Jordan Cashmyer: 16 and Pregnant Star Is Still Alive, No Longer on Drugs

If you were a fan of 16 and Pregnant, the MTV reality series that launched the Teen Mom franchise, then you may remember the name Jordan Cashmyer.

Cashmyer starred in the show’s fifth season, and while she was never cast on any of the popular spinoff series that followed, recent months have seen a renewal of interest in her troubled life.

Reports that Cashmyer was addicted to drugs and working as a prostitute began to circulate back in July.

In response to news that she was working as an escort, Cashmyer’s family reported that they were not surprised, as Jordan’s substance abuse had driven her to take desperate measures.

“She has been living on the streets,” a relative who preferred to remain anonymous told Radar Online at the time.

“She calls her father to let him know she’s alive,” the source added.

“Her father put her in rehab, but she never completes the programs. Once the withdrawals kick in she leaves on her own.”

When the story first broke, Jordan remained silent, and many fans feared the worst.

Now, however, the 22-year-old has broken her silence to claim that all is well, and that she is no longer addicted to drugs or working as an escort.

“A lot of people are confused on what’s been going on in my life,” Jordan tweeted yesterday.

“Not that it is majority of anyone’s business, I just want to clear some things up for the sake of my family and those who were truly concerned.”

Jordan added that while she has experienced some hard times in recent years, some of the reports of her abject state were greatly exaggerated.

“I was NEVER missing, the people who posted that were people who ONLY did that for their own benefit,” she wrote.

“My father and mother (stepmom so no one is confused) were in contact with me and have been part of my recovery everyday.”

Jordan, who currently has no contact with her daughter, Evie, says she’s currently focused on re-entering the child’s life.

“I am currently working on myself and my recovery, and am actually very happy with my life right now,” Jordan continued.

“There is one thing missing and that will come over time….my baby girl and a good coparenting relationship with her father.”

It sounds like Jordan’s life is on the upswing, but the above photo, which shows her with the much older man she says is her boyfriend, has many fans concerned.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as more information becomes available.

Jordan Cashmyer: Sad Prostitution, Drug Use Details Revealed

Jordan Cashmyer has spiraling downward hard since appearing on 16 and Pregnant, but the true extent of that is just becoming known.

Amid reports surfacing that Jordan Cashmyer is an escort, and now allegations of drug use, it appears she has finally hit rock bottom.

It was revealed in recent days that the former MTV reality star had fallen on such hard times that she was now working as a prostitute.

Cashmyer, who appeared on Season 5 of 16 & Pregnant, works as an escort on the website Escort Babylon under the name Raquelle.

“A down to earth, open-minded, ambitious Taurus, who likes to spend time with generous men and have fun,” her online profile reads.

“If you want an upscale girl then stop searching now,” she urges potential clients, encouraging them to come “have some fun.”

The 22-year-old has multiple racy pictures on her profile, featuring her wearing only a bra and underwear, and in one shot is topless.

(The escort service ads, which we have chosen not to post here, are easily identifiable as Jordan based on her tattoos.”

Now, the troubled star’s family members have come forward to say that Cashmyer is likely also struggling with heroin addiction.

“I can guarantee she is not doing well,” one of Cashmyer’s family members told Radar. “She has been living on the streets.”

“She calls her father to let him know she’s alive.”

The family insider also claimed that Cashmyer, who is mother to daughter Genevieve, “has overdosed multiple times” over the years.

While she has been to rehab 3-4 times, it’s been a struggle to stay clean ever since she began working as a stripper years ago.

“Her father put her in rehab, but she never completes the programs. Once the withdrawals kick in she leaves on her own,” the source said.

The family source explained how Jordan’s three-year-old daughter was living with her father and stepmother until December 2015.

Her baby daddy, Derek Taylor, took the girl to live with his mother at that point, and that’s reportedly the last Jordan has seen of her.

Says the insider close to the sad situation:

“Last summer in June or July she signed paperwork with Derek’s mother for temporary custody. Her parents have been cut off from their granddaughter.”

“Jordan hasn’t brought up her name.”

“She is on a dark, destructive path,” another insider added. “She’s in our prayers that she pulls through in the state that she’s in.”

Cashmyer’s baby daddy revealed on social media in 2014 that she had been working in a strip club, which feels tame compared to this.

In July 2016, she said on her Facebook page that she stopped abusing alcohol and drugs and was now clean following a rehab stint.

While Cashmyer entered rehab and seemed upbeat following that stint, it appears she may have fallen off the wagon once again since.

