Christina and Tarek El Moussa Reunite For First Time Since Split: Why?

Flip or Flop stars Christina and Tarek El Moussa know that whatever’s going on in their personal lives, the (HGTV) show must go on.

So must their ancillary business dealings, which are very much intertwined with one another despite an ugly divorce playing out in private.

The estranged Flip or Flop stars and parents of two young kids reunited on Friday at the 2017 Investor Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This marks the couple’s first official joint public appearance since announcing their split following a shocking report by TMZ last December.

“Me and #christina on the #big #stage having #fun and teaching folks how to #flip #houses!!” Tarek captioned a photo of the pair on stage.

He added, “#goodtimes #lovespeakingtogether.”

Not as much as Tarek loves hashtags. Wow.

Christina shared a similar photo from the event on her Instagram page, this time of the duo posing with some of their investor students.

For business’ sake, they put on a good front …

“Fun event at #successpath #investor #summit … great meeting our students,” Christina captioned the photo with her husband above.

Christina was recently spotted with Gary Anderson, her contractor boyfriend, but sources say she’s keeping work and family a priority.

The same goes for Tarek, according to people close to him.

“They remain committed to their children and co-parenting,” one source close to Christina. “Their children are their number one priority.”

“They’ll always communicate,” adds the family insider.

“They’re going to be cordial for the best of their family.”

Are they going to be, though? From what we hear …

Last spring, one decidedly messed up incident resulted in the quasi-celebrity spouses calling it quits in hostile – but very quiet – fashion.

Before the news leaked and both sides started doing damage control with gusto, they were content to act like nothing was amiss at all.

They want to continue making their show, and their happy union was central to their rise to the top of the HGTV real estate porn heap.

The darkness bubbling just beneath the surface couldn’t stay hidden forever, though, and theories about what went wrong keep surfacing.

None of those stories paint a pretty picture, either.

Last week, a report published by In Touch Weekly claimed that rumors of Christina cheating on Tarek are true, and that’s not even all …

Specifically, the magazine alleges that Tarek caught her sending explicit text messages to Anderson, a contractor they previously employed.

In the explosive fight that ensued, after which Tarek stormed out of the couple’s house with a gun, he reportedly pulled it on Christina. 

Later, when questioned by the cops, he said he only left to blow off steam, and took the gun in case he encountered any wild animals.

Tarek surrendered his firearms (all were legally registered), but no charges were filed as he and Christina both called it a “misunderstanding.”

That’s common knowledge at this point, but the interesting part of the celebrity gossip site’s report pertaining to the alleged cheating:

Even after word of her infidelity got out, few who knew the couple blamed Christina for the dissolution of the couple’s marriage. Why?

Sources say Tarek made a habit of demeaning his wife in public with insane displays of anger and seemed to enjoy chastising her at work.

“When she said the wrong thing and they had to do a retake, he got pissed. He often made her cry,” an insider said of the on-set tension.

Sadly, it seems such treatment was no uncommon, and HGTV crew members working with them simply learned to look the other way.

“Tarek found humor in humiliating his wife in repeated verbal attacks,” one source said, adding that Tarek threatened to rape Christina.

“Some of his bad behavior was even caught on camera [in footage that never aired]. Tarek called Christina a ‘whore’ on set many times.”

This marriage clearly can’t end fast enough, and sadly for the El Moussas, keeping up the facades may become increasingly hard.

Christina El Moussa: Crying For Help on Instagram?

Christina El Moussa has been going through a tough time.

As you may already know, the Flip or Flop star is in the midst of a divorce from Tarek El Moussa, he co-host and soon-to-be ex-husband.

To say the marriage didn’t end well would be putting it very mildly.

Sources close to the couple say Tarek caught Christina cheating and a brutal blowout fight ensued.

(It’s unclear how far Christina’s infidelity went, but she was reportedly caught exchanging explicit text messages with Gary Anderson, a contractor and friend of the El Moussas.)

In the altercation that ensued Tarek brandished a gun and threatened to commit suicide.

Now, despite going through some very rocky times Tarek and Christina are jointly playing damage control in hopes of saving their show from cancelation.

Like we said, not an easy time – which may be why fans are concerned by the dour selfie that Christina shared yesterday.

