Lyric McHenry Dies, Friends and Loved Ones React in Shock
The world of reality television was dealt a tragic and awful blow on Tuesday night.
Former EJNYC star Lyric McHenry was found dead in New York City, with details of her passing causing those who knew her well to react in stunned silence and/or shocked sorrow.
According to various outlets, McHenry was discovered at 5 a.m. on a sidewalk in the Bronx.
She was wearing nothing but a pajamas top and there was a small bag of cocaine on her person.
Authorities therefore suspect that McHenry died of a drug overdose.
Along with the actual narcotics found at the scene, this belief was fortified by the many Instagram photos and videos shared by McHenry and her friends late Monday night, all of which documented their night out in New York.
Here are two examples of such photos:
McHenry, her sister Maya (who also is friends with EJ Johnson and who also appeared on the aforementioned E! reality series in 2016) and some pals hit up multiple well-known Big Apple hot spots during their celebration.
Lyric was only 26 years old at the time of her death.
And, according to The New York Daily News, she was 20 weeks pregnant.
Just horrible.
Those who knew McHenry well are not taking the news of her passing well, for obvious and understandable reasons.
Dorothy Wang, who starred alongside EJ Johnson and who was close friends with McHenry, Tweeted the following after learning of Lyric’s death:
Rest In Peace Lyric McHenry. You were an angel amongst us.
Wang was a cast member on E!’s Rich Kids of Beverly Hills for four seasons and EJNYC was a one-season spinoff of this program.
Wang also called out reports about McHenry’s death that did NOT include all of her accomplishments, insiders or social media users who only focused on the overdose.
“Lyric was a Stanford graduate, scholar, activist, an intelligent, caring, friend, sister, daughter, and member of society!!!” wrote Wang.
It’s true: she also volunteered on the Obama campaign when she was 15 years old.
“Working for this campaign made my awkward stage at 15 so much doper,” wrote McHenry as a caption to the picture below, adding:
Thank you to the Obamas for inspiring us, leading with love and intellect, bringing art and artists to the White House, and also Sasha and Malia.”
Radar Online, meanwhile, writes that McHenry’s mom reacted in such hysterics upon hearing that her daughter died that she had to be hospitalized.
The 26-year-old’s mother, Jennifer, was “crying and fell to the ground and we had to catch her,” a source said about the sad situation.
This is what the New York Police Department wrote in regard to what transpired yesterday:
“On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at approximately 0505 hours, police encountered a 26-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the sidewalk in the vicinity of Undercliff Avenue and Boscobel Place, within the confines of the 44 Precinct.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma observed.
“EMS responded to the location and transported the aided female to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
And this is what EJ Johnson, the son of basketball legend Magic Johnson, wrote on social media on August 6 and McHenry and her impending birthday:

