Arrow Season 4 Episode 12 Recap: A Daddy Issue

Viewers witnessed a significant return and a major reveal on Arrow Season 4 Episode 12.

First, we welcomed back Colton Haynes as Roy “Arsenel” Harper, as the heor was blackmailed by a villain known as The Calculator.

He was coerced into steal some Palmer tech toys.

The details of Roy’s rescue aren’t overly important, however, because it was what took place after Oliver and company solved this forced servitude problem that has all fans talking today:

The Calculator (portrayed by veteran actor Tom Amandes) spent a bulk of the episode squaring off against Felicity over the computer screen, meaning these two never lay eyes on each other.

But just because our favorite wheelchair-bound heroine emerged victorious in an entertaining clash of keyboards, that didn’t her business with the mysterious menace was over.

Meaning what, exactly?

Following a rousing presentation to the Palmer Tech board, Felicity came face-to-face with The Calculator’s public persona, Noah Cutler.

But that’s not what she knows him as. She knows him as… DAD!

Allow us to repeat: The Calculator is Felicity’s father!!!!!

Showrunner Wendy Mericle spoke to TV Line about the revelation and viewers will learn a lot more next Wednesday about Cutler, his history and where things may go from here.

Before you go watch Arrow online to relive this significant installment, though, here’s a tease regarding how Felicity will react, courtesy of Mericle:

She wants to believe that her father loves her and that he has a vested interest in who she is and knowing her and having a relationship with her, and she feels very torn about that – even though she knows right off that bat, at the top of [next episode], who he really is.

Pamela Anderson Covers Playboy"s Last Nude Issue EVER

Jenny McCarthy wanted the job, but TOO BAD.

Pamela Anderson graces the cover of Playboy Magazine’s last nude issue, marking the end of an era.

“I got a call from [Hugh Hefner’s] attorney who said, ‘We don’t want anybody else,” Anderson told Entertainment Tonight.  “There’s nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?"”

Her son, Brandon, 19, convinced her that it was definitely something worth doing.  It was a surprise, considering he and his younger brother, Dylan were teased in the past when mom stripped down.

The boys gave Anderson the thumbs up, explaining that they were older now and not “embarrassed” by her anymore.

Smooth, boys.

“I was like, ‘What? Are you serious?’ But then I thought that’s probably a good thing,” Anderson said in a sit-down with ET.

“It’s hard to compete with the Internet,” Anderson continued.  “And the girl next door doesn’t exist anymore. She’s taking selfies down her shirt, like, you know, there’s no mystery over there anymore.

It doesn’t have that same charm and innocence that it used to.”

Earlier this month, the actress and activist revealed that she was cured of Hepatitis C after being diagnosed in 2002, and what a way to celebrate.  Reuniting with Hugh Hefner was exactly what Anderson wanted.

“He’s such a sweetheart and he’s just been such a big part of my life,” Anderson said.

“I had a rough few years where I felt a little insecure, ’cause you know everyone’s getting older,” Anderson admitted. “I thought, ‘My gosh, I miss the Playboy days.’ It was so glamorous, it was so chivalrous, there’s so many people there that were so smart, and activism, and art.

“You know, I just kind of miss that whole crowd and us being these little giggling girls kind of running around the mansion half naked and trying to get everybody’s attention.”

The final nudie issues hits newsstands December 11th.

Arrow Season 4 Episode 8 Recap: Daddy Issue

The CW concluded its latest Arrow-The Flash crossover by dropping a major bombshell on viewers.

Indeed, Oliver Queen has one major daddy issue: he is one!

On Arrow Season 4 Episode 8, Oliver confronted an ex-girlfriend after running a DNA test to confirm that her child really is.

As some have speculated, however, this mother-son tandem are not comic book characters Sandra and Connor Hawke.

They are simply two relative unknowns named Samantha and William Clayton.

This way, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told reporters after a screening of the installment, Connor can still be introduced at a different point down the line.

Thanks to Barry going back and erasing the timeline in which Felicity learned of Oliver’s secret, resulting in a major blowout, Oliver now has no plans on revealing the truth to his girlfriend.

As you might expect, according to producer Wendy Mericle, this is “definitely going to come to a head in the middle of the season.”

She adds:

“True to what we’ve done on the show, if there’s a secret somewhere, it’s going to come out, and it’s going to have some serious consequences, [which will] raise the stakes [for Olicity] and throw some wrenches into the works of their relationship.”

Also having consequences? Barry trip back in time after Vandal Savage actually destroyed both Team Arrow and Team Flash.

“When Sara was brought back, when Thea was brought back, last year when Barry changed the timeline, this year when Barry changes the timeline… any of these things that feel like the right thing to do, there is always, always a price to be paid,” Kreisberg previews.

Finally, as seen in the concluding minutes (when Malcolm gathered Savage’s ashes) the villain’s story is not over. Not by a long shot. Look for details of how he’ll resurface to play a major role on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which premieres in January.

So there you have it. Crossover complete.
