Nick Viall: Whoa! I"m The Bachelor?!?

Are you still shocked that Nick Viall has been chosen as the next Bachelor on ABC?

You’re not alone.

Nick Viall is as stunned as anyone.

A few days after Viall appeared on the Bachelor in Paradise after-show to announce the news, he’s made it clear over Instagram that he still can’t believe it’s true.

Yes, he’s appeared twice on The Bachelorette and is currently a cast member on the aforementioned franchise spinoff.

But still. He’s getting a FOURTH shot at love?!?

“The look when it hasn’t quite sunk in yet,” Viall wrote as a caption to the selfie above, adding:

“Couldn’t feel more fortunate. Incredibly thankful for all the support. We are going to have some fun! #thebachelor.”

Not everyone agrees with this assessment, of course.

There’s a petition going around to have both Viall AND Pell as the Bachelors this spring, with the women on the show eventually deciding who ought to be the sole star.

Viall, however, seems immune to the criticism.

Soon after being confirmed as The Bachelor, he posted with the After Paradise crew (above) and wrote on his Instagram account:

“Wow!! Couldn’t be more excited, nervous, and thankful for this opportunity!! It’s going to be a wild ride.

“Thank you to everyone for all their support! So thankful!!!! HERE WE GO!! #thebachelor #bachelorinparadise #thankyou.”

Most fans of The Bachelor had assumed that Pell would earn this gig, and that includes Pell himself.

He’s gone on record in saying just how close he actually got to standing alongside Chris Harrison when the series returns next year.

“We were all satisfied, had agreed to the contracts and everything was moving forward,” Pell told Us Weekly on Thursday.

“I was checked in to my flight to come to L.A. I got a call from producers Sunday night at about 10 p.m. They said ABC had decided to quote-unquote go in a different direction.

“I was supposed to fly out Monday morning at 9 a.m. I had my bags packed and everything. Most dramatic Monday ever!”

Wow, yeah. We’d say so.

Do you think ABC made the right call? Who would YOU want to see as the Bachelor number-21?

And the Winner is?

Viall has finished twice as the runner-up on The Bachelorette.

Many see him as an odd selection because he’s actively involved these days with Bachelor in Paradise, meaning he’s seemingly looking for love on television this summer already.

Lauren Himle – who costarred with Viall on Season 3 of that show – told Detroit’s The Ticket radio station a few days ago that she isn’t happy with how the newly-crowned Bachelor treated Jen Saviano.

“I am not a big fan of [Viall],” said Himle.

“He dated my great friend Jen on Bachelor in Paradise … but it was my understanding that they were still seeing each other after the show completed.”

Wait… so how serious were Viall and Saviano after the ABC dating show concluded filming?

Himle said they were “still together in a relationship.”

And this was just last week!

The Bachelor producers, of course, is probably loving this controversy.

Look at how many headlines the casting of Viall has generated over the past few days?

Viewers may claim that they won’t tune in to see Viall search for a wife again next spring, but let’s face it: they will.

Even if you hate watch The Bachelor online or on television, you are still watching it.

ABC will gladly take your eyeballs and the ratings they bring in.

Chris Brown vs. Baylee Curran: Who Do You Believe?

Move over, Kim Kardashian versus Taylor Swift.

There’s a new feud in Hollywood, and this one has come out with guns blazing.

Literally, according to one of the participants.

And the Winner is?

Chris Brown says he did not hold a gun to Baylee Curran’s head. Baylee Curran says he did. Who do you believe? View Poll »

On Tuesday morning, Baylee Curran paid a visit to Chris Brown’s house.

This much does not appear to be in dispute.

She spent time with a friend in Brown’s hot tub and then went inside the mansion.

This also appears to be agreed upon by both parties.

But then the stories diverge, with Curran claiming she tried to get a close look at a diamond necklace, only for Brown to flip the eff out.

Like, REALLY flip out.

