ‘fessed up to past infidelities, but only after the evidence mounted steadily for several months.

This time, it only took 36 hours of Jax’s guilt being painfully obvious before he came clean. Progress!

The cheating revelation (and subsequent, phony pregnancy claim by Stowers) is just the latest in a long line of bumps in the road for the troubled couple.

Many of their difficulties were documented on the summer spinoff series Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky, the finale of which showed Taylor and Cartwright taking up residence in different states following a blow-out argument.

Somehow, Jax and Brittany survived that debacle, and amazingly, it seems they’re sticking together despite Jax getting busted sleeping aroung on national television.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Jax revealed that he and Brittany have never broken up … though he admits even he was a it surprised that she was willing to give him a second chance after his latest slip-up.

“I was very shocked. I love her very much, and that’s not what I wanted. It was just a bad time that we were going through.” Taylor said.

“I do have a lot of making up to do, I still do, I am making it up. And it’s a work in progress.”

Asked if marriage is still a possibility for him and Brittany Jax basically let out a long sigh, rolled his eyes and went, “I gueeeeess sooooooo.”

“Seeing how she is with people, seeing how she is with me, I don’t really want to be with anybody else. And then I also don’t want her to be with anybody else,” Taylor told Us.

“And so, I don’t want to lose her. So if marriage is what we need to do, then that’s what we’re gonna do.”

Every woman dreams of the day when the love her life gets down on one knee and says, “Hey, if this is what we have to do, let’s do it.”

As for whether or not the couple will ever relocate to Brit’s home state of Kentucky … we wouldn’t bet on it.

“It’d be nice to have a house there, we’ve talked about that,” the former model revealed to Us.

“Putting a house maybe on her property. But I think we’re gonna kinda move to Florida at some point.”

We look forward to referring to Jax as “Florida man” in a future headline, most likely after Brittany stabs him 43 times upon catching him in bed with a pair of Miami Dolphins cheerleaders.

Ariana Madix: Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor Almost Destroyed My Relationship!

Lisa Vanderpump and all of her messy TV children are back.

Vanderpump Rules‘ season six premiere showed us a lot of drama … including some “troubles” between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright.

Not to be outdone, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval have also been shown to be having relationship struggles. And they’re laying the blame for their issues directly at the feet of Jax and Brittany.

Back when we first heard about Jax Taylor cheating on Brittany Cartwright, Tom Sandoval seemed to try to distance himself from that narrative.

For a quick refresher:

Jax and Brittany have of course been together for ages, but Jax was accused of cheating on her with Faith Stowers.

And then it appeared that Faith Stowers’ period was late — suggesting that she might be pregnant with Jax’s baby.

Both Ariana and Tom expressed disbelief.

As entertaining as most of us find the idea of Jax Taylor, of all people, being happily monogamous for two years, it looks like at least some of his fellow Vanderpump Rules stars believe that he’s remained loyal to Ariana.

But while some believe that Jax has been faithful, others believed that he’d been filling Faith.

(Sorry)

To no one’s surprise, Katie Maloney was quick to bash Jax, suggesting that he should just find a girl who won’t mind his alleged cheating.

All caught up?

Well, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval were clearly also struggling in their relationship, but we don’t know where that storyline is going, exactly.

In an interview with TooFab, they try to explain a little about that without, you know, spoiling their entire season’s storyline on Vanderpump Rules.

They start off by talking about the drama between Jax and Brittany.

“We can’t obviously give away too much,” Ariana says. “But they are together now, as you can see on social media … it’s a lot.“

You can hide a lot from social media, but people can pretty much tell if you’re still together or not.

(Also, and maybe this is a generational thing, but I love when people refer to something as “a lot.” It tells you that something will be intense and probably messy without giving any details)

“So just gird your loins for that one.”

That line could mean anything from “Faith fabricated a pregnancy just to destroy Brittany’s life!” to “Brittany is staying with Jax and has promised to help raise his lovechild once Faith gives birth.”

But, you know, probably something between those extremes.

Ariana then gets into how Jax and Brittany’s problems weren’t limited to each other.

