Wendy Williams Addresses Taylor Swift-Kim Kardashian Feud, Actually Makes Sense

Wendy Williams has spent the last few months taking jabs at Taylor Swift every chance she gets.

First, she called Swift a biatch. Then, she made fun of Swift’s body. Then, she mocked Taylor’s romance with Tom Hiddleston.

So now that Swift has sort of been outed as a liar by Kim Kardashian, Williams is teeing off on the singer, right?

She’s bringing her best insult game and really letting Swift have it, no?

Actually… no. Not quite.

As the celebrity gossip world knows by now, Kardashian dropped a bombshell via Snapchat on Sunday night, actually releasing videos that depict husband Kanye West talking to Swift about the song “Famous.”

In the footage, we hear Kanye telling his former foe about plans to reference the two of them having sex together in one verse, an idea Taylor sounds totally fine with.

She even thanks Kanye for letting her in on his creative process.

Here. In case you missed it, take a look at the viral video below:

Why is this such a big deal?

Because Swift previously claimed West never consulted her about the controversial lyrics in “Famous,” insisting she was blindsided by the misogynistic message of the track.

Kim has seemingly made Swift into a liar, although Taylor is correct in that the footage above does NOT include West asking her if she’s okay with him calling her a “bitch.”

And that’s where he main beef with the single lies.

In her analysis of the situation this morning, Williams acknowledged this final point, actually taking the side of Taylor Swift for a bit.

“OK, so what has been exposed is what Kanye has said all along,” she explained. “That he talked to Taylor about the song and that he was going to include her in it.

“What he didn’t tell her is that the last line, ‘I made the B-famous."”

Wendy then went on a tangent about how you can’t throw about this B-Word (or the N-Word) here and there and pick and choose when you get offended by it.

The talk show host does go on to point some blame in the direction of Swift, however.

“Taylor should of explained she didn’t know all of the lyrics…

“She totally acted like ‘I didn’t know anything about it. Kanye was wrong on every single level.’

“In the meantime Kanye sounded very nice on the phone. I think he only has two levels, though. Either high intense or low key, nice. There’s nothing in-between.”

In conclusion, Williams says the following:

“Sounds to me like they had a very lovely conversation. Taylor knew what he was going to say but it also sounds like Taylor has a right to be pissed because he ended up using, ‘I made the B famous."”

You know we’re in trouble when Wendy Williams is the person making the most sense.

It does seem as if Swift played up her ignorance of the song too much… but everyone is making it sound as if Kim completely outed Swift as a giant liar.

In reality, though, Kanye rapping that he made that “bitch famous” as a reference to Swift was clearly the most offensive aspect to the song.

And that is never addressed in the scandalous Snapchat video.

So aren’t we just back to where we started? Isn’t this much ado about nothing, as boring as that is for a gossip website to write?

Taylor Swift Hell Week: How Can the Singer Recover From 7 Days of Scandal?

Last night, Kim Kardashian offered one hell of a grand finale to what many were already describing as the worst week of Taylor Swift’s career.

Taylor’s hell week began with the bizarre revelation that the singer may have broken up with Calvin Harris over a song.

Specifically, insiders say she was pissed because Harris failed to give her her due for co-writing his hit “This Is What You Came For” (even though the couple agreed in advance that putting Swift’s name on the song would overshadow its musical merits).

Harris confirmed the rumor in a scathing Twitter rant about Swift and her calculated attempts to “bury” rival artists, such as himself and longtime rival Katy Perry.

That resulted in the “Taylor Swift is Over Party,” during which diehard members of Team Harris and Team Perry flocked to Twitter to express their joy over what they perceived to be the singer’s downfall:

Now, bizarrely, Taylor is wrapped up in another controversy over what she did or didn’t know about a hit single prior to its recording.

This time, the accusations come from Kim Kardashian, who says that despite Swift’s claims to the contrary, the singer knew all about Kanye West’s “Famous” (and its derogatory lyrics) long before the song was even recorded.

Obviously, Taylor is no stranger to feuds and mini-scandals but can her career and her reputation recover from back-to-back-to-back bludgeonings like this?

The answer: Yes, but it won’t be easy, and it may be a long time before we see the “carefree media darling #SquadGoals” Taylor that we’ve become accustomed to in the 21 months since she made the transition from crossover upstart to full-blown pop culture sensation with the release of 1989.

In the past, Taylor has thrived on turmoil in her personal life, but she seems to have put an effort to leave that image behind her with her seemingly stable (albeit oddly fast-moving) relationship with Tom Hiddleston.

