Grey"s Anatomy Recap: Is Catherine Dying?!

Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy featured the return of Catherine Fox who was out of town dealing with her foundation and a health crisis.

It also featured her husband, Richard at his darkest moment yet, and some relationship drama for that pesky ‘ship that is Jaggie.

At the top of the hour, Meredith and Koracick were whisked off to L.A. with the aim of helping Catherine who summoned them to help out with a patient.

Once at the building Mer and Kor (It has a certain ring to it, right?!) were ordered to room with technology that you would expect in a futuristic movie.

They noticed a tumor in the vascular and nerve domains, and when the two surgeons wanted to know who the patient was, Catherine confirmed it was her.

It was a stunning twist. But Catherine didn’t want to be taken away from the ribbon cutting of the building, so she was adamant about business as usual.

The three went out for drinks, and while Catherine wanted to know whether her prognosis was grim, the doctors had no answers until results returned.

She went on to say that she couldn’t tell anything to Richard.

“I don’t know if he can handle this,” she said, which explained why she text Richard at the top of the hour to say she was spending more time in Los Angeles.

Later, as the ribbon cutting kicked off, Koracick admitted to Meredith that Catherine was suffering from cancer, and he was scared that he could not save her.

“I have no idea how remove it without paralyzing her or killing her,” he said with a sad look on his face. Grey’s really wasn’t lying with its “15 seasons of feels” promotional efforts.

As for Richard, he was going through some struggles of his own. Hell, he’s been spiraling since his sponsor died last season.

At the hospital, Nurse Frankie had some major complications with her pregnancy. After stabilizing her, she died in the O.R., and it left Richard in a horrifying situation.

He went to the bar and talked about his sobriety. The barman poured him multiple shots of vodka, and let him have at it.

But this was not the type of support Richard was looking for, so he trashed the bar and found himself in jail. How far will he spiral after his wife’s cancer diagnosis?

As for Jaggie, things took an awkward turn when Maggie noticed a woman was texting him and learned that her knight in shining armor was romancing other women.

Well, he got close with another woman while having his crisis of faith. This rubbed Maggie the wrong way, and she took it as him sleeping with other women.

Maggie claimed she thought she would be the reason their relationship fizzled out, and Jackson countered that she was the first one to run in any given situation.

Jackson went on to say that he was made he and April had the crisis of faith at different times, and that was enough for Maggie to call the time of death on the relationship.

Catherine Zeta-Jones: I"m Rich and Beautiful and I"M NOT SORRY!

What’s the first thing you think about when you think about Catherine Zeta-Jones?

Honestly, and there’s no shade intended with this, it’s 2018 so you probably don’t really think about Catherine Zeta-Jones much these days.

But if you do, you might think about how super, super gorgeous she’s always been, and how talented — remember Chicago?

Or you might think about her marriage to Michael Douglas, maybe about that one time he sort of suggested that he got cancer from oral sex.

But from this day forward, Catherine here might bring to mind some different kinds of thoughts.

Because she just did a new interview, and it is straight up bananas.

Her quotes here are so wild that Twitter is going crazy, which is wild in itself, because again, this is Catherine Zeta-Jones in 2018 we’re talking about here.

See, she’s never really been known for being too humble, but still, she went off on the subject in this interview.

“One thing,” she began, “I’m not humble any more. I’m sick of being humble. I really am.”

“‘So sorry I’m rich, so sorry I’m married to a movie star, so sorry I’m not so bad looking.’ No sorrys. Enough.”

Dang, Catherine, tell us how you really feel.

“All that is important to me now is my work,” she continued. “That’s what I love and the rest of my life is a joy because I’ve got two beautiful kids and a healthy, happy husband.”

“It’s all good, and I’m not going to be humble for that either.”

She explained that “I come from a working-class family in Wales and I worked to get where I am. And for many years all of us are victims of the fact that we’ve all got so humble.”

For example, she said “If you were a sports star and won an award you would go, ‘Sh-t yeah, that was the best work I’ve ever done, I rocked!"”

“Whereas actors are like, ‘Oh I’m so sorry and thanks, can I say thanks?"”

So that’s … well, that’s a lot to take in, right?

On one hand, good for her. She really did work to get where she is, and she’s allowed to be proud of that.

But on the other hand … come on now.

Being humble is not the same as being apologetic — nobody thinks she needs to apologize for being successful and pretty.

It would be weird if she was actually like she’s suggesting here, going around apologizing for the good things in her life, but again, that’s not the same thing as being humble.

And according to Twitter, she could really, really do with learning that lesson.

“Let’s all take a moment and hope for the best for Catherine Zeta-Jones,” one person wrote. “She’s struggling, but determined to not let her staggering wealth, beauty and success drag her into the abyss.”

A true inspiration, right?

On a more direct note, another person asked “Who gives a sh-t about Catherine Zeta Jones? She hasn’t been relevant for years?”

