Courtney Stodden: I Mix Booze And Pills So I Don"t Jump Out A Window!
Mixing prescription medications — including medical marijuana — and alcohol is recommended by zero doctors. This is worrisome.
Courtney Stodden’s been through life stresses at 22 that most people don’t experience until they’re decades older — if ever.
She’s a reality star, so there’s the stress of fame. There’s her mother, Krista Keller, who is a real piece of work and from whom Courtney is estranged.
That distance from Mommy Dearest is exactly right for Courtney’s well-being, but it’s also a serious life stressor. She had a famous and tragic miscarriage in 2016 and she’s still grieving.
And, oh by the way, Courtney’s getting a divorce.
Divorces, no matter how amicable, always make the lists of life’s biggest stressors. It’s up there with death of a loved one. Add to that the fact that her husband, Doug Hutchison, is 34 years her senior.
He was already 50 when she married him … at 16. That’s not on Courtney; that’s on her mother and on Doug.
Everybody has their own coping mechanisms, and not all of them are necessarily healthy.
Courtney recently spoke about her desires, and it’s hard to hear this and not be concerned.
“I just want some normalcy now … and I don’t know if I’m coping in the most healthy way,” she admitted on The Doctors.
“I also have been taking anti-anxiety medication, otherwise I literally feel like I’m going to jump out the window. Sometimes, I have medical marijuana, but that doesn’t really help because I start having a panic attack.”
At least she knows what works and what doesn’t. More importantly, she knows that what she’s doing now isn’t helping. It sounds trite, but just admitting it is the first step to making things better.
For a reality star who people love to classify as a “dumb blonde,” Courtney seems very aware of the factors that are influencing her state of mind.
For one thing, her marriage to a 50-year-old man when she was 16. “My mother was the one who granted permission. Now, when I’m explaining the story, it’s like: ‘Oh God, this is crazy!"”
Well, yeah.
“I went from my parents to another parental figure,” she remarks with some brutal honesty. Ugh, that whole situation was so creepy.
At 22, now separated from Doug, she’s finally getting to be a young person. Even though she says that she feels like she’s “lived so many lives at such a young age,” and she’s not wrong, she is still a young woman who didn’t get to have the normal experiences of early adulthood.
Being young usually involves partying. Especially when you’re beautiful and famous.
Well, not if you’re in a fertility cult. Sorry, Duggar girls.
If you think about it, Courtney spent what could have been her college years married to a middle-aged actor. That’s not a normal life. To an extent, some partying and even some pill-popping are much more age-appropriate behaviors than, say, her marriage.
But it is important for her to find the right balance. That means weighing having a healthy amount of fun with staying alive.
“I literally feel like my coping mechanisms could lead to a disastrous, vicious situation,” she admits. “I think if I seek the proper coping mechanisms, I could turn this around and be the young woman that I want to be.”
Fortunately, she’s talking about this openly — especially on The Doctors, where they offered to go over her medications and see what was working and what might need to change.
But the fact that she’s talking about all of this in the public sphere is enough to show that she wants to make sure that her celebrations of newfound freedom aren’t cut tragically short.
It would be horrible if the substances that she uses to resist autodefenestration led to a different tragedy

Brianne Muller, Mom of 5, Dies After Fatal Car Jump to Escape Abusive Husband
Brianne Muller, just 33 years old, died this past week after head trauma when she jumped out of a moving vehicle operated by her husband, Michael Muller.
Fox 59 reported that Muller ejected herself from the moving car on an interstate in Oklahoma to escape her abusive husband.
Friends of Muller’s came forward after the news, and said that Muller’s husband, Michael has been “abusive for years.”
The news station also reported that Michael Muller had varying domestic violence and child abuse charges against him, and was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
Local authorities consider Brianne’s death “suspicious,” but have declined to state whether or not her husband would be charged.
Several of Brianne’s friends came forward after her death to acknowledge that she was continuously victimized by her husband.
A long-time friend of Brianne’s told the network that her friend “had a big heart,” and that she was “always smiling.”
“We were her family,” Samantha Searle continued.
In a statement to the late Muller’s husband, Searle continued, “Whether she jumped from the car or you pushed her, she’s dead because of you.”
The friend continued that the couple’s children considered their father’s abuse against their mother to be “normal.”
“[Her] babies talk about how their daddy hurt their mommy, like it’s a normal part of life that’s supposed to happen,” Searle lamented.
“I watched him smash her face against a wall, causing three of her teeth to loosen, and one to fall out.”
“We concocted plan after plan after plan to get her and those kids out of [that] situation,” she continued.
“I just wish there would have been some way to break her [away] from him,” another friend, Jennifer Morgan, added.
“She told us lots of times she was going to die.”
“She was afraid,” the friend admitted.
A GoFundMe page was set up to defer funeral costs for Muller’s funeral.
At this time, it’s reached over half its goal – $ 975 of the $ 1934 goal needed to meet the Muller’s final expenses.
The page read, “Brianne was a mother of five, who died tragically at the young age of 33 after a head injury.”
“The family is not prepared to pay for a funeral, so we are depending on the kindness of others to help cover the costs to give her a proper burial,” the statement concluded.
What a heartbreaking story, and if this SOB is in any way involved – which he is; as Muller’s friend said, it didn’t matter whether she jumped or he pushed her – he is, in some way, responsible for the death of his wife, and his children’s loss of their mother.