Loser Designer Blasts Selena Gomez as "Ugly," Fans React in Horror
You can say many things about Selena Gomez.
You can say you don’t like her music because you’re entitled to that opinion.
You can say you she has bad taste in men because Justin Bieber has never treated her well.
You can say she makes poor decisions with her hairstyle at times.
But you cannot say what Stefano Gabbana just said about the singer, not if you want to avoid very deserved backlash from millions of people on social media.
The Italian designer, who co-founded the fashion label label Dolce & Gabbana, went out of his way on Instagram this week to attack Gomez.
In the comments of a photo on The Catwalk Italia’s Instagram account, Gabbana wrote the following alongside a collage of Selena picture:
È proprio brutta!!!
This translates, very simply and extremely rudely, to: She’s so ugly.
The insult was many things; unprovoked, cruel, sexist and objectively untrue.
And while Gomez has thus far taken the high road, refusing to even acknowledge Gabbana’s existence, her friends and fans online have been unable to show similar restraint.
“@stefanobabbana you’re tired and over. your homophobic, misogynistic, body-shaming existence will not thrive in 2018,” Tweeted 13 Reasons Why actor Tommy Dorfman, who plays Ryan Shaver in the Netflix drama.
He added:
“it is no longer tolerable or chic. please take many seats.”
And then there was this from a Gomez follower:
“Shame on you for online bullying. Doesn’t matter if 1 million people see it or 1 person, it’s bullying. It’s wrong.”
And then this from another Gomez follower, who kept it short and simple and supportive:
“We love this beautiful queen.”
Julia Michaels, a singer-songwriter and close friend of Selena’s tweeted:
“@selenagomez just here to tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. I love you always.”
This really is true.
While the merits of what Gabbana said are really beside the point, it might as well be pointed out while we’re here:
Selena Gomez is a very pretty young woman. Full stop. This statement really can’t be debated.
Over the years, Gabbana has bullied stars on social media numerous times, including Kate Mossand Victoria Beckham.
Most recently, he went after Kate Moss on the same Catwalk Italia Instagram page, dissing a Saint Laurent look she was wearing … just because.
In 2015, celebrities such as Elton John, Courtney Love and Ricky Martin boycotted the fashion brand over insensitive comments Dolce and Gabbana made about IVF and LGBTQ families.
Moreover, the brand released a $ 245 “#BoycottDolceGabbana” graphic T-shirt inspired by the negative response to First Lady Melania Trump wearing their designs.
In other words: it courts controversy like this.
So the best thing to do is what Selena has done, which is to totally and completely ignore the misguided and pathetic messenger.

Grey"s Anatomy Fans, Stars React to Epic Finale
Now THAT"S what we call a season finale!
And, incredibly, that"s what we call a happy season finale.
On Grey"s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 24, Sarah Drew said goodbye as April and Jessica Capshaw said goodbye as Arizona.
But did the series kill off these character, as it has killed off so many before them?

1. A Double Farewell
With Capshaw and Drew’s firing announced weeks ago, fans were prepared for the worst. This is Grey’s, after all, so everyone assumed the characters themselves would be terminated. Literally.
2. How Did April Leave?
But… shocked! The show did not kill April off last week. Following her near-death experience, April chose to quit her job to do “God’s work,” helping the homeless.
3. And Then!
After Jo and Alex’s wedding was a disaster, Matthew actually got down on one knee and proposed! And April said YES!
4. And From There!
The couple didn’t just get engaged. They decided to get married right then and right there… with Jackson (Jesse Williams, pictured here) and Arizona there to watch and support them.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Canceled by FOX! Stars, Celebrities React
It"s cancelation season — the worst time of the year.
FOX, infamous for having canceled beloved shows in the past, is giving the axe to beloved comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Season 5 will be its last.
TV cancelations tend to have much more to do with ratings and budgets than they do with anything else, which means that high-quality shows can get the axe. This, folks, is why we as a society cannot have nice things.
A massive outpouring of support from fans and viewers of Brooklyn Nine-Nine has dominated the Twitter conversation since the announcement on Thursday.
Members of the cast thanked fans for their years of support.
A number of celebrities spoke out, mourning the show and extolling its many virtues.
In fact, as you"ll see, the outpouring was so intense that their may be good news on the horizon. …
1. First the bad news broke
If you saw “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” or “Brooklyn 99” or any variation of it trending, it was because, like other excellent and critically acclaimed series like The Expanse, it was canceled on what we might call the Thursday Afternoon Massacre.
2. The show’s creator spoke out
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a highly beloved comedy series, and as sad as fans are to see it go, you know that the creators, writers, actors, and crew have to be even more heartbroken.
3. One of the beloved stars spoke out
Stephanie Beatriz is a sweet, gentle-natured person, but her character Rosa Diaz is a total badass who likes to keep her personal life private.
4. Joe Lo Truglio mourns with fans
One of the lead actors, he plays Charles Boyle, who was something of a weak link during the first season but who grew to be beloved by fans over the following four seasons.
5. Melissa Fumero plays the leading lady
Playing opposite Andy Samberg’s character, she portrays Amy Santiago, a rules-oriented detective who is absolutely endearing in every episode.

