The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 2 Episode 5 Recap: Who Did Monique Kick Out?!?

The Potomac ladies sure know how to bring the drama, and it’s rather delightful for viewers at home.

On The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 2 Episode 5, Charrisse and Monique organized separate events, meaning we got to see more drama than usual.

When the episode got underway, Charrisse was hard at work organizing a party for the National Basketball Wives Association, but it became as clear as day that some women were not going to be welcome.

While this was going down, Ashley struggled to come to terms with the fact that her restaurant was a complete flop. Not wanting to accept defeat, she tried her best to sugar coat her dire situation.

Seeing something you love fail is tough, so we do feel bad for Ashley, but admitting defeat is the first step to moving on. Instead, she turned to Robyn for some assistance in getting the business back on track.

The event organized by Charrisse brought Juan and Robyn out of hiding, and everyone could not help but stare at them. Monique noted to the cameras that there was something amiss with the way both of them were acting.

Monique then decided it would be a good idea to quiz them on their relationship status. It was not the best way to deal with things and made it all seem even more awkward.

When that event was over, it was time to prefer for Monique’s debut event, putting all of the ladies under her own roof. Yes, it was a bad idea, but she’s trying her best.

At the event, Gizelle was quick to point out all of the errors in the night, trashing Monique in the process. It was sad, but it made for some great drama. We’re partial to a bit of drama over here at THG.

Gizelle started mouthing off to one of her friends about how crappy Monique is as a host, but they were caught by one of her friends. Awkward. The friend called them out, prompting another argument between Monique and Gizelle.

For what it’s worth, Monique tried to keep her cool. She knew she would have looked silly if she exploded at the women like that. Monique decided to leave the situation.

Ashley then opened up about the rumors that Juan had another woman. Gizelle had no idea about it, so they waited until Monique was gone to talk about it. Monique caught her in the act, before sending her out the door.

Ashley then decided to open up about Robyn’s man drama. She was not impressed but claimed she was not together with Juan. Therefore she’s fine.

The ladies then got ready for another blowout argument, but the screen faded to black before we got to see it.

Well, this sucks, but we’re pumped to see what happens next.

Can it be Sunday already?!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 9 Episode 23 Recap: Porsha"s Revelation

By now, the whole world has probably heard about Porsha Williams claiming that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker wanted to take her into their dungeon and drug her.

It’s cast a dark cloud over the latter part of the season, and there was a new twist in the tale on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 9 Episode 23. That twist came in the form of a huge revelation from Porsha about who put all of it in her head.

When the episode got underway, Peter, Bob, and Li’l Todd opened up about the events of the season. Bob was quick to send an apology to Sheree over the abusive things he said in Maui.

I mean, Sheree did deserve an apology, but you would think he would have apologized long before the reunion taping. Kandi noted that they should try and keep the peace because they have children.

Everyone seemed to agree with Kandi. It’s not normal anyone agrees with anything on this show, so we’ll take it while we can. When everyone questioned why the other Todd was not present, Peter decided to go nuclear on Porsha.

“EXCUSE ME!” he said. “Why is Todd not here tonight? I just want to know why Todd is not here because Todd should be here.” When you think about it, everyone else brought their significant others.

He’s not exactly contributed much to the narrative, but still, it must have been annoying for the others. The conversation turned to Porsha’s baby nup and whether she was making the right decision.

Phaedra advised against being a single mother, but Peter decided to turn on Phaedra in hilarious fashion.

“YO PHAEDRA, do you have the whole package?”

Um, alright then. Phaedra then confirmed that she was divorced and that she would not delve into the finer details of her marriage with them. This seemed to piss Peter off some more, as he got up to leave the set.

“Where the f— is the drink, dawg? The f— is the drink?”

This is the reason why alcohol consumption should be limited at these reunion tapings.

Porsha then decided it would be a good idea to apologize to Shamea for all of the drama she caused throughout the season.

“I want to publicly apologize for whatever I did, whatever I said, however I made you feel.”

