James Harden: Kursed by Khloe Kardashian?

James Harden started to hang out with Khloe Kardashian in early July.

The couple grew serious this summer, after Harden led the Houston Rockets to the Western Conference Finals and finished second in league MVP voting.

And now? Following his first three games of professional basketball after he started dating the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star?

Harden’s team is 0-3. They have lost all three games by at leas 20 points.

Harden has made just 12 of 54 field goal attempts (22.2 percent) and is 3-of-32 from three-point range (9.3 percent).

He could sink his next 24 three-point attempts in a row… and still have a lower three-point shooting percentage than Steph Curry.

Might Harden’s relationship with Kardashian, especially during this tumultuous period with Lamar Odom in the hospital, be to blame for these shooting woes?

“I’m just shooting my shots that I normally shoot,” Harden told reporters after the latest loss.

“I’m not really trying to think about it too much. As good of a shooter as I am, I’m still going to have struggles throughout the season. This is the first couple games, so it’s tough. But just stay with it.”

Despite Khloe going to court and calling off her divorce from Lamar, insiders say she is still dating Harden.

Khloe herself has said, at least, that she is not romantically involved with her estranged husband.

Her status with Harden remains a bit unclear at the moment, but Harden’s horrendous opening to the season is a simple point of fact.

We’ve seen plenty of men be ruined by Kim Kardashian and her family in the past. Might James Harden be next?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar: FIRED From Speaking Gig Due to Scandals!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar may be experts on home-schooling after educating their 19 offspring, but one prominent home education organization wants nothing to do with the scandal-plagued reality stars.

The Duggars were scheduled to speak at the Alberta Home School Association on in April, but were informed this week that they’d been fired from the gig.

As you’ve probably heard, Jim Bob and Michelle have taken a good deal of flak for their handling of the Josh Duggar sex scandal, and with good reason.

Not only did they help to hide his actions from authorities, Jim Bob defended the decision in an interview back in June.

As a result, the disgraced couple has asked not to attend a a Canadian convention for parents of home-cshooled kids, where they had previously been scheduled to give a speech.

“Although early feedback from our members this summer was supportive of having the Duggars come here, recent feedback from our own members points out that their appearance here would not be in the best interests of home educators,” AHSA president Paul van den Bosch said in a statement.

Apparently in response to claims that the Duggars are rebuilding their reputation and returning to television, van den Bosch offered this stinging rebuke:

“As we have learned, child abuse can happen in any home and is never ‘old news."”

The organization is absolutely right on that score, and while there’s nothing funny about Josh Duggar’s abuse of his own siblings, it’s hard not to be amused by the irony of this situation.

Prior to their recent string of scandals, most of the criticism of the Duggars involved the family’s tendency to cast judgment upon the beliefs and actions of those with whom they disagreed.

We hope Jim Bob and Michelle occasionally take time out from their comeback to consider the lessons that can be learned from their recent twists of fate.

Star Trek Reboot: Headed to CBS in 2017!

CBS has beamed up a reboot of Star Trek.

The network announced today that it will unveil a new version of this iconic series in 2017… but there’s a twist.

The premiere will air on the regular broadcast channel, but all subsequent episodes will air exclusively on CBS All Access.

For $ 5.99 per month, subscribes to CBS All Access (which already hosts every episode of every previous Star Trek program) offers thousands of episodes from CBS’ current and past seasons for your mobile device or tablet.

In announcing this significant piece of news, CBS Television Studios said:

“The brand-new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.”

The original Star Trek starred William Shatner as Captain Kirk and took to the small screen solar system in September of 1966.

Future versions have included Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

“There is no better time to give Star Trek fans a new series than on the heels of the original show’s 50th anniversary celebration,” CBS Television Studios president David Stapf said in a statement.

“Everyone here has great respect for this storied franchise, and we’re excited to launch its next television chapter in the creative mind and skilled hands of Alex Kurtzman, someone who knows this world and its audience intimately.”

So now, of course, only one question remains:

Which actor or actress should serve as the new Star Trek captain?

Jessa Duggar Reports: I"m Still Pregnant! Tabloids Are Dumb!

Over the weekend, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald celebrated their first wedding anniversary, but the festivities didn’t go quite as they’d planned.

You see, Jessa’s due date was November 1 (the same day she and Ben tied the knot), but the big day has come and gone and Jessa is still knocked up. In case that wasn’t clear, she decided to post some photographic evidence on Instagram:

Apparently, Jessa was in a Wal-Mart (natch) when she spotted an amusing tabloid cover.

She posted the pic above along with the following caption:

“Cracking up over this one! Ben and I were surprised to find out that #BabySeewald was already born last week! I must say, it was certainly a relief for me to find out that all that labor and delivery work is already behind me.

“Oh, and A+ on the cover picture. I never imagined I’d get my pre-baby body back so soon! Haha! We both had a good laugh over this!”

Well, at least Jessa has a sense of humor about the situation. Of course, she can call out the tabloids all she wants, but that won’t stop the rumor mill from churning.

In addition to claiming that she already gave birth, Life & Style claims Jessa was “terrified” of giving birth at home without the support of her sister Jill, who’s currently serving as a missionary in Central America.

We guess think it’s safe to assume L&S is full of BS on this one.