Jenelle Evans Gun Incident: Teen Mom 2 Co-Stars React!
If you"re a Teen Mom 2 fan, then by now, you"ve likely heard about the infamous Jenelle Evans road rage incident.
In case you somehow missed it, here"s a brief rundown:
Basically, Jenelle is even more nuts than we thought, and she chased a guy down and threatened to shoot him on his own lawn all because he cut her off in traffic.
Oh, did we mention her son was in the passenger seat the whole time?
Like we said, it was bad. Very bad.
And naturally, Jenelle"s esteemed colleagues over at MTV have had a lot to say on the subject:
1. A New Low
Family, friends, and fans are used to erratic and even violent behavior from Jenelle. But endangering multiple lives – including that of her 8-year-old son, Jace – is a new low for Evans, and her latest controversy is sure to carry some serious consequences.
2. The End of an Era?
There’s even been talk of Jenelle getting fired from Teen Mom 2. The decision has been escalated from TM2 producers to MTV execs, who are currently in discussions about Jenelle’s future with the network.
3. The Fallout Continues
It also looks as though Jenelle might lose custody of her youngest son, Kaiser, as a result of her latest brush with the law. She’s already lost custody of Jace, who is currently being raised by Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans.
4. Uncharacteristically Quiet
Thus far, Jenelle has kept mum on the issue, possibly at the advice of her legal counsel. But her co-stars have been quick to offer their two cents on the situation.
5. Calling For Her Head
Not surprisingly, many are calling for Jenelle to be fired as a result of the incident, including her longtime co-star Jeremy Calvert.
6. Jeremy Sounds Off
Calvert – the former husband of Leah Messer – is an outspoken opponent of gun control legislation, but even he feels that left-leaning TM2 producers should put their money where their mouth is and can Jenelle for brandishing a weapon.

Farrah Abraham Admits to Storing Nude Photos of Daughter; Fans React

Farrah has been fired from Teen Mom OG for what essentially amounts to sheer idiocy, but she still finds new and interesting ways to eff up on a daily basis.

Gisele Bundchen, Psychotic Eagles Fans React to Super Bowl LII
Well, the Philadelphia Eagles certainly beat the odds by pulling out a stunning victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
But more importantly, the city itself defied predictions by not being reduced to a smoldering pile of rubble in the hours after the win.
As you may know, Eagles fans have a reputation for being a bit of a rowdy lot.
And by that, we mean you shouldn’t interview them on live TV, unless you want your viewers to have to endure a lot of awkward conversations about Nick Foles’ genitalia at the dinner table.
Yes, the Eagles flock was flipping cars and climbing greased poles after the NFC Championship game, so not surprisingly, the city’s first Super Bowl win resulted in widespread mayhem.
It’s hard to pick just a handful of highlights from the Mad Max sequel that played out on Broad Street last night, but we’re partial to this clip of a bunch of fans toppling the canopy of the Ritz-Carlton.

It may not be as over-the-top as the ceremonial flipping of the Prius, or the chanting of “f-ck Tom Brady!” (guys, you have to get a little more creative than that), but this is riot porn for the thinking man:
First, there’s the fact that a bunch of grown adults thought it would be a good idea to test the strength of a fabric canopy by climbing their drunk asses on top of it.
Then there’s the delicious irony of it – the name Ritz-Carlton is synonymous with luxury the world over, and a bunch of drunk Eagles fans tearing the joint apart is a reminder of why some people just can’t have nice things.
Of course, we understand if you prefer your debauchery a bit less subtle.