Christina captioned the pic simply, “Thursday vibes” and her use of the butterfly filter leads us to believe she’s not trying to send a message that she’s caught in the throes of a crippling depression, but an outpouring of concern quickly flooded her comments section nonetheless:

“You look a little down in this pic…. ???” wrote one fan.

“Hope your day gets a little brighter!!!” commented another.

“Just stay focused on those beautiful babies and you’ll be smiling in no time!” a third offered.

Some fans kept their observations simple and to the point.

(“U look sad.”)

While others went full marriage counselor:

“It’s not late to FIX your marriage! It wasn’t a flop, it just needs some rehab! Trust me, you two have 2 beautiful reasons to keep trying!!” wrote one fan.

Yes, some fans remain eternally optimistic about Christina’s marriage, with one writing:

“Sad eyes, @christinaelmoussa. I wish for you and family the very best. It will all work out.”

We can’t help but wonder if these people know the whole story.

It’s always sad when a marriage ends, but this is one of those cases where it was definitely for the best.

Once things get bad enough that weapons are involved it’s time for two spouses to separate permanently, especially if they have kids.

Tarek & Christina El Moussa: What Really Caused Their Divorce?

Back in December, several media outlets reported that Flip or Flop hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa were separating after a bizarre confrontation that included a gun and an alleged suicide attempt.

Usually, in high-profile celebrity splits at least one side is eager to set the record straight.

However, Christina and Tarek have been tight-lipped for one simple reason:

They want to continue making their show, and no one wants to watch lighthearted HGTV real estate porn knowing there’s real darkness bubbling just beneath the surface.

As a result, we have that rare situation in which something decidedly messed up happened, the celebrity spouses are calling it quits in hostile fashion, and yet both sides are doing damage control with equal defensiveness.

“Neither of us was involved in a romantic relationship with any third party prior to our separation, or believes the other was,” a statement issued by the El Moussas last week reads.

Unfortunately, they’re not rich or famous to the point that they can pay off or threaten to rub out anyone who blabs to the press, so anonymous “insiders” are coming out of the woodwork.

Now, a report published by In Touch has rounded up all the latest allegations, making it clearer than ever that this was not a case of two married business partners reaching the mutual decision to amicably go their separate ways.

Gary Anderson: Spotted with Christina El Moussa!

With nasty rumors circulating around her and her estranged husband, Christina El Moussa made a very clear public statement this week.

She didn’t make it with any words, however.

She made it with one stark action.

Christina, of course, is in the middle of a divorce from Tarek El Moussa, her co-host on the popular HGTV series Flip or Flop.

The two announced their separation in December, following the reveal that they got into a major fight back in May that led to Tarek storming away with a gun in hand and police being called to the premises. 

(Everything was settled calmly and peacefully at the time.)

About a month after the reality TV stars confirmed they’d been separated for a long time, Tarek filed for divorce.

It was all pretty basic and also pretty amicable.

Tarek and Christina released the usual statements about how their children remained their priority and how they still loved and respected each other.

But numerous outlets reported a few weeks ago that Christina was dating Gary Anderson, the family contractor and someone Tarek knows very well.

From there, a bombshell tabloid story alleged that Tarek had often been verbally abusive of Christina, even joking on set many times that he would rape her.

We can’t verify the accuracy of that serious allegation, but it’s clear that all is not totally well between Tarek and Christina.

Therefore, it seems rather obvious that the latter was sending a message last week when she was spotted in public for the first time with Anderson.

According to In Touch Weekly, which published the first picture of Christina and Anderson arm-in-arm, the couple took a hour-long walk on January 26 through Gary’s neighborhood in Yorba Linda, California.

“They seemed so relaxed and comfortable together – totally in sync,” a witness told the magazine of the pair, who were seen at his house the evening before as well.

“Christina looked adoringly at him. She was beaming!” added the onlooker.

There was definitely a “spark” between El Moussa and Anderson, says this same source.

Despite new claims of major contention between Christina and Tarek, and despite Christina having moved on with a family acquaintance, the stars continue to film new Flip or Flop episodes together.

They are under contract to do so.

Will there be a new season after the current one completes shooting? Will Christina land the spinoff program insiders say she so strongly desires?

The answers to these questions remain unknown.

