Kim Kardashian Tries to Explain Away Kanye"s MET Gala Absence
Kim Kardashian got stood up on Monday night.
Sort of.
The former sex tape star and distributor was forced to walk the red carpet of the annual MET Gala in New York City by herself, prompting many to wonder about the whereabouts of husband Kanye West.
Was he off campaigning for Donald Trump?
Hanging with the only person who understands him, according to certain reports, Scott Disick?
Screaming into the void on Twitter, preparing to be taken to a mental ward?
Nope, nope and nope, Kim told her social media followers shortly after Monday’s fashion event wrapped up.
Kardashian said that West was not by her side simply because he’s too busy working on new music that will debut later this year.
“Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you’re only finishing up 5 albums,” Kim wrote in reply to Kanye commenting on a few sexy photos of his wife last night.
It is true that the rapper has promised to released two new albums this summer.
This is why most folks out there assume his ongoing rants and raves are just a marketing ploy.
Consider: a few short weeks ago, no one was saying a word about Kanye West. He hadn’t really spoken out in public in months.
But now? The President of the United States is referencing him in speeches and anyone with an Internet connection is commenting on his latest controversy.
Is this a good thing, though?
Is all publicity truly good publicity, even if it means you’re saying black people chose to be slaves?
We guess time will tell, but one insider recently claimed Kardashian is thinking about filing for divorce from Kanye.
This individual alleges Kim simply can’t get through to her husband and is also annoyed that he’ll be off touring and promoting his albums this summer, leaving her alone with three young kids.
Learn more about this story below:
Until Kanye does leave her behind, however, the famous couple is trying to spend as much time together as possible.
They just took off for Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for example, largely so Kanye could focus on his music there in peace.
“Kim happily joined Kanye in Jackson Hole,” writes People Magazing, adding:
“She wants to be supportive so he can finish his album. The album has caused Kanye a lot of stress. He is a perfectionist and wants the music to be amazing.”
Too bad he can’t say the same thing about his views on politics, history and society.
Before heading off to New York City yesterday, the 37-year-old mom of three headed to Las Vegas for a reunion with high school pals, which included a Cher concert.
She’s trying to keep herself busy, while also trying to ignore her husband’s social media rambling we assume.
“The Kardashians are really trying to convince Kanye to go and get some help,” a source close to the family told Radar Online earlier this month, concluding:
“He is like a loose cannon right now, and no one knows what to do next.”
Yeah. Good luck with that, Kim!
(P.S. We did love your dress last night.)

Wendy Williams Announces Illness, Leave of Absence
We often make fun of Wendy Williams.
And for mostly a very good reason:
She really does suck a whole lot.
This is someone who spends every single talk show saying cruel things about other celebrities.
And not just cruel thing, but REALLY cruel things that have no basis in fact.
She just speculates wildly about stars and topics in the news, even saying at one recent point that she is sick of the #MeToo Movement and slamming Kylie Jenner’s baby as ugly.
Williams just does not come across as a very good person.
All that said, we don’t wish her any kind of physical harm. We aren’t monsters, folks.
This is why we’d like to send Wendy our best wishes in light of the news she shared this morning with her studio audience.
Williams has confirmed a diagnosis of hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease for herself.
As a result, you won’t be seeing her on the small screen any time in the near future.
“My doctor has prescribed – are you ready? – three weeks of vacation,” she told viewers after detailing her symptoms, which include difficulty sleeping and irritability.
She added: “I was pissed. Encore performances, really?”
Hey, Wendy, one’s health always comes first. Remember that.
Williams explained that Graves’ disease squeezes the muscles behind the eyeballs and said she thinks she experienced this symptom because she was focusing on her work AND on her son’s college applications.
She is such a trooper.
“I’ll be back in two [weeks],” Williams added, saying randomly and annoyingly:
“I’m not an heiress – who is going to pay my bills? Are you serious? I’m just saying, I come from working class.”
Yeah. You’re a millionaire, Wendy. Just shut up already.
In a statement to various entertainment news outlets, the talk show said the following:
Wendy is a true champion and has never missed a day of work. But her health and well-being must be put before all else.
