Kim Kardashian to Taylor Swift: Take Your Beef Somewhere Else, Girl

Last night, the 2017 Video Music Awards were held in LA, and the event featured about as much hostility and simmering tension as Saturday’s Mayweather-McGregor bout.

Naturally, much of the vitriol was directed at Taylor Swift.

In case you somehow missed it, Swift dropped her new song, “Look What You Made Me Do”, last week, and many of the celebs she took aim at with her scathing lyrics were on hand at last night’s show.

To make matters worse, Taylor debuted her new video last night, essentially doubling down on her previous smack talk.

(Host Katy Perry wisely avoided the stage during her sworn enemy’s big moment.)

Unfortunately for lovers of high drama, Taylor might be fighting a one-woman war, as two of her biggest foes say they have no interest in engaging in a feud.

As you may recall, Kim Kardashian became Taylor’s latest rival last year, when she publicly presented proof that Taylor had given Kanye permission to use a lyric that she later described as offensive and tasteless.

Swift was openly pissed at being called out, and while she may have been lying low in recent months, she clearly hasn’t let go of her grudges.

If the lyrics to her new single made everyone wonder if Tay was trash-talking Kim and Kanye, the video answered that question with a resounding “yes.”

The jabs at Kim and Kanye are subtle, but unmistakable.

Serpents slither around Taylor’s feet in an apparent reference to Kim describing Taylor as a snake in a 2016 interview.

At one point, Taylor is seen decked out in diamonds while sitting in a bathtub, which many have interpreted as open mockery of one of Kim’s most widely-derided Instagram posts.

And in the most direct shot of all, Taylor utters a line she made famous when the Kimye scandal erupted last year, saying:

“I’d very much like to be excluded from this narrative.”

An ironic sentiment to express in a video that’s basically a visual diss track, but maybe that was her point.

Anyway, it may all be for nought, as TMZ is reporting today that Kim and Kanye have zero interest in engaging in a feud with Taylor.

The site says Kim views the beef as dead and buried, having declared herself victorious way back when she posted the incriminating evidence online.

As for Kanye, he has bigger fish to fry.

West’s feud with Jay Z reportedly consumes the bulk of his energy these days, with the rapper apparently desparate to get back into his mentor’s good graces.

“They’re like brothers who fight but feel bad about it and always end up coming together,” a source tells TMZ.

From a strategic standpoint, this is the smartest thing the Wests could do.

If they just sit back while Taylor continues to fume, she winds up looking like the thing she pretends to hate most–a mean girl bully.