For now, however, Hollywood Life writes that Tarek feels “shocked and betrayed” by Christina and Gary’s relationship, which may even explain why they’ve decided to flaunt the romance in such a prominent manner.

The gloves appear to be off and things may get uglier before they settle down between the ex-lovers.

“[Christina] likes that Gary is so much more mature than Tarek. It’s a safe relationship, and she’s happy with him,” an HGTV insider tells In Touch, adding:

“Gary’s been there for her while she’s gone through hell with Tarek.”

We get it. That’s important.

Let’s just remember, though, that Tarek and Christina are the parents to a six-year old girl and a one-year old boy.

They will be well-served to remember that those two infants come before anything or anyone else.

Flip or Flop: Tarek and Christina El Moussa Beg to Keep Filming Despite Feud!

If you enjoy high drama surrounding reality stars on HGTV, then you’ve surely been taking in every last little detail of the increasingly ugly divorce of Tarek and Christina El Moussa.

But then again, if you enjoy high drama surrounding reality stars on HGTV, then you’re probably completely overwhelmed with how awful things are between the Flip or Flop stars.

Because things are awful. Sincerely, incredibly, remarkably awful.

As we learned last month, Tarek and Christina separated after a terrifying incident involving guns and a whole mess of cops that went down in May.

After getting into some kind of argument in their California home, Tarek grabbed a gun and went outside, heading for a hiking trail. Christina followed him, looking extremely upset.

A few people witnessed all that and called the police, concerned that Tarek was suicidal. Police arrived soon after — 11 officers and one helicopter, to be exact.

But, according to Tarek, he’d just left the house to get some air after the fight. He took the gun in case he came across any dangerous critters along the way.

Several months went by after the incident, and it was only in December that we learned they’d separated.

After the news leaked, Tarek and Christina released a statement insisting, among other things, that they “plan to continue our professional life together.”

But that statement came several weeks ago now. And in the time since, things have obviously changed.

They’re currently filming for Flip or Flop, and reports have stated that the El Moussas aren’t getting along all that great. Shocking, right?

One source claimed that “Tarek yells at her in front of production,” and that “he is constantly putting her down.”

“He says he blames her for leaking information about their split and he thinks that she sabotaged their marriage.”

Another report, as horrific as it sounds, claims that Tarek has been joking about raping Christina on set.

So considering all that, you’d think that both of them would be eager to cut ties completely, right? Professional life and all.

But if you did think that, then you’d be wrong.

According to a new report from People, Tarek and Christina are urging HGTV to let them continue filming, even after this current season.

A source says that they “are very much committed and want to continue to work together and continue the show.”

Ultimately though, the decision to keep filming isn’t up to them — HGTV executive are keeping an eye on the ratings before ordering more seasons.

It shouldn’t be a problem though, considering ratings are way up for Flip or Flop.

So it looks like there’s a good chance we could be seeing a whole lot more of this couple.

Tarek El Moussa Threatened to Rape Christina on Set: Report

Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s split has been anything but amicable, despite the couple’s carefully crafted public statements, insiders say.

You can imagine that under the best of circumstances, divorcing publicly would be difficult. Under poorer circumstances, it’s a living hell.

Case in point? This alleged altercation on the Flip or Flop set …

Christina El Moussa has been hiding her pain for years while dealing with estranged husband Tarek El Moussa, according to Life & Style.

His ugly behavior and wild mood swings, which led to the incident after which Tarek and Christina split, may be a lot worse than we know:

The HGTV star allegedly threatened to rape Christina.

He intended it as a joke, says the witness quoted in the cover story (above), but it left those who heard it appalled for obvious reasons.

He told the mother of his two kids, “‘Shut up, woman, or I’ll rape you.’ He actually joked about raping Christina on more than one occasion.”

“Tarek thinks it’s funny,” the eyewitness lamented.

No one else was laughing about this, however.

The crew did its best to shield her from him, Life & Style claims, citing a discussion last spring that centered around filming … efficiently. 

“[Staff members were] asked to be efficient with takes so that there was no downtime for Tarek and Christina on set,” a source recalls.

“When there’s downtime, bad things happen.”

Christina reportedly began to seek shelter from him in her car during filming breaks, but he was literally hard to ignore on or off set.

