Vanessa Lachey: Did She Fake Wardrobe Malfunction on Dancing With the Stars?

Vanessa Lachey has proven she’s a force to be reckoned with on Dancing with the Stars.

While she and her dance partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy, have apparently had their fair shares of ups and downs, it appears that they have buried the hatchet in favor of winning the coveted trophy.

For Vanessa, winning would mean she would stay relevant for another few months, and she definitely has the skill to make it further into the competition.

During the most recent episode, Vanessa suffered a wardrobe malfunction that resulted in her dress ripping during her routine.

It was perfectly timed because the cameras were very much on her.

Some fans have questioned whether she orchestrated the whole thing herself to keep her name in the media.

While it’s common for people on reality TV to want to milk the exposure to the bitter end, we have no idea whether Vanessa would go that low.

According to Star Magazine, Vanessa knew what she was doing, and did it to advance further into the competition.

Vanessa’s dance last night was flawless, but her skirt ripping off was totally staged!” the tipster dished to the publication.

“She is so thirsty to win now that she is willing to do anything to stay on air,” the source continued.

“She isn’t stupid. Before Vanessa was a celebrity in her own right, she was an entertainment news reporter, so she definitely knows how to make headlines.”

While it’s a fair assumption to make about Vanessa’s previous line of work, it is difficult to imagine her essentially stripping off on live television to get people talking about her.

If she did go that far, it would show the world what her character is really like.

There were rumors earlier this month that her place in the competition was in jeopardy when Val grew tired of her diva behavior.

“Vanessa is the boss and likes submissive men that do what she tells them to do,” a source revealed to Star at the time.

“She wants to choreograph her own dances, select her own music and even design her own costumes.”

What do you think about all of this? Could the star really be trying to craft a controversial path to glory?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Just Wrote the Sweetest Note to Vanessa Lachey

It looks like we can put rumors of a Dancing with the Stars feud to rest.

Last Monday night, after Maksim Chmerkovskiy skipped out on an episode of this popular ABC competition, multiple outlets reported that he and partner Vanessa Lachey do not get along.

But that’s putting it mildly.

They pretty much hate each other and are “miserable,” an insider told Us Weekly, citing dueling stubborn and strong personalities as the basis for this alleged beef.

But Chmerkovskiy quickly tried to quell such chatter, issuing an apology to Lachey for his absence and saying he was psyched to make a return this past Monday night.

And return he did!

Vanessa and Maksim performed an strong Rumba that earned then 24 out of a possible 30 points.

You can watch this routine in full via the video at the top of the post.

Equally as impressive as the performance, however, was the raw honesty showed by Lachey.

In the pre-taped video package that aired before she took the floor, Lachey explained how she nearly died after giving birth at just 29 weeks to her son in December.

After little Phoenix entered the world, Lachey told viewers that she was rushed in to emergency surgery.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” she said on air, fighting back tears.

Chmerkovskiy listened closely to this harrowing account during the installment.

And now he’d like to share a few thoughts he has about his partner.

“Everything I ever want for my partners is literally what @vanessalachey has brought to the dance floor last night. Raw, unapologetic, real emotion expressed through a beautiful dance,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted.

Very handsome and considered a strong stud muffin, Maksim also admitted that Lachey’s story tugged at his heartstrings.

Hard.

“Yesterday also marked the first time when I completely lost it right before the dance… I rarely cry but this was something different, something I’ve yet to experience watching someone else’s story,” he wrote, addressing Vanessa and adding:

“”I’m proud of you partner! They can say what they want but you’re a star and I wouldn’t want to be on this rollercoaster with anyone but you!

“And we have so many more of these moments to share with each other, and everyone else who couldn’t stop their tears…#teamBabiesAndBallroom #DWTS #NeverADullMoment.”

We love it.

We hope to continue seeing Lachey and Chmerkovskiy on the dance floor for many weeks to come.

They’re our new favorites this season!

Vanessa Lachey Details Near-Death Experience on Dancing with the Stars, Rumbas Through Partner Rivalry

Vanessa Lachey could not hold back her emotion on Dancing with the Stars last night.

But the tears this competitor shed had nothing to do with the alleged feud between her and Maks Chmerkovskiy.

Instead, they had everything to do with the time Lachey nearly died.

First, a quick refresher:

Last week, multiple sources claimed Lachey and Chmerkovskiy actively hated each other, with one source telling Us Weekly there’s constant “fighting” when the cameras are off and that each half of this partnership is “miserable.”

This tabloid cites dueling stubborn personalities for the basis of these disagreements.

