Sally Field Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Burt Reynolds
Hollywood has lost a legend.
And Sally Field has lost a true love.
As previously reported, Burt Reynolds died on Thursday of a heart attack, passing away at his home in Jupiter, Florida of a heart attack.
The legendary actor was 82 years old.
Upon learning of his death, a number of entertainment industry heavyweights have expressed their sympathy and their sorrow (scroll down), but one name stands out from all the rest right now.
Sally Field met Reyonds on the set of the 1977 smash hit comedy, Smokey and the Bandit.
The actress and the actor would date for five years… while also co-starring in several more films, including Smokey and the Bandit II, The End and Hooper.
Although they split for good in 1982, Reynolds recounted the romance over 30 years later in an interview with Vanity Fair, referring to Field as “the love of my life.”
And it’s clear now that Reyonds was never far from the two-time Oscar winner’s heart, either.
“There are times in your life that are so indelible, they never fade away,” Field said in a statement this afternoon, adding of Reynolds:
“They stay alive, even forty years later. My years with Burt never leave my mind. He will be in my history and my heart, for as long as I live. Rest, Buddy.”
Reynolds’ manager, Erik Kritzer, confirmed the passing of this big screen icon, while his niece, Nancy Lee Hess, said the following on Thursday:
“My uncle was not just a movie icon; he was a generous, passionate and sensitive man who was dedicated to his family, friends, fans and acting students.
“He has had health issues, however, this was totally unexpected. He was tough. Anyone who breaks their tailbone on a river and finishes the movie is tough. And that’s who he was.
“My uncle was looking forward to working with Quentin Tarantino (in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and the amazing cast that was assembled.”
In recent years, Reynolds used a cane while out in public. His last appearance in front of a big crowd took place at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.
In the wake of his passing, nearly everyone across Hollywood chimed in with a story about Reynolds or with a few thoughts about the highly-respected actor. To wit:
Arnold Schwarzenegger: Burt Reynolds was one of my heroes. He was a trailblazer. He showed the way to transition from being an athlete to being the highest paid actor, and he always inspired me. He also had a great sense of humor – check out his Tonight Show clips. My thoughts are with his family.

Goldie Hawn: There is only One Burt Reynolds. One! I loved our time our laughs and fun. Now your angels will giggle at your silly jokes as they hold you lightly as you rest dear one.

Paul Wesley: Burt Reynolds was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever worked with. He took me under his wing when I was first starting out as an actor and offered friendship, advice and guidance. I’ll never forget how much that meant to me.
Michael Chiklis: I owe my career, at least in part, to the great Burt Reynolds. Heartbroken to learn of his passing. He was one of a kind. A fun loving, charismatic talent who did many good deeds quietly, without personal expectation but rather out of the kindness of his extraordinary heart. RIP.

Tyler Baltierra Pens Candid, Heartfelt, Awe-Inspiring Tribute to Catelynn Lowell
Tyler Baltierra recently shared the story of his epic weight loss.
And it’s very impressive, don’t get us wrong.
But the Teen Mom OG veteran has impressed us even more with a tribute to wife Catelynn that makes it clear: He never, ever, ever wants to lose her.
With rumors of a divorce constantly swirling around Tyler and Catelynn, the former took to Instagram this week and poured his svelte heart out for all to see and swoon over.
“Life is really simple if you think about it,” wrote Tyler to kick off a lengthy caption, which he attached to the photo above, prior to adding in far more detail:
“If you love something … fight for it. Sacrifice for it. Love it so much that it makes you want to love yourself in a way you never knew you were even capable of loving.
Continued Baltierra, who fans were convinced as recently last month was going to leave Catelynn:
“It’s been 13 years together & that’s not because of luck or us not arguing or not getting upset with one another …
“That’s because everyday, we choose to love each other unconditionally, with all the flaws & all the baggage our past lives has given us.”
We love that perspective.
As they said, it’s not about finding someone who is perfect, right? It’s about finding someone who is perfect for YOU.
For his part, Tyler has always been very open about his struggles with mental health, specifically his bipolar order diagnosis.
Anyway. He wasn’t done here gushing over his wife.
“We choose to listen to one another & be heard by one another,” the MTV personality wrote, adding:
“We choose to confront our issues head on & fix them together. We choose to nurture our spiritual bond together & share lives ups and downs with one another.
“We are lovers in this life, so we can be soulmates in our afterlife.”
Wow. That’s some profound stuff right there, Ty.
Baltierra and Lowell got married in August of 2015.
They are the parents to two kids, one of whom they gave up for adoption back when they were stars on 16 & Pregnant.
Overall, the couple’s ups and downs have been documented at length on Teen Mom OG over the years, most notably Lowell’s miscarriage last year that led her to enter a treatment facility due to sucidal thoughts.
“You Are Beautiful. You Are Worthy,” Tyler wrote to Catelynn in this mini online essay.
“You Are Strong. You Are Safe … & I love you more than this realm will allow me to express in all my desired ways.”
Despite all the negative chatter surrounding her and her husband, Catelynn has always insisted than their relationship was stable.
“Tyler and I are not getting a divorce. Couples go through ups and downs. That’s normal life,” Lowell told Us Weekly in May, concluding at the time:
“We are a solid couple that will work through anything life throws at us.”
As of this writing, Tyler’s tribute to Catelynn has been Liked over 186,000 times. People are clearly affected by his candor.
Which is great and everything.
But we’re guessing there’s only one person out there he cares about reading it and believing every word of it.