“One time, he went up to the car and pounded on the window,” the source shares of the couple, who have a son and daughter together.

“Christina locked the doors.”

How did it ever get to this point for the beloved HGTV tandem, whose beloved home renovation show became a network fan favorite?

Tarek’s low points were “a huge factor in their marriage falling apart … Christina hit a breaking point and couldn’t stand to be around him.”

“She fell out of love.”

In Touch reported last week that Tarek called her a “whore” on set, even going so far as to grab her chest and butt in front of the crew.

Regardless of whether that’s true, even reports from the set that are far less salacious don’t paint a pretty picture. Says another source:

“Tarek and Christina are still filming and flipping homes together despite their divorce, however they are simply not comfortable together.”

“The tension on set is high and the entire crew is walking on eggshells every time Tarek and Christina are on location together.”

“There is some bad blood and at this point there seems to be no chance of reconciliation,” our insider adds, in a truly massive understatement.

“Tarek and Christina are not in a good place and do everything they can to avoid each other. They spend as little time together as possible.”

They split in May, after a fight (witnessed by Christina’s current BF Gary Anderson) in which Tarek stormed out of the house with a gun.

No charges were filed and the couple managed to keep the police incident, and their separation, under wraps for half a year afterward.

Once TMZ broke the story, they chalked it up to a misunderstanding and sought to nix talk of the El Moussas flipping out … on each other.

But as Tarek files divorce papers and seeks spousal support, and filming rolls on with new episodes are in the pipeline, tension is high.

“Ultimately, the production timeline is dependent on construction schedules and final sales of the featured homes,” a network source says.

“We are currently in production for season seven of Flip or Flop, with the new episodes slated to air on HGTV this summer.”

“We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina’s work on Flip or Flop,” a rep for HGTV said late last year in the wake of the news.

“When it comes to matters related to their family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children.”

How much longer it stays in production will likely depend on whether or not Tarek and Christina can stand being around each other.

In other words, don’t hold your breath for Season 8.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa: Flipping Out on Each Other on Flip or Flop Set!?

Tarek and Christina El Moussa have put on a good front since their separation of approximately six months became public late last year.

Sources say they are far less cordial in private, however.

The Flip or Flop twosome resumed filming this week amidst a divorce that few fans of the hit HGTV show could’ve ever seen coming.

But are they really as amicable as they’ve repeatedly said over the past few weeks, or flipping out on each other behind the scenes?

A recent report from Radar would tell you the latter.

“Tensions are ridiculous on the set with Tarek and Christina,” an production insider said. “Tarek yells at her in front of production.”

“He is constantly putting her down,” the source adds.

“He says he blames her for leaking information about their split and he thinks that she sabotaged their marriage,” the insider claims.

It’s still unclear how that information went public.

Last spring, Tarek stormed out of the house with a gun after a blowout fight with Christina. No charges were filed over the “misunderstanding.”

TMZ broke the story, however, and thanks to a statement they put out afterward, we learned Tarek and Christina El Moussa separated. 

The insider says Christina may have leaked the story, knowing it would hurt his chances of getting his own series after Flip or Flop.

At least that’s what her estranged husband thinks.

According to this source, Tarek El Moussa “even seems to think that now she is trying to sabotage his chances of getting a spin-off.”

Whether that’s even remotely true is debatable, but we do know Christina had started a relationship with a new man, contractor Gary Anderson.

We also know that this report isn’t unique.

While both reality stars are still saying the right things in public – Tarek slammed fake news and gossip this week – questions linger.

A new report from In Touch Weekly suggests that Tarek and Christina now have separate publicists, following years of sharing representation.

As co-hosts of the aforementioned HGTV series, that’s somewhat significant, given how committed they are to their show and family.

The magazine claims that the signs of problems don’t end there, as Tarek would insult Christina with “vulgar language” in deleted scenes.

Tarek, the source claims, even threatened her, “[saying] he would perform a heinous violent act against Christina on more than one occasion.”

He allegedly made Christina run into the car and “cry” in between takes due to his inappropriate behavior and incessant anger issues.

That last rumor is consistent with the infamous fight last year, when Christina El Moussa was reported to be “shaking” as Tarek stormed out.

