Ashley Benson Apologizes for Offensive Lion Costume

Ashley Benson learned an important lesson this week:

It’s one thing to make fun of Amanda Bynes. It’s another thing to make fun of a dead lion.

The Pretty Little Liars star came under major fire on Tuesday after sharing a photo of her proposed Halloween costume, which featured the young actress dressed as Cecil the Lion.

Yes, the same Cecil the Lion who was hunted down and killed by a dentist in Africa this summer, despite his status as a protected species.

Following backlash from those who don’t believe one ought to essentially wear an animal corpse as a costume, Benson wrote the following on Instagram yesterday:

“Yesterday’s post was in poor taste and I absolutely regret all of the hurt that photo caused.

“The caption that was posted was incorrect and my costume was not Cecil the Lion, when I saw that, I contacted my management who handled the post and had it immediately changed.

“I recognize that I am responsible for everything posted on my social accounts and this was an unfortunate oversight.

“I am a supporter of Animal conservation and I will be donating all the proceeds of this deal to the World Wildlife Fund. I love you all and I apologize if I let you down.”

We’re not sure if we’re buying the fact that Benson was not dressing as Cecil, but just as a regular lion.

But hey. She has no real history of controversy and, as you can see below, plenty of celebrities have donned far more offensive Halloween costumes over the years:

Kylie Jenner Does Caitlyn Jenner"s Lipstick, Declares Herself "Lip Expert"

If anyone knows lips, it’s Kylie Jenner.

In fact, these days, Kylie’s lips might be the most famous in the world, and the girl has a special talent for bringing attention to her famous pout.

Earlier this week, Kylie wore blue lipstick in honor of World Bullying Prevention Day – but apparently that wasn’t enough.

Her anti-bullying campaign was inspired in part by the harassment endured by Caitlyn Jenner after she debuted her new identity to the world.

So it makes sense that she’d want Caitlyn to get down with the cause.

“I think you need to wear blue lips right now,” Kylie tells Caitlyn in the above video.

Cait agrees, but she’s clearly concerned about the outcome.

“Are you good at putting it on someone else?” Caitlyn asks, as Kylie gives her the Smurf-mouth look.

“Yes! I’m a lip expert,” an annoyed Kylie replies. No arguing with that.

Naturally, the clip ends with an ad for Kylie’s new app, but at least she’s still putting some stuff on her Instagram page for free.

Of course, the best thing about this clip isn’t the image of Kylie and Caitlyn rocking matching cobalt lips, but the fact that these two are bringing attention to a worthy cause.

It’s also nice to see that the easy rapport between Kylie and Caitlyn hasn’t changed a bit.

Leah Messer, Miranda Patterson GO AT IT on Teen Mom 2 Reunion!

Corey Simms’ wife Miranda Patterson has had it up to here with his ex-wife Leah Messer, and tensions boiled over on last night’s Teen Mom 2 reunion.

The pregnant Patterson exploded at her subtitle-prone husband’s troubled ex-wife, and for her part, Leah accused Corey of cheating on Miranda.

With whom? Well, the implication was clear.

Backing up for a moment, Simms and Patterson have been battling hard for custody of his five-year-old twin daughters with Messer, Ali and Aleeah.

It’s a situation that’s taken a toll on all three.

Given Leah’s countless personal problems – Messer spent part of the summer in rehab for a prescription pill problem – Simms has had reason to worry.

In a heated conversation on Teen Mom 2 Season 6 Episode 14, Leah confronted Miranda about never talking to her when they exchange the kids.

“What do you need me to get out of the truck for? To ask you how your day was Leah? How was your day?” Patterson asks her rival sarcastically.

Safe to say they are not friends.

“The attitude you give me, that’s not okay,” Messer responds, calmly (for the moment). “That’s not the kind of relationship I ever wanted with you.”

“You disrespect me!” Patterson shouted back at Leah, getting more fired up. “I really don’t need the stress, okay? I don’t need your bulls–t stress!”

Dr. Drew Pinsky, on hand to moderate this, asked Patterson why she seems so “hostile,” and what Messer ever did to warrant this extreme anger.

“We are fed up!” she says, adding:

“There’s a lot.”

Hmm.

Could she be referring to rumors that Simms banged Messer in his truck – RECENTLY – during a meeting to “discuss their daughters”?

If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, that specific rumor does not come up explicitly, though Leah does accuse Corey of “hitting her up.”

Patterson’s intense reaction toward Leah, and the tension between the two throughout the season, certainly won’t dispel these rumors.

“He’s admitted the affair to Miranda,” an insider told OK! Magazine, stating an undisputed fact whether there was any cheating or not:

“It’s all a huge mess.”
