Dennis Hof No Drugs Found at Death Scene ... Was Healthy Weeks Before

Dennis Hof was the picture of health before his untimely death, and there are no obvious signs he was under the influence when he died … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us no drugs or alcohol were found near Hof’s body Tuesday when paramedics arrived at his Love Ranch home in Crystal, Nevada. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Sources close to the late owner of the famous Bunny Ranch brothels say Hof did not drink or take drugs of any kind — and insist even his signature cigar was fake.
Also interesting … we’re told 72-year-old Hof was given a clean bill of health just 2 weeks ago after undergoing cataract surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Our sources say Hof appeared to be in tip-top shape last weekend during his birthday celebrations.
We’re told friends became concerned Tuesday when they weren’t able to get a hold of him, as sources say he was always up by 4:30 AM and easily reachable by cell unless he had company.
Since he wasn’t answering Tuesday, his pals assumed that was the case … until Ron Jeremy discovered his body at his home around 11 AM.
Hof was in the middle of a campaign for State Assembly in Nevada before he passed.

Britney Spears Gives Father Cash Bonus For Keeping Her Off Drugs
These days, Britney Spears has attained full-blown icon status and been granted admission into the pantheon of pop gods alongside Madonna and Michael Jackson.
But it wasn’t all that long ago that it looked as though Spears was headed for the kind of tragic flameout that’s all too common among stars who hit the big time while still in their teens.
Britney’s 2007 meltdown is the stuff of legend, and enough time has gone by that it’s easy to laugh at the shaved head and the umbrella-wielding attack on the paparazzi.
But the fact remains that all that erratic behavior was fueled by very real pain and mental illness — and serious indulgence in a wide array of substances.
These days, Spears is a sober and responsible mother and a consummate entertainer, still capable of wowing diehard fans on a nightly basis with her acclaimed Las Vegas residency.
It’s wonderful that she’s been able to move on from her harrowing past, but those who helped her through that difficult time are eager to ensure that she never forgets it.
And it seems there are two reasons that they want her to remain forever mindful — so that she doesn’t go down that road again, and so that she remains grateful to the ones who helped bring her back from the brink.
According to a new report published today by Radar Online, several members of Team Britney appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom today where a judge determined they were owed large sums of money by Spears’ estate in exchange for their services to the singer.
As you may recall, Britney was placed under a conservatorship in order to protect her from herself following her breakdown.
Since it seems to be working out for her, the arrangement has remained in place for over a decade.
And today, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, and a “co-conservator” named Andrew Wallet were compensated to the tune of $ 426,000 for their roles in keeping Brit on the straight and narrow.
According to documents obtained by Radar, Jamie and Andrew argued that they provided “stability and leadership” to Britney and helped keep “literally hundreds of people in check.”
Now, bringing stability and keeping people in check are pretty vague boasts, but Jamie and Andrew’s lawyers went on to provide some specifics:
“By way of example, and not by way of limitation, at the planning stages of the Circus Tour, the Declarant instructed entertainment counsel to spread the risk of the Conservatee failing to fulfill her duties on tour because of some third party providing illegal substances,” they claimed.
“The financial stakes were high, and failure was not an option.”
That’s legalese for “Jamie and Andrew kept Britney off drugs so that she could continue making a whole lot of money.”
Andrew argues that he righted the ship of Britney’s career multiple times, including at the start of her Vegas residency, when she was apparently quite vulnerable:
“At the beginning of the conservatorship, the estate was nearly out of fund and cash equivalents,” Wallet said in the affidavit.
“The estate and person of the conservative were in total chaos with tremendous liabilities. The problems were of epic proportions over a period of years.
“Extraordinary skills have been employed by all in order to achieve the results enjoyed at the present time. Petitioner has had many months at a time where all of his professional time was spent in services rendered exclusively to the conservative.”
Again, it’s a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo, but there’s much to be learned here.
For example, like every recovering addict, Britney is never out of the woods and relies heavily on the support of those around her.
Also, being one of the supportive people around her is apparently quite a lucrative endeavor.