Paris Jackson Mourns Joe Jackson in Heartfelt Farewell Message
It’s the end of an era. Joe Jackson passed away at 89 after a battle with cancer.
His granddaughter, Paris Jackson, was with him until the end, and has written up a powerful farewell message that eulogizes her late grandfather.
Paris’ post begins: “RIP The HAWK. Joseph Jackson.”
Paris’ emotional post continues: “spending those last few moments with you were everything.”
Not everyone has the honor of being with a loved one in their final moments.
Paris continues, saying: “Being able to tell you everything i needed to tell you before saying goodbye was such a blessing.”
Again, that is a rare opportunity for loved ones. Painful, but important.
“Everyone that came to visit you,” Paris says. “Came with love, respect, and so much pride in their hearts for you.”
That is no surprise. The Jackson family is American royalty.
Paris writes that all are “proud of you, proud to be your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.”
She adds that they are all “proud to have your strength and share the dynasty you spent your life creating, and proud to be a Jackson.”
“You,” Paris writes. “Are the first true Jackson.”
That makes sense.
Paris writes that Joe is “the legend that started it all. None of us would be anywhere near where we’re at if it weren’t for you.”
That is difficult to dispute.
“You are the strongest man i know,” Paris continues. “Your life’s work will go down in history, as will you, to be known as one of the greatest patriarchs to ever live.”
That is high praise from Paris, who is not usually the type to praise patriarchs.
“i will cherish every moment with you til the day i die,” Paris says. “Especially our last moments.”
Of course.
Paris says that “being able to hold your hand, lay with you and cuddle you, give you kisses all over your cheeks and forehead, meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”
Paris writes that she also treasured “quoting advice you gave me when i was a little kid and seeing your eyes light up.”
That really strikes a chord with a lot of grandchildren who have had close and lifelong relationships with their grandparents.
Paris adds that she liked “sharing stories my dad used to tell me about you, telling a joke and hearing you laugh for the last time.”
It’s a bittersweet sort of joy.
“My heart is full,” Paris writes. “Knowing we left each other in that way.”
Paris then says: “i made you promise me you’ll come visit me.”
In case you’re thinking gee, it’s a little late for that, Paris, she means that she is expecting a visit from his spirit.
“You agreed,” Paris adds. “And i’m going to hold you to it.”
Paris looks forward to seeing him, “and i promised you that we will keep telling your story, over and over. to never be forgotten.”
“My great grandchildren will know who joseph jackson is,” Paris announces.
Well, by the time that Paris even has grandchildren, let alone great-grandchildren, everyone will probably have hands-free access to all human knowledge in their minds without having to use a phone.
But we understand her meaning.
“i love you grandpa,” Paris says. “So so so much that words can’t describe. i have immense gratitude for you, and always will.”
Paris adds that: “we all feel that way. Thank you for everything. truly.”
Paris has some final words at the end of her heartfelt, beautiful post.
“Rest in peace and transition,” Paris says. “i’ll see you in my dreams very very soon.”
There’s no way of knowing whether or not Paris will share if she has a spiritual encounter with her deceased grandfather.
That sounds like a private affair to me.
Paris is a treasure, and we wish her the best as she and her family mourn this powerful loss.

