Shawn Booth Breaks Silence on Kaitlyn Bristowe Breakup: I"m in Agony

They were one of the couples that seemed to have beaten the odds, but Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe are over.

Now, Shawn is opening up to fans with a heartfelt message.

He’s thanking them for their support — over the years and now, as he experiences real emotional pain.

Shawn Booth took to Instagram to deliver a heartfelt message about his not-so-secret breakup with Kaitlyn Bristowe.

“I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my relationship with Kaitlyn over the years,” he writes.

After nearly three years together, the couple accrued a lot of fans.

“You’ve made me feel incredibly special,” he shares.

Shawn continues, noting that fans have made him feel “supported, and very loved.”

“So from the bottom of my heart,” Shawn continues. “Thank you.”

Shawn writes: “It truly means a lot.”

He’s thanking fans for more than just their support during the relationship.

Shawn appreciates the outpouring of respect that has flowed from the Bachelor Nation following their split.

“And,” Shawn says. “Thank you to everyone who has sent their love & support during this painful time.”

He gushes: “I love you guys.”

According to a recent report by People, Shawn isn’t the only one feeling heartbroken.

Kaitlyn’s in the same boat.

“This was the last thing Kaitlyn wanted,” and insider reveals.

According to the source: “she was willing to fight for the relationship.”

Ultimately, however, she and Shawn realized that they had lost their forward momentum.

“But,” the insider laments. “There was nowhere for it to go.”

“It’s only natural to think about the next steps when you’ve been together for three years,” the source explains.

“Kaitlyn,” the insider says. “Wants to be married and have kids.”

“But,” the source notes. “It didn’t seem like they were on the same page.”

Kaitlyn is two years older than Shawn. She is 33, he is 31.

Did that slight age difference make her the one who wanted to settle down first?

Fans cannot help but wonder.

Despite this key difference, the report says that neither of them simply quit on the other.

“It wasn’t one of them who broke things off,” the source reports.

In other words, it sounds like this painful decision to break up after nearly three years together was mutual.

According to the insider, Kaitlyn and Shawn are still “on good terms.”

That is great. But Kaitlyn is not doing so well internally, apparently.

“She’s devastated,” the source reports.

“There is a lot of hurt,” the insider says.

The source notes that “Kaitlyn tried to make it work.”

“She never thought this would end,” the insider concludes.

The hardest thing about relationships is that they inevitably end, one way or the other.

After three years of engagement, Shawn and Kaitlyn still have their memories of happiness, at least.

In time, those should be a source of comfort as the reasons for their conflict fade.

Who knows? Maybe they’ll even get back together, though we don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up.

Only time will tell.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth Split, Break the Hearts of Fans

The Bachelor Nation is still reeling from the news that it"s over between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth.

They were together for so long!

They gave fans hope that love is real!

Now, after three years together, they"ve announced that they have broken up.

Here is why his breakup might be the hardest ever for fans of the Bachelor franchise.

1. It’s over!

This week, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth broke off their engagement and their relationship.

2. They had been together for three years

Most couples on The Bachelor break up within a year — and plenty part ways after just a few months. Three years is like a lifetime for the Bachelor Fam.

3. Kaitlyn and Shawn even released a breakup statement

“This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration,” the couple issued in a statement to People. “Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends.”

4. These things are always sad — and awkward

“We have both evolved as people, which is taking us in different directions, but with the hope that we will continue to support each other in new ways,” they said.

5. Breakups are personal, but breakup announcements are not

“Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you,” they concluded. “But we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time.”

6. A lot of fans were really rooting for them

It’s about more than how long they’d lasted. Some folks were rooting for them from the start

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth: It"s Over!

For three long years, they seemed to be one of those rare Bachelor Fam couples who beat the odds.

Just last December, there was even a rumor that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth were married.

Unfortunately, not all relationships last. Kaitlyn and Shawn have broken up.