After the scandal broke, Tarek and Christina acknowledged it and said:

“[We] will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”

“We are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.”

The parents to Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 1, were reportedly forced by the network to put their differences aside and honor their contracts.

That means finishing the season they’re already committed to, but beyond that, it looks like this may be all she wrote for Flip or Flop.

For the record, Tarek denies all of this, and even felt the need to issue a comment about it, which he has typically refrained from doing.

He didn’t address the specific, scathing allegations made in recent days, but his statement speaks for itself when he calls it all “lies.”

He even takes a shot at “fake news,” as other famous people have.

“I will keep my focus on what matters most, which is co-parenting our children and working hard on our business,” he says.

And he’ll do so despite “the lies, innuendo, salacious gossip and ‘fake news’ that is thrown at me from irresponsible media outlets via anonymous sources.”

Whatever you believe, that’s a quality denial right there.

Not overly defensive, but not mincing words either.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa Divorce: It"s Turning Ugly!

Tarek and Christina El Moussa are saying all the right things about each other.

The hosts of Flip or Flop on HGTV, Tarek and Christina have come across like a model couple throughout the impressive run of this home renovation and real estate show.

So it came as quite a shock last month when they announced their separation.

It came as an even bigger shock when we learned that the reality stars had actually been living apart since May, ever since an argument led to a scary situation that involved Tarek, the police and a gun.

Still, the parents of an adorable six-year old and a precious one-year old have come across as supportive and professional in public.

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” Tarek and Christina said in a statement when the separation was first announced, acknowledged the fight and subsequent 911 call from the spring of 2016.

“We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution.

“There was no violence and no charges were filed…

“During [this separation] process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.”

Tarek shared a photo of himself and his daughter a few days later and even defended Christina against online critics.

“She’s a great person and mom,” Tarek responded to a hater of his estranged wife in mid-December. “We have had many many struggles that’s all.”

So, yes, this marriage may be over.

But everything is nice and amicable, right?

Maybe not.

According to various sources, Tarek and Christina were going to keep filming their reality series for the forseeable future…

… but a new In Touch Weekly report states this isn’t because they are getting along so well.

It’s because they are being threatened by HGTV if they do not.

“This is getting really ugly,” a source with the network tells the tabloid, expounding as follows:

“HGTV is livid with Tarek and Christina. Flip or Flop just won’t be the same if they’re not together, so [executives] desperately want them to reunite to save the show.”

That simply isn’t going to happen.

Tarek filed for divorce this week.

“If they can’t do that, the network wants them to make it seem like they’re getting along, at least until their contract is over,” the source continues.

“They were given an ultimatum: Either finish out your contracts or we’ll take you to court [for breach of contract]. The network basically said, ‘You guys need to work together, be seen together as a family, walk down the street together.’”

So it’s possible that all these niceties being uttered back and forth are just for show?

Just to help future Flip or Flop ratings? That’s sad to think about.

Tarek and Christina are doing as they’re told, according to this report.

They spent Christmas together as a family, hanging out and opening presents with kids Taylor and Brayden.

But this same insider alleges that Christina may have an ulterior motive:

“She wants to cooperate with HGTV because she is gunning to get her own show,” the source claims, adding:

“She’s upset because she knows that if she doesn’t cooperate, she might never get her own show, which is now her dream.”

Hey, we should all have dreams.

But anyone who watches Flip or Flop must be aware that Christina does very little, at least compared to Tarek.

She offers up some design suggestions here and there, and she looks very pretty. But… well… that’s about it.

Tarek El Moussa to Christina El Moussa: PAY ME!

Thus far, the Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa break-up has been surprisingly peaceful and amicable.

We were taken by surprise when the Flip or Flop stars announced their separation last month, and were then disappointed when Tarek filed for divorce this week, ensuring no reconciliation.

But we’ve been encouraged by how maturely this split has been handled.

Is that about to change, however? Is some mud about to be slung? Are the bitter insults about the fly?

We can’t help but wonder on the heels of the revelation that Tarek is actually seeking spousal support from Christina.

In court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the Flip or Flop anchor has asked his estranged wife to provide for him finally.

He is also requesting of the court that his ability to award alimony to Christina be terminated.

Finally, the legal papers confirm that Tarek is would like Christina pay for his attorney’s fees.

