Do you hear that, Teen Mom fans?
Do you hear those wedding bells? Getting set to chime for Jenelle Evans and David Eason?
The infamous reality star, who has been talking about her impending nuptials often of late, revealed a pretty major hint this week on Twitter regarding when she may be walking down the aisle.
“We haven’t set a date, but we want to get married either this summer or next summer depending on how quickly we plan it,” Jenelle said the last time we checked.
She explained that Eason is pushing for the summer of 2017, but she’s leaning toward the summer of 2018.
And now it sounds as if the couple has done something very important for all successful relationships: they’ve reached a compromise.
“Time to set a wedding date soon. #Fall2017,” Evans Tweeted on Monday afternoon.
Take note of that hashtag.
While not specific date has been set, it appears as those Evans and Eason will exchange vows while surrounded by colorful leaves and some romantic, crisp air.
“We know we want a rustic-themed wedding, nothing too fancy. Something simple, maybe backyard and outdoorsy,” Evans added in her latest interview about the upcoming big day.
“We want just close friends and family, not anything crazy.”
Not anything crazy?!? What? Huh?
We guess Jenelle is going off-brand for this wedding.
Eason asked for Jenelle’s hand in marriage shortly after their daughter, Ensley Jolie, was born in late January.
(NOTE: She has three kids by three different men, while David has two children from previous relationships. We’re not judging. Just stating some facts.)
Eason proposed this winter with a beautiful pear-shaped, halo diamond sparkler.
And Jenelle has only had positive things to say since about both her fiance and the giant rock on her finger.
“David did an excellent job and I absolutely adore everything about it,” the MTV star said of the ring, adding two months ago:
“The engagement was definitely one for the books! His idea was so original and he left me speechless.”
What made it so unique?
“He told me to look at the roses on the ground and asked if I thought they were pretty,” she explained. “Of course I agreed! Then he said, ‘These are for you!’ and I said ‘no!"”
“As I looked over his shoulder, MTV was there behind the trees and I had no idea they were going to be there. He asked me to marry him and I said yes! We were both in tears.”
As for the father of her latest child himself?
“I want to marry David because he’s a great father, he’s a great best friend, he’s faithful, he’s loyal to me,” Jenelle has told MTV.
”It’s the best relationship I’ve ever had.”
The bar has been set pretty low in that regard, of course.
Evans and Eason started dating in 2015 and got engaged in February, with these latest comments making it clear that those break-up rumors are not based in fact.
Because David took a recent break from social media, some who watch Teen Mom online and who follow Jenelle’s love life far closer than they should have speculated that the romance was nearing an end.
Perhaps that explains why Jenelle has now opened up her about her wedding date season.
She wants to put all this silly split chatter to rest.
Will Jenelle and David really make it down the aisle?
How long will their marriage survive, if so?
Might this finally be a turning point in the life of the beleaguered MTV star?
Or is she destined for instability when it comes to raising her kids and locking down a man?
