Maksim Chmerkovskiy Just Wrote the Sweetest Note to Vanessa Lachey

It looks like we can put rumors of a Dancing with the Stars feud to rest.

Last Monday night, after Maksim Chmerkovskiy skipped out on an episode of this popular ABC competition, multiple outlets reported that he and partner Vanessa Lachey do not get along.

But that’s putting it mildly.

They pretty much hate each other and are “miserable,” an insider told Us Weekly, citing dueling stubborn and strong personalities as the basis for this alleged beef.

But Chmerkovskiy quickly tried to quell such chatter, issuing an apology to Lachey for his absence and saying he was psyched to make a return this past Monday night.

And return he did!

Vanessa and Maksim performed an strong Rumba that earned then 24 out of a possible 30 points.

You can watch this routine in full via the video at the top of the post.

Equally as impressive as the performance, however, was the raw honesty showed by Lachey.

In the pre-taped video package that aired before she took the floor, Lachey explained how she nearly died after giving birth at just 29 weeks to her son in December.

After little Phoenix entered the world, Lachey told viewers that she was rushed in to emergency surgery.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” she said on air, fighting back tears.

Chmerkovskiy listened closely to this harrowing account during the installment.

And now he’d like to share a few thoughts he has about his partner.

“Everything I ever want for my partners is literally what @vanessalachey has brought to the dance floor last night. Raw, unapologetic, real emotion expressed through a beautiful dance,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted.

Very handsome and considered a strong stud muffin, Maksim also admitted that Lachey’s story tugged at his heartstrings.

Hard.

“Yesterday also marked the first time when I completely lost it right before the dance… I rarely cry but this was something different, something I’ve yet to experience watching someone else’s story,” he wrote, addressing Vanessa and adding:

“”I’m proud of you partner! They can say what they want but you’re a star and I wouldn’t want to be on this rollercoaster with anyone but you!

“And we have so many more of these moments to share with each other, and everyone else who couldn’t stop their tears…#teamBabiesAndBallroom #DWTS #NeverADullMoment.”

We love it.

We hope to continue seeing Lachey and Chmerkovskiy on the dance floor for many weeks to come.

They’re our new favorites this season!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Apologizes to Vanessa Lachey, Tries to Squash Beef Rumors

Amidst rumors that he and Dancing with the Stars partner Vanessa Lachey don’t exactly get along, Maksim Chmerkovskiy has come out and attempted to quiet all such chatter.

He’s issued a direct apology to the television personality.

“As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted on Wednesday, adding:

“I take full responsibility for my actions and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa.

“We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!”

To open the ABC broadcast on Monday night, co-host Erin Andrews told viewers that the international stud muffin was absent due to “personal issues” and Lachey would be dancing with Alan Bersten instead.

No other information was given at the time.

But the timing was questionable because Chmerkovskiy essentially no-showed an episode just as the Internet was blowing up with rumors of a rivalry between himself and his partner.

“There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes,” a source told Us Weekly this week, explaining a bit more in detail:

“Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another…

“They’re playing nice for the cameras, but both are miserable paired with each other.”

This alleged dispute hasn’t affected the tandem on screen, however.

If there is a beef, it’s been put aside during the actual program, as Chmerkovskiy and Lachey have sat atop the leaderboard all season long.

And they’ll be back at it again in just a few days.

“New week! VEEEEERY excited for @DancingABC new dance studio and new dance with @Vanessa Lachey! Can’t wait to be back at the Ballroom!” Chmerkovskiy also Tweeted yesterday.

Fellow professional Lindsay Arnold, meanwhile, has confirmed to People Magazine that she saw Maks and Vanessa in the studio this week.

Yes, together.

Elsewhere, actress Sasha Pieterse (who is competing on Season 25) also spoke to People and basically said if there’s tension between Chmerkovskiy and Lachey… well… she hasn’t seen it.

With Vanessa’s husband (Nick Lachey) and Maksim’s wife (Peta Murgatroyd) also paired up this fall, the former Pretty Little Liars star says everyone is having a blast.

“Honestly, they’re awesome, I love them. Nick and Vanessa are awesome so are Peta and Maks. They’re such a fun partnership,” said Pieterse, who is still alive with partner Gleb Savchenko.

In the end, of course, does it really matter if Chmerkovskiy and Lachey get along?