The divorce petition was filed on Monday at the Orange County Superior Court and include a request by Tarek for joint legal and physical custody of his and Christina’s two children, six-year-old daughter Taylor and one-year-old son Brayden.

That makes sense, of course.

It would be strange if Tarek did not want joint custody of his kids.

But what do we make of his financial demands?

Is he pressing Christina for money because he’s angry over the way she’s moved on?

Within days of the couple’s separation news going viral, we learned that Christina is dating Gary Anderson, the family contractor.

The romance appears to be quite serious.

“Tarek feels betrayed by Gary, as he had worked for both him and Christina and feels like he should not have gotten involved in their relationship,” a source tells HollywoodLife, adding:

“He believes that things might have panned out differently if Gary had chosen not to get close to his wife.”

So there you supposedly have it.

Last month, the Internet learned of a frightening incident that took place between Christina and Tarek in May.

The then-married twosome got into an argument that resulted in Tarek storming out of their home and into the woods, taking a gun with him.

Christina was concerned for his safety and called the police.

Once they converged on Tarek, he said he was upset, but never had any kind of suicidal thoughts. He simply took the weapon with him as protection against animals.

After this unusual story went public, the HGTV stars released the following statement:

Tarek and Christina have appeared to remain on solid terms ever since.

According to People Magazine, they are still filming Flip or Flop together.

“The children are their number one priority and maintaining normalcy for them,” an insider tells this publication. “They will do anything for their children.”

That’s good to hear at least.

After taking a holiday hiatus, look for Tarek and Christina to keep shooting new episodes of their HGTV series together for seven or eight more months.

They are under contract to do so. They share two kids. They will be part of each other’s lives for a long time moving forward.

“We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard,” the former couple has also said in the recent past.

Might Tarek’s divorce demands change these plans, however?

Christina and Tarek El Moussa: Who Got the Kids on Christmas?

Flip or Flop’s Christina and Tarek El Moussa announced their stunning split two weeks ago (though they actually had split months ago).

So with Christmas last weekend … how did they handle it?

It looks like the HGTV couple is deeply committed to co-parenting (and putting up the best possible front), because they did just that.

Both spent the holidays with their adorable children.

The blonde mom of two posted several family photos from the former couple’s Christmas Eve and Christmas celebrations on her Instagram.

She joked, as many parents likely did on Sunday, about how difficult it is to wrangle two little ones and actually take a decent pic together.

“When you can’t get both kids to cooperate for a pic at the same time,” she jokingly wrote on Instagram, along with the images below:

Meanwhile, her soon-to-be ex-husband Tarek posted a sweet photo of him holding daughter Taylor and son Brayden earlier on Christmas.

“We love our amazing kids so much!! Wishing you all a very merry Christmas from California!” Tarek wrote, and it looks like they had one.

Earlier this month, the two stars of the hit home renovation series released the following statement in the wake of their surprising split:

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage.”

“We had an unfortunate misunderstanding six months ago.”

“The police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”

The El Moussas then confirmed that they had split up months ago, but sought counseling to “sort out” their relationship after the incident.

It was there that the pair decided ultimately to separate and co-parent their children, while continuing to film new episodes for HGTV.

“We are committed to being the best parents we can be.”

“We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively,” they said, “and plan to continue our professional life together.”

They are both moving on already, though, not reconciling.

Christina is dating Gary Anderson, a contractor who has worked with the family and who witnessed the incident with Tarek in question.

As for the “incident,” by this point, we all know the details of what went on thanks to TMZ breaking the news six months after the fact.

In May, Tarek responded to a fight with Christina by grabbing a gun, storming out of their Orange County home and heading into the woods.

Christina feared her husband was going to kill himself and dialed 911; Many police officers (and a helicopter) then arrived on the scene.

When authorities located a distraught Tarek, he claimed that he had only taken a gun into the wilderness as protection against animals.

El Moussa said he needed to “blow off steam” but willingly surrendered all of his legally registered firearms, and no charges were filed.

It is believed that Flip or Flop will end after this season.

Gary Anderson: Christina El Moussa"s New Boyfriend"s Costly Divorces Revealed!

A new report indicates that Flip or Flop star Christina El Moussa’s new boyfriend, Gary Anderson, is no stranger to bitter splits himself.