In 2015, Kaitlyn and Shawn got engaged on the Season 19 finale of The Bachelorette.

Now, at the tail end of 2018, the couple has issued a statement to People.

“After three incredible years,” the statement begins. “We have decided to go our separate ways.”

This is a joint statement that the couple has issued together.

“This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration,” the statement continues.

“Even though we are parting as a couple,” they explains. “We’re very much committed to remaining friends.”

That is wonderful to hear … though it is admittedly what most couple’s say.

“And,” their statement reads. “We will continue to support each other.”

As with a relationship, a breakup doesn’t always work out the way that you hope.

But that’s a great sentiment anyway.

“Due to the nature of how we met,” they admit. “Our relationship has always been very public.”

“And,” they say. “We have enjoyed sharing it with all of you.”

They acknowledge that “but we ask that you respect our decision.”

Please don’t send hate to celebrities for their relationships, their breakups, or anything else — unless it truly warrants your fury.

They hope that fans will respect their judgment “and our privacy at this time.”

Breakup rumors followed these two over the summer.

But just a few months ago, Kaitlyn was shooting down those claims.

“So here’s the truth,” she said on her Off the Vine podcast back in August.

“I’m in Canada because … I have made a promise to myself and my family,” she explained.

Her promise was “that I will come up every August and enjoy downtime with the people that I love in a country that I love.”

“Family is so important to me,” she affirmed. “Relationships in general are very important to me.”

She made her priorities clear: “I put relationships first.”

“Shawn did not come up with me,” Kaitlyn explained. “Because the guy just bought a gym.”

“He bought a business,” she emphasized. “He has started something huge.”

Kaitlyn raved: “He is the most dedicated person I’ve ever met.”

“He’s going to have to be there for months,” she noted.

“We are both so busy,” she said. “And unfortunately that means we’re spending all of this time apart.”

She spoke more generally about relationship struggles.

“You are both always away, you’re exhausted at the end of the day, sometimes the relationship isn’t being put first,” she said.

“But does that mean you call it quits?” she asked, answering: “No.”

“You love the s–t out of each other and you work through it and yourselves to be better,” she advised.

“And you know,” she concluded. “That times aren’t always going to be smooth sailing.”

The thing about not-so-smooth sailing is that it doesn’t always get better.

Sometimes, the metaphorical ship (relation-ship, if you will) capsizes.

Better luck next time to both Kaitlyn and Shawn!

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth: Married?!

Kaitlyn Bristowe may have gotten her happily ever after with Shawn Booth after they became a thing on The Bachelorette Season 11, but that was back in 2015.

As far as reality TV stars go, weddings generally follow months, not years later. Fans have been speculating when the wedding will take place and more importantly, whether it will be televised.

In a surprising turn of events, Kaitlyn may have accidentally revealed that she is already married during a recent helping of her Off The Vine podcast.

Fans of the star took to Reddit when the reality TV star made a jab about the possibility of her already being married to Shawn.

“I promise, when we have a wedding date you will all know, I will announce it on the podcast, you will never have to question me again,” she said, apparently confirming that her fans would be first to know.

The bombshell came after the advertisements, and there’s every reason to believe the end of the advertisements caught the star mid-conversation with Claudia Oshry.

“Maybe we are already married because I needed a green card to work on Broadway!” she said with a laugh.

It’s not news that Bristowe can be seen on Broadway up until December 30 at the August Wilson Theatre, but could this have been a slip of the tongue with her pal that confirmed the news?

It would be a stretch, and while we love Kaitlyn, it would be very out of character for her to want to have a low-key wedding.

It’s more likely that Kaitlyn was having a joke and trying to make Claudia laugh, but we’re sure Kaitlyn will clarify the comments in due course.

As expected, fans were on the fence about the comments and what they meant.

“There’s a tiny, tiny chance that it’s just true but it just doesn’t make sense, logically, and it doesn’t fit with Kaitlyn’s personality.”