If anything, it’s almost more interesting that they may detest each other personally, yet are still able to perform well professionally.

All we know for sure is that we’ll be tuning in next week to see if we can spot any issues at all between these two while they once again try to impress the judges and the viewers at home.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd: Married!

It’s wedding season, y’all!

This particular time of year, people seem to like to get married, celebrities and normal folk alike.

And it seems like Dancing with the Stars power couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are those kind of people.

Yesterday, Maksim and Peta got married in an absolutely gorgeous ceremony at an actual castle in Long Island.

And, unlike most celebrities, they allowed their guests to take photos throughout the ceremony and reception, and to share those photos on social media.

That’s how we have that beautiful photo of Maksim and Peta dancing during their wedding reception, and photos of … well, you’ll see!

Since both the bride and groom are professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars, it makes sense that many, many stars of the show were there — both in attendance and in the wedding party.

Not all of them though, because Julianne Hough also got married yesterday.

See what we mean about it being wedding season?

Val Chmerkovskiy, Maksim’s brother and another dancing pro, was the best man, and Tony Dovolani was one of his groomsmen.

Meanwhile, Peta chose Sharna Burgess and one-time celebrity contestant Rumer Willis as two of her bridesmaids.

Nyle DiMarco and Candace Cameron Bure were guests to the couple’s big day — Candace and Maks even shared a dance during the reception!

Peta was walked down the aisle by her father, and her dress was an ivory ball gown fit for a princess.

Maksim chose a stylish white jacket for his wedding ensemble — doesn’t he look so handsome?

After the wedding, the couple spent some time outside with their guests before moving indoors for the reception.

For their first dance, they didn’t show off like you might think a couple of people famous for their dancing skills would. Instead, they kept things simple.

Simple and adorable.

Speaking of adorable, Maks actually sang to Peta at one point.

Can you even handle how precious this whole thing sounds?

At one point during the reception, Peta left to change into her second gown of the night: a feathered dress that looked to be a bit easier to move around in.

It’s also worth noting that both Peta and Maks looked painfully happy in each and every photo from their wedding.

Sounds like a lovely day for lovely people, right?

It’s also pretty special since the wedding comes six months, nearly to the day, after they gave birth to their first child, a boy named Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy.

It was nearly a year before Shai was born that his parents got engaged, too — Maksim proposed to Peta in December of 2015.

There’s no word on if little Shai had a role in the wedding, nor are there any photos of him, but still, it all sounds very cute.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Dancing With the Stars Elimination: We Got F--ked!

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are speaking out on this week’s stunning Dancing With the Stars results, and they’re pissed.

Sure, they’re a little bit more diplomatic about it than we might be, but it’s abundantly clear they agree with the Internet on this assessment:

They got f–ked!

In what was arguably the most shocking, and dubious, ouster in the 24-season history of Dancing With the Stars, Heather and Maks are out.

After they turned in a perfect score – the only one of the season, no less – and all the men were arbitrarily declared safe ahead of time.

It made literally no sense on any level, calling into question why the results don’t factor in routines we just watched 20 MINUTES EARLIER.

Moreover, why was there a men vs. women dance-off in the first place if one side already “won” ahead of time (they obviously lost on points)?

Totally ridiculous and unfair.

Maks and Heather aren’t offering up sound bites as candid as that, but in speaking with ET, they’re were still surprised about the outcome.

“Well, I mean we’ve had a few [surprising upsets],” Maks said.

“[It’s been] 24 seasons of the show … [but] I just never thought that that one of my [partners] was going to be a part of that shock.”

“Brandy [Norwood] and I didn’t make the final [in season 11] when I thought she was one of the best dancers that season.”

“Even [that] wasn’t as shocking as this. This is crazy.”

Chmerkovskiy was truly baffled by the elimination, saying that it was “so wrong, in terms of [dancing talent],” that it was “almost OK.”

That’s a glass-half-full attitude for you: Dancing With the Stars’ results system is now such a joke that you can’t even get upset about it.

It has to sting, though, especially under the circumstances.

After missing several weeks due to injury, Maks returned Monday night and dominated with Heather in a sultry rumba set to TLC’s “Waterfalls.”

The captivating, film noir-themed routine earned them roars from the crowd, raves from the judges and a perfect score: 40 out of 40.

Yet Nick Viall remains on the show and they don’t.

