Josh Duggar Seeks Dismissal of Danica Dillon Lawsuit: She Consented! There"s No Proof!

Josh Duggar has filed a motion to dismiss Danica Dillon’s lawsuit against him, claiming that there’s no evidence of wrongdoing, whatsoever.

Legally, anyway.

The disgraced Duggar doesn’t deny Danica’s claims that they engaged in rough sex in hotel rooms a couple of times early last year.

However, he disputes Danica’s allegations of sexual assault or that he intentionally inflicted emotional distress during their encounters.

Duggar’s lawyer Jeffrey A. Conrad said simply that “the Plaintiff has not alleged that Defendant attempted by force to do injury to her.”

Danica’s lawsuit hinges on Josh wanting to abuse her, then following through on that nefarious plan – one his camp adamantly denies.

“Assault requires intent to place Plaintiff in imminent apprehension of harmful or offensive contract,” he says in response to the suits.

Rather, in her lawsuit, Danica Dillon “did not provide anything more than a formulaic recitation of the elements of assault and/or battery.”

The attorney then zinged Danica – who says Josh Duggar manhandled her in bed and verbally abused her – and her admission of prostitution:

“Her labels and conclusions are not adequate, particularly because she states that she consented to physical and sexual contact [for money].”

It was one night in Philadelphia following her March 2015 strip club appearance that Dillon first boned Josh, and says it was horrible.

“Plaintiff felt as if she were being raped by the Defendant,” her attorney wrote in court documents ahead of a January 21 pretrial hearing.

Dillon first came forward in August, after Josh was outed as an Ashley Madison user and subsequently admitted his addiction to porn.

Not only did he mess around online, Josh confessed to cheating on wife Anna Duggar (he has not confirmed he did so with Dillon).

He has been in a Christian-based rehab center in Illinois ever since the scandal broke, though rumors say he may have secretly left.

As for reports of Josh headed to prison for hurting Danica, that speculation is a bit of a reach at best, given that this is a civil complaint.

Stay tuned, though. After the year Josh and the rest of the Duggars just had, we would not be surprised by a whole lot else at this point.

Oh, and despite all he’s put her through, the long-suffering Anna Duggar appears poised to reconcile with Josh, if she hasn’t already. Sigh.

Teresa Giudice: Tracking Bracelet Doesn"t Go With My Outfits!

Ugh, probation.  Amiright?

Teresa Giudice is out of jail, but not exactly free from the constraints of the law.  On probation until February 5th, Giudice is required to wear a tracking device on her ankle and adhere to her house arrest rules, which aren’t all that restrictive.

According to Radar Online, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has a 9pm nightly curfew; if she has a work commitment that goes later, she has to run it by her probation officer.  She’s also “required to check in daily with the Federal Location Monitoring program” that oversees her house arrest.

This really puts a damper on Giudice’s social life, it appears.

“It’s embarrassing for Teresa because she wants to go into New York City with her friends,” a source told Radar.  “But that will have to wait for a bit.”

The bracelet is less like an accessory and more like a big pain in the ass.

Giudice “isn’t a fan of wearing the ankle bracelet because it’s cumbersome and bulky.”  What’s more, it’s not conducive to the reality star’s style.

“Teresa wants to wear a short mini-skirt and heels, but that’s just not an option.”

All of this is better than being in jail, right?

While filming her return from the big house for RHONJ, Bravo pressured Giudice to show her bracelet to the cameras.

“She wasn’t happy to do it, but knew Bravo wanted it for the show,” the source added.

Happy New Year!

Craig Strickland: Bandmates React to Singer"s Death

Last week, Backroad Anthem lead singer Craig Strickland went missing after embarking on a hunting trip with life-long friend

Yesterday, Strickland’s body was found in a remote, heavily-forested region of Oklahoma. Today, his bandmates paid touching tribute to their fallen frontman on Facebook:

The band’s surviving members  – Toby Freeman, Eric Dysart, Josh Bryant, Brandon Robold and Isaac Senty – posted the photo above, along with the following caption:

Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate. Craig was the most amazing person whose passion for life couldn’t be matched. Thankful to know he fought his way from the water to a hill and was lying in the shape of a cross on his back looking up to his Heavenly Father.

“Today, he is smiling down on us and we know he will always be with us. He will always be here to help guide us along the way. We love you Craig Strickland and we will forever miss you!

The band’s statement references the details of Strickland’s death that were recently made public by his wife, Helen Strickland.

“The night of the accident he fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in,” she wrote on Instagram.

“He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep. They found him lying in the shape of a cross looking up to his Father.”

Strickland was 29 years old.

Leonardo DiCaprio & Kelly Rohrbach: It"s Over!

It looks like 2016 might be the year that Leonardo DiCaprio takes home a coveted golden trophy that will no doubt earn a permanent place in his bedroom.

Sadly, it won’t be Kelly Rohrbach.

Yes, after beating the odds and spending the better part of a year together, DiCaprio and Rohrbach have called it quits.

People magazine is reporting today that the couple actually went their separate ways quite some time ago, but kept the breakup under wraps so that it wouldn’t overshadow promotions for Gimme a Damn Oscar: The Movie The Revenant.

“They have been broken up for a few months now,” says one insider. “They are very friendly and it’s super amicable.”

Naturally, Leo’s reps relied on the old “too busy” excuse to allay suspicions that Leo suffered a full-blown panic attack after realizing that Kelly is approaching her late twenties.

“They are both so busy and he’s got a big movie coming out and she’s one of the biggest supermodels in the world,” said a source in the actor’s camp. “There is no other person in the picture.”

Yes, apparently Kelly Rohrbach is one of the world’s biggest supermodels. Who knew?

We first learned about Leo and Kelly dating way back in April, which means the 25-year-old has demonstrated a Peyton Manning-like ability to remain relevant for much longer than anyone expected.

At one point, there were even rumors that DiCaprio and Rohrbach were engaged, because the American tabloid press has officially devolved into the world’s most elaborate act of trolling.

Anyway, it sounds like life’s been tough for Leo lately – or at least as tough as life can get for a guy who switches up his supermodels more frequently than most folks change their oil.

He endured two years of frigid, bearded hell shooting The Revenant; he went through a breakup; and there were even rumors that he got raped by a bear on screen.

At this point, we don’t think Best Actor is enough. The needs to win every damn Oscar that there is. Sorry, sound editing contenders. It’s just not your year.