“It’s like a ripple effect.”

That makes sense. 

“Anything that happens with any one couple, somehow ripples into all of the other people.”

When a bunch of people are close, whether they’re friends, family, frenemies, coworkers, or costars, everyone’s lives (and drama) can become interconnected.

And, specifically, Ariana says that she and Tom felt those effects.

“I think you see in the trailer that Tom and I went through some stuff so I’ll go ahead and say that that had something to do with it.”

That is … incredibly vague, Ariana.

But that’s her job.

For a scripted series, actors play characters who aren’t them at all, and are free to divulge almost everything from their personal lives.

For a reality series, though, your personal lives are the storyline. You have to keep personal details under wraps.

It it fair for Ariana and Tom to blame Jax and Brittany and that couple’s “ripple effect” for their own relationship problems?

Perhaps it will all make more sense once we’ve seen a lot more of this season.

Jax Taylor: Did He REALLY Cheat on Brittany Cartwright?!

If you watched last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, you know that the show’s sixth season premiere certainly didn’t disappoint in terms of bad behavior and high drama.

And naturally, much of the lying and cheating came to us courtesy of Mr. Jax Taylor.

At a party for Scheana Marie’s birthday, Jax was accused of cheating on longtime girlfriend Brittany Cartwright with his former SUR staffer Faith Stowers.

To make matters worse–and by “worse,” we mean more entertainingly bonkers–Stowers informed James Kennedy that she missed her period and believes she might be pregnant with Jax’s baby, 

Yes, it was a season premiere that delivered season finale-caliber fireworks, and three of the show’s principal players discussed the latest developments in an interview with Us Weekly.

“I actually heard about it and I didn’t know what to think about it. It seemed pretty far-fetch,” Jax’s friend Tom Sandoval told Us.

“It’s something that you’ll definitely get to the bottom of pretty quickly in the season.”

Far-fetched?! Is Jax some sort of charismatic cult leader when the cameras aren’t rolling?

The only thing far-fetched about this situation is the idea that Jax was actually monogamous for two years prior to banging a co-worker.

Shockingly, Sandoval’s girlfriend, Ariana Madix, echoed the sentiment, saying that she believes Jax has put his cheating ways behind him since meeting Brittany:

“That was pretty shocking and … it’s one of those things. Jax, with Brittany, he’s seemed kind of like this different person, so to hear that rumor, it’s like, ’Is it far-fetched? But it is.’ It’s weird,” Ariana told the tabloid.

She added that she was surprised by the accusation, as she doesn’t believe that Stowers would stoop so low:

“In the past I would have said, ‘Oh yeah, for sure.’ Because that sounds just like Jax. But now, it doesn’t seem like that. Also, Faith was somebody I considered to be a friend,” Madix said.

“So that’s also really weird and shocking and upsetting. The whole thing was just bizarre, honestly.”

Not surprisingly, longtime Jax detractor Katie Maloney is considerably less willing to give Taylor the benefit of the doubt.

“It was sad,” she told Us.

“It was hard because Brittany is such a sweet, amazing person, who deserves the best — 100 percent. I was nervous about her getting with Jax. I remember when they first started dating, we were like, ‘If you screw her over, you’re done. We keep her. You go.’

“For the most part, I felt like he had been behaving himself,” Katie added.

“But when I heard this, I knew it was true. No one had told me anything, but knowing Jax, there was never a question of whether or not it was just a rumor.”

Asked if she believes Jax is even capable of being monogamous, Maloney revealed that she’s not terribly optimistic:

“No. I think he needs to be with someone where it can be like an open relationship. Maybe be with a woman who is kind of the same way as him. You know, have a little side action.”

Madix chimed in, saying that while she doesn’t necessarily believe Jax was unfaithful to his girlfriend, she does feel that he needs to treat Cartwright better if he wants the relationship to continue:

“She doesn’t deserve that. She doesn’t deserve half the … like the ‘make me a sandwich’ comments,” Ariana said.