Morris, the former Glee star and Beyonce backup dancer, said she always prepares herself for the reality that she could get eliminated.

“I feel like, [as] with any show that you watch on TV, it’s like, you don’t really know what’s coming next,” Morris shared, taking the high road.

“I was kinda preparing for anything that could happen. So it was like, ‘OK, if this is going to happen, let’s just be positive and go out the right way.”

According to Morris, the part of their elimination that made her sad is the fact that “we all want to see [Chmerkovskiy] dance again.”

Even then, she’s exiting stage left without a parting shot:

“Everybody is so fantastic and welcoming, [so] it was like, nice to [know] that I’m saying goodbye, but I’m also going to see these people again.”

Maks doesn’t quite share that same sense of Zen.

“I’m pissed,” he admitted, though he concurred.

“[But] it’s not the last time [Heather Morris and I] will be doing stuff together and, you know, I’m looking forward to when that happens.”

What do you think? Was this robbery the biggest stunner in DWTS history, or were some of these previous elimination shockers worse?

Peta Murgatroyd & Maksim Chmerkovskiy Welcome First Child

There’s a new addition to the Dancing With the Stars family!

Yes, Peta Murgatroyd has given birth to her first child with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

30-year-old Murgatroyd gave birth in the early hours of January, 4, 2017.

Chmerkovskiy took to Twitter to announce the news to his followers, as well as the baby name.

“Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy 01/04/17 5:34am,” the dancing pro Tweeted.

Maksim Chermovskiy Baby Tweet

Based on how quickly the baby daddy took to Twitter, it’s clear he is a proud father and is ecstatic about what the future holds for himself and his family.

This is one of the best moments of his life, so it’s only natural that he would opt to share it with his fans.

The news was later confirmed via a spokesperson for the couple to US Weekly.

“We can confirm that Peta and Maks have had their baby boy, Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy, born on Wednesday, January 4th at 5:34 a.m. Per the couple, ‘This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!"”

Considering Chmerkovskiy already took to Twitter to confirm the news, the statement was not needed, but at least we know his Twitter has not been hacked.

That seems to be happening to celebrities all too often these days.

It’s getting pretty ridiculous.

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy were dating off and on from 2012, but they solidified their relationship in December 2015 when they got engaged and are now planning to marry in July.

Both Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy have been staples on Dancing with the Stars over the years, with both of them up there as some of the best dancers on the show.

Chmerkovskiy most recently partnered with Amber Rose to try and help her win the competition, but she did not make it very far.

We would like to extend our congratulations to the new parents.

Will their child follow suit and become a dancing phenomenon, just like his parents?

Sound off in the comments below!

Amber Rose Bids Farewell to Dancing with the Stars, Maksim Chmerkovskiy

SPOILER ALERT:

Amber Rose is no longer Dancing with the Stars.

The model/talk show host/ex-girlfriend of Kanye West/lover of masturbation for unusual reasons was eliminated from the ABC competition last night.

But it doesn’t sound like Rose is bitter.

She isn’t making like Donald Trump any longer and claiming that the results are rigged.

Instead, Rose is merely grateful for the opportunity, most notably for being teamed up with attractive professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Soon after her elimination on Monday evening, Rose penned a heartfelt note to Chmerkovskiy on Instagram.

“Although our time was cut short@maksimc I’m so happy I had the chance to experience this with you!” the 32-year-old wrote alongside a photo of the partner striking a silly pose together (below).

Added Amber:

“You truly are my brother for life! Who knew we would become so close in such a short amount of time? Thank you for not giving up on me and getting to know the real me with no judgment I’ll love you forever for that reason and I’ll always have ur back through whatever.

“I’ll miss our stressed out rehearsals more then anything tho Love Amberony.”

And the feelings of affection and respect appear to be mutual.

Here is how Chmerkovskiy responded to Rose’s sweet words:

“My dearest Amberony!

“Thank you for some of the best weeks of my @dancingabc career! You’ve not let me down and only made me more and more proud each week.

“You’ve become a friend and an older sister (although you’re younger….you know what I mean :)), and this is definitely just the beginning of ‘Amber and Maks."”

The mover and shaker wasn’t even done.

He concluded as follows:

“This experience got cut short and I wish we would have just a few more weeks, but it happened exactly as it were meant to and I have absolutely no regrets.