Twice over.

The contractor met Christina three years ago, and most recently worked with her and husband Tarek on a backyard renovation project. 

He was a witness to Tarek and Christina’s police incident in May, which TMZ reported earlier this month and which led to their separation.

It’s not clear when the El Moussas started seeing other people, or what the infamous fight was about; Tarek and Christina aren’t spilling.

Rather, they’ve put out a statement and social media updates that paint the picture of separated, but amicable and supportive co-parents.

Gary’s role in the HGTV couple’s breakup may be nothing at all … but he surely played a role in a 1999 split from his first wife, Jo Ann.

Their divorce was followed by nearly a decade of nasty court battles, where the couple fought over money and custody of their daughters.

According to court documents, Gary was accused of understating his income to  lower spousal and child support payments to his ex-wife.

We’re talking understating it by a lot.

Court papers suggest that Gary claimed to have earned $ 128,000 over the course of a year, although his actual income “was $ 1,044,512.”

$ 128,000 … give or take $ 916,512?

Anderson was ordered to pay ex Jo Ann $ 4,000 per month in spousal support until 2003, along with $ 7,082 per month in child support.

Moreover, he was required to pay $ 100,000 in back child support and agreed to put an additional $ 50,000 in an account for his daughters.

Meanwhile, Gary’s second wife, Denise, filed for divorce in 2005 after just four years. But once again, the contractor didn’t get off easy:

He was forced to give her $ 2,000 a month spousal support for two years, and $ 330,000 from their joint bank account. That’s a lot, right?

Yes, but it’s not even close to all of it.

Gary gave her a brand-new BMW, their $ 700,000 California home and an equalization payment of $ 405,000 in the process of divorcing. 

Wow.

News of Gary’s two costly divorce settlements come shortly after Christina revealed she fully intends to move on from her split with Tarek.

At least he seems to have strong earning potential; Anderson must not have a hard time getting home renovation work, are we right?

Gary is the one who told police he saw Tarek bolt from the house and onto a hiking trail, prompting the Christina El Moussa 911 call.

He said that Christina, who was shaking and crying, told him Tarek had a gun (Tarek later said this was just for protection from wildlife).

Anderson was actually at their neighbor’s house when Tarek bolted, according to police, not working for the El Moussas at that moment.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department went to the couple’s home, police sources say, and “made contact with a witness, Gary Anderson.”

The contractor “relayed that he was working next door when we saw Tarek El Moussa run out of his back door.” This was May 23.

Then, he saw the HGTV personality “jump over his back fence and walk northbound into the hiking trails of the Chino Hills State Park.”

Tarek told police, after they located him, that he never intended to hurt Christina or himself, and just did this to “blow off some steam.”

Nevertheless, he turned over his guns (all legal).

The couple’s statement this month chalked all of this up to a huge misunderstanding and denied there was ever a threat of any violence.

Little is known about how and when exactly Christina’s romance with Anderson came to pass, but she hasn’t denied that it’s happening.

Christina El Moussa and Son Star in Precious Video

Despite recently separating from her husband Tarek, Christina El Moussa is finding the best way to smile through the toughest of times.

The Flip or Flop star shared a sweet Instagram video of her 15-month-old son, Brayden James, and few things, if any, could be cuter.

"Even on my roughest days he always brings a smile to my face. #BraydenJames you make our lives complete," the 33-year-old wrote.

Consistent with the separated HGTV couple"s efforts to keep things amicable – at least in public – she tagged Tarek El Moussa as well.

The hosts of the popular house flipping show recently announced that they"ve been separated since a bizarre police incident back in May.

It"s not clear how TMZ broke the story so many months later, but the pair confirmed it, saying they are committed to their work and kids.

They are parents to Brayden and 6-year-old daughter Taylor.

Christina and Tarek will continue to work together on their show – at least until Flip or Flop is canceled – after seven years of marriage.

They have been, and are, seeing other people however.

"We have both dated other people following the separation, but neither of us is ready to announcing anything in terms of another relationship."

"We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard."

Tarek was dating the nanny … but that"s over already.

As for reports of Christina and Tarek getting back together? It"s not happening, no matter how well they"re doing as co-parents lately.