“Some of the stuff that Jax has said to her and about her, she doesn’t deserve that at all.”

None of the cast members would confirm or deny the reports that Jax and Brittany have broken up, but they assured fans that there’s plenty more drama to come.

“It’s just … not over,” Maloney stated.

Jax Taylor: DUMPED By Brittany Cartwright Ahead of Spinoff Premiere?!

After a months-long promotional campaign that kicked off during the Vanderpump Rules reunion show, the premiere of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s spinoff series is almost here.

But it looks like the troubled couple won’t be watching it together.

For months, we’ve been hearing rumors that Jax and Brittany have broken up. 

Now, a source close to the couple is claiming that Taylor and Cartwright are no longer a couple, and the breakup was far from mutual.

The insider tells Radar Online that Brittany dumped Jax during a recent blow-out fight.

“Brittany was fed up,” the tipster tells Radar. “Jax wasn’t boyfriend material.”

Asked what drove Cartwright to finally call it quits, the source says simply, “He didn’t treat her right.”

If you watch Vanderpump Rules online, you know that Jax being a less-than-ideal boyfriend is nothing new.

But apparently, when she was caught up with life in West Hollywood, Brittany was unable to decide whether Jax was a jerk or simply a product of a culture that’s very different from the one she grew up with.

It wasn’t long into the couple’s latest trip to her hometown in Kentucky that Brittany was able to put things in perspective and realize that Jax is not the guy for her.

“Jax and Brittany had issues for months with her parents,” the insider says.

“Her parents didn’t like Jax and the way he treated her or anyone for that matter.”

Brittany apparently took some time to get reacquainted with her roots and left Kentucky last week having decided to break things off with Jax.

It seems the fight that took place not long after the couple’s return to LA afforded her the opportunity to end the relationship.

“Her family is her life, so she went back home to get clarity and spend time with her mom,” the insider added. 

“Her family stress was too much and with the spinoff there was so much pressure.” 

So we’re guessing you won’t be seeing Jax and Brittany promoting their new show together.

(Unless, of course, Bravo is encouraging them to keep their breakup under wraps.)

But hey, at least Jax won’t be returning to the singles scene alone.

Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright: Struggling to Save Relationship?

If you watch Vanderpump Rules online, then you’re probably aware that Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are an odd couple who somehow manage to make things work.

He’s a Los Angeles-based former male model with a penchant for hard partying and a tendency to stir up drama.

She’s a simple Kentucky gal whose greatest ambitions are settling down and starting a family.

When rumors about Jax and Brittany breaking up began to circulate online, not many were shocked that this seemingly doomed relationship had come to an end.

But the timing of the split did come as something of a surprise.

A Jax and Brittany spinoff series premieres on Bravo next month, and the couple is currently both filming a new season of Vanderpump and promoting Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky.

That means, of course, that they’re spending an awful lot of time together for a pair of exes.

So it makes sense that Taylor and Cartwright are fighting to save their relationship – and fortunately for fans of messy reality TV drama, the struggle is playing out in front of a Bravo camera crew.

According to Radar Online, preview footage of Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky shows Cartwright outlining what Taylor would have to do in order to keep her around.

“Well first off, he would have to fix his temper,” she explains in the clip.

“He would have to bring himself down a notch and realize he is not the big man on campus all the time. He needs to be a little bit more level headed.”

She adds:

“He could be a really great guy and then he’ll turn around and do something really stupid after,” she added. “So he just needs to watch his mouth and have more respect for himself and others.”

Cartwright’s mother, who took some much-deserved flak for expressing homophobic views during a recent episode of Vanderpump also chimes in with her two cents about the ways in which Jax needs to change:

“I would like to see Jax change if he’s going to marry Brittany,” Sherri Cartwright tells the cameras.

“I would like him to be a little bit more conservative.”

Sherri went on to say that she feels Jax should begin attending church and be more responsible with his finances.

“I’d like for him to maybe save his money a little bit more for the future,” she says.

Sounds like Brittany and her mom have an awful long wish list for Jax.

And we’re guessing most of those wishes will remain unfulfilled.

Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright: Secretly Broken Up?

Season six of Vanderpump Rules is filming now, but before we dive back into the endless drama at SUR, we’ll be invited to take a closer look at one of the show’s most amusing couples.

As you may have heard, a Jax Taylor-Brittany Cartwright spinoff is set to debut on Bravo next month, and sources close to production say things got unexpectedly dark on set.

What was supposed to be a lighthearted, fish-out-of-water reality sitcom (think Green Acres meets Jessica Simpson’s Newlyweds), apparently got real as a result of Jax and Brittany’s relationship issues.

Rumors about Taylor and Cartwright breaking up have been circulating pretty much from the time they first got together, and yet the couple has always persevered.

But insiders say Cartwright’s family has been putting constant pressure on Jax to propose, and the result has been a strain on their relationship that appears to have been the final straw.

The couple was able to stick out during their time filming at her family’s home in Kentucky, but reportedly only because Jax got Brittany’s concerned parents off his back with a series of empty promises.

“He said he wants to marry her, but he’s not ready,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.

The insider adds that Taylor and Cartwright returned to LA in “rocky territory” and effectively decided to call it quits shortly thereafter.

But since the split happened while Vanderpump wasn’t shooting, we may see Jax and Brittany reenact the last gasps of their relationship in front of the cameras.

“Brittany and Jax are being forced to work on their issues for the show from producers,” says the insider.

It’s unclear if that means producers want them to try and fix the relationship because it’s good for ratings, or if they simply want to capture the drama of the couple’s final days.

Either way, it seems that Jax and Brittany will soon replace Tom and Katie – or perhaps Kristen and … everyone she’s ever dated – as the show’s resident dysfunctional couple.

Jax Taylor-Brittany Cartwright Spinoff: Bad Idea, or the Worst Idea?

For many fans, Vanderpump Rules Season 5 had something of a shark-jumpy air about it.

Critics feel the show focused too much on the wedding of the show’s least-lovable couple (the seemingly mismatched Tom and Katie Schwartz), while ignoring far more compelling storylines such as Scheana Marie’s divorce from Mike Shay.

The capper to what was arguably already an over-long season is a three-part series of Vanderpump reunion shows (which brings the season’s total episode count to an astonishing 24, possibly another reason for the drop-off in quality.)

The reunion shows are padded to within an inch of their lives (He seems like a cool kid, but did Stassi Schroeder’s 12-year-old brother really have to dole out life advice to every member of the cast?), but they contain the occasional big reveal.

Or at least they confirm rumors that have already been out there for months.

On last night’s episode, we learned that the Jax Taylor-Brittany Cartwright spinoff series (previously known as the worst-kept secret in Bravo history) is officially a go.

Jax and Brittany take Kentucky will premiere sometime this summer, and while the show is a spinoff of a spinoff, it’s not surprising that Andy Cohen and company have decided to go this route.

Vanderpump remains immensely popular and Jax is still the show’s biggest personality.

Watching Jax put in work on a Kentucky farm in an effort to convince his future in-laws that he’s the right man for Brittany could make for an amusing fish-out-of-water tale.

The fear among some fans was that the show would spend have too much of a lighthearted Green Acres tone and get too much mileage out of Taylor fumbling with simple farming tasks.

However, last night’s sneak peek put some of those fears to bed.

Jax is entertaining, but he’s no cartoon character, and the new series clearly won’t be turning a blind eye to his short temper and other darker qualities.

The extreme conservatism of the Cartwright family was put on display this past season, when Brittany’s mother made homophobic comments after watching Jax get roasted by his friends.

(Despite what Cohen and the cast claim, the fact that the elder Cartwright has a bigger problem with Jax possibly having hooked up with a guy than with his long history of violence, cheating, drugs and arrests is deeply problematic.)

So the show could provide the dramatic fireworks that fans have come to expect from Vanderpump.

Or it could amount to overkill at a time when the main series can least afford to further alienate fans.

Either way, the sight of Jax trying to figure out which end of a pitchfork to use should be entertaining.
