Azealia Banks Defends Decision to Bleach Skin: I"m Still Black!

The very outspoken Azealia Banks is usually going on the offensive, dissing other stars left and right about whatever"s pissing her off today.

But now the rapper is playing defense after she took a hit from fans about her decision to bleach her skin.

Followers came down on her in June when they noticed her skin tone in recent pics appeared significantly lighter.

It was later revealed that Banks, who has been vocal about racism against dark-skinned blacks in the past, used the skin bleaching product Whitenicious to modify her complexion.

"I love how she"s the one talking about blackness all the time and now she bleaches her skin," lamented one fan.

Banks recently addressed the criticism in a 21-minute Facebook Live video, which was just deleted as we wrote this post. (Luckily, BeBoxMusic captured a small clip of it, seen below.)

“I don’t really think it’s important to discuss the cultural significance of skin bleaching anymore,” Banks told fans.

“Just as black people in this world, you assimilate, and there are things you accept, not just out of necessity but things become norm because they just happen all the time.”

So… she did it because it happens all the time?

She compares the decision to that of any woman who opts to alter her appearance.

"Its a deeper conversation into a woman"s right to choose, a woman"s choice," she said.

"What"s the difference between getting a nose job and changing your skin color?"

In 2015, Banks tweeted about the difficulties of being a dark-skinned woman and how it has affected her personally.

"The treatment I get for being a dark skinned woman just makes me want to lay down and die sometimes," she wrote.

"They hate us, they treat us like dogs, then turn around and ask why we’re mad. I don’t care what anyone says: men in general despise dark skinned women."

Of course, Banks" Twitter account was suspended in May after she (ironically) went on a racist, homophobic rant against singer Zayn Malik.

She concludes by basically telling fans to chill.

"I don"t think that me rubbing on some f**kin" bleaching cream or some cake soap is gonna be the end of the revolution, guys."

Chris Brown Accused of Exploiting Alton Sterling, Philando Castile Deaths

As you no doubt heard, the online community was rocked yesterday by the shocking video of police shooting and killing Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old father of five who was murdered in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA.

While the world was still reeling from yet another death at the hands of American police officers, another horrifying incident took place last night, this one in Minnesota.

Lavish Reynolds, the girlfriend of 32-year-old Philando Castile, livestreamed on Facebook as Castile died from gunshot wounds inflicted by a cop.

Reynolds was forbidden to do anything to help Castile as he lay dying in her passenger seat.

The officer who discharged his weapon kept his gun pointed at the couple and shouted obscenities while Castile took his last breaths.

Naturally most celebrities reacted with compassion, outrage and pleas for change:

Unfortunately, celebrities are like regular people – except they’re usually more sheltered and narcissistic – so some of them responded to the situation like full-blown jackasses. 

For one, there are the many who posted photos and address information of a man named Robert Kinnison, falsely identifying him as the cop responsible for Sterling’s death.

(Pro tip: Do a little research before you sic an angry mob on someone.)

And then there’s Chris Brown, aka Breezy, aka Douche of the Millenium.

Brown has been accused of exploiting the deaths of Sterling and Castile with the following tweet:

“This song I released for free for anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives…”

Naturally, it was followed by a link to his Soundcloud page.

Maybe Breezy’s heart was in the right place.

And maybe he’s currently being , so he probably shouldn’t be instructing the rest of us on how to heal the world.

Taylor Swift Stalker Arrested at Singer’s Home, Is Very Sad She’s Dating Tom Hiddleston

Taylor Swift really gets a steady amount of unwanted visitors at her home. 

The most recent person to show up unannounced is a deranged fan who is not impressed about her relationship with Tom Hiddleston. 

There’s no denying that Swift’s relationship with Hiddleston came out of nowhere. 

She was in a relationship with Calvin Harris mere weeks ago, but one fan seemed to think that the end of her relationship with Harris meant that he’d be her next dude. 

The man showed up at her Rhode Island home and was allegedly distraught about her relationship with 35-year-old Hiddleston.

This new pairing has been literally everywhere. The whole world probably knows about it at this stage. 

They’ve been jet-setting around the globe with one another. Their relationship appears to be moving along at a brisk pace. 

The deranged fan was caught by security, but they knew that something wasn’t quite right when he claimed that he was meant to get married to the singer.

That’s when alarm bells started ringing and the authorities got involved. 

The man was ultimately taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation. 

His car was towed away from the scene when he was taken away.

There’s word that Taylor was not in the residence at the time of the incident. 

This is not okay. This is the sort of things that celebrities fear the most. 

There’s a line and this fan most certainly crossed it. 

Taylor is believed to be in Australia at the moment with her man, who is filming Thor 3.

She has yet to address the event at her Rhode Island residence, but she must be so glad that she wasn’t there at the time.