Tyler Baltierra Reveals Mental Health Struggles In Heartfelt Message
It’s been a difficult year for Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.
Back in November, Catelynn checked into rehab to receive treatment for trauma and other emotional issues.
She revealed to fans that she had been coping with thoughts of suicide, and she went public with her struggle in hopes of removing the stigma surrounding mental illness and encouraging others to seek help.
Now, Catelynn’s husband, Tyler Baltierra, is following her lead by opening up about his own struggles with depression and anxiety.
In a heartfelt Instagram video posted last night, Baltierra revealed that he was experiencing a “bad day” and hoped
“Sometimes, you just don’t even really know what to say to your children. I don’t ever cry in front of [my daughter] Nova or anything. I don’t want her to feel any of that,” he explained in the video message.
“You have good days, and then you have bad days. And today is just a bad day.”
Tyler explained that he had doubts about sharing the video with his 2.2 million followers, but decided that he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to offer help and support to his fans.
“But, I know I’m not the only one feeling like this. So if you’re in that same boat as me, just hang in there and you’re not alone and talk to somebody,” he said at one point.
He further explained that he was posting about his own issues not to seek help, but to assure others that they’re not alone in struggling:
“I’m posting this because I think it’s important for people to not feel alone in their struggles. We’re humans, we’re allowed to have bad days, hard times & weak moments,” Tyler shared.
“Don’t be ashamed of what makes us humans special. You’re loved. You’re worthy.”
Tyler went on to say that he doesn’t expect all of his fans to understand his illness, but feels that if even one person is helped his efforts have been worthwhile:
“If I can at least connect with one person through this & let them know that they aren’t alone in their struggles. It will make being vulnerable worth it #KeepFighting #KeepTalkingMH,” he wrote on IG.
The hashtag refers to the social media effort to get young people talking about mental health in a therapeutic fashion.
As reality stars, Tyler and Catelynn will always face questions about whether they’ve truly earned their level of influence.
But no one can deny that they’re using their platform to try and make the world a better place.

Nelsan Ellis: Read This Heartfelt Tribute from Ex-True Blood Co-Star
As previously and tragically reported, Nelsan Ellis is dead at the age of 39.
The actor, best known for having played Lafayette Reynolds throughout the run of True Blood on HBO, died on Saturday due to complications from heart failure.
In response to this awful news, countless actors and actresses who worked with Ellis took to social media over the weekend to express their shock and condolences.
We’ve included many of their reactions in the slideshow below.
But Stephen Moyer has stood out for the extra considerate tribute he posted to Facebook on Sunday.
Moyer played lead vampire Bill Compton on the former HBO drama, starring opposite Ellis from the very first day of filming.
He shared a photo of the late star behind the scenes on his Facebook page yesterday, writing a lengthy caption along with the image.
“One of the first places we shot on the pilot of True Blood was Sam Merlotte’s Bar,” wrote Moyer, adding:
“The kitchen Suzuki Ingerslev built in Merlotte’s had a walk in freezer & working gas burners.
“It remained my favourite set throughout all 7 seasons – when shooting in Louisiana many months later she took us to the actual bar she had used as inspiration.
“It was almost as amazing as our Merlotte’s, but not quite – They didn’t have a Lafayette.”
Moyer then expounded in emotional fashion.
We can’t do his words justice and we want the actor to speak for himself… so we’ll just post Moyer’s Facebook tribute in full below and we’ll continue to hope that Ellis is resting in peace:
In the scene that was being shot that day, Lafayette, a male cross-dressing short order cook in the show, was expounding on his theory of men’s fear of the female anatomy.. specifically, the vagina.
‘I know every man whether straight, gay or George MotherFuckin’ Bush is afraid of the pussy.
I’m not sure I have ever seen, before or since, people crowd around a monitor at video village with their hands clapped to their mouths from shock, sheer laughter and wonder as the actor playing Lafayette jiggled and shook and humped the butchers block to get his point across.
it was completely original, funny, sardonic, risqué and brilliant.
That was Nelsan Ellis. All of the above.
I turned to Alan Ball when the scene was finished and whispered… ‘you can’t kill him!’ (Lafayette’s death at the of the first book is the cliffhanger that leads to Book 2… )
Nelsan Ellis was the only actor in the 7 years of True Blood whom Alan allowed to improvise. Actually, I’m going to take that back.
It wasn’t that Alan allowed him to do it, it was more that when Nelsan inhabited the world of Lafayette, he quite literally COULDN’T STOP himself. It was like he was possessed.
In actuality Nelsan was quiet, smart, thoughtful, warm and kind. A published playwright himself.
I think it would be fair to say that he taught all of us that intent and courage and fearlessness and freedom are the aspects of playing make-believe that spark the corners of the room where the dark is most impenetrable…
To shine a light on those corners within ourselves is the very reason we go back time and again to Movies, TV shows and Theatre. To see that spark ignited.
Nelsan had that electricity in an abundance I have rarely seen. I can’t believe he’s gone.
Ellis leaves behind a son, along with an array of awe-inspired former co-stars and friends.