But just because she’d hung up her guns, that doesn’t mean Swift can’t dust off the burn book full of Carly Simon-esque, roman a clef story-songs one last time to fire some thinly veiled shots at her new crop of rivals.

Taylor clarified her position on Kim’s bombshell on Instagram today, and you can expect that to be her last word on the matter for the time being.

(She’s already sicced her lawyers on Kanye, so she may not even be allowed to discuss things further.)

In fact, the 26-year-old may stay off social media for a while until the dust settles.

But you can be sure that sometime in the next few months, Taylor will drop a diss track that’ll make Bad Blood like Kumbaya.

Kim Kardashian: Was She Right To Record Kanye West and Taylor Swift"s Conversation?

Controversy does not suit you, Kim.

Over the past year, Kim Kardashian has pushed the limits of her popularity, from fighting with Bette Midler on Twitter over nude photos, to her most recent scandal – filming the phone call between Kanye West and Taylor Swift to approve lyrics from his single, “Famous.”

“For all my Southside n****s that know me best I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” West was seen reading to Swift.

Kardashian shared this and several other Snapchats of the phone call with fans in order to prove that Swift was fine with the lyrics.

Swift released a statement in response to Kardashian’s release of the audio, claiming that she was never told above the below lyric:

Why? I made that bitch famous (God damn) I made that bitch famous.

“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened,” Swift said in a statement posted to her Instagram account.

She’s right.  There is no audio of West running the above lyrics by Swift.

Kardashian, however, was over it.

“She was tired of Taylor being portrayed as this angel,” a source close to the reality star told People Magazine.

“She’s fake. She said one thing when the song came out and now she’s saying another. She painted Kanye as this monster.

“He was actually trying to do the right thing for once when he called her.”

Kardashian took her first swing at Swift on Twitter, calling her a  “snake” for denying she knew about all of the lyrics on the track.

Before she opened the flood gates on Snapchat, Kardashian prepped her audience by claiming that West always has the album recording process filmed.

“I see you guys loving Kanye’s exclusive footage in tonights episode! He shoots everything while creating albums,” she tweeted.

“So dope.”

Was that Kardashian’s attempt to make this whole thing look like the opposite of a set-up?  Her very existence is staged, if Keeping Up With The Kardashians has taught us anything.  Therefore, a stunt like this is entirely within the realm of possibility.

The whole ordeal feels catty on Kardashian’s part, and something that a year ago would be beneath her.

If her attempt was to come off looking like the bigger person, Kardashian failed miserably.  Nothing appears more forced or more obnoxious than someone blatantly trying to make the other party look like an idiot.

Kardashian will no doubt defend her actions as a way to stand up for her husband, but others may not see it that way.

“Kim is super loyal to Kanye and will always do anything to have his back,” another source told People.

“She is even more protective of him than she is of herself. She thinks he’s misunderstood and couldn’t stand that people thought he was a liar.”

While Swift might bug the sh** out of us from time to time (or all the time, depending on who you are), using Snapchat as a smear campaign to defend your husband’s honor is, for lack of a better word, lame.

Game of Thrones Season 7: When Will It Premiere?

The reign of Queen Cersei will last for longer than we previously imagined on Game of Thrones.

HBO confirmed on Monday that Game of Thrones Season 7 will not premiere until some time in the summer of 2017.

Why the delay? It’s actually weather-related (see statement below) and it is interesting to note for a couple reasons:

FIRST, Game of Thrones has never before premiered later than April 24.

SECOND, this maneuver will take the show out of Emmy consideration next year because the eligibility period concludes on May 31.

That sound you hear? It’s of hundreds of producers from other shows standing up and cheering.

(The epic drama led all other programs in 2016 with a whopping 23 total nominations and it won Best Drama last year.)

“Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing,” said HBO’s president of production, Casey Bloys, in a statement.

“Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.”

We know what you’re all thinking in response to this news:

Shame

Oh, there’s one more piece of bad news:

Game of Thrones Season 7 will only be comprised of seven episodes; past seasons have been comprised of 10.

At the conclusion of Game of Thrones Season 6, well… a lot happened.

Cersei blew up her enemies.

Tommen committed suicide.

Cersei took over the Iron Throne.

Arya killed someone on her list.

Jon Snow was named King of the North.

Dany gathered together quite an army and we concluded the season with them sailing toward King’s Landing.

We’ve compiled a list of the most memorable moments from the finale below.

You’ll sadly now have extra time to ponder where each storyline is going, following today’s announcement from HBO.