One Twitter user wrote “A few questions and statements: 1) when have actors had to ASK to say thank u? 2) your last BIG movie was Chicago in 2002. Girl, bye. 3) as Kendrick Lamar said, ‘sit down, be humble’ 4) slow your roll, God gives and takes away.”

Then, one particularly savage person simply asked “Who is Catherine Zeta-Jones?

While many people were ready to tear her apart for these remarks, a few applauded her — one of those people tweeted “When I grow up I want to be Catherine Zeta-Jones.”

Someone else pointed out that if a man had made those same remarks “no one would bad an eyelid,” but “because she has a pair of tits & is honest you all have an issue.”

That could be true, but really, even if she was a man, her statements would still be ridiculous.

Literally no one thinks she has to apologize for anything, and it’s strange that she thinks anyone might.

Maybe she could start out by looking of the definition of “humble” and going from there … because it seems like she could really benefit from that.

Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici Welcome First Child!

The Bachelor Nation baby boom continues as Sean Lowe and his wife, Catherine Giudici, welcomed their first child over the weekend!

“God is good! We had a healthy baby boy named Samuel Thomas,” the proud new dad wrote, confirming the new arrival on Saturday.

“Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.”

Giudici, Lowe’s final rose winner, added in a subsequent tweet: “I’m in love with another boy, my son Samuel Thomas Lowe.”

On Friday, Giudici teased the imminent birth of their little one. “It is time,” she wrote, crediting Rafiki from The Lion King for the quite.

The new parents met on The Bachelor in 2012 and married in a TV wedding in 2014. They announced they were expecting in December.

“The good news: baby is perfectly healthy – praise God!” Lowe wrote a few months later after sharing an Instagram sonogram photo.

“The bad news for both baby and mom: baby apparently has a big head like daddy. But how freakin’ cute is my wife?”

Very cute. Always has been.

The lovebirds, who live in Dallas, later enjoyed a “babymoon” in Palm Springs, Calif., a place near and dear to their hearts – and past.

Sean and Catherine spent some time there in secret after The Bachelor finished filming but before the finale aired, as is the custom.

“To this day, we still talk about how much fun we had just hanging out at that house, swimming, grilling and watching movies,” Lowe wrote.

“So we’re going to try and recapture those memories,” he added, “and make some new ones too.”

As for whether Sean is ready to be a dad?

“He is the most loving and wonderful daddy to our doggies, and I know it will be exponentially better when it’s our own child,” Giudici said.

Added Lowe: “I’m most looking forward to the challenge of being as good of a father as my dad was, and still is, to me.”

“Over the years, my dad has proven time and time again that he will support me and be there for me no matter what.”

“That’s what I want to give my child as well. I want them to know that their dad will always be their biggest supporter.”

Congrats to the happy couple – and the rest of the alumni of Bachelor Nation also taking the plunge into parenthood this year:

Catherine Giudici: Pregnant with Sean Lowe"s First Child!

Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe shared life-altering news with fans on Tuesday afternoo:

They are expecting their first child together!

The famous twosome, who fell in love on The Bachelor, posted messages on their Instagram accounts, with the father-to-be writing:

“It’s happening! I’m going to be a dad!”

Giudici, meanwhile, published the romantic photo above and wrote as a caption to the image “Hey baby.”

Lowe and Giudici got married (on ABC!) in January of 2014 after falling in love during Season 17 of The Bachelor.

But life as a Husband and Wife has been somewhat of a struggle for the celebrities, who are actually appearing as we type on the new season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

They previously played an April Fool’s gag in which they claimed Giudici was pregnant, eventually apologizing after receiving some backlash from those who found the joke to be in poor taste.

But now it’s the real thing.

We send the couple our best wishes for a happy, healthy baby and we bet they make an appearance this season on the show that made them famous.

Find out next month when you have a chance to watch The Bachelor online after it premieres on January 4.

Catherine Coulson Dies; Twin Peaks Actress Was 71

Catherine Coulson – the actress best known as the eccentric “Log Lady” on the beloved early ’90s television series Twin Peaks – has passed away at the age of 71.

Coulson, who had been set to reprise her most famous role in the upcoming Showtime version of Twin Peaks, had reportedly been battling cancer for several years.

A longtime friend of iconic director David Lynch, Coulson’s film career began when she was hired as an assistant on his first feature-length film, Eraserhead.

Lynch says he wrote the part of the Log Lady specifically for Coulson. The director issued a heartfelt statement just moments after news of  her death went public:

“Today I lost one of my dearest friends, Catherine Coulson. Catherine was solid gold. She was always there for her friends — she was filled with love for all people — for her family — for her work.  She was a tireless worker. She had a great sense of humor — she loved to laugh and make people laugh. She was a spiritual person — a longtime TM meditator. She was the Log Lady.”

Primarily a theatre actor, Coulson will be remembered by many for her tireless work with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Though to millions more, she’ll always be the Log Lady.