“I love her, but the girl loves attention, and I don’t see her getting married quietly making just a passing comment about it,” said one fan.

Another fan chimed in, saying “Kaitlyn sometimes says things off the cuff on this show. I hope she would understand that if this is true, saying publicly that you got married to get a green card/stay in the country is technically fraud.”

“If the US government wants to come after you, they can, and they won’t care if you have actually been in a relationship for a while.”

Given the fact that Kaitlyn has been talking about having two wedding dresses for the momentous occasion, it would not make sense for her to be already married.

There is the slight chance that she is married, and milking the publicity train in the aftermath, but it would still very out of character.

They don’t do Bachelor Nation weddings low-key. They are elegant affairs that are littered with flashing lights as everyone poses in front of the cameras.

As always, we’ll keep you up to speed on any further developments on the marriage front!

What do you think about all of this?

Sound off below!

Kaitlyn Bristowe: I Wanted to Send Nick Viall Home SOONER!

Kaitlyn Bristowe may have gotten her happily ever after with Shawn Booth after The Bachelorette, but that doesn’t mean that her season went exactly the way that she wanted it to.

In fact, Kaitlyn says that there was one thing in particular that she’d never planned on — and that was keeping Nick Viall around as long as she did.

There have been no shortage of breakups of Bachelor couples.

In many cases, people have found that the person they got to know on reality television isn’t the same when the cameras aren’t rolling.

In others, the fact that the cameras were rolling at that they were all on a timetable doesn’t give them time for honest communication before they get engaged.

And their celebrity status afterwards makes it hard for their relationship to continue even after the season airs.

And, obviously, some couples just drift apart.

You can look at the breakup of Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins, whose relationship was strangled by a lack of honest communication thanks to the relentless presence of cameras in their lives.

(Ben was on Kaitlyn’s season — that will come up in a moment)

Then you have breakups like the one between Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton, that involved Josh calling the police.

Their split seemed like it would have happened even if they’d just met over Tinder or whatever.

But, despite all of the things that can and so often do go wrong in relationships, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are still together.

Not married, but they’re together.

So what, in Kaitlyn’s view, went wrong with her season?

On her own podcast, titled Off The Vine, Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that she never intended for Nick Viall to make it to the final two.

For some time, Kaitlyn knew that she wanted to be with Shawn Booth.

(Clearly, he was the right choice, as they’re still happily together)

She had also decided that Ben Higgins would be the last man she sent home.

As you remember, Ben came in third, not second, and it was Nick Viall who was Kaitlyn Bristowe’s final breakup.

Nick Viall ended up going on and getting engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi (though they of course have broken up).

Kaitlyn doesn’t say why things ended up the way that they did, but it’s interesting that her own decisions didn’t quite match up with her own plans.

Kaitlyn may have gotten her happy ending, but that doesn’t mean that she’s turned her back on the Bachelor Nation.

Recently, when it was finally revealed that Rachel Lindsay had made the controversial choice of settling with Bryan Abasolo, Kaitlyn posted this message to Instagram.

“Attention Rachel and [Bryan Abasolo]. Today will be one of the best days of your life. When you can finally be out in the real world hand in hand.”

She actually referred to Bryan as “Jerome,” which had been Rachel’s code word for her unnamed fiance.

We suspect that Kaitlyn wrote this out in advance. Or maybe she just didn’t want to spoil things for those who hadn’t seen it yet.

“I honestly don’t think you need advice because you seem to be on cloud 9 and you’re smart af, but here’s mine for what it’s worth.”

Awwww, that is so cute.

“Do not listen to outside voices. People will try and bring you down, I’m not sure why…But they do.”

We, at least, don’t want to bring down Rachel Lindsay.

We don’t understand her choice, but we want her to be happy.

“As long as you surround yourselves with people who love you, and remind each other that they come first, you will be ok. You both have our full support. #TheBachelorette”

This was from her and from Shawn Booth.

