Ariel Winter to Haters: I"ll Wear Whatever the F--k I Want!
If you follow her on Instagram, you know that Ariel Winter has a unique sense of style.
Winter’s racy Coachella look attracted more attention on social media than just about anything else at the festival, and the 19-year-old actress seemed to welcome the ensuing barrage of comments.
When it comes to the confusion and criticism of her latest red carpet look, however, Ariel is having none of it:
Ariel attended a screening of the Modern Family Season 8 finale earlier this week, and as you can see, she took a far less casual approach to the event than her co-stars.
When Twitter cracked some jokes – mostly pointing out that Ariel seemed dressed for a very different red carpet – Ms. Winter got pissed:
“Why TF does anyone care that I didn’t dress casual like everyone else for the panel? Why do I have to be like everyone else?” she wrote on Instagram.
She added:
“WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT PEOPLE! Don’t let anyone stifle who you are and how you express yourself!”
While she certainly has a point that she’s a grown woman who’s entitled to wear whatever she chooses, eccentric fashion statements by celebrities pretty much always receive mixed reactions.
Now, this isn’t like the time Ariel wore a see-through dress to a premiere for a kids’ movie.
There’s certainly nothing inappropriate about her attire.
But making a bold statement and then complaining that some of the responses have been negative smacks of missing the point.
The very reason it’s bold to wear fancy evening attire to a casual daytime event is that some people are bound take the opportunity to crack an easy joke.
When Mariah Carey goes grocery shopping in a formal gown, she just doesn’t take to Twitter the next day to complain that some people thought it was ridiculous.
She’s knows it was ridiculous, and that’s part of the point. And part of the fun.
Of course, much of this can simply be chalked up to the fact that Ariel is 19, an age at which many of us were vomiting Goldschlager out the window of our best friend’s Honda Civic and vowing to never again drink anything with tiny gold flakes in it.
We can only imagine what sort of dumb things we would’ve done if we had millions of people watching our every move and inviting us to red carpet events.
It probably would’ve involved a burrito-stained “ironic” tuxedo t-shirt.
In conclusion, everyone should stop taking Ariel Winter’s fashion choices so seriously – including Ariel Winter.
Taylor Swift Returns to Instagram!!!!!!!
Remember Taylor Swift?
You know… Taylor Swift?
The singer who is sometimes country and sometimes pop? Who has a famous circle of friends? And many well-known ex-boyfriends?
She often sings about the latter group of guys and she has broken pretty much every record out there for a solo artist?
Yes, THAT Taylor Swift! There you go!
We understand if you had forgotten all about her, considering the once-omnipresent superstar has scarcely been heard from in months.
The last thing Swift actually did that made news took place way back in January, when she released a music video with Zayn Malik.
Since then, we’ve heard a lot about Swift (both Tom Hiddleston AND Harry Styles have spoken out about their failed romances with the star), but nothing at all from Swift.
Heck, even her Instagram feed has grown quiet.
Taylor shared a picture of herself at the piano during a concert three months ago and then helped promote Lorde’s new single nine weeks ago… and that’s been it.
Until now!
On Thursday, Swift updated her account with a post that touts the band HAIM’s newest single, “Want You Back,” writing along with a photo of the group:
“On. Repeat. Til. The. End. Of. Time.”
She included a screenshot of the song on a player, with the cursor paused at 0:13, an homage to the singer’s lucky number.
So that’s something at least, right?
Not very exciting and not exactly an insight into what the heck Swift has been up to, but it’s a small nugget for desperate, anxious fans.
There’s been talk and a lot of hope that Swift is working on a a new album, hence her unusual silence.
The musician typically releases one of these every two years in the winter, so she’s already about six months behind her usual pace.
Swift positively dominated headlines in 2015 with the success of her 1989 album tour and then again in 2016, due to her highly publicized relationships with now-exes Calvin Harris and Hiddleston.
