Kim Kardashian Tries to Explain Away Kanye"s MET Gala Absence
Kim Kardashian got stood up on Monday night.
Sort of.
The former sex tape star and distributor was forced to walk the red carpet of the annual MET Gala in New York City by herself, prompting many to wonder about the whereabouts of husband Kanye West.
Was he off campaigning for Donald Trump?
Hanging with the only person who understands him, according to certain reports, Scott Disick?
Screaming into the void on Twitter, preparing to be taken to a mental ward?
Nope, nope and nope, Kim told her social media followers shortly after Monday’s fashion event wrapped up.
Kardashian said that West was not by her side simply because he’s too busy working on new music that will debut later this year.
“Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you’re only finishing up 5 albums,” Kim wrote in reply to Kanye commenting on a few sexy photos of his wife last night.
It is true that the rapper has promised to released two new albums this summer.
This is why most folks out there assume his ongoing rants and raves are just a marketing ploy.
Consider: a few short weeks ago, no one was saying a word about Kanye West. He hadn’t really spoken out in public in months.
But now? The President of the United States is referencing him in speeches and anyone with an Internet connection is commenting on his latest controversy.
Is this a good thing, though?
Is all publicity truly good publicity, even if it means you’re saying black people chose to be slaves?
We guess time will tell, but one insider recently claimed Kardashian is thinking about filing for divorce from Kanye.
This individual alleges Kim simply can’t get through to her husband and is also annoyed that he’ll be off touring and promoting his albums this summer, leaving her alone with three young kids.
Learn more about this story below:
Until Kanye does leave her behind, however, the famous couple is trying to spend as much time together as possible.
They just took off for Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for example, largely so Kanye could focus on his music there in peace.
“Kim happily joined Kanye in Jackson Hole,” writes People Magazing, adding:
“She wants to be supportive so he can finish his album. The album has caused Kanye a lot of stress. He is a perfectionist and wants the music to be amazing.”
Too bad he can’t say the same thing about his views on politics, history and society.
Before heading off to New York City yesterday, the 37-year-old mom of three headed to Las Vegas for a reunion with high school pals, which included a Cher concert.
She’s trying to keep herself busy, while also trying to ignore her husband’s social media rambling we assume.
“The Kardashians are really trying to convince Kanye to go and get some help,” a source close to the family told Radar Online earlier this month, concluding:
“He is like a loose cannon right now, and no one knows what to do next.”
Yeah. Good luck with that, Kim!
(P.S. We did love your dress last night.)

Kanye Tries to Explain Slavery Comment, Is SUCH an Idiot
Kanye West may have finally crossed a line.
The rapper has been spewing nonsense for weeks now, ever since announcing that he"s releasing new music in the summer of 2018.
When he expressed heartfelt affection for Donald Trump, Twitter users shook their head.
But when he wondered why black people were enslaved for "400 years" while speaking to TMZ and then said the answer had to be because they WANTED to be, well…
… Twitter users nearly broke their computer screens.
Scroll down to see a few responses to Kanye"s opinion and then to see how Kanye is attempting to explain himself:
1. Is He Sick or Is He Smart?
2. Getting Schooled
3. Down with Kanye
4. Sorry, Kanye Lovers
5. Okay, So Let Me Explain…
6. It Was a Numbers Game!
Kanye West Going Off Meds Could Explain Slavery is "a Choice" Comment
Kanye West is not taking his meds, and people close to him believe some of the comments he made on “TMZ Live” were a result of that. Kanye himself said he was shunning doctors who ordered him to take 3 pills a day … he says it seriously messed…

