Donald Trump Told Veterans" Widow "He Knew What He Signed Up For," Senator Claims

On Monday, President Donald Trump hosted a press conference in the White House Rose Garden that was bizarre even by the currnent administration’s incredibly lofty standards of absurdity.

For one thing, Trump responded to sexual assault allegations against him by barking his “fake news” mantra at the assembled media.

Of course, that’s the president’s standard response to accusations and criticism.

What followed, however, no one could have predicted, and no, we’re not talking about the fact that Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell chose to hold hands as they left the dais.

In one of the more bizarre and outlandish lies of his presidency, Trump alleged that other previous presidents did not contact the widows of fallen servicemen, as he himself had.

“If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls,” Trump told the press.

“A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate.”

Of course, hundreds of military widows have since come forward to refute that claim, affirming that they did indeed receive phone calls from President Obama after their husbands were killed.

In the wake of an ambush from ISIS-affiliated forces in Niger that left four dead, it seems Trump did indeed contact the widow of at least one of the fallen, but far from offering comfort, it seems his remarks only deepened her suffering.

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-FL) says she was present when Trump contacted the widow of La David Johnson, a Green Beret who was killed in the attack.

Her account of Trump’s conversation with Myeshia Johnson is genuinely appalling:

“Basically he said, ‘Well, I guess he knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt,"” Wilson told Don Lemon on CNN last night.

Naturally, Trump was quick to tweet his incendiary response to the allegation:

“Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!”

“I have proof, too: this man is a sick man,” Wilson responded on CNN this morning.

She added that Johnson’s widow “broke down” after her call with Trump.

“When she actually hung up the phone she looked and said, ‘He didn’t even know his name,"” Wilson says of her time in the Johnson home.

Myeshia Johnson has yet to speak publicly about the incident, and the president has yet to offer the “proof” he promised in his tweet.

Big Brother: Are Veterans Returning for Season 19?

Big Brother is a summer staple that puts a group of individuals in a house for the summer as they backstab their way to the top spot.

The CBS reality series has a knack for bringing back past contestants for another shot at the $ 500,000 prize. Last season, Nicole Franzel, James Huling, Frank Eudy and Da’Vonne Rogers made their way back into the house.

Nicole fought her way to the end and became the first female to compete against a male at final two and emerge victoriously.

Her return, however, did not go down well with fans. On her original season, she became Big Brother royalty, but many felt like she was acting cocky because she had been through the experience once before.

Also, she wound up in another showmance, and many speculated whether that’s what helped her get far in the game.

Big Brother 18 is widely regarded as one of the worst seasons of the series, with many putting it down to the casting. There have been polls across the internet with many fans claiming they want an all-new cast this year.

Fans were recently pissed when a supposed leak confirmed that Brittany Martinez, Victor Arroyo, Ashley Locco, GinaMarie Zimmerman, and Audrey Middleton would be returning for another chance in the game.

Some of you may remember Victor Arroyo from Big Brother 18. He was the dude who got three chances in one season. The reason? He was evicted three times in total and won two competitions that allowed him to return.

He was a competition beast. Would it really be fair to give him another shot? Not really. If the show did, indeed, bring GinaMarie and Audrey back, it would be evident the producers are looking for some controversy to kick off the season.

You will probably recall GinaMarie making racist comments during her stint in the house, which ultimately cost the blonde her job.

Audrey, on the other hand, seemed to be paranoid with every houseguest — even those in her alliance. We get it, the house is filled with uncertainty, but if you don’t trust your alliance, why be in the house?

The others on the list never made much of an impact with fans, so the chances of the list being fake are very high.

With the new season set to debut June 28, fans have been questioning who the heck is going to be part of the cast, and it’s evident most do not want past houseguests to appear.

The cast should be confirmed any day now, but most fans are likely checking non-stop to ensure no returning cast members are part of the new edition.

What do you think?

Do you want an all-new cast?

Sound off below!

Khloe Kardashian Under Fire for Offensive Veteran"s Day Photo

You’ll never believe this, but Khloe Kardashian posted a photo on social media, it was dumb and vain and pointless, and people got offended.

Oh, what’s that? You have no problem at all believing it?

Eh, well.

That’s the photo in question. Take a good, hard look. See anything inappropriate yet?

OK, see, Khloe posted the photo late on Friday, as a sort of tribute to Veteran’s Day.

“Never too late for a late post,” she wrote. “Jacked his jacket.”

So Khloe put on a bedazzled Army shirt, Tristan Thompson’s camouflage jacket, and decided it was a fitting way to publicly remember Veteran’s Day.

Oh, Khloe

Not surprisingly, many people felt the need to express their outrage over Khloe’s disrespectfulness.

Wow haha take that pt shirt off you’re not in the armed forces! Smh

Put some pants on. You look ridiculous. No class whatsoever.

Instead of wearing the army shirt just to wear why don’t you join or show some appreciation the fact that women and men have served this country just so you could wear their shirts and say “it’s his jacket” how about “happy Veteran’s Day”

What a disgrace. Defacing government property. Take that shirt off, or join the army. HA! Who am I kidding, just take the shirt off.

You didn’t earn that sh-t. You shouldn’t wear it.

Pt shirts are meant to be worn by those who have earned it. It’s not a fashion statement.

Can you and your family stop disrespecting the army by wearing our pt shirt. We’d appreciate it a lot…. -sincerely every army soldier in America.

Some people may see this as cute, I see it as offensive. That shirt if part of a uniform for those who risk their lives.

So disrespectful to those who fought the fight. Wtf is wrong with you? Trash at its finest.

Khloe caught wind of all the hate — it must not have been that hard, all the comments on the photo were from people who were offended or people who thought she Photoshopped her thigh.

(Or they’re criticizing her for flaunting her relationship with Tristan Thompson when she “stole” him away from Jordy Craig, the woman who’s pregnant with his baby, but that’s neither here nor there.)

She posted this goofy photo:

And added the caption “Good American. Y’all are funny. Always remember, Happy hoes ain’t hatin and hatin hoes ain’t happy!”

So that’s cute. Instead of giving an intelligent, thoughtful response to people who were offended over something you did, just call them a bunch of “hatin hoes.”

That’ll do the trick.
