Wilmer Valderrama: Cast on NCIS Season 14!

For over six years, Wilmer Valderrama was one half of one of the most popular couples in Hollywood.

Now, he’s set to be one cast member on the most popular show on television.

Earlier this month, Valderamma and Demi Lovato stunned the world when they announced the end of their lengthy relationship.

Both sides confirmed the break-up via a statement on social media, saying they are “better off as best friends.”

But while the actor’s personal life has made news for several months now, the Internet is now buzzing over a professional decision:

Wilmer Valderrama will be a series regular on NCIS Season 14.

Fresh off a five-episode arc on Grey’s Anatomy Season 12, Valderrama will come on board network television’s highest-rated series as a “once grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. Many agents don’t know he’s still on the job or that he’s even alive,” according to a press release.

Now, the character is “back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon.”

Via statement, executive producer Gary Glasberg said the role will permit Valderrama to “flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents.

“Fans are going to see him like they’ve never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We’re thrilled he’s coming aboard.”

NCIS just lost long-time star Michael Weatherly, who concluded his 13-year run on the show this past May.

We’ve also learned that British actor Duane Henry and 24 alum Sarah Clarke will recur on the drama this fall.

Previous to joining NCIS and to appearing on Grey’s Anatomy, Valderrama stopped by such shows as Minority Report, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Suburgatory.

He’s very handsome.

Michael Weatherly Bids Hilarious, Heartfelt Farewell to NCIS

CBS viewers will not be without Michael Weatherly for very long.

Yes, the actor departed his role of Tony on NCIS Season 13 Episode 24, as the Special Agent learned that Ziva was dead and that he was a father and felt an understandable need to step away.

But Weatherly will star on the new drama Bull this fall… which just so happens to also be scheduled for Tuesday nights on CBS.

Still, after 13 years as Tony, Weatherly felt a need to thank fans personally for their passion and dedication, recording a hilarious video with the network in order to get his points across.

"I have experienced great joy, great sadness, great dislocation, confusion, anger and sometimes hunger on the set of NCIS," Weatherly says in the video below.

"But the one thing I"ve never felt was bored or that there was nobody watching because you have made this show the number one show in the world."

Mixing humor with true sentiment, the actor added:

“I want to say that wherever I go, whatever men’s room or restaurant or airport I find myself in, you’re there, too… you’re with me.

“Sometimes it’s appropriate, sometimes it’s not appropriate at all, but I always love it because I am the number one fan of NCIS. I know you guys share that, but I just want you to know that I have priority because I got there first.

"So I don’t want to get competitive about it, and I appreciate that you’re also fans, but I’m the first fan."

Along with this video, Weatherly shared a series of Tweets reaffirming his love for the NCIS fandom.

He also shared pictures from a special finale-night reunion with former on-screen love Cote de Pablo, who played Ziva and who left the show a couple years ago.

Michael Weatherly Exits NCIS: How Did Tony Say Goodbye?

Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has left the building.

Going into NCIS Season 13 Episode 24, fans of television’s highest-rated series know that Michael Weatherly would be saying goodbye.

They just had no idea how Tony would be written out.

No way he’d be killed off, right?

Right. But that doesn’t mean death didn’t play a key role on the NCIS Season 13 finale.

The major event that led to Tony’s departure was the discovery that Ziva was killed in a bombing at her farmhouse in Israel.

“Life rarely ends the way we imagine,” Ducky said as the rest of the NCIS team mourned their former colleague back at the office.

From there, though, Tony was in for another surprise: Ziva had a daughter named Tali, who was hand-delivered to the U.S. by Israel officials. Because Tony is her father.

With advice from his father in hand (Robert Wagner reprised the role and told his son to take some time for an emotional breather), Tony told Gibbs that he had to resign his post.

“I’m everything to that little girl now,” DiNozzo his boss. “And I’ve never been anybody’s everything before.”

This led to a number of emotional goodbyes with his colleagues, from McGree to Bishop to Abby, the latter of whom told Tony:

“I know how much Ziva really loved you. I know. She told me.”

Then there was the big farewell. It took place in Gibbs’ basement.

“That’s it,” Tony said. “I’m done now.”

To which Gibbs replied: “You gotta do whatcha gotta do.”

A rare hug followed… and it just happened to get very dusty in our living room around this same time.

What did you think of Tony’s goodbye? What it everything you could have hoped for? Can you believe Ziva is dead?!?

Go ahead and watch NCIS online via the above video if you need to catch up and then sound off. What an emotional hour of television!