“The world has yet to see what you can really do and I can’t wait to be in your corner when it does…. Love, Me.”

Before anyone makes any sort of comment about how these two need to get a room, keep in mind:

Chmerkovskiy is expecting a baby with his fiancee, Peta Murgatroyd.

And soon after the elimination news was announced on the show, he declared:

“I’m ready for diaper duty.”

As you can see above, Rose performed some memorable routines during her run on Dancing with the Stars.

It helped expose her to more of a mainstream audience than usual, which will be considered a win for Rose in the long run.

We’ll see what this means for the rest of her career, as we await to discover how Amber capitalizes on the attention.

Until then, we’re guessing she’ll pose for a few more selfies on Instagram.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd: Expecting First Child!

Peta Murgatroyd just took home the Season 22 Mirror Ball title with Nyle DiMarco on Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars results show.

But she has even bigger news to celebrate today …

Peta and her fiance, former Dancing With the Stars mainstay Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are expecting their first child together, Us confirms.

It’s a ballroom baby!

Murgatroyd, 29, and Chmerkovskiy, 36, got engaged in December 2015 when the Ukraine native got down on one knee on stage in Miami.

“I’m in love with you and I want to be in love with you for the rest of my life,” he said during a performance of Sway at the Olympia Theater.

“Will you marry me?”

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy dated for 10 months in 2012 and 2013, then broke it off before they rekindled the romance in early 2015.

This winter, she gushed over him, “I’ve always said he has the most incredible generosity. He wants to take care of everybody that he knows.”

“He has an incredible sense of humor when you get to see it,” she said. “I think that his bad-boy image is slowly kind of drifting away.”

“That harsh Maksim image. He is the biggest teddy bear you’ll ever meet underneath that Ukrainian look. I just love him,” Peta continued.

“Everything about him.”

“He’s just a great man.”

Murgatroyd alluded earlier this year that she and her partner were ready for kids – two or three, to be exact, should they be so blessed.

The Dancing With the Stars standout added: “[Maks is] somebody that I’ve always seen as being a great father and a great husband.”

Looks like he’s on the road to becoming both now, with no turning back! Congratulations to the pair and all the celebs expecting in 2016!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd: Engaged!

Dancing With the Stars pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd began dating back in 2012, but just like the competition for the mirrored ball trophy, their relationship has been far from easy.

The couple split several times amidst infidelity rumors, always telling the press that their work schedules were too hectic to allow them time for a relationship.

(We feel like training and filming just a few feet away from each other would make it easy to put in long days at work and still spend time together, but we digress.)

Anyway, after many ups and downs, Maksim and Peta got back together in May of this year, and over the weekend, Maks asked Peta to be his dancing partner for the rest of their lives.

This is not a couple that"s ever shied away from the spotlight, so it"s fitting that Maks proposed during a performance at the Olympia Theater in Miami.

You can watch the big moment in the video below.

"I"m in love with you, and I will be in love with you for the rest of my life," Maks told Peta before getting down on one knee – much to the delight of the massive crowd on hand.

The couple hasn"t discussed any specifics, such as when they plan to tie the knot, but if they decide to have kids, you know they"ll with some serious rhythm.

Congrats to Maks and Peta!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy: I"d Like to Kill Hope Solo!

Back in 2011, Hope Solo competed on Dancing With the Stars along with fan-favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her coach and partner.

The duo performed respectably, finishing in fourth place, but their working relationship is remembered as one of the most volatile in the history of the show.

Rehearsal footage showed Chmerkovskiy getting rough with Solo during rehearsals, and neither of them had anything good to say about the other after their time on the show was through.

Just when it seemed that they had quietly gone their separate ways, Solo dropped a bombshell in her memoir, claiming that Chmerkovskiy slapped her during one of their final rehearsals together.

Maksim swears that incident never happened, but Hope still sticks to her story three years later.

So we suppose it’s not surprising that Maks didn’t have a lot of kind things to say about the former USWNT goalie in a recent podcast interview:

“She’s just a sh-tty person,” Maksim says. “You can have a sh-tty life growing up, but if you’re a bad person, there’s no excuse for that.”

The remark was made during a game of “F-ck, Marry, Kill” and not surprisingly, Chmerkovskiy stated, “I would definitely kill Hope Solo” (hypothetically, of course).

Jeez. Tell what you really think Maks!