Neither Vanessa nor Maks have really commented on the rumor of a rivalry, but the latter did skip last Monday’s performance show, raising some major eyebrows around the Internet.

He later apologized.

“As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted on Wednesday, adding:

“I take full responsibility for my actions and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa.

“We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!”

And dance they did on Monday evening, doing the Rumba on an episode that episode featured the celebrities’ most memorable years.

As part of the pre-taped package before they took to the live stage, Lachey explained why this has been her most memorable year:

Because she nearly died right before it started.

“I was in the hospital on bed rest and then my water broke. I was only 29 weeks,” Lachey explained to Chmerkovskiy about what transpired with her son, Phoenix.

Husband Nick Lachey, who is also a contestant on Season 25, was featured in the video as well.

“I’ll never forget. She called me in a panic: ‘They’re taking me in for an emergency surgery. Get here as quick as you can,’” he said.

Vanessa remembers every detail of the harrowing experience.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” Lachey said, crying at this point.

She then went out and danced to a track sang by her husband.

“This song got us through some really tough times and helped us bond even closer as a family,” Vanessa explained.

Watch Vanessa and Maks crush their Rumba!!!!!!!!!!

Did the supposed feud between herself and Chmerkovskiy affect the routine?

Or the raw emotion of the moment?

Not really, as the tandem earned 24 points out of a possible 30.

On a related note, we send the very best to Vanessa, Nick and their kids.

What a scary experience for everyone involved. We’re just glad Lachey is doing okay these days.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Apologizes to Vanessa Lachey, Tries to Squash Beef Rumors

Amidst rumors that he and Dancing with the Stars partner Vanessa Lachey don’t exactly get along, Maksim Chmerkovskiy has come out and attempted to quiet all such chatter.

He’s issued a direct apology to the television personality.

To open the ABC broadcast on Monday night, co-host Erin Andrews told viewers that the international stud muffin was absent due to “personal issues” and Lachey would be dancing with Alan Bersten instead.

No other information was given at the time.

But the timing was questionable because Chmerkovskiy essentially no-showed an episode just as the Internet was blowing up with rumors of a rivalry between himself and his partner.

“There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes,” a source told Us Weekly this week, explaining a bit more in detail:

“Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another…

“They’re playing nice for the cameras, but both are miserable paired with each other.”

This alleged dispute hasn’t affected the tandem on screen, however.

If there is a beef, it’s been put aside during the actual program, as Chmerkovskiy and Lachey have sat atop the leaderboard all season long.

And they’ll be back at it again in just a few days.

“New week! VEEEEERY excited for @DancingABC new dance studio and new dance with @Vanessa Lachey! Can’t wait to be back at the Ballroom!” Chmerkovskiy also Tweeted yesterday.

Fellow professional Lindsay Arnold, meanwhile, has confirmed to People Magazine that she saw Maks and Vanessa in the studio this week.

Yes, together.

Elsewhere, actress Sasha Pieterse (who is competing on Season 25) also spoke to People and basically said if there’s tension between Chmerkovskiy and Lachey… well… she hasn’t seen it.

With Vanessa’s husband (Nick Lachey) and Maksim’s wife (Peta Murgatroyd) also paired up this fall, the former Pretty Little Liars star says everyone is having a blast.

“Honestly, they’re awesome, I love them. Nick and Vanessa are awesome so are Peta and Maks. They’re such a fun partnership,” said Pieterse, who is still alive with partner Gleb Savchenko.

In the end, of course, does it really matter if Chmerkovskiy and Lachey get along?

If anything, it’s almost more interesting that they may detest each other personally, yet are still able to perform well professionally.

All we know for sure is that we’ll be tuning in next week to see if we can spot any issues at all between these two while they once again try to impress the judges and the viewers at home.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey: They Hate Each Other!

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey are still around on Dancing with the Stars.

The tandem has not yet been voted off the ABC competition.

Unlike most pairings, however, Chmerkovskiy and Lachey may actually be distraught over this fact.

For what possible reason?

Why would two contestants be anxious to go home instead of go on to the next round?

It’s simple, an anonymous insider tells Us Weekly: Chmerkovskiy and Lachey hate each other!

There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes,” a source tells the tabloid of the professional dancer and his partner.

There hasn’t necessarily been one topic of dispute that stands out or anything. There’s nothing especially juicy or scandalous to report.

It sounds more like this is just a clash of personalities.

“Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another,” the magazine writes, adding:

“They’re playing nice for the cameras, but both are miserable paired with each other.”

Despite these differences when the cameras are off, Maks and Vanessa have been doing very well once they hit the dance floor on Monday nights.

They’ve been close to the top of the leaderboard each week.