Taylor Swift Faces Squad Trouble as Friends Jump Ship: Report
These days, it’s rare to read anything about Taylor Swift that doesn’t feature some mention of her ever-expanding group of famous female friends.
Taylor’s “squad” is as much a part of her public persona as her love life used to be, and many have suggested that it’s one component of a conscious effort by her team to portray Swift as a drama-free supporter of other women.
Unfortunately, no matter what she does, Taylor seems to be a magnet for scrutiny and criticism, and making her popularity with her female peers a matter of public spectacle has prompted a good deal of speculation about the dynamic of the squad.
Taylor has invited famous friends on stage, walked the red carpet with a gaggle of models and actresses, and gushed about her girl posse in countless interviews.
At first she was praised as a feminist role model, but the tide quickly turned and questions started to emerge:
Is she simply friend collecting? Are her peers being to made to feel like sidekicks? Are all the girls equal, or is Taylor’s squad all about Taylor?
Swift kind of addressed these criticisms when she stated during a recent that the criteria for squad membership is really quite simple:
“Number one, you have to like me. And number two, you have to want to spend time with me,” she told thousands of young women, many of whom have no doubt imagined themselves in the squad.
While many have side-eyed the squad and have full of celebs have openly thrown shade at Taylor and her ever-present chick clique, most seem to agree that Taylor’s decision to focus on female friendship is a good thing, both for her and her millions of impressionable fans.
Unfortunately, since it’s taken the place of her romantic relationships as the part of her private life that she chooses to share with the public, Taylor’s squad has become a source of tabloid fodder.
Recent reports have Taylor kicking members out for violating her strict set of rules.
Sources say she booted Kendall Jenner after the model began dating Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.
Lena Dunham once described Taylor as her “best friend,” but they reportedly haven’t spoken in months.
Now, several insiders are claiming that Taylor and her longtime BFF Karlie Kloss are on the outs, a rumor that Kloss seems to have corroborated with a recent vague comment about “the ups and downs” of friendship.
We may never know if these reports are true, and it’s generally easier to repair a friendship than a romantic relationship, so Taylor’s exiled squad members may wind up back in her good graces.
Obviously, it would be impossible for Taylor to keep every part of her personal life on the down-low, but she grants fans far more access than most celebs, and it now looks as though the decision is blowing up in her face, just as it did when she was in the habit of sharing intimate details about her love life.

Persistent Cat Really Wants to Jump from Chair to Table
It"s been documented time and again: cats are really bad at jumping. They simply do not possess mad hops.
No one will ever mistake a cat for Kobe Bryant or LeBron James, that much is for sure. It"s just now how they roll.
Consider this feline who attempted to leap from a car to a roof. Or the one who tried to jump through a car window in order to join his human friends and… well… OUCH!
But the pet featured in the following video refuses to give up the fight. Or he refuses to give up the jump, to be more precise.
And you"ve gotta admire him for it.
We see him at first get up on the arm of a chair and simply go for it, taking off for the table just a couple feet away (if that, that may be a generous estimate, to be honest).
CRASH! SPLAT! He fails and falls to the ground. In rather painful fashion, no less.
And the dog is too embarrassed on his behalf to even stick around for the next attempt.
But there is another attempt… and then another… and another. This is one persistent animal!
Does that persistence pay off? Does he finally make like the highest-jumping cat in history and land the leap? Can we take an important life lesson in believing in oneself from this most unlikely of sources?
