Vanderpump Rules Stars Strip Down for PETA!
The only thing better than getting naked is getting naked for a good cause. Or maybe the only thing better than supporting a good cause is supporting it while you"re naked?
Either way, three of Vanderpump Rules" hottest stars are teaming up and stripping down to protest against orcas being held in marine circuses like SeaWorld.
And, as you"ll see in the video below, they"re wearing some very interesting body paint. …
For those of you hoping to see Lisa Vanderpump wearing nothing but body paint … we"ve very sorry to disappoint.
But we hope that Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, and Scheana Shay won"t leave you disappointed.
Nudity isn"t inherently sexual, but it sure does grab people"s attention.
Just look at how good Scheana Marie Shay looks in body paint:
If your message is important, you might want to make sure that you hook people"s attention.
Controversial animal rights organization PETA, which has been slammed in the past by political opponents but also by big-time proponents of animal rights who accuse PETA of hypocrisy and of misguided practices, uses nudity a lot.
PETA even made some weird bestiality posters in a recent push to promote veganism.
Sometimes the message gets lost.
But when it comes to this particular campaign, it"s not difficult to agree with PETA or these three Vanderpump Rules beauties.
The video below isn"t just skin and body paint (though those are also factors). It"s also
Ariana Madix makes sure that their goals are clear, saying:
"Today we"re here with PETA shooting a campaign to release the orcas into seaside sanctuaries from SeaWorld."
Her costar, Scheana, adds some grim information about the prospects for captive orcas:
"Orcas have died at SeaWorld and the fact that none of them died from old age is just insane."
That is so, so sad.
Lala Kent shares how the release of captive orcas from marine circuses like SeaWorld is important to her.
"When I saw the documentary, Blackfish, it literally changed my entire life."
That documentary did wonders for raising awareness.
"I found my passion and I found my voice and I will not stop until any place like SeaWorld is completely shut down."
That"s a powerful personal cause to have.
"Places like SeaWorld or the Miami Sea Aquarium … it is the equivalent to me of taking a baby and putting them in a bathtub and having them grow up there."
That might be a bit of a stretch — maybe forcing a baby to grow up within a single room, also unforgivably awful, would be a better analogy.
(We"re not blaming Lala for that — PETA has compared meat-eating to rape in the past; being inflammatory is arguably part of their brand)
Lala continues:
"When you take a mammal of that size and put it into basically a swimming pool, you can"t expect it to do anything but self-destruct."
Sadly, we know of countless instances of orcas doing just that. They lose their minds.
Ariana provides her own thoughts:
"Orcas are very social animals and they"re very intelligent animals."
That"s very true.
"Each pod has their own language. So you have orcas from all different pods who are living in these bathtubs."
Conflict in that situation seems inevitable. And so does misery.
"They"re fighting with each other because they have no way of communicating, they"re confused, and they"re full of anguish, and it shouldn"t be that way."
As far as PETA advertisements go, this one is solid. It"s an idea that we can all get behind.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd: Married!
It’s wedding season, y’all!
This particular time of year, people seem to like to get married, celebrities and normal folk alike.
And it seems like Dancing with the Stars power couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are those kind of people.
Yesterday, Maksim and Peta got married in an absolutely gorgeous ceremony at an actual castle in Long Island.
And, unlike most celebrities, they allowed their guests to take photos throughout the ceremony and reception, and to share those photos on social media.
That’s how we have that beautiful photo of Maksim and Peta dancing during their wedding reception, and photos of … well, you’ll see!
Since both the bride and groom are professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars, it makes sense that many, many stars of the show were there — both in attendance and in the wedding party.
Not all of them though, because Julianne Hough also got married yesterday.
See what we mean about it being wedding season?
Val Chmerkovskiy, Maksim’s brother and another dancing pro, was the best man, and Tony Dovolani was one of his groomsmen.
Meanwhile, Peta chose Sharna Burgess and one-time celebrity contestant Rumer Willis as two of her bridesmaids.
Nyle DiMarco and Candace Cameron Bure were guests to the couple’s big day — Candace and Maks even shared a dance during the reception!
Peta was walked down the aisle by her father, and her dress was an ivory ball gown fit for a princess.
Maksim chose a stylish white jacket for his wedding ensemble — doesn’t he look so handsome?
After the wedding, the couple spent some time outside with their guests before moving indoors for the reception.
For their first dance, they didn’t show off like you might think a couple of people famous for their dancing skills would. Instead, they kept things simple.
Simple and adorable.
Speaking of adorable, Maks actually sang to Peta at one point.
Can you even handle how precious this whole thing sounds?
At one point during the reception, Peta left to change into her second gown of the night: a feathered dress that looked to be a bit easier to move around in.
It’s also worth noting that both Peta and Maks looked painfully happy in each and every photo from their wedding.
Sounds like a lovely day for lovely people, right?
It’s also pretty special since the wedding comes six months, nearly to the day, after they gave birth to their first child, a boy named Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy.
It was nearly a year before Shai was born that his parents got engaged, too — Maksim proposed to Peta in December of 2015.
There’s no word on if little Shai had a role in the wedding, nor are there any photos of him, but still, it all sounds very cute.
Congrats to the happy couple!