However, fans were left without any answers when the Ukrainian stud muffin was a no-show for the Monday, October, 2 episode.

“Maks is dealing with a personal issue so Alan [Bersten] is stepping in and dancing with Vanessa tonight,” cohost Erin Andrews simply told viewers at the outset of the show.

We’ve heard nothing since about the basis for Chmerkovskiy’s absence, making us think this rumor of a rivalry is legitimate.

Heck, there wasn’t even the usual pre-taped package for the pairing, depicting them rehearing together for this week’s performance.

A second source tells Us Weekly that Chmerkovskiy refused to practice last week, but Lachey showed up, ready to put personal differences aside for the sake of the Mirrorball Trophy.

And it’s not like teammates have to get along in order to succeed.

Just take Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal on the Los Angeles Lakers teams of the early 2000s. They won three titles together, even if they often clashed while doing so.

But you need to practice.

Adding to the tension and unusual nature of this feud?

Nick Lachey, Vanessa’s husband, is teamed with Peta Murgatroyd this season… she’s Chmerkovskiy’s wife!

“Nick and Peta are totally fine,” the source says, though. “Nick is awesome. He’s very laid back and sweet. Peta just goes with the flow, she’s easy.”

Nick Lachey Posts the Sweetest Anniversary Tribute for Vanessa, Awww!

We’re no strangers to Nick Lachey and Vanessa’s adorable holiday cards, so we’re not really surprised to see that Nick Lachey’s anniversary message to his wife is hopelessly touching.

It’s been six years, you guys!

Doesn’t it seem like, if not just yesterday, not that long ago that Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were inseparable?

But those two divorced over a decade ago, and you know what? We’re delighted.

Nick and Vanessa found each other soon after that breakup and they are precious together.

Jessica Simpson is still gorgeous and she’s happy and living her best life.

(Seriously, check out her butt right now — we’ll wait)

Nick and Vanessa have three kids together, and Nick’s been investing in legal marijuana and a big proponent for legalizing it in more states.

But Nick is, first and foremost, wildly in love with Vanessa, and he’s reminding the world of it with this photo and its caption.

First of all, that’s clearly a photograph of a photograph — and we think that he snapped this of a wall-mounted picture.

That speaks volumes to how important their relationship is to both of them.

And then there’s Nick’s captions:

“Six years ago today, I took this beautiful woman as my wife and the life we’ve built together is more incredible than anything I could have ever imagined!!”

Beautiful.

“Through all of the laughter, tears, triumphs, and challenges, you are my unconditional rock.”

It’s so important that he talks about the emotional range involved, you know?

Not all of marriage is bliss, but overall, a relationship should make you happy.

“I love you and our family more than you will ever know.”

We think that she has some idea.

“Thanks for your patience, support, and love. Thanks for being you.”

He even used the serial comma (also called the Oxford comma) — what a champ!

He ended it with the simplified message — and, of course, with an obligatory hashtag.

“Happy Anniversary!! #soulmate.”

Gotta have those hashtags.

Remember that while they’ve been married for six years, they started dating something like eleven years ago.

And despite one or two “hiccups” in their relationship during the dating phase, these two have been a consistent item.

A decade is a long time to get to know someone.

Half a decade is a good amount of time to wait while dating before getting married.

(Not just a few months, as the Duggars like to rush weddings because they do everything wrong)

But that’s just a general guideline.

Different people and different couples might click way faster — or might take years longer before they get that kind of certainty.

But Nick and Vanessa got to really get to know each other, before and after their wedding.

Nick and Jessica were followed everywhere by cameras to film their show, and doing that so early on proved to be disastrous.

(Kind of like what happened with Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins, to be honest — history loves to repeat itself)

There were a lot of factors behind Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson’s breakup.

(A breakup that, at the time, was a huge deal)

They were both young and they were just different people.

Being constantly on camera so early in their relationship cannot have helped.

But the real lesson here is that when you find the person who’s perfect for you, your relationship can be truly and wildly successful.

Just don’t rush things or marry too young, basically.

Real love usually comes with real maturity.

Jessica Simpson: What Drove Her Away From Nick Lachey?

Earlier this week, Jessica Simpson celebrated her 37th birthday, and she celebrated in pretty much the same way that she markd every other occasion – with a revealing bikini photo.

But Jessica’s bikini selfies aren’t the only reason her … million Instagram followers flock to her page.

Many are there for the the photos of Jess’ husband, children, and idyllic homelife.

The scene she portrays is so serene that it’s enough to make one forget that Jess’ first marriage was messy from start to finish – but also wildly important to the career she built its wake.

