Over the weekend, Maci Bookout married Taylor McKinney in a lavish ceremony in Florida.
Okay, “lavish” might be a bit of a strong word.
Sure Maci and Taylor left the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, but they also handed out commemorative beer koozies and guests toasted the newlyweds with Bud Lights.
From the sound of things, it was a mix of high-end and rustic, a fitting juxtaposition for a beer and football-loving Tennessee girl who’s been bringing in the big bucks since she was in her teens.
There was a time when it looked like Hurricane Matthew would force a change of plans, but in the end, the weather cooperated, and Maci and Taylor’s nuptials went off without a hitch.
Naturally, there were some familiar faces for Teen Mom fans on hand – but not as many you might expect.
Producers of the show, such as Larry Musnik and Morgan J. Freeman were on hand.
Unlike other reality shows, Teen Mom producers are well-known to fans thanks to the show’s fourth-wall-breaking format.
Other than crew members who occasionally wander in front of the camera, however, famous faces were in short supply at Madi’s wedding.
In fact, it seems the only castmates who attended were Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.
The Baltierras confirmed that they were on hand for the ceremony and reception, but they didn’t post any pics from the celebration, probably per request from producers.
There’s no word on whether Maci’s ex Ryan Edwards was in attendance, but if you watch Teen Mom: OG online, you know he was definitely counting on an invite.
It’s possible that Taylor nixed that idea thanks to moments like this that seem to suggest there are still some lingering feelings between Maci and Ryan:
Of course, that leaves the question of why Maci’s other co-stars weren’t on hand.
Insiders say Amber Portwood was invited, but she’s still recovering from her “mommy makeover” plastic surgery.
That leaves Farrah Abraham, who is not terribly beloved by her fellow Teen Moms, to put it lightly.
So all-in-all, no huge surprises with regard to the guest list.
Given the amount of secrecy surrounding the wedding, it’s a safe bet that it’ll eventually be the subject of a Teen Mom special episode.
So think of it this way – you’ll get to see as much of the ceremony as Amber or Farrah!
