The two share a kiss, and Demi ends up singing while straddling Kehlani.
Part of Demi Lovato"s Tell Me You Love Me Tour involves her lounging on a bed and showing off her glorious thighs.
Well, as you"ll see in the video below, Kehlani sneaks up behind Demi during her performance.
This leads to the two of them locking lips on stage, to the delight of the audience.
The unscripted moment continues with Demi straddling Kehlani on the bed while she continues to sing.
It"s probably safe to say that attendees knew that they"d get their money"s worth when they bought their tickets. But it"s very unlikely that any of them expected to be treated to such a show.
Kehlani gave Demi a shout-out on Instagram, and also shed some further light on how that moment had come to be.
""Twas a dream getting to do this tour with you," Kehlani wrote in her captions.
"Watching you every night was a learning experience and you forever have a fan and supporter in me."
She then explains what led her to surprise Demi on stage like that.
"Tonight your dancers put me up to this, but anyone would be stupid not to jump at the chance to hop on that damn moving bed and grab your face looooool."
It was a beautiful moment.
"I love you and appreciate you, beautiful. cheers to you, more life and success on the rest of the legs of this tour."
These two talented singers have more in common than just their good looks and talent and careers.
Demi Lovato has spoken about suicidal thoughts, and recently admitted that she was struggling with suicidal ideation by age 7.
Kehlani is unfortunately no stranger to this battle.
Just two years ago, Kehlani revealed to fans that she had attempted suicide.
Recovery is a lengthy process, and many people find that it"s easier to be honest about their mental health with people who have been through similar circumstances.
Demi"s tour has also had its moments of real vulnerability. Recently, Demi celebrated six years of sobriety while on stage, saying:
"Yesterday, six years ago, I was drinking vodka out of a Sprite bottle at nine in the morning, throwing up in the car."
If you"re drinking enough to throw up on any kind of regular basis, you"re probably drinking too much, medically speaking.
She says that she had an epiphany.
"I remember thinking, "This is no longer cute, this is no longer fun. And I"m just like my dad.""
If you"re doing something and it"s neither helpful nor fun, it"s usually time to stop.
"So I took a look at my life, and I said, "Something has to change. Something has to change, I"ve gotta get sober" — so I did."
She"s done an amazing job of getting sober.
Despite what Demi has said about her sexuality and what fans saw on stage, this doesn"t necessarily mean that these gal pals are dating.
This was, after all, a performance. A very fun and sexy one, but still a performance.