Some of out younger readers may not even realize that Jess was an MTV reality star back when the very notion of an MTV reality star was confusing to some and repugnant to others.

While the network was still struggling to find its identity in an age in which music videos could be watched on demand on the Internet, it experimented with the idea of celebrity-focused reality television.

The most famous of these experiments, The Osbournes, had critics up in arms at the time, but is now credited as – for better or worse – a pioneering series in a brand new genre.

Another, which aired around the same time, also found an unexpctedly large audience, but has become something of a footnote in 2017.

As its title suggests, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica focused on young, recently married pop stars Jessica Cimpson and Nick Lachey.

Like The Osbournes, the show was basically intended to serve as an unscripted family sitcom.

And at first, Jessica’s amusing malapropisms and difficulty understanding simple concepts (her belief that tuna was made of chicken remains a classic), but producers had difficulty hiding a darker undcurrent in the Simpson-Lachey household.

In a new interview with Complex magazine, producers open for the first time about realizing Nick and Jessica’s marriage wasn’t as picture perfect as it appeared from the outside.

“You could feel there was tension between the two of them. They were very different people,” producer producer Sue Kolinsky recalls.

“He was a blue collar guy—he did a lot of things himself, like he and his brother would build things,” Kplinsky says of Lachey. “He was frugal, and she had excessive taste.”

“In the end they weren’t suited for each other. The only thing they really had in common was their music.”

Kolinsky adds that the constant presence of Jessica’s controversial father, Joe Simpson, was also a factor in the couple’s early difficulties:

“She was really young; I think he’s seven years older than her. He wanted a family, and her father thought maybe she was too young. Her father was very involved in her life. “

Simpson and Lachey wound up separating after just three years together, and both released confessional breakup albums shortly thereafter.

The whole thing was enough to leave fans wondering if the marriage had been a publicity stunt.

But Kolinksy says the show was actually far less scripted than most reality shows.

She says believes that Nick and Jessica were really in love, and may have moved too quickly as a result of thier youth.

She also notes, that Jessica’s “dumb blonde routine” was “definitely not an act.”

These days, Jessica and Nick are both married, with families of their own, and while they reportedly have no contact with one another, it seems they’ve both found happy endings.

Just not the ones they would’ve imagined back when Newlyweds premiered in the those heady early days of reality TV.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey: Baby #3 on the Way!

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey just moved in to a new house.

But that’s not the major announcement they have for fans.

No, the major announcement this precious couple has for fans has to do with someone else new and exciting: A BABY!

Vanessa is pregnant with the twosome’s third child!

“#LacheyPartyOf5… and Wookie,” the singer captioned a picture of their family in front of its new residence today.

The text over the picture itself then reads as follows:

“We got a new crib! Now we need a new crib! Newest Lachey arriving Spring 2017.”

In the image, as you can see above, Vanessa holds her baby bump while everyone else in squad cheers for the impending arrival.

Nick and Vanessa got married in 2011, years after the former split from Kim Kardashian and divorced Jessica Simpson.

They are parents to a three-year old son named Camden and an eight-month-old daughter named Brooklyn.

Will baby number-three also be named after a city or town? We’ll find out in a few months!

Despite becoming a mother and father against under a year ago, Vanessa dished to E! News about the possibility of adding a third child to the Lachey clan back in June.

“The second [child] has been different just in the sense that it’s nonstop, but I love that,” she said.

“It’s busy and it’s chaotic, but…it’s what I’ve wanted and it’s all I know right now and on top of all of that, I have the most amazing supportive husband.”

For for the future?

“If we’re blessed with no. 3, it’s just going to be that much more exciting,” she said. “If it happens, it happens!”

And, hey, it’s happened!

Meanwhile, the Lacheys just paid $ 4.15 million for their new mansion, which is a seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home in Encino that once belonged to the late artist Jenni Rivera.

It sounds like they’ll have enough room for a third child, doesn’t it?

Here’s to the happy, cute couple!

We send them all our best wishes and hope that Vanessa has a relatively easy and healthy pregnancy.

SO EXCITING!

Jessica Simpson -- Nick Lachey Was My Biggest Money Mistake

Z STAFF

Jessica Simpson just called out Nick Lachey big time — saying their marriage was one of the worst financial mistakes she’s ever made.

Simpson was on CNBC’s “Closing Bell” Thursday when she was asked about any money mistakes she’s made that have helped her learn and grow as a businesswoman. Simpson doesn’t miss a beat before saying, “my first marriage.”

With a reported worth of $ 150 million, it’s safe to say Jessica has learned a lot when it comes to cash.