Lil Xan: I Don"t Want to End Up Like Mac Miller But I Can"t Quit Drugs!
It’s a frightening time for young celebrities, as an epidemic of addiction and substance abuse is claiming lives in Hollywood at an astonishing rate.
Over the course of the past year, a number of promising lives have been lost or forever changed by opioids and other prescription pills, and it seems that there’s no solution to the problem in sight.
In July, Demi Lovato’s near-fatal overdose left fans praying for the singer’s recovery.
(Lovato recently celebrated 90 days of sobriety.)
The death of Mac Miller in September stunned the hip-hop world and left many of his fellow artists thinking twice about lyrics and lifestyles that glorify substance abuse.
One such artist is Lil Xan.
Xan is so steeped in modern hip-hop drug culture that his stage name is a reference to his former substance of choice.
The 23-year-old recently opened up to TMZ in a surprisingly candid new interview in which he discusses his conflicted feelings toward drugs and the music that glorifies them.
The rapper says he’s kicked his addiction to Xanax, but is still “weaning” himself away from other pills.
In the interview, Xan reveals that he sold drugs before making it big in music.
But he also insists he was a drug dealer with a conscience and quit dealing when the often-fatal Fentanyl hit the scene.
“My friends were taking it; they were puking. I was like I can’t … I’m out the game,” Xan says of his decision to retire from dealing and focus on music.
Xan says that like Demi, he’s capable of long periods of sobriety, but notes that he is currently off the wagon.
“I relapsed, and that’s common … Any other addict would understand that sh-t just happens,” he tells TMZ.
“You just relapse. You don’t want to. It’s a process. You need treatment and help, and sometimes that doesn’t even help.”
“It has to come from within. That’s what I’ve learned,” Xan says.
“I’ve gone periods of like six months clean of everything. And that was because of me. I wanted to be clean.”
When the interviewer states that Xan is “clean now,” he corrects her:
“I’m not completely clean. Off Xanax, yes, but I’m still weaning off Norcos [a brand of codeine-based painkiller],” he says.
Xan says he is currently not in rehab, but is living in seclusion “in the forest.”
He adds that he plans to remain in hiding until the release of his upcoming album, which he has described as a tribute to his “hero,” Mac Miller.

Mac Miller: Home Cleaned, Purged of All Drugs After Reported Overdose, Police Believe
On Friday, the world lost a great talent. Mac Miller passed away at 26 of an apparent drug overdose.
Police seem confident that Miller died of an overdose, but when they searched his home for drugs, they found almost nothing.
They believe that someone or several someone’s cleaned Miller’s home, removing all evidence of drug use, before they had a chance to investigate.
According to TMZ‘s law enforcement sources, Mac Miller’s home was swept for drugs, which were all removed in the immediate aftermath of Miller’s passing.
Police believe this for three reasons.
One, police were unable to find any drugs in the home of a man who is believed to have died from an overdose — a man who is known for substance abuse problems.
Two, police have apparently spoken to a number of people who were in Miller’s orbit, which apparently made them more certain that his home was “tidied.”
Three, they very reasonably have a hard time imagining that Miller removed all drugs from his home before his alleged overdose.
Not only did the police search fail to find drugs (for the most part), they also didn’t turn up any pill bottles or drug paraphernalia.
(Plenty of homes of people with no substance abuse problems have old pill bottles lying around at the back of a cabinet somewhere, so that’s definitely odd)
Apparently police did find a “tiny” amount of white powder.
It’s unknown who may have cleaned Miller’s home for him, though people were at his house on Thursday night as well as on Friday when someone called 9-1-1.
Police report that no one has said that they saw Miller alive after Thursday night.
It is entirely possible that someone thought that they were doing Miller or his loved ones a favor by scrubbing his house clean of evidence of his drug use.
For all that we know, he may have asked a friend to do just this if he ever overdosed.
Worst case scenario, however, he appears to have overdosed because of some flaw with the drugs in his possession, and someone took everything so that his death could not be traced to them.
We hope not, but that is precisely the reason that law enforcement needs to be able to look at all of the evidence when someone dies.
You might think that you’re doing someone a favor, but you may just leave their grieving loved ones with more questions and less closure.
Miller was found unresponsive in his Studio City home at around noon on Friday, September 7.
A friend called 9-1-1, asking for immediate assistance for a patient in cardiac arrest.
Tragically, Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical responders. He had been scheduled for a video shoot later that very day.
Miller’s history of substance abuse was no secret. Earlier this year, Mac Miller’s DUI hit-and-run resulted in his arrest.
Years ago, Miller opened up about his substance abuse issues through music, admitting to an addiction to a combination of promethazine and codeine known as “purple drank.”
Mac Miller’s death is absolutely tragic. Unfortunately, the narrative that immediately followed his passing has also been heartbreaking.
Awful trolls blamed Ariana Grande for his death.
Suggesting that she should never have broken up with him, or at least not found happiness when she moved on, people actually sought to fault his ex.
In reality, Miller’s substance abuse problem was a huge factor in Ariana’s decision to break up with him in the first place.
The right narrative is that it’s tragic for such a talented young man to die at 26.
Addiction is almost certainly to blame.
We hope that investigators, even working without all of the evidence that they might like, will be able to provide closure to Miller’s family, friends, and fans.