Michelle Obama on NCIS: First Look!

The First Lady will soon appear on The First Drama of Network Television.

CBS has confirmed that none other than Michelle Obama will appear on an upcoming episode of NCIS Season 13, coming on board the most-watched series on television in a role she knows very well…

… herself.

Fans of the Mark Harmon-anchored drama can look forward to this special guest star on the show’s May 3 installment.

It will air in conjunction with “Joining Forces,” a nationwide initiative supporting service members, veterans, their families and loved ones.

“Filming inside the White House was a dream come true for the NCIS cast and crew,” NCIS boss producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement announcing Mrs. Obama’s appearance.

He added:

“It was such a pleasure working with First Lady Michelle Obama and it’s our honor to support the Joining Forces initiative and the military families that benefit from it.”

The First Lady, of course, is no stranger to the small screen.

She has cracked us up multiple times on television; once by dancing with Jimmy Fallon:

And another time by… well… by doing this with Jimmy Fallon:

She has also charmed audiences of Project Runway: Junior, Nashville and the Disney Channel’s Jessie over the years.

On the NCIS episode in question, titled “Homefront,” Obama will welcome agent Harmon’s beloved character of Gibbs and the wife of a Marine to the White House for a “Joining Forces” round table with military spouses.

(Interesting tidbit: The extras in the episode were actual military spouses.)

Joining Forces was launched by Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill Biden in 2011.

It is an inspiring initiative that calls on all American citizens to rally around service members, veterans and their loved ones to support them through wellness, education and employment opportunities.

It doesn’t get much more important than that, does it?

NOTE: You can always visit our friends at TV Fanatic to watch NCIS online in order to catch Mrs. Obama’s appearance… or any episode of the smash hit series.

NCIS is about to lose another series regular.

Two years after Cote de Pablo exited the highest-rated show on network television, TV Line has confirmed that Michael Weatherly will depart the series after 13 seasons.

The actor will wrap up his run as Special Agent Tony DiNozzo this May.

“After 13 years on NCIS, Michael Weatherly is leaving the show at the end of this season,” reads a statement from CBS.

“He is a valued part of the CBS family, and the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as ‘Very’ Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS what it is today – the No. 1 drama in the world.”

The statement concluded:

“We thank Michael for all of his contributions to this successful franchise and look forward to continuing to develop projects him as part of our ongoing development deal.”

Upon seeing the news went public, Weatherly jumped on Twitter and wrote:

“THANK YOU, it’s been a fantastic ride!”

NCIS Season 13 Episode 2 Recap: Too Close to the Case?

Robert Knepper guest-starred on NCIS Season 13 Episode 2, coming on board TV’s highest-rated show as as Benson Long, an elusive drug-runner who has opened up shop near Quantico.

He has been DEA Agent Luis Mitchell’s main target for years.

Mitchell turns to Gibbs and company after one of his new recruits, Sergeant Cole Gleason, misses a meeting in regard to Long, with Gibbs agreeing because he “doesn’t forget his debts.”

It’s pretty clear he has some kind of connection to Mitchell.

Mitchell and Gibbs end up taking in Fisher Hyland, an associate of Long’s. He tells them about a gathering where drug dealers get rid of their product quickly. This seems like an ideal place to dump a body due to the influx of fingerprints in the area.

Gibbs benches Tony as they go to investigate, telling his subordinate to comb through DEA files at his desk.

This is how he discovers that Mitch is the son of the NIS agent who died protecting Gibbs and his daughter and this is why he tells Gibbs not to pursue the case, fearing that Gibbs would be willing to die in order to save Mitch.

But Gibbs isn’t hearing any of that.

Later on, another discovery, this one made by Bishop:

Long was the one running things in Pendleton back in the day; Benson was his boss. Tony confronts Gibbs with this information, accusing him and Mitch of seeking revenge for their families.

In the end, with Long cornered and Mitch’s gun drawn on him, Gibbs actually talks his friend out of shooting their nemesis, leading Tony and McGee to make the arrest.

We then go out to California, where – after joining Mitch in spreading his father’s ashes – Gibbs pays a visit to what was once his home, the one he shared with his family.

Has he checked out? Per an earlier conversation, does he want Tony to take over as boss? Will Gibbs ever be the same?

These are the questions we’ll be pondering as we head into NCIS Season 13 Episode 3 next week.

Until then, we encourage readers to visit our friends at TV Fanatic and watch NCIS online in order to stay fresh.
