Ami Brown Really Does Have Cancer, Discovery Channel Confirms
An executive at the Discovery Channel has a very simple and very pointed message for certain fans of Alaskan Bush People.
And that messages goes something like this:
FOR SHAME!
Speaking to Radar Online, the network’s Executive Vice President, Laurie Goldberg, opened up for the first time this week about Ami Brown’s cancer diagnosis.
She and her loved ones admitted in July of 2017 that the long-time reality star had been diagnosed with a very serious form of lung cancer and that her prognosis was grim at best.
Since then, various members of this famous family have kept fans apprised of Ami’s status on occasion, with the latest update being an extremely sad one:
Brown has reportedly returned to the hospital.
But this doesn’t mean all hope is lost, Goldberg says:
“She is going to L.A. for a routine three month check-up but is optimistic and surrounded by nothing but love,” she also told Radar.
In this same conversation with the aforementioned celebrity gossip website, Goldberg expressed consternation that anyone out there has been doubting Ami’s diagnosis.
Do these critics really think producers and/or the Browns themselves would lie about such a thing?
“Ami’s battle with cancer is very real,” Goldberg emphasis, taking those who disbelieve her to task and adding:
“It is just disgusting that anyone would say her cancer is not real or that it was created for the show.”
We can’t entirely fault viewers for having a few questions, of course.
Reality TV in general is known for conjuring up storylines, as Jacob Roloff very recently came out and explained in a book written by this Little People, Big World star.
But still.
We’re talking about cancer here and we would never for a second wonder whether Ami and her children were actually lying about such a serious illness.
“It’s in both lungs, in the middle and sides of the lungs,” Ami’s husband, Billy Brown, said last year.
He said the cancer had been labeled as stage 3B, which is very close to the worst possible diagnosis, and continued at the time:
“It hasn’t traveled to any other organs, but that’s what they’re saying is next. Any time we talk to anybody, it’s bad news.”
Alaskan Bush People will be returning for Season 8, however, and we hear that Ami may still be part of the cast.
“The fans will get to see her journey alongside the rest of the family on the upcoming season,” Goldberg previews, adding:
“There is definitely no drama between her and anyone in the family – they love her very much and would do anything for her.”
No premiere date for Season 8 has been announced just yet.
We’ll pass it along as soon as it’s confirmed…
… and we’ll continue to send Ami our best wishes.

JD Scott: Discovery of Third Property Brother Traumatizes Entire Internet
HGTV has suffered through a surplus of scandals over the past several months.
There was the report that Chip and Joanna Gaines may hate gay people, along with the shocking split of Tarek and Christina El Moussa.
But nothing could have prepared fans of this cable network for the following piece of life-altering news:
Jonathan and Drew Scott have a brother.
Known to the television and home renovation world as The Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew have been an inseparable pair for years.
They’re twins. They work together. They live together. They seemingly go everywhere together and do everything together.
So you can understand why so many fans of the siblings were taken aback late last week when a old photo emerged on Twitter of Jonathan Scott… Drew Scott… and JD Scott.
Yes, JD Scott.
Aside from most Internet users being unaware JD even existed, one look at the picture makes it clear that he doesn’t share the same taste in style or appearance as his famous reality star brothers.
At least one fan stared and stared at this image and couldn’t help but wonder if it wasn’t a snapshot of Jonathan, Drew and Pete Wentz.
You can see why such a question would be raised, can’t you?
So, what do we know about ProBro3?
James Daniel Scott lives in Las Vegas and is not a magician, despite many Twitter users assuming this were the case after studying the throwback photo above.
“Not a magician although my mom says I’m magic,” he wrote in response to a Tweet based on this picture, adding that his haircut has also changed in recent years:
“The good old emo hair has been put to rest, it served its term.”
JD also:
- Has at least 10 tattoos.
- Hates mushrooms (they are his “mortal enemy,” according to Instagram).
- Is a huge fan of NHL team the Vancouver Canucks.
- Is also a big fan of Saturday Night Live (which referenced JD during its 40th anniversary special).
- LOVES Subway sandwiches.
- Was named one of MyVegas Magazine’s Top 100 Men of Success in 2014.
See? Who says you need a HGTV show to be considered a success?!?
Thre you have it.
JD Scott exists.
There’s only one question that therefore exists:
WHO IS THE HOTTEST PROPERTY BROTHER?
It’s time to choose a Scott! Which of these siblings is easiest on the eyes? View Poll »

O.J. Simpson: LAPD Confirms Discovery of Possible Murder Weapon
Earlier today, TMZ reported that a knife which may have been used in the 1994 murders of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson was found buried at the former estate of disgraced football legend O.J. Simpson.
Now, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that it is investigating the matter and treating the knife as possible new evidence in one of the most high-profile crimes of the 20th Century.
“Within the last month LAPD became aware of an item that was allegedly recovered by a citizen from the Rockingham property during the demolition of the site,” says LAPD Captain Andrew Neiman in the video above.
“We need to vet that, we still don’t know if that’s an accurate account.
“That item has been recovered by robbery homicide investigators. It is being treated as we would all evidence. It has been submitted to our lab. They are going to study it and examine if for all forensics, including serology and DNA and hair samples.”
Addressing the rumor that a retired LA police officer may have been in possession of the knife since as early as 1998, Neiman stated:
“I was really surprised. I would think that an LAPD officer – if this story is accurate as we’re being told – would know that anytime you come into contact with evidence, you should and shall submit that.”
TMZ’s sources claim that the knife was discovered by a civilian and turned over to an officer, who allegedly decided to keep it as a valuable momento.
The timing of the discovery is bizarre, as the Simpson case has been back in the news in recent months due to the popularity of an FX miniseries about the trial.
Simpson, of course, was acquitted of the murders in 1995, but is currently in prison after being found guilty on unrelated kidnapping, robbery and assault charges in 2008.
We’ll have further updates on this story as more information becomes available.