Demi Lovato Overdose: Did the Singer Take Dirty Drugs?
With Demi Lovato having checked in to rehab, hopefully focused on turning her life around, we have a couple updates on the troubled singer.
First, a new report claims to have information on what caused Lovato to overdose back on Tuesday, July 24.
According to TMZ insiders, Lovato did indeed spent most of the previous evening out and about with friends.
As detailed shortly after this frightening incident took place, Demi hit up a club in Hollywood to celebrate a pal’s birthday and then continued the celebration with a smaller group of acquaintances at her home.
(These were allegedly the toxic influences that Lovato has since vowed to eliminate from her life.)
Following her night out at Saddle Ranch on the Sunset Strip, and after she returned to her residence with these friends, the aforementioned TMZ article states that Lovato sent a text message to a drug dealer at 4 a.m.
The drug dealer received the text and responded, arriving at Demi’s home with two freebased Oxycodone on tin foil.
But that’s not all.
This new and scary report goes deep.
These sources say, unbeknownst to the singer, the drug dealer in question had a dangerous habit of buying dirty drugs from Mexico — and the batch he handed over appeared to be laced with fentanyl.
This is the same drug that killed Prince and Lil Peep.
Ummm… yikes, right?
Original reports after Demi’s overdose alleged that the star overdosed on heroin, but most of these were later corrected via follow-up posts and quotes.
TMZ even writes that the drug dealer remained at Lovato’s home until he noticed she was breathing heavily in bed, at which point he fled the scene.
Eventually, Demi’s assistant found the singer unconscious and called 911.
It’s more or less been confirmed at this point that paramedics administed Narcan to Demi, a drug used to combat the dangerous of an overdose.
This may have been what saved Lovato’s life, as she regained consciousness and was then rushed to the hospital.
Lovato spent about two weeks under doctors’ supervision and then jetted off to an out-of-state treatment facility last week.
She has understandably canceled all tour dates for the remainder of 2018 and there’s a very good chance we don’t hear from her, or even about her from anyone named on record, for a long time.
“She will be in rehab for several months and is doing an extensive program to ensure she gets the help she needs,” a source tells E! News.
The 25-year-old, though, is currently in Chicago, where she’s undergoing treatment with a therapist who focuses on sobriety, mental health and wellness.
Demi has made it clear over the years, in numerous interviews, that she faces all of these problems and more.
She has struggled with substance abuse, an eating disorder and general self-esteem issues.
Lovato has not been in much contact with anyone close to her, although ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has checked in whenever possible.
“Wilmer has been in touch with the family and has been checking in on Demi’s status,” writes E! News, adding that the actor hasn’t really spoken to Lovato directly:
“The family is trying to make sure they eliminate all distractions and want her to be focusing on her health right now.”

Nathan Griffith: Jenelle Evans Did Drugs While She Was Pregnant!
Folks, it"s going down!
The custody battle between Nathan Griffith and Jenelle Evans is getting uglier by the day, and by the time it"s all over, you may have an even lower opinion of Teen Mom 2"s most nefarious villain — if that"s even possible.
Earlier this week, we reported that Griffith has filed for full custody of his son, Kaiser.
Not only that, in court documents, Nathan has demanded that Jenelle"s husband, David Eason, be prohibited from having any contact with Kaiser.
It"s a shocking move, and Griffith will need to make a strong case in court in order to pull it off.
And it looks like he"s already laying the groundwork with a startling new accusation …
1. Jenelle Plays Mom
If you’ve ever seen a single episode of Teen Mom 2, we don’t need to tell you that Jenelle Evans is not exactly mom of the year material.
2. Saving the Day?
Now, her second baby daddy, Nathan Griffith, is fighting for custody of Jenelle’s middle child, Kaiser. And he’s pulling out all the stops to convince the judge that Evans is an unfit parent.

Jenelle Evans Reaches Out to Demi Lovato: I Almost Died From Drugs!
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Demi Lovato suffered an overdose that resulted in the singer being hospitalized on Tuesday.
The singer is now in stable condition and recovering in the presence of her family.
Many in Hollywood have reached out to Demi via social media to offer words of encouragement and support.
Jenelle Evans is one such star, but her message to Demi was more poignant than most.
If you’re a Teen Mom 2 fan, then you’re probably aware that Jenelle has also struggled with addiction throughout much of her life.
In the wake of yesterday’s frightening news, Jenelle took to Twitter to offer a very personal message of hope:
“If you need help or support in time of immediate need, please seek it,” Evans tweeted.
“Hearing this news about @ddlovato breaks my heart. I hope she’s okay. You’re strong girl, don’t let the devil drag you down.”
For all of her many faults — and those faults are profound and plentiful, to be sure — Jenelle deserves credit for being so open about her past struggles with addiction in recent years.
She revealed the depth of her struggles in a recent memoir:
“I won’t glamorize the drug by going into the long details of why people love it so damned much,” Jenelle wrote.
“Before I knew it, I was shooting up four or five times a day. I was hooked.” She continued, “The first thing I lost to the drug was my family.”
Jenelle and Demi are about the same age; they both found fame while still in their teens; and they’ve both struggled with addiction and emotional issues during their years in the spotlight.
So while they may seem like unlikely bedfellows, Jenelle can probably relate to Demi’s plight more than just about everyone.
Demi’s story is a familiar one, but sadly, many of the celebrities who have traveled down her current path didn’t live long enough to turn things around.
So while it’s hard to imagine Jenelle being a source of inspiration to anyone, she may be just the sort of role model Demi needs.
Fortunately, reps for Lovato say she’s currently and ready to begin the long and painful process of recovery:
“She is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support,” says one insider.
We wish Demi and her family all the best during this incredibly difficult time.
