Kate Middleton: Motherhood is Tough! Even for Me!

Kate Middleton talked openly about parenthood this week, which can only mean one thing:

HOLY COW, THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE IS TOTALLY PREGNANT WITH HER THIRD CHILD AND WE KNEW IT THIS ENTIRE TIME AND THIS IS SO EXCITING OMG WE WONDER WHAT SHE AND WILLIAM WILL NAME HIM OR HER!!!!

Wait, what?

Middleton is not pregnant, despite ongoing rumors to the contrary?

The Duchess simply gave a speech at an event for Best Beginnings, which is a United Kingdom-based organization that centers on child healthcare?

And Middleton focused on the need to to raise awareness about maternal mental health challenges?

Oh. Okay then.

That’s actually pretty cool and inspiring and makes us like Middleton even more than before (if that’s possible), but it’s less exciting than her and Prince William announcing another child is on the way.m

“Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge,” Middleton told a rapt audience, adding:

“Even for me, who has support at home that most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother.

“It’s full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together.”

Coming from someone else, that may sound like a braggadocious statement.

Even I have difficulty with motherhood, people!

But she qualifies it pretty well.

She’s open and honest about having a lot of help with little George and Charlotte, but still admits that it’s never a breeze.

She may be a lot more like you and your friends than you previously realized.

The Duchess went on to discuss how many mothers out there are scared to ask for help due to pressure to be perfect at all times.

“It is right to talk about motherhood as a wonderful thing,” she said. “But we also need to talk about its stresses and strains. It’s okay not to find it easy, and asking for help should not be seen as a sign of weakness.”

It takes a village. It really does.

Overall, Middleton’s speech was part of a larger initiative from the Royal Family to de-stigmatize mental health.

Along with Prince William and Prince Harry, Kate founded Heads Together, a charity which aims to solve social challenges by bringing awareness to mental illness.

It’s something the public should focus on more, as opposed to alleged feuds between her and William.

And definitely opposed to the state of Middleton’s weight at the moment.

“If any of us caught a fever during pregnancy, we would seek advice and support from a doctor. Getting help with our mental health is no different,” Middleton said in her speech. “

She continued:

“Our children need us to look after ourselves and get the support we need.”

Amen!

Back in 2016, William sat down for a candid interview with Talk Vietnam and said fatherhood could also be a challenge.

“As the other parents in the room will testify, there’s wonderful highs and there’s wonderful lows,” he said, adding:

“It’s been quite a change for me, personally.

“I’ve struggled at times, the alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.”

The struggle is real, guys. For everyone.

NFL Stars Read Mean Tweets, Try to Act All Tough

It may be easy for Russell Wilson to bounce back up from a hard hit he takes on the football field.

But what about a hard hit he takes within the Twittersphere?

On Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Wilson and a handful of other NFL stars stepped up and sucked it up for the show"s latest version of Mean Tweets.

In anticipation of Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons this Sunday, Wilson, Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr. and others became the latest celebrities to publicly read some harsh statements made about them online.

To wit:

"Odell Beckham Jr transitioned from an exciting new rookie to an extremely lame looking d**khead in an alarmingly short amount of time," read the New York Giants controversial wide receiver.

These athletes are making millions of dollars per year to play a game and Wilson can see Ciara nude any time he wants.

So it"s hard to have too much sympathy for them.

But still. Consider the following diss:

“I’m tired of people saying Russell Wilson is too short to play quarterback. He’s ugly, too.”

That"s just mean, people!

What did strangers have to say about Miller? About Tony Romo?

Nick Viall: I Found Love on The Bachelor ... But it Was Tough!

For Nick Viall, it looks like the fourth time really was the charm. You don’t need The Bachelor spoilers to tell you that either: He’s saying it!

The Bachelor star says he did indeed find love on the show this season, which premieres tonight after a Prelude-to-Nick special Sunday.

Nick, of course, has endured rejection on The Bachelorette twice (Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe) and Bachelor in Paradise (Amanda Stanton).

On the flip side, he’s gotten laid a lot … but that’s a subject for another time. And the slideshow appearing at the bottom of this article.

Anyway, this time it worked out.

“I definitely found love,” the star of The Bachelor tells Us, though “I don’t think there was an easy decision I made throughout the entire process.”

The native Waukesha, Wisconsin (now based in Los Angeles, via Chicago), admits there were “certainly some nerves and fears” involved.”

“But I’m not someone who tends to look back. And I’ve always been one to put myself out there and be vulnerable,” he says.

Was he confident that he’d find love this year?

“I think a lot of people go into The Bachelor assuming it’s going to work out, but I went in knowing there are no guarantees,” he says.

Did his famous exes offer any advice?

“Andi did reach out – a simple text – to wish me luck … It was a very gracious text, but certainly no advice was given and none was asked.”

“I haven’t had any contact with Kaitlyn.”

Nick says he has “a fair share of friends in Bachelor Nation,” and like him, “they’ve all talked about how difficult this process can be.”

Reflecting on the first night – which we’ll see this evening – and “throughout the season, I thought, Yep, they were right. It can be taxing.”

As for being in the proverbial driver’s seat this time, he says, “I suppose it’s better, but it’s one of those ‘the grass is always greener’ things.”

“I’m a one-woman guy, so dating multiple women was hard. I wasn’t used to it and I don’t know if I’ll ever want to be used to it.”

We won’t get any confirmation from the man himself as to who makes Nick Viall’s final four, final three or final rose ceremony in March.

He will say this, though:

“I’ve always been attracted to women with strong personalities and confidence; women who are intelligent and willing to be my partner.”

“I’m a big personality, and I push back a lot with people I respect and trust. I want someone to be comfortable enough with me to do that.”

“I want to be with a woman who feels empowered,” he says, and in that sense, among others, he’s a different kind of Bachelor.

“Me being the Bachelor was an unconventional choice, and I think relative to my peers in the past, I’m unconventional,” says Nick.

“I follow my heart and do what I think is best, regardless of the majority opinion,” he adds, and certainly that’s a tough point to dispute.

Viall has become a controversial figure of sorts over the past few years on the franchise, in part for reasons out of his control.

Going up against Josh Murray and Shawn Booth, he was not the consensus fan pick for either star of The Bachelorette.

His willingness to have, and talk about, sexual exploits with either woman rubbed some fans of the show the wrong way, too.

Still, he got the nod for a reason, and love him or hate him, we’ll all watch The Bachelor online to see how it all plays out.