Shouldn’t this apology have come weeks ago from Porsha? Are they purposefully leaving all of the drama for the reunion? We ain’t buying it. Shamea bought it, but seems to be mad that Phaedra used to flirt with her man.

Shamea and Phaedra bickered like crazy, but eventually, they brought their feud to an end. Porsha then told the truth about Phaedra creating rumors about everyone.

Andy asked Phaedra why she did not come clean sooner, but she boldly claimed she did not call her a lesbian. Kandi then chimed in, saying that Porsha should look to her own experiences with women.

“Well I shoulda let you go down there and eat it then, and kiss my ass while you were down there,” she claimed.

“I work for Dish Nation — I am in the world of journalism,” Porsha fired back.

She then said that she does not “want to be known as a liar, period.”

Just as we were getting to the good stuff, Porsha said she could not speak any more about it because of the cease and desist letter, but she did say that Phaedra was the one who lied.

“YOU SAID THAT?! THAT I WANTED TO DRUG HER?” Kandi screamed just before “To Be Continued” flashed on the screen.

Okay then.

What did you think of all the drama?

Selena Gomez Talks Suicide, 13 Reasons Why Controversy

For many years, Selena Gomez had to come up with a list of at least 13 reasons why she was dating a douchebag such as Justin Bieber.

No longer, however. The two have been apart for a very long time now.

But the singer has traded in that controversy for a scandal that centers on a Netflix series titled 13 Reasons Why, as she serves as a producer on the surprise smash hit.

13 Reasons Why is officially the most-Tweeted about series of 2017, with a second season very likely on the way.

It’s most popular among the same demographic that has supported Gomez for many years; that is, young and impressionable teenage girls.

And herein lies the problem, according to various mental health professionals.

The series tells the story of a high school sophomore named Hannah Baker.

We learn right away that she has committed suicide, while also having recorded a number of audio tapes that she’s handed out to those who she believes wronged her, contributing in some way to her fatal decision.

A handful of school districts around the country have sent letters home to parents, urging them to make sure their kids do not watch the show on their own.

At the same time, doctors and psychologists have taken 13 Reasons Why to task for its depiction of suicide, claiming the series glorifies the act and treats it as a form of revenge; as opposed to a serious mental health problem.

“We do not recommend that vulnerable youth, especially those who have any degree of suicidal ideation, watch this series,” The National Association of School Psychologists has said in a statement.

Those behind 13 Reasons Why have been forced to come to its defense, with lead writer Brian Yorkey saying the following:

“Many people are accusing the show of glamorizing suicide and I feel strongly – and I think everyone who made the show – feel very strongly that we did the exact opposite.

“What we did was portray suicide and we portrayed it as very ugly and very damaging.”

And now Gomez has also issued a response to the controversy.

“We stayed very true to the book and that’s initially what [author] Jay Asher created… a beautifully tragic, complicated yet suspenseful story, and I think that’s what we wanted to do,” the 24-year old  told the Associated Press, over the weekend, referencing the 2007 novel on which the show is based.

She added:

“We wanted to do it justice and, yeah, [the backlash is] going to come no matter what. It’s not an easy subject to talk about, but I’m very fortunate with how it’s doing.”

Gomez does speak from some experience here.

She has battled mental health issues, even checking into rehab last fall for about five weeks.

“Overwhelmed with the response and love @13reasonswhy is receiving,” she wrote on Instagram earlier this month, adding:

“Thank you to each beautiful person who has watched and talked about the message of our show.”

Paris Jackson, however, is among the celebrities who are wary of teenagers watching 13 Reasons Why.

The daughter of Michael Jackson has attempted suicide on multiple occasions.

She recently wrote on Instagram that 13 Reasons Why is “an extremely triggering thing to watch” and warned viewers to “only watch this show with caution and keep in mind that it may put you in a dark place.”

That’s one thing on which every viewer can agree.

If you’re looking for a laugh or for a series that doesn’t leave a lasting impact, 13 Reasons Why is not for you.