Wendy has been openly dealing with her Graves’ disease for many years in addition to hyperthyroidism. Yesterday, Wendy’s doctor prescribed a necessary three weeks of rest to get her levels and medication in sync.
The show will be in repeats during this unplanned hiatus. A live show was produced today so that Wendy could speak directly to her fans and explain her condition.
Williams concluded her message by again stating that Oprah is fat.
Just kidding.
She instead told women (not men, just women) to insure they always have an eye on their health.
“What I want to say to women, more than men, is stop putting everyone first because if we’re not good, they’re not good.”
What a weird thing to say, right?
Williams previously had a health scare in October of last year, when she fainted during her live Halloween episode.
Producers rushed to the stage as the broadcast cut to a commercial.
When Wendy returned a few minutes later, she explained that she was dehydrated and overheated in her Statue of Liberty costume.

Alex Trebek Takes Leave of Absence After Brain Surgery
What is… very disappointing news?
The announcement just made by Alex Trebek.
In a video posted on YouTube, the veteran Jeopardy host announced late Thursday that he will be taking a hiatus from the beloved game show.
Why?
Because he recently underwent brain surgery.
That’s a pretty good reason, huh?
Trebek, who has hosted the aforementioned program for 33 years, says he has been suffering from a subdural hematoma, which causes blood clots, as a result of a bad fall he took in October.
Donning a yellow sweater, jeans and a blue “Jeopardy!” hat, the 77-year-old uses his world famous tone below to address the camera and refer to the procedure he recently underwent as “a slight medical problem.”
Adds the host:
“Surgery was performed. After two days in the hospital, I came home to start recovery.
“The prognosis is excellent, and I expect to be back in the studio taping more Jeopardy! programs very, very soon.”
Trebek did not give an exact date for his return, however.
Sony Pictures Entertainment, the company that produces the game show, said in aits own statement that Trebek was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on December 15.
He underwent surgery the next day.
“He is expected to make a full and complete recovery,” the company says, adding:
“Alex spent Christmas at home with his family, and he will return to the Jeopardy! studio for taping in mid-January.”
The show is taped in advance, so viewers can expect to see new episodes each night for the next few weeks.
Sony says the only change in the Jeopardy schedule will be a delay the show’s annual college championship; instead of being taped next week, it will be taped in March.
Look for it to air in April.
Trebek recently renewed his contract to continue hosting the game show through the 2019-2020 season, based on a Sony Pictures Entertainment press release in May.
In June of 2014, the Guinness Book of World Records presented Trebek with an award for the most times one person has hosted the same show.
At the time, he had never missed a taping, not even due to illness.
“It’s an honor to hold the Guinness World Record for hosting Jeopardy!, which I’ve often said is the best of reality T.V.,” Trebek said back then.
This man is a living legend.
So let’s hope he continues to live for a very long time.
Please join us in sending the best wishes to Alex Trebek.

Kailyn Lowry Explains Absence From Teen Mom 2 Special
On Christmas Day, MTV aired a “year-end special” featuring the casts of both Teen Mom: OG and Teen Mom 2, entitled Teen Mom That’s a Wrap 2017.
Yes, at this point, the Teen Mom franchise is like the NFL, and what was once a weekly event will soon be pounded into your brain on a daily basis until MTV is forced to relent due to the increased frequency of serious injuries.
The show is placing greater demands on its roster of talent than ever, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that some stars are now opting to remain on the bench.
As many viewers noted, Kailyn Lowry was the only regular cast member of either series to not appear in the special.
It was widely speculated that the decision had something to do with Kailyn’s feud with Jenelle Evans, which has only intensified in recent months.
But Kail insists that’s not the case.
She says she bowed out of the proceedings for the simple reason that the episode was filmed 3,000 miles from her home, and at the time, her youngest son was just 10 weeks old and needed his mother.
“While of course I was invited to participate in it — and had planned to film in it — I had to leave to be with my son, Lux, who was only 10 weeks old at the time,” Lowry told Us Weekly in a recent interview.
“People who were watching the special this week when it aired, though, started tweeting me about it and were filling in their own blanks and coming up with other reasons as to why they thought I was absent.”