Channing Tatum Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Daughter, Puts All Men to Shame
There are plenty of reasons to love Channing Tatum.
There’s his chiseled jawline. And his abdominal muscles. And those biceps.
And the way he so clearly loves and respects his wife.
Above all, however, there’s Tatum’s view on fatherhood, his overwhelming love for his daughter and the valuable life lessons he wants to pass along to little Everly.
The 37-year old recently wrote an essay for Cosmopolitan in which he thought back to his first meeting with Jenna Dewan Tatum and how he hopes their daughter inherits her mother’s attitude.
“In honor of the launch of Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas, my friends at Cosmo generously invited me to write something for you,” the actor explains to open his post.
He then brings the subject immediately to his four-year old at home:
“The more I thought about this, the more I thought about my daughter reading this article someday. I pictured her in her late teens or early 20s, hoping to explore and discover her sexuality and dreaming about finding true love.”
Continues Tatum, making us adore him more and more with each word:
“I tried to imagine the things I’d want her to read that would help her understand men and sex and partnership better, and at that moment, I realized a strange thing.
“I don’t want her looking to the outside world for answers.
“My highest hope for her is just that she has the fearlessness to always be her authentic self, no matter what she thinks men want her to be.
Channing met Jenna on the set of the film Step Up.
They’ve been together for over a decade.
And you never read a single scandalous story about these two, do you?
“I knew our connection was really powerful, but I wasn’t sure what our relationship was going to be,” Tatum says of first encountering his wife.
“Then one day, Jenna just blurted out that she knew exactly what she wanted in life and she didn’t have to look for it anymore because it was me. She had no idea what I’d say or how I’d react, but that was her truth.
“I remember feeling this incredible rush – it was the sexiest thing she’d ever done for me. I felt strength, because in that moment, she had accepted every part of me, the good and the bad.
“And I knew she wasn’t auditioning me or hoping I’d meet some set of expectations.”
Taum goes on to say it was this quality that made him fall for Jenna (who looks great naked).
“That radical authenticity of hers was what made me fall head over heels in love. Before I experienced it, I wouldn’t have known how to ask for it. Now I know it’s what I was always craving.
“And that’s what I want for my daughter – to be expectation-less with her love and not allow preconceived standards to affect her, to ask herself what she wants and feel empowered enough to act on it.”

“If there’s one thing that I think men wish women knew, it’s just that they alone are enough,” Channing writes, adding:
“When more women start to truly feel this power in themselves, the world will become so magical, it makes my head hurt.”
Tatum concludes by saying he’s grateful that women “are realizing that they no longer have to conform to certain standards of social and sexual behavior, and this changes what they need from men and the role of men in general.”
Why did he turn Magic Mike into a live show?
“Because I wanted to create a space where we could really explore these themes in a fun, provocative way,” he shares.
“I want women to feel what it’s like to exist in a world where men really listen to them, where they treat them like goddesses, and where they can feel comfortable and proud to express the full force of their sexual energy together.
“I want them to experience a place where they are much more than enough.”

Single College Girl Complains About Dorm Sex, Receives Heartfelt Apology
One’s freshman year of college can be a confusing, awkward and lonely time.
This is true across the board, for anyone…
… whether or not one’s dorm neighbor is practically shaking one’s walls with the loud screams and moans of her never-ending sex life.
For Jenna Levine, however, a 19-year old freshman at Syracuse, the combination of being single and being reminded of how her neighbor is anything BUT single recently became too much to handle.
Levine has gone viral after she simply had to do something about yet another rowdy intercourse romp taking place close to her room.
The student chose to alert her neighbor to this uncomfortable situation by shoving a note under her her fellow freshman’s dorm door that asked her to please “make it nasty at a lower volume.”
Levine then shared a picture of her plea on Twitter, along with the caption, “college is weird.”
This is what the kind request said in full:
Please have sex a little more quietly please. Some of us are trying to nap and not be reminded of how alone I am … feel free to make all the love you want.
Just please, make it nasty at a lower volume. Thank you!
Perfect, right? Perfect and also sort of heartbreaking.
Incredibly, Levine didn’t just get a response from the girl in Room 338.
She got an understanding, gentle, sympathetic response that made us think there’s hope in this world for compassion after all.
First, the apologetic note in reply came with a candy bar…
Second, it read as follows:
I’m so so incredibly sorry about that. I didn’t realize how loud I was being, and ya know, sometimes having loud sex is low key kinda hot but obviously at your cost, which I apologize so sincerely for.
I’m so so sorry, hope this hasn’t been occurring too often, and thanks so much for the incredible and hilarious card.
I will for sure try to keep it nasty at a significantly lower level. And hey, don’t worry, you’re not alone forever. The right person will come along when the time comes. I was single for 18 years.
Haha. Once again, I apologize so sincerely and deeply.
Amazing, right?!? Especially when you compare this exchange to similar types of exchanges in the past:
As you can see above, asking someone who lives nearby to bang a bit quieter does not always work out well.
It can lead to an hilarious exchange, sure, but this time it lead to a heartfelt exchange.
And, we’d like to think, a lifelong friendship. Or at least something these two can laugh about in the bathroom one day.