But she was called out as a liar by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West last summer in a viral incident that involved Kim sharing a phone conversation her husband her with his occasional rival.
The conversation featured Swift giving Kanye permission to rap about her in his track “Famous,” seemingly contradicting public statement she had previously made about that song.
It was an epic takedown by Kardashian, and Swift has stayed far away from the spotlight in the months that have followed.
She didn’t bother with this Monday’s MET Gala in New York City, for example, an event she has often attended since 2008.
It was at that Gala in 2016 when she engaged in a dance-off with Hiddleston and first sparked rumors of their relationship.
So, is Swift hiding out due to the shame she still feels from that Kardashian diss?
Or is she hard at work on new music?
It’s the latter, according to good friend Ed Sheeran, who told the BBC in March that his pal is simply in the recording studio.
“Taylor isn’t going to be releasing [this new album] until probably the end of this year, Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records,” he said at the time.
That’s fine. Take all the time you want, T. Swizzle.
Just come back to us at some point, okay?

Scott Disick: PISSED Over Kourtney Kardashian-Younes Bendjima Romance
As has been proven over the years, Scott Disick doesn’t typically need a reason to get drunk.
But, following the news that Kourtney Kardashian is back to banging Younes Bendjima, the reality star now has an excuse for going on an epic bender if he so desires.
Earlier this week, photos emerged online of Kourtney going on a lunch date with Bendjima in West Hollywood.
The mother of three and the professional boxer-turned-model allegedly met during Paris Fashion Week in October and were first spotted together last fall.
None other than E! News, an outlet keenly aware of all things Kardashian, confirm that something is going on between the 38-year old and her 23-year old fling.
“Kourtney and Younes have seen each other several times in the last week,” a source tells E!. “Its been casual, but they are really getting to know each other and having fun.”
In other words: Kardashian and Bendjima have been taking trips to Boom Town. Frequently.
Multiple sources have stated that Bendjima was actually out with Kourtney on the night her sister, Kim Kardashian, got robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
This created a bond with which not even Disick can compete.
“He was really helpful and supportive during that time,” the insider tells E!, noting that they’ve been seeing each other here and there ever since.
Don’t bother listening for wedding bells.
Things aren’t that serious just yet. However…
“Kourtney really likes him and will text him to meet up whenever she has time without her kids,” this mole says, adding of their recent meet-up:
“They had lunch on Wednesday at Zinque [restaurant] in West Hollywood and then briefly stopped into an art gallery to look at art…
“They were holding hands and seemed cozy.”
As you might expect, this development does not sit well with Disick, who wants to be the only man on whose face Kourtney sits.
“Scott doesn’t like Kourtney dating Younes at all,” another source shares with E!.
“He doesn’t want to see photos of them or know about it. Kourtney has tried to give Scott a heads up that he might be seeing photos, but Scott can’t stand seeing her with someone else, especially Younes.”
It certainly does seem as if Kourtney is flaunting the romance at the moment.
She had to know paparazzi cameras would snap her strolling the streets of Los Angeles with Bendjima.
Kardashian and Disick, of course, are the parents of three kids.
To their credit, they’ve been able to look past their personal issues over the years and spend a lot of quality time as a family; either at home for birthday parties or on vacations as a group.
All this time spent together has continued to spark rumors of a reconciliation.
But that clearly isn’t in the cards any time soon.
“Whether they are together or not, Scott gets really jealous when he sees or hears about Kourtney with anyone,” E! writes. “He’ll always love her, regardless of their status.”
What about Disick’s love life?
Is he getting it on with anyone at the moment?
“He’s hanging out with a few girls, but it’s very casual,” the insider says.
“He’s going out less and having people over at his house. French Montana just moved next door to Scott, and they are pretty close and hanging out.”
Okay. That’s weird and kind of incestuous, considering Montana used to date Khloe Kardashian. But whatever.
All we know is this: Kourtney is hot!
