Courtney Stodden: I Mix Booze And Pills So I Don"t Jump Out A Window!
Mixing prescription medications — including medical marijuana — and alcohol is recommended by zero doctors. This is worrisome.
Courtney Stodden’s been through life stresses at 22 that most people don’t experience until they’re decades older — if ever.
She’s a reality star, so there’s the stress of fame. There’s her mother, Krista Keller, who is a real piece of work and from whom Courtney is estranged.
That distance from Mommy Dearest is exactly right for Courtney’s well-being, but it’s also a serious life stressor. She had a famous and tragic miscarriage in 2016 and she’s still grieving.
And, oh by the way, Courtney’s getting a divorce.
Divorces, no matter how amicable, always make the lists of life’s biggest stressors. It’s up there with death of a loved one. Add to that the fact that her husband, Doug Hutchison, is 34 years her senior.
He was already 50 when she married him … at 16. That’s not on Courtney; that’s on her mother and on Doug.
Everybody has their own coping mechanisms, and not all of them are necessarily healthy.
Courtney recently spoke about her desires, and it’s hard to hear this and not be concerned.
“I just want some normalcy now … and I don’t know if I’m coping in the most healthy way,” she admitted on The Doctors.
“I also have been taking anti-anxiety medication, otherwise I literally feel like I’m going to jump out the window. Sometimes, I have medical marijuana, but that doesn’t really help because I start having a panic attack.”
At least she knows what works and what doesn’t. More importantly, she knows that what she’s doing now isn’t helping. It sounds trite, but just admitting it is the first step to making things better.
For a reality star who people love to classify as a “dumb blonde,” Courtney seems very aware of the factors that are influencing her state of mind.
For one thing, her marriage to a 50-year-old man when she was 16. “My mother was the one who granted permission. Now, when I’m explaining the story, it’s like: ‘Oh God, this is crazy!"”
Well, yeah.
“I went from my parents to another parental figure,” she remarks with some brutal honesty. Ugh, that whole situation was so creepy.
At 22, now separated from Doug, she’s finally getting to be a young person. Even though she says that she feels like she’s “lived so many lives at such a young age,” and she’s not wrong, she is still a young woman who didn’t get to have the normal experiences of early adulthood.
Being young usually involves partying. Especially when you’re beautiful and famous.
Well, not if you’re in a fertility cult. Sorry, Duggar girls.
If you think about it, Courtney spent what could have been her college years married to a middle-aged actor. That’s not a normal life. To an extent, some partying and even some pill-popping are much more age-appropriate behaviors than, say, her marriage.
But it is important for her to find the right balance. That means weighing having a healthy amount of fun with staying alive.
“I literally feel like my coping mechanisms could lead to a disastrous, vicious situation,” she admits. “I think if I seek the proper coping mechanisms, I could turn this around and be the young woman that I want to be.”
Fortunately, she’s talking about this openly — especially on The Doctors, where they offered to go over her medications and see what was working and what might need to change.
But the fact that she’s talking about all of this in the public sphere is enough to show that she wants to make sure that her celebrations of newfound freedom aren’t cut tragically short.
It would be horrible if the substances that she uses to resist autodefenestration led to a different tragedy

Farrah Abraham: Boozing and Popping Pills?!
Remember back in the day when Farrah Abraham was just a dumb, obnoxious cheerleader?
Oh, how times have changed.
Well, she’s still dumb and obnoxious of course, but the difference is that back then, she was pretty much harmless. She had a chance of growing out of her insufferable ways.
Yeah, not so much anymore.
After the sex tape debacle, she changed. She got more famous, she got more money, and it all went directly to her head.
So it kind of just makes sense that she’s allegedly out of control with booze and pills these days.
A blind item was posted on the website Crazy Days and Nights last month about a Teen Mom whose drinking has gotten a bit out of hand.
“Combine that with some pills she was prescribed and her already notorious temper and she is a walking train wreck,” the report read.
“She has also gained about 20 pounds and recently screamed at a fan who wrongfully pointed it out to her.”
And just in case you’re thinking that the blind item could actually be about Amber Portwood — the addiction, the prescriptions, the fluctuating weight — the report concludes with “Not Amber.”
Besides, the item was recently revealed to be about Farrah.
It’s not so hard to believe, right? Farrah’s been known to throw back a drink or five, and goodness knows her temper could be described as “notorious.”
And she has gained a little bit of weight recently. You can see it in this photo she shared earlier this week:
We know it’s a struggle to imagine her screaming at fans, but … oh, what’s that?
It’s not at all a struggle to imagine because Farrah is the worst?
Noted.
But perhaps the most damning evidence that this blind item could be true is a statement from Farrah’s boyfriend, Simon Saran.
Radar Online reached out to Farrah for a response, but didn’t receive one. But when they asked Simon, he told them that he’s “not sure” if he could make a comment or not.
If the rumor was false, why wouldn’t he just say that? A simple “no comment” would have made more sense than what he said.
But hey, either way, best wishes for Farrah. Even if she’s not struggling with a drinking problem, it still seems like she could really use them.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 9 Recap: Blades and Bag of Pills
What was it like for Erika Jayne and Kyle Richards to leave all of the drama behind and make their way to Greece?
That was revealed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 9 as Erika prepared for a big performance.
We kicked things off with Erika going on stage to debut her new single in the middle of the night. Surprisingly, the performance was not all bad.
However, Kyle Richards seemed more impressed with the male dancers’ abs than the performance. She was ogling them from a distance and it was pretty hilarious.
The pair returned to their villa a few hours later, but sleep was not part of the agenda. In fact, the pair decided to dress up and take pictures of themselves while the sun was rising.
Back in Beverly Hills, Eden Sassoon continued to imply that Kim Richards was on the verge of returning to a life of alcohol. She reeled in Lisa Vanderpump to speak about it.
The conversation was initially about Eden, who revealed that she broke up with a guy because he ate a cheeseburger, before popping a nicotine mint into his mouth.
Apparently, the dude had stopped smoking per Eden’s request, too. As you could probably expect, LVP was shocked by the end of the romance.
Lisa was shocked when Eden opened up about what was going on with Kim. However, she was even more shocked when she learned that Eden had not spent any more time with her.
Eden even went as far as claiming that Kyle was Kim’s enabler.
“Kyle is an enabler to Kim because she allows this behavior to continue. She allows a sober woman to speak in ways that a sober woman shouldn’t speak,” Eden said to the camera.
“It’s just behavior that, as a sister, you might want to say something.”
Something tells us there’s going to be another crazy argument.
It was time for PK’s birthday party and Dorit was stressing because of some issues with the planning of the event. She wanted to hide the stage that Boy George would be emerging from.
Kim hugged Eileen and Lisa Rinna to make it clear that things were really put in the past. There’s no point in keeping arguments going on this show.
“With my grandson coming, I’m starting to get a little bit funny again,” she said. “I’m starting to worry and go back through those first mother instincts.”
Eden then continued her tirade of trying to prove that Kim was going off the deep end, but it was falling on deaf ears. She sounded like a crazy person.
Everyone seemed more concerned with looking at Kyle and Erika’s bathing suit poses. Was this just their way of telling Eden to shut up?
There’s definitely something weird about the way Eden keeps acting towards Kim. Just because they have both had an addiction does not mean they have the same triggers.
There’s going to be a lot of fallout when Lisa V reveals what Eden said to her about Kyle. We’ll be sitting her with the popcorn for the fireworks.