Brandi Glanville: I Can Totally Explain Why I Tweeted a Nude Selfie!
It looks like Brandi Glanville has been drink-tweeting again. We’ve all been there, but most of us don’t post nudes while we’re at it.
In the tantalizing thirst trap that Brandi tweeted and deleted, the reality star is wearing nothing but a pair of panties. And she’s barely wearing those.
See the steamy pic and her explanation for why she posted it in the first place, below.
Accompanying the initial photo, Brandi wrote:
“Having an @kourtneykardashian sexy mom moment.”
While Kourtney is undoubtedly both a mother and very sexy, it’s kind of funny that she’s the touchstone — at least in Brandi’s mind — of hot moms.
Brandi then makes a little dig at Kourtney, but immediately makes it clear that it’s all in good fun.
“I named my son Mason first jk. Mad love.”
Brandi has since deleted the original tweet, but a cropped version of the sexy photo survives.
Take a look:
She looks incredible.
Unfortunately, the backlash that she received was enough that she felt the need to not only delete the tweet, but explain herself to her fans and followers.
Under an image of her book, which is not-so-coincidentally titled: Drinking & Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders, she writes:
“Sooo this happened last night :/”
Hey, there’s no need for shame, girl.
“I guess it’s #1 because it’s still an epidemic anyway they are just boobs.”
She’s absolutely right. It’s sad that some people can’t handle the hotness.
“Ugh live and learn #drinking and tweeting.”
Look, if drinking and tweeting were a crime, we’d all be in jail.
Brandi has shown her stuff on social media before.
But she continues to explain her mindset when she shared that nude selfie.
And honestly … it’s kind ofa bummer.
“I was having a mom of two and not bad for 45 moment after a crappy date.”
That crappy date may have been with a man named “Aaron,” based upon her previous tweets.
This is where it gets sad.
“Sometimes we all question wether we’re still desirable or not.”
Brandi is notoriously hot. We wish that she weren’t so plagued by doubts.
Recently, Brandi made peace with her long-time adversary, Leann Rimes.
While obviously, a woman cannot “steal” another’s husband unless she literally kidnaps him, Eddie Cibrian did cheat on Brandi with Leann and then leave Brandi for Leann.
That was followed by Leann seeming to flaunt her relationship with Brandi’s children on social media.
Many perceived that as a directly hurtful jab at Brandi, and it went on for years.
But now, they’ve totally buried the hatchet. And the results are beautiful — and definitely what’s best for the children.
However, just because Brandi has made nice with her ex and his wife doesn’t mean that her life is free of troubles. She’s still looking for love.
We don’t know what made her feel like she wasn’t desirable.
Perhaps it was that she didn’t get the impression that this guy — whose name may have been Aaron — was into her.
Or maybe he flat-out told her that he didn’t want to date her again.
It’s even possible (again, just possible) that the two hooked up but he found himself unable to perform, and Brandi somehow interpreted that to mean that she was not desirable.
Or maybe the guy was just obnoxious and she found herself wondering why she can’t find a decent guy. Who knows.
We wish Brandi better luck next time. She’s gorgeous and she deserves to be happy.

Jim Bob Duggar: Let Me Explain Grandparenting to You ...
We haven’t heard a worse announcement of celebrities taking their show on the road since the news that Bill Cosby is coming to town.
This time around, the advice-givers who should be giving advice to exactly no one are Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Specifically, they’re hosting an event where they’ll tell people how to be grandparents.
Not everybody has the gumption to think that they are in a position to tell other people who are experienced with life and parenting how exactly they should go about being grandparents.
But not everybody is the Duggar patriarch, Jim Bob Duggar.
The Duggars tend to try to portray their critics as anti-Christian, but their particular vein of fundamentalism is so extreme that most criticisms against the reality family come from Christians themselves.
This is a family where daughters are viewed as essentially the property of their fathers until they’re married off — at which point they must submit and belong to their husbands.
Some of Jim Bob’s daughters seem to be able to break away from their family beliefs only when they marry, as Jim Bob has some passionate disagreements about theology with some of his sons-in-law.
Even in the area of parenting, the Duggars have been accused of terrible things, including physical abuse and covering up the fact that their son, Josh Duggar, molested five young girls.
So they’re not really in a position to give anyone advice.
But you know that some of their hardcore fans will go anyway.
In the Duggar Family blog, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar extend an invitation for people to attend their grandparenting seminar.
“You’re invited to a free grandparenting conference!”
Tell us that that doesn’t send a chill right down your spine!
“If you’re a grandparent in Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, or Texas, you won’t want to miss this special event on September 16th: The Heart of Grandparenting Conference in our hometown, Springdale, Arkansas.”
Surely the people of Texas have better things to be doing than learning how to grandparent … especially since being a grandparent is usually a no-brainer compared to parenting.
“You will hear about the joys and challenges of grandparenting and how to use your spiritual influence to bless your children and grandchildren.”
First of all, wouldn’t grandparents — the people they’re inviting — already know the joys and challenges of being who and what they are?
Second of all, though, most people of any faith would know how to bless or otherwise pray for their children and grandchildren.
“You’ll hear from grandparenting expert Dr. Ken Canfield as well as Marcheita Anderson, wife of Arkansas basketball coach Mike Anderson.”
From what we’ve looked up, Ken Canfield professes to be an expert on fatherhood, and seems to believe that male children in particular need male role models in their lives.
It’s the next line of their invitation that is the most disturbing, however.
“Michelle and I will also share a few insights that we are learning with eight, going on a hundred plus grandchildren. Hope to see you there!”
Basically, they openly admit that they expect their children to follow in their footsteps.
This isn’t a surprise, just a troubling reminder.
A lot of parents expect grandchildren, even though their children’s decisions about having kids are none of their business.
But expecting to have over 100 children?
Every day, we feel more and more sympathy for the Duggar children.
(Except for Josh)
The event will be free and take place next Saturday.
Some people might wonder what the Duggars are up to if they’re hosting a free event.
(Lots of reality stars, especially the ones with small but very vocal fanbases, use events like this one to cash in on people’s desire to throw money their way)
There’s always a chance that some promotional items like books or merchandise will be promoted at the event.
(Maybe from this Ken Caufield fellow)
For the Duggars, though, this is probably about promoting their beliefs and lifestyle to people like-minded enough to attend.

