Christina Grimmie: Autopsy Reveals Singer Shot In Head and Chest
Official detalis surrounding the death of former Voice contestant Christina Grimmie were released on July 22nd.
After the June 10th homicide in Orlando, FL, the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office stated that Grimmie, 22, died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Her killer, Kevin Loibl, died from a self-inflected gunshot wound to the head.
The report, obtained by Us Weekly, states the following:
“In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death, and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, and review of the available medical records, it is in my opinion that the death of Christina Grimmie, a 22-year-old white female witnessed to have been shot by another and subsequently transported to the hospital, is the result of gunshot wounds of the head and chest,” the medical examiner’s report read.
“The manner of death is homicide.”
Loibl approached Grimmie, who was signing merchandise after a performance. The Florida native shot Grimmie, and was then tackled to the ground by her brother, Marcus.
During the struggle, Loibl shot himself.
Grimmie was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars revealed their heartbreak at learning of the New Jersey native’s death.
A few days after the murder, Selena Gomez broke down while speaking about Grimmie during her concert in Miami.
“When she was 14, we met her. My parents and I signed her,” Gomez revealed.
“And one thing about Christina and her family, is that she holds her faith so closely to her. It’s not about her religion, and it’s not about good deeds. It’s just that she had faith.
“And I don’t really understand how this happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her.”
Adam Levine, who worked closely with her on NBC’s The Voice, paid for Grimmie’s funeral, which took place in New Jersey on June 17th.

Prince: Autopsy Complete, Coroner Discusses Results
The autopsy of Prince Rogers Nelson, known to the world as simply “Prince,” has been completed, the coroner’s office announced today.
The procedure lasted four hours and was finished by 1 p.m. central time, and the body will be released to the family later today.
While fans eagerly await the official cause of death, results will likely not be available for several weeks.
“Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained,” read a statement released by the coroner.
“Gathering the results will take several days and the results of a full toxicology scan could likely take weeks,” the statement continued.
The office also stated that Prince’s medical and family history will be analyzed as part of a complete exam.
“Anything which could be relevant to the investigation will be taken into consideration,” the coroner continued.
Yesterday, Prince was found unresponsive in an elevator in his Minnesota home at age 57.
He was pronounced dead after EMTs failed to resuscitate him with CPR.
As the world mourns the artist who Justin Timberlake called “our greatest living musician,” fans are trying to make sense of Prince’s untimely death.
Yesterday, TMZ reported that the Purple One had been treated for a drug overdose just six days before he died.
Today, sources revealed that Prince had been taking Percoset to relieve pain in his hips, and that he had OD’d on the opiate.
At the time, reps for the artist said he had been suffering from the flu, but given that his plane made an emergency landing to treat him, many suspected there was more to the story.
Matt Fink, a former keyboardist for Prince’s band The Revolution, was one of the skeptics.
“I can’t believe it was flu related,” Fink said.

Bobby Brown: FURIOUS Over Bobbi Kristina Autopsy Release
Today, the official cause of death of Bobbi Kristina Brown was released: drowning associated with drug intoxication.
Now, just hours after the announcement, Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, has released an official statement regarding the death of his daughter.
“First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born,” Brown told Us Weekly in a statement.
“Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl. For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family.”
The singer’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, included a statement as well:
“Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown. While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation.
“Bobby Brown has had to be strong and mourn his loved ones in a fashion that is foreign to most people. So public, so raw, with apparently no end in sight. Hopefully public indictments and prosecution will lead to private healing and closure for Bobby Brown and his family.”
Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious and face down in a bathtub in January of last year in a home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon.
She was placed in a medically-induced coma and died six months later in July.
Gordon is now facing a civil suit filed by her family.
He has been accused of killing Bobbi Kristina by injecting her with poison following a “violent altercation” that “left her battered and bruised, with a tooth knocked out.”
Bobbi Kristina is buried next to her mother, the late singer Whitney Houston, in New Jersey.