We Have So Many Questions About These PETA Posters
PETA has already tried to tell you that eating meat will shrink your son"s penis.
But the animal rights organization is now here to explain why eating meat will also have a negative effect on your sex life.
Well… not "explain," really.
Instead, the organization has released a number of new posters that feature two lovers in bed with a farm animal.
What do these have to do with the argument that eating large quantities of red meat can lead to inflammation… which can, conceivably, produce erectile dysfunction?
That"s what social media users want to know.

Peta Murgatroyd & Maksim Chmerkovskiy Welcome First Child
There’s a new addition to the Dancing With the Stars family!
Yes, Peta Murgatroyd has given birth to her first child with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
30-year-old Murgatroyd gave birth in the early hours of January, 4, 2017.
Chmerkovskiy took to Twitter to announce the news to his followers, as well as the baby name.
“Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy 01/04/17 5:34am,” the dancing pro Tweeted.
Based on how quickly the baby daddy took to Twitter, it’s clear he is a proud father and is ecstatic about what the future holds for himself and his family.
This is one of the best moments of his life, so it’s only natural that he would opt to share it with his fans.
The news was later confirmed via a spokesperson for the couple to US Weekly.
“We can confirm that Peta and Maks have had their baby boy, Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy, born on Wednesday, January 4th at 5:34 a.m. Per the couple, ‘This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!"”
Considering Chmerkovskiy already took to Twitter to confirm the news, the statement was not needed, but at least we know his Twitter has not been hacked.
That seems to be happening to celebrities all too often these days.
It’s getting pretty ridiculous.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy were dating off and on from 2012, but they solidified their relationship in December 2015 when they got engaged and are now planning to marry in July.
Both Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy have been staples on Dancing with the Stars over the years, with both of them up there as some of the best dancers on the show.
Chmerkovskiy most recently partnered with Amber Rose to try and help her win the competition, but she did not make it very far.
We would like to extend our congratulations to the new parents.
Will their child follow suit and become a dancing phenomenon, just like his parents?

Peta Murgatroyd on Deaf Dancing With The Stars Partner Nyle DiMarco: "I Had My Doubts"
On May 23rd, the won the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy, but that doesn"t mean that Dancing With The Stars duo Peta Murgatroyd and Nyle DiMarco were always 100% positive they would emerge victorious.
In fact, Murgatroyd though the complete opposite when she learned she was going to be paired up with the deaf winner of America"s Next Top Model.
Murgatroyd, who hails from Perth, Australia, explained to the morning show that DiMarco comes from a family that has four generations of deaf members, and that he himself is 100% deaf.
"It was pretty challenging," the pro dancer told Australia"s Today show via satellite on March 27th.
"You know, when I first met him, I had to sit down and really strategise as to how I was going to get through the competition."
"I definitely had my doubts."
Murgatroyd explained how she not only got DiMarco to feel the rhythm, but she created an experiment that allowed viewers to understand what DiMarco experiences every week.
"We did do the silent dance, it was the paso doble. We cut the music for about four counts of eight," she explained. You know, I did that because I wanted to show America- and the world – what it"s like being in his position every Monday night.
It was scary, it was haunting, and people actually understood after that what he was going through and how crazy it is. He has this [built-in] rhythm in his body. And I still, to this day, don"t know how he did it.
"We got through it with little scratches on his back to make him faster, we had pulls and pushes.
"It turned out great," she told the anchors.
"I mean, he did so well every single week and he just proved to people that anybody can dance and anybody can do this competition."

Peta Murgatroyd just took home the Season 22 Mirror Ball title with Nyle DiMarco on Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars results show.
But she has even bigger news to celebrate today …
Peta and her fiance, former Dancing With the Stars mainstay Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are expecting their first child together, Us confirms.
It’s a ballroom baby!
Murgatroyd, 29, and Chmerkovskiy, 36, got engaged in December 2015 when the Ukraine native got down on one knee on stage in Miami.
“I’m in love with you and I want to be in love with you for the rest of my life,” he said during a performance of Sway at the Olympia Theater.
“Will you marry me?”
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy dated for 10 months in 2012 and 2013, then broke it off before they rekindled the romance in early 2015.
This winter, she gushed over him, “I’ve always said he has the most incredible generosity. He wants to take care of everybody that he knows.”
“He has an incredible sense of humor when you get to see it,” she said. “I think that his bad-boy image is slowly kind of drifting away.”
“That harsh Maksim image. He is the biggest teddy bear you’ll ever meet underneath that Ukrainian look. I just love him,” Peta continued.
“Everything about him.”
“He’s just a great man.”
Murgatroyd alluded earlier this year that she and her partner were ready for kids – two or three, to be exact, should they be so blessed.
The Dancing With the Stars standout added: “[Maks is] somebody that I’ve always seen as being a great father and a great husband.”
Looks like he’s on the road to becoming both now, with no turning back! Congratulations to the pair and all the celebs expecting in 2016!