Aaron Sorkin Attempts to Explain Trump in Open Letter to Daughter
As the creator of The West Wing and writer of The American President and A Few Good Men, Aaron Sorkin knows a thing or two about the drama of politics.
But like most of us, Sorkin would prefer that his presidents bring him to tears by falling in love with Annette Bening, and not by promising to deport 13 million people.
Earlier today, Vanity Fair published a moving open letter that the beloved showrunner and screenwriter wrote to his wife and teenage daughter in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential election.
“America didn’t stop being America last night and we didn’t stop being Americans and here’s the thing about Americans: Our darkest days have always — always — been followed by our finest hours,” Sorkin wrote in the letter, which you can read in full here.
He went on to offer words of encouragement and hope, as well as a reminder that those who are feeling outraged and frightened by the election of Trump must lean on one another for support:
“First of all, we remember that we’re not alone.
“A hundred million people in America and a billion more around the world feel exactly the same way we do. … We’ll f–king fight. (Roxy, there’s a time for this kind of language and it’s now.) We’re not powerless and we’re not voiceless.”
While his overall tone was optimistic, Sorkin didn’t mince words when it came to describing the support base that allowed Trump to be elected, writing:
“And it wasn’t just Donald Trump who won last night—it was his supporters too. The Klan won last night. White nationalists. Sexists, racists and buffoons.”
“Angry young white men who think rap music and Cinco de Mayo are a threat to their way of life (or are the reason for their way of life) have been given cause to celebrate.
“Men who have no right to call themselves that and who think that women who aspire to more than looking hot are shrill, ugly, and otherwise worthy of our scorn rather than our admiration struck a blow for misogynistic sh-theads everywhere.
“Hate was given hope.”
He concluded by reminding his daughter that “the battle isn’t over, it’s just begun.”
“Grandpa fought in World War II and when he came home this country handed him an opportunity to make a great life for his family,” Sorkin wrote.
“I will not hand his granddaughter a country shaped by hateful and stupid men. Your tears last night woke me up, and I’ll never go to sleep on you again.”
Many had hoped that after Trump’s election, he would apologize for the more inflammatory and bigoted statements he made during his campaign and do his best to ease tensions among the increasingly divided segments of the American population.
He has yet to do so.

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Explain Why They Attended Marriage Counseling
Earlier this week, we reported that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have entered marriage counseling.
Along with professional therapists and several other couples, the Duggars embarked on a retreat in Ozark National Forest amidst rumors that the many Duggar scandals of the past year had put a strain on their relationship.
In response to those rumors Michelle and Jim Bob posted a statement on their Facebook page and explained to People magazine that their marriage was simply in need of a little fine-tuning.
“Beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful truths!” the Duggars said of the retreat that they claim brought them closer together.
They reportedly told People that the retreat was timed so that they would be back in their hometown of Tontitown, Arkansas several weeks before Jessa Duggar’s due date.
Jessa is expected to give birth to her first child on November 1, which also happens to be her one-year wedding anniversary.
There’s no denying that 2015 has been packed with scandals and public humiliations for the Duggars, but unfortunately they now find themselves in a position where critics and former fans are looking for controversy where none exists.
We’re sure Michelle and Jim Bob’s marriage is just fine. And we’re still hoping Anna will leave Josh while he’s in rehab, but that’s neither here nor there!

Despite constantly teasing celebs on Watch What Happens Live!, Andy Cohen says he never likes hurting anyone’s feelings!
But after making what he thought was a harmless joke about Tori Spelling, he ended up accidentally offending her more — because he misread an email!
The Bravo host told the story on Wednesday’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which began after he made a joke about the 90210 alum suffering third-degree burns in April while eating at a Benihana.

Cohen revealed that Spelling shortly afterwards sent him an email saying how she felt the joke was uncalled for.
When Cohen sent an apology email back, he accidentally offended her AGAIN in his response when he told her to “EAT SOMETHING” — all because he misread her original email!
