Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Promote UNCOMMEN App, May Not Appreciate Irony

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar recently filmed a promo video for UNCOMMEN, an app aimed at making men better dads and people.

The nonprofit organization behind the app wants men to “win” at life, believing society’s future rests on the shoulders of young males.

Says the UNCOMMEN organization, which tries to help men “win” by transforming their roles as husbands and fathers into a game: 

“When men win: wives, kids, and society wins. When men win, we don’t have to build as many shelters for abandoned families.”

“When men win, we don’t pay the psychological and emotional toll for fatherless kids, or care for so many abused and neglected wives.”

Men are presented with “challenges” like taking cute photos with their kids, making dinner for their families and getting other dads to join. 

You know, critical stuff no man or father would ever consider doing otherwise and which makes all the difference in the world today.

In the video, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar urge us to use the product to “stay connected to your kids” and “be the dad that you should be.”

The ironic and massive elephant in the room, obviously, is that the Duggars are shilling for this despite having raised … Josh Duggar.

Dude has a lot to learn! Fortunately, UNCOMMEN is on the case.

According to this mind-shattering app, Josh should … probably present Anna Duggar with gifts like waterproof mascara and compliments.

Seriously. We’re sure that’ll make everything okay with Anna.

Amazingly, there was an UNCOMMEN blog post in the past year about the Ashley Madison cheating website Josh was busted using.

In “You Are At Risk: The Ashley Madison Con Game,” an UNCOMMEN blog writer lists ways for husbands to avoid being tempted.

Some tips – spicing up one’s sex life by banging on the kitchen table, in the car, or the middle of the day – would make Michelle cringe.

Or would it? Michelle was criticized earlier this year for subtly blaming Anna Duggar for Josh cheating … or any wife for that matter.

According to Michelle, it’s the woman’s role to be “joyfully available” for him at all times if she doesn’t want him f–king other women.

All that aside, the Duggars’ latest partnership speaks volumes.

Despite Josh’s infidelity, love of online porn, hypocrisy and child molestation, and his parents’ role in (mis)handling the latter, they march on.

Slowly rebuilding their image by moving past the scandals as imperfect people striving to do better, they have certainly made strides.

They have their critics and those critics are as vocal as ever, but to their fans, they are weathering a storm and emerging better for it.

The Executive Director of UNCOMMEN, Dee Lanier, has a background in ministry, a good fit with the Duggars’ strongly religious views.

One could certainly read into this as Jim Bob and Michelle using UNCOMMEN to help better Josh and help others avoid similar slip-ups.

Is it a ridiculous sounding app to most people? Absolutely.

Stil, it looks more and more like 19 Kids & Counting’s return is inevitable, and this endorsement speaks to the family’s lasting appeal.

Presenting.... The Worst Family Feud Contestant of All-Time!

Steve Harvey knows a thing or two about giving the wrong answer.

But that doesn"t mean he has patience for for sheer stupidity.

During a recent episode of Family Feud, the question posed to various relatives was this: What"s another way people say mama?

When Harvey arrived at a contestant named Sheila, her loved one had already answered "mommy," which was on the board, and "nana," which was not.

So… how did Sheila respond?

"Nana," she gave as an answer, pronouncing the word slightly differently than her teammate did previously.

“Didn’t you say nana?” Harvey asked her relative, while attempting to decipher Sheila’s answer. “Was you trying to say it in Spanish or something?”

So a confused Harvey then asked her again, “What’s another way people say mother?”

And Sheila – AGAIN – replied with a previously submitted response.

“What about mommy?” she asked next, placing an emphasis on the second syllable.

Harvey, at a loss for words, then turned to the crowd and said, “This sh-t can’t be happening."

Safe to say this was the exact opposite from the best Family Feud answer in show history.

Kendall Jenner Wants to Shoot the Paparazzi (Sort Of)

Kendall Jenner may be taking a bubble bath in the latest issue of LOVE Magazine.

But that doesn’t mean the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star is relaxed.

In a segment titled “5 Minutes with Kendall Jenner,” in fact, she’s positive worked up.

Especially when the topic turns to the numerous photographers who make themselves part of Kendall’s life on a daily basis.

“If I could get back at the paparazzi, I would get paint ball guns and paint ball them all day,” Kendall said, laughing and adding:

“Or I would get my own camera and stalk them and their families and take pictures of their children all day.”

We mean… what’s stopping you, Kendall? If we buy the paint gun and the paint balls, will you follow through on this promise?

Elsewhere in the interview, Jenner talks about the days of her youth.

“I wasn’t a bad kid, and I was pretty terrified of anyone older than me, so I wouldn’t say I did anything crazy,” she says.

“But then when I got to high school…I would go and tell the head of school that I really needed to leave and I was really stressed out because of work.

“But then I would just leave school, and I would bring Kylie with me, but she didn’t have permission. I would just leave school and go hang out with my boyfriend and go get food.”

How naughty of her!

Not as naughty as the time Kendall posed topless for this same publication, but still.

The Flash Season 2 Episode 13 Recap: A Whole New World

Viewers were not taken on a magic carpet ride during The Flash Season 2 Episode 13.

But that doesn’t mean this CW favorite didn’t depict a whole new world on Tuesday night.

During a revealing trip to Earth-2, we were stunned to learn the following about our heroes’ dopplegangers in this unusual universe:

• Barry and Iris are married.


• Cisco is an even metahuman named Reverb who works for Zoom.


• Cisco also learned that he has potential abilities that far exceed his wildest dreams and that they may one day come to fruition.


• Bruce, Hal and Diana (also known as Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman) are on Earth-2 Barry’s speed dial.

The latter point of fact was really just a fun easter egg, but that didn’t change our reaction to it.

We’re still picking our jaw up off the floor.

What will all of this mean for Barry and company?

According to executive producers Aaron and Todd Helbing, who spoke to reporters about everything we learned on Earth-2…

“Cisco saw the magnitude of the powers that he’s capable of, anything’s possible now,” Aaron Helbing says.

Captured by Zoom, Barry is in prison and will start to form a connection with Harry’s daughter… just as her father and Cisco seek out assistance from an unexpected source in order to save their loved ones, according to Todd Helbing.

Did you also notice a masked man opposite Barry’s cell?

He’s “there for a reason,” Helbing mysteriously previews.

We’ll see more of Earth-2 Barry down the line on The Flash Season 2.

“He’s quite a bit different,” Todd Helbing explains. “We really just gave Grant [Gustin] a few ideas, and he took it upon himself and created this amazing guy. It’s hilarious.”

Yes, Caitlin has now fulfilled her comic book destiny of becoming Killer Frost on Earth-Two.

But this doesn’t mean the the Caitlin we know and love won’t take an icy turn.

“Right now, she’s not affected,” Todd Helbing says. “For that to happen, there’s going to have to be some scenario that would trigger that. Right now, it’s not a possibility.”

What a crazy hour, huh?
