Last week, several media outlets reported on rumors that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting back together.
It sounded absurd at first, but the couple really did give us reason to believe they were trying to work things.
Ben and Jen went to a counseling session and took their kids on several family outings all in the same week. Photos showed them laughing and smiling in each other’s presence.
It was even reported that Ben apologized for his affair with Christine Ouzounian and gave his word that he’d never stray again.
Sadly, however, if you’re still dreaming of a Bennifer reconciliation, it may be time to put those hopes to rest.
Based on the latest info from a source close to Jen, it sounds as though the 43-year-old mother of three has no interest in any sort of romantic relationship at the moment.
“Jen is doing well,” the insider tells People. “She’s still adjusting to a new normal, but seems more accepting of the separation.”
“She can’t even imagine datin. It will probably be a long time before she is able to move on romantically.”
Interestingly, Ben and Jen were spotted dining together at Nobu in Hollywood just last night. It’s said to be the first time that they’ve hung out without the kids since their separation.
Unfortunately, insiders say that if Ben is thinking reconciliation, he’s barking up the wrong tree.