The former beauty pageant winner told authorities and then various media outlets that Brown pulled a gun on her and demanded she leave his home.

Curran obeyed, called 911 and caused a standoff to take place for the next 14 hours after police arrived on the scene and Brown refused to let cops into his house.

At one point, he reportedly dropped a bag full of guns and drugs out the window. Yet he still remained inside.

After a lot of back and forth, along with some crazy Chris Brown videos, authorities obtained a search warrant and finally arrested Brown.

He was taken into custody on the felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

A few hours later, Brown was released on $ 250,000 bail and his attorney has since gone on his own media tour, telling everyone who will listen that his client is innocent.

Through this same attorney, Brown has denied all allegations against him.

Heck, he’s even released a new song!

Curran, meanwhile, has spoken to TMZ, Extra and E! News, making the most of her time in the spotlight and swearing that Brown really did stick a weapon on her face.

She says she feared for her life and his hand was on the trigger.

“I really do understand [why people think I’m doing it for publicity]…I don’t understand why he’s the victim now,” Curran told E!, adding:

“Obviously he has a lot of support, a lot of fans who are going to back him up. I’m just some random girl that wants to be in the limelight.

“Although if I wanted the limelight in fame, I wouldn’t have done it this way.”

In the end, this comes down to a case of He Said/She Said.

(Brown also thinks it comes down to a lawyer who has a personal beef with him.)

That’s why we’ve posted the poll at the top of this article. That’s why we want to know what YOU think.

Do you assume Chris Brown is guilty, due to his past with Rihanna and his clear temper problem?

Do you think Curran is simply seeking attention with this accusation?

There aren’t many other ways to interpret the situation here, right?

Either Brown is telling the truth or Curran is telling the truth.

Lena Dunham Clarifies Random Odell Beckham Jr. Diss

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League.

He makes some truly amazing catches.

But Lena Dunham is the one now caught up in an unexpected feud with the New York Giants star as a result of comments she made to Amy Schumer.

Allow us to explain…

n the Lenny Letter interview with Schumer, Dunham wrote the following about the MET Fashion Gala in New York City this past spring:

“I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards.

“He was like, ‘That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.’ It wasn’t mean – he just seemed confused.”

For the record, this is what Dunham wore to the event, which draws a crowd of A-Listers each here from Hollywood:

Continued the outspoken Girls creator:

“The vibe was very much like, ‘Do I want to f-ck it? Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.’

“It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie.

“I was like, ‘This should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes."”

It didn’t take long for Twitter users to respond to Dunham.

They thought it was offensive the way she described someone she really didn’t know, simply making assumptions about the athlete.

(Beckham Jr. was rumored to have briefly dated Khloe Kardashian a few months ago.)

“.@OBJ_3 is talented, stylish, seems super awesome and wasn’t into chatting with me at a fancy party,” Dunham Tweeted of the star.

She added that her little tale to Schumer was all about self-deprecation.

It was about her, not about Beckham.

“My story about him was clearly (to me) about my own insecurities as an average-bodied woman at a table of supermodels & athletes.

“It’s not an assumption about who he is or an expectation of sexual attention. It’s my sense of humor, which has kept me alive for 30 years.”

Clearly perplexed and a bit annoyed over the criticism she received over this pretty funny story, Dunham then asked Schumer on Twitter:

“Glad the outrage machine roars on though, right @amyschumer?”

The wideout, who is entering his third season with the Giants, has yet to respond to Dunham on Twitter.

Dunham does often say some wacky stuff. (See the gallery above).

And she has had to apologize for certain comments, such as when she compared Internet backlash to domestic violence.

But this? This seemed pretty darn harmless.

She was joking that she’s too ugly for a young, attractive athlete to want to sleep with.

Yes, somewhere in there is the assumption that this young, attractive athlete glances around at nearly every woman near him as someone he may want to sleep with.

But you need to look REALLY hard to find a controversy here.