Moving on from one type of loser to another, Tom Brady’s equally robotic supermodel wife was more gracious than usual in the face of defeat, taking to Instagram to congratulate Big Dick Nick and company on a well-fought battle:
“Congratulations Eagles for winning the Super bowl, what a game that was,” Bundchen wrote.
“Congratulations Patriots for giving your best and to my love, we are incredibly proud of you because we are able to see ever day all the commitment, sacrifice and hard work that you have devoted to become the best in what you do. We love you!”
This isn’t the first time the heavily-favored Pats suffered a humiliating Super Bowl loss, and when they went down to the Giants in 2012 Bundchen threw a tantrum that was caught on camera.
So perhaps Bundchen has learned to take a more stoic, Belichick-like approach to defeat.
Or maybe those Tom and Gisele divorce rumors are true and she’s ready to leave the Masshole life behind for good.
Either way, she should probably steer clear of Philly for a while, just to be safe.

Mark Salling Suicide: Glee Stars, Crew Members React
As previously reported, Mark Salling is dead at the age of 35.
The former Glee star, who rose to fame as the character of Noah Puckerman on this Fox comedy, appears to have committed suicide.
His body was found hanging from a tree in the woods near Salling’s home on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, authorities have not tracked down a suicide note, but those familiar with Salling’s situation can imagine why he chose to take his own life:
The actor pleaded guilty in October of 2016 to child pornography charges and was facing many years in prison.
His sentencing was set to take place in March.
It had also been reported that just prior to accepting a deal with prosecutors around that time, Salling tried to slit his wrists.
In response to this tragedy, Salling’s former Glee co-stars and some crew members who worked with him on that popular series have spoken out on what transpired.
Many of them referenced both Salling’s death and the horrible allegations to which he confessed in court.
For example, producer Tim Davis Tweeted the following:
“Today we lost another #Glee cast member.
“Yes, he committed crimes against children. Yes, it’s horrific. But #MarkSalling was a broken man, no doubt an abuse victim himself.
“I loved Mark, and am sad when I consider the devastation of his parents. PLEASE withhold your cruel comments.”
Jane Lynch then went ahead and retweeted Davis’ second statement, which reads as follows:
“Let me be clear. Having compassion for #MarkSalling in no way minimizes his crimes, nor does it minimize the pain and devastation of the victims of those crimes.
“I’m just saying stop adding to his family’s pain. This was their son. If you’re without sin, feel free to cast stones.”
Matthew Morrison, meanwhile, shared an Instagram photo of himself posing with Salling and Cory Monteith, the latter of whim died in July of 2013 from a drug overdose.
Jenna Ushkowitz commented on the post with a heart emoji.
Widely respected director Paris Barclay also took to Twitter to react to the very unfortunate news.
“It’s a painful loss, again,” he tweeted alongside a picture of Salling and Monteith, adding:
“Two young actors, lost too soon. #RIP #marksalling.”
Iqbal Theba, who portrayed Principal Figgins on the Emmy-winning musical, simply Tweeted: “Oh Mark.”
Cinematographer Joaquin Sedillo Tweeted: “Devistating… Suicide is never the answer.”
Salling starred on Glee from 2009 from 2015, playing a high school student referred to by the nickname “Puck.”
He was best friends with the character played by Monteith, a seemingly tough football player who initially expressed disdain for the glee club, only to eventually reveal a much softer side and an impressive singing voice.
Wrote actor Finneas O’Connell in response to the suicide, taking a somewhat different approach from those who were close to Salling:
“I met Mark Salling Once when we were filming the final episode of Glee together. I didn’t know him at all and I won’t pretend I did.
“It’s been a horrifying thing these past two years finding out about the crimes he’s committed. I don’t feel sorry for him. Only sorry for his fans.”
This is what Salling’s attorney said the public yesterday, shortly after news of Salling’s death went viral:
I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning.
Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment.
He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother.
The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.

Texas Shooting: Stars React to Massacre in Baptist Church
Another mass shooting has taken place in the United States.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in Sutherland Springs, Texas, a man dressed in all black clothing entered First Baptist Church and opened fire.
(The suspect has been identified as a 26-year old local named Devin Patrick Kelly.)
He"s believed to have killed at least 26 people, including someone as young as five years old, while injuring dozens more.
In light of this tragedy, here"s a look at what various celebrities have said on social media…