Michael Weatherly Bids Hilarious, Heartfelt Farewell to NCIS
CBS viewers will not be without Michael Weatherly for very long.
Yes, the actor departed his role of Tony on NCIS Season 13 Episode 24, as the Special Agent learned that Ziva was dead and that he was a father and felt an understandable need to step away.
But Weatherly will star on the new drama Bull this fall… which just so happens to also be scheduled for Tuesday nights on CBS.
Still, after 13 years as Tony, Weatherly felt a need to thank fans personally for their passion and dedication, recording a hilarious video with the network in order to get his points across.
"I have experienced great joy, great sadness, great dislocation, confusion, anger and sometimes hunger on the set of NCIS," Weatherly says in the video below.
"But the one thing I"ve never felt was bored or that there was nobody watching because you have made this show the number one show in the world."
Mixing humor with true sentiment, the actor added:
“I want to say that wherever I go, whatever men’s room or restaurant or airport I find myself in, you’re there, too… you’re with me.
“Sometimes it’s appropriate, sometimes it’s not appropriate at all, but I always love it because I am the number one fan of NCIS. I know you guys share that, but I just want you to know that I have priority because I got there first.
"So I don’t want to get competitive about it, and I appreciate that you’re also fans, but I’m the first fan."
Along with this video, Weatherly shared a series of Tweets reaffirming his love for the NCIS fandom.

Miranda Lambert Sends Heartfelt Message to Fans, Is Grateful for "Amazing Life"
Do not cry for Miranda Lambert, folks.
In response to the confirmation that her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, is dating Gwen Stefani, Lambert accepted the Country Music Award foe Best Female Vocalist on Wednesday night, admitting on stage that the timing was perfect.
“I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you,” Lambert confessed to millions of viewers.
A day later, after Shelton Tweeted that his life is rather awesome and things couldn’t be going better, Miranda took to her own social media account to give fans an update.
“‘Horse Power’….. I’m still floating around on a cloud from last night. Thank you so much @cma for celebrating country music in a big way and for letting me be part of it,” Lambert wrote as a caption to the above image.”
She continued:
“Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me. And my friends.
“I’m so grateful #inspired #gypsyvanner #nomakeuptillnextweek #musicismedicine #chrisstapleton #unicorn #ponyportrait.”
Lambert has remained open and honest with fans ever since splitting from Shelton this summer.

Gigi Hadid Stands Up To Body Shamers In Heartfelt Post Addressing Those Who Think She Doesn"t Have The Right Body Type To Model!
She’s sexy and she knows it!
With Paris Fashion Week on the horizon, Gigi Hadid took a stand against all of her body shamers — HUH?!? She has figure critics? — once and for all.
The 20-year-old supermodel took to Instagram and Twitter on Monday morning to defend her flawless figure, saying:
“No, I don’t think I have the same body type as the other models in shows. No, I don’t think I am the best at any given show. Yes, I want a unique walk but I also know I have to improve. No, I’m not the first or last model of my type in this industry. You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I’m a hard worker that’s confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for a change.”

It’s only natural to be affected by negative comments, even if you are walking down all the major runways. But Joe Jonas‘ love isn’t going to let that stop her!
“Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, they don’t make me want to say no to the designers that ask me to be in their shows, and they definitely don’t change the designers opinions of me. If they want me in their shows, I’m in it; if they don’t, I’m not. That’s just how it is and how it will be. If you don’t like it, don’t follow me, don’t watch me, cause I’m not going anywhere.”