To drive home her point, Kailyn reiterated that there was one reason and one reason only that she wasn’t in the studio that day:
“My absence from the special, though, had nothing to do with anything other than my son needing me,” Kail continued.
“The special was filmed in California — and we live on the East Coast — so the time change coupled with the late filming of the special were just too much for us.”
She added:
“My priorities are my kids and I’m happier that I got to have that night with Lux.”
Kail concluded:
“Plus, after hearing about the special and how it ended I’m glad I didn’t miss anything fun. To reiterate again, it had nothing to do with anyone else that was going. I just needed to handle my family stuff.”
Sounds like Lowry is happy she was able to dodge a bit of drama for once.
Of course, that just means her face-to-face confrontation with Jenelle will likely be all the more heated when it does happen.
Needless to say, fans can’t wait.
Watch Teen Mom 2 online for more from fan favorite Kail.

Tarek El Moussa Celebrates His Birthday, His Son"s Birthday, and the Absence of Christina El Moussa
Christina El Moussa Finally Responded to Tarek El Moussa’s divorce filing, so any hopes that the Flip or Flop couple would pull through and stick together have, well, flopped.
In fact, apparently their current tensions or whatever are such that Tarek and Christina threw separate birthday parties for their son to avoid making other people there “uncomfortable.” Not a great sign.
It’s not all bad, though. Tarek El Moussa shared a slew of photos and gave an interview about what he expects out of the divorce.
First, though, he congratulated his adorable 2-year-old son, Brayden, on his very special day.
“Happy Birthday to my BIG BOY!!!! I can’t believe my little homie is 2 years old!!! LOL he attacked the cake!!”
Second birthdays are a big deal, because children might actually remember them.
(I remember my second birthday. Well, mostly the cake)
But Brayden and Tarek have birthdays back-to-back, so Tarek also wished himself a happy birthday:
“Daddy’s b-day!! WOW I can’t believe I turned 36 today!! Brayden was born 4 hours before my birthday!”
That’s gonna get awkward over the years as they develop very different ideas about what sort of birthday is enjoyable.
“Scroll through these pics….(swipe the photo to see the collage)….my kids are just full of joy and happiness and I’m the luckiest father alive!!!!“
We have the highlights of those pics for you, don’t worry.
He follows that with three heart emojis, and then:
“…OH AND ME AND MY DAD FINALLY TOOK A PIC!!! He’s in the slideshow!”
Painful grammatical error aside, a lot of people wanted to see the two side-by-side.
So here you go:
It wasn’t all just about the party and happy family relationships, though.
Tarek El Moussa was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight and shared his thoughts on his divorce from his wife and costar.
(And, you know, no matter how amicable — and their divorce is kinda amicable, at least, despite the gun incident that preceded their separation — divorce is not fun for anybody involved)
Tarek was asked if Christina was going to attend.
“Unfortunately, today she’s not going to be here. We’ve been going through our situation, and I felt like today might be better if we stay separated.”
That’s not a great sign for the future of Flip or Flop, you know?
We know that Tarek and Christina El Moussa want Flip or Flop to continue, but if they can’t even attend their son’s birthday together, how are they going to remain as costars?
Of course, it seems like Tarek’s hinting that friends and relatives may be a larger problem than the pair of exes themselves.
“You know, we pretty much decided we were gonna do separate things with Brayden this year. Just to make it more comfortable for everybody involved.”
Sometimes, having friends and family in your corner can backfire a little.
As we mentioned, Christina El Moussa filed her own divorce papers recently. Tarek is playing it cool regarding that:
“That’s just part of the process.”
That’s very mature.
As you may recall, Tarek’s initial filing was asking for money from her.
Christina’s filing is asking for money from him.
But maybe that’s just part of the haggling process.
Tarek expresses high hopes for the future, for the light at the end of the divorce tunnel:
“Eventually, we’re gonna get divorced, continue to work together, co-parent, have a great life.”
That is powerfully optimistic.
He and Christina are both certainly motivated to continue with Flip or Flop, as that’s kind of a goldmine that they wouldn’t want to abandon prematurely.
We don’t know how all of this is going to impact their on-screen chemistry, though.
Sometimes exes work well together and sometimes it’s a disaster that no one can hide.
We’re just going to have to wait and see.