Jordan was perhaps the best known cast member from the fifth and final season of 16 & Pregnant (now possibly being rebooted by MTV).

The hit reality show debuted in 2010 spawned the even more successful Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 spinoffs, and briefly Teen Mom 3.

We hope she gets help, and soon.

Jordan Cashmyer: 16 & Pregnant Star Now Working as Escort

Jordan Cashmyer’s life has taken a sad turn since 16 and Pregnant, and it’s not like anyone on that reality show has it easy to start.

According to a shocking new report, things have gone from bad to worse for the reality star … to a point rarely seen among her peers.

As devoted fans know, Cashmyer gave birth to her daughter Genevieve during her Season 5 episode of the Teen Mom precursor in 2014.

In the past three years, she’s fallen on very hard times.

How hard? She is now allegedly working as an escort in Baltimore, according to a group of fans who discovered this and made the connection.

Fans have spotted Cashmyer’s escort ads on numerous escorting and massage “therapy” websites (we are not including them in this article).

Jordan gives her name as “Raquel” in most of the ads for her services, but is clearly the individual shown in the accompanying photos.

The giant “Cashmyer” arm tattoo is unmistakable.

Even sadder still is the fact that in some of her escort photos, the one-time reality star is showcasing visible bruises and looking very thin.

How long has this been going on?

On her escort “resume,” which is evidently something people in the profession have, Jordan says that she’s been escorting since June.

A search for Cashmyer’s phone number produces results on six different escorting-type websites, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports.

Jordan had previously been working as an exotic dancer at several Baltimore-area gentlemen’s clubs, also under the name “Raquel.”

That part is not a secret to fans. Her ex, and the father of her daughter, Derek Taylor, outed her as a stripper a few years ago.

Call it revenge porn or any other name, but he exposed pics of Jordan stripping and lamented that she doesn’t take care of their daughter.

Little Genevieve, 3, has been cared for by Derek, with help from Jordan’s parents, for much if not all of her young life up to this point.

Cashmyer’s role has largely been lacking.

Jordan is likely best remembered by fans being “homeless” on her 16 and Pregnant episode and for reportedly attempting suicide in 2014.

In March 2016, Jordan went to rehab after admitting that “heavy drug use” had greatly affected her life over the previous several years.

In July 2016, Cashmyer stated on Facebook that she was off drugs and alcohol after leaving rehab, and that things were looking up.

Optimistically, she claimed to have severe depression, anxiety and mood swings under control after she had received in-patient care.

Cashmyer wrote to her fans last summer:

“For the first time in a really long time, I am thinking clearly, not using drugs or alcohol and have my depression, anxiety & mood swings pretty under control.”

“This is the first time in a really long time.”

“I [finally feel] like myself since my senior year, pregnancy and the few months after that before going to work at a [strip] club.”

Jordan’s Twitter is active, though she rarely posts her own comments … one from January 2017 (above) appears to say it all.

We wish her the best.

Jordan Cashmyer: Troubled 16 and Pregnant Star Checks Into Rehab

While it’s all well and good that 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom have reduced the rate of teen pregnancy, they can also exacerbate pre-existing issues.

One star from the former franchise has been on a downward spiral battling her own demons ever since.

Jordan Cashmyer appeared on season five of the groundbreaking documentary.  She and her then-boyfriend, Derek Taylor got pregnant, and Cashmyer gave birth to a daughter, Genevieve.

Now, TMZ reports, Cashmyer has entered a rehab facility in Baltimore after coming home to her mother’s house so drunk, she fell on the floor and gave herself a concussion.

Cashmyer reportedly realized she had to “get her life together.”

The former reality was a stripper for some time in Baltimore.  After wanting to improve her life, she was hired to work at a gym.

It’s believed she was fired from the gym for being drunk on the job.

Back in February, Cashmyer updated fans on her struggles.

“I suffered from very bad post-partum depression. While trying to get this issue under control, I started working at a [strip] club, a place that would completely alter my life in ways I never thought,”Cashmyer wrote in a blog post.

“For the past two years I have struggled with addiction…I practically used my body as a trashcan and would put whatever was given to me in my body.”

At the time, Cashmyer insisted she was sober.

“I have been clean for a little over five weeks and see a substance abuse counselor every other week to prevent relapse,” she wrote. “I have also not set foot in a club since two days after my first first full day of being clean.”

Taylor spoke out about Cashmyer, claiming that she never sees their daughter, Genevieve, who lives with him and his family.

“…realistically it makes no difference because Jordan isn’t a mother and she never will be!” Taylor tweeted.

“Not to mention Genevieve doesn’t even know who Jordan is.”