Adorable.

We’re not sure what lesson to take from this.

Kaitlyn isn’t alleging a conspiracy by the Bachelorette producers or anything.

It just sounds like she had a hard time letting Nick go before the end. Harder than she’d anticipated.

Nick Viall’s been on one Bachelor show or another about a million times (approximately), so he’s clearly good at winning hearts.

But … he’s also seemingly done with reality television. For a little while, at least.

Kaitlyn Bristowe Slams Mike Fleiss: Why Couldn"t I Go Dancing With the Stars?!

Just as inevitable as The Bachelor spoilers revealing the winner before the finale is its star joining another hit ABC show right afterward.

But is there a Dancing With the Stars double-standard when it comes to Bachelor Nation members? Kaitlyn Bristowe alleges just that.

Amid news that Nick Viall joined the Dancing With the Stars Season 24 cast, Kaitlyn went off on The Bachelor for stonewalling her.

Specifically, she says the franchise’s creator and head honcho, Mike Fleiss, single-handedly prevented her from competing in 2015.

A source said then, “The timing isn’t right, but she loves the show and hopes to keep the door open for another season down the road.”

Kait begs to differ with that now, however.

She says she was “offered” a spot, but ultimately wasn’t allowed to sign the contract. Bristowe made the following comment on Twitter:

“Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess told me I wasn’t allowed. He said he didnt want people wanting fame after his show.”

She wrote that in response to a question from none other than Whitney Bischoff (Kaitlyn’s rival on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor).

Bischoff wondered why a Bachelorette star never seems to compete on DWTS; Soules, of course, went on to compete on the program.

The Iowa farmer isn’t alone in that regard. Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe and now Nick have all traded in roses for dancing shoes as well.

Would Fleiss really stifle Kaitlyn – a dancer by trade, no less? After her tweet calling him out, the boss took to Twitter in response.

“@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!!” Fless said, though Bristowe was far from impressed.

“Thanks I’ll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago. I wonder what changed your mind?” Kait, who is still engaged to Shawn Booth, wrote.

In another tweet, Fleiss seemingly defended himself against her allegations implying sexism when it comes to the DWTS-Bachelor funnel.

“Melissa R has a mirror ball. So quickly they forget! #thebachelor,” he wrote, referencing Melissa Rycroft, the short-lived Bachelor winner.

Rycroft was Jason Mesnick’s final rose pick before he changed his mind on the After the Final Rose and asked out now-wife Molly Malaney.

She didn’t go on to be The Bachelorette, but the former Cowboys cheerleader competed in Seasons 8 and 15 of DWTS, winning the former.

Moreover, Trista Sutter, the first-ever Bachelorette, also competed on the first season of Dancing, and she made sure to remind him online:

“I guess you have to have a mirror ball to matter?! I know it was b4 most people on Twitter were born, but I was on #DWTS. Shocking, I know.”

In Mike’s defense, we are on SEASON 24; Trista amusingly acknowledges how long both shows have been around with that Twitter joke.

We obviously have no idea what was said between Fleiss and Bristowe, but we doubt there is some major sexist conspiracy at work.

If a Bachelorette star or female Bachelor star wanted to have a go, and DWTS wanted them, we’d assume it would happen 95% of the time.

That doesn’t mean Mike didn’t nix Kaitlyn for unknown reasons – again, we have no idea what did or did not happen between the two.

We’re just saying that ratings are ratings, and a marriage like that clearly makes sense for both franchises, hence why it so often occurs.

Speaking of Bachelor marriages, Trista went on to say she doesn’t think joining DWTS soon after the final rose is the best idea, regardless.

“For the record, I think that if you are lucky enough to find love on #TheBachelor or “ette”, the odds of creating a future with that love……”

“…. are significantly higher without the time commitment/stresses of being a part of #dwts. I’m a huge fan of both shows, just not……”

“one right after the other. @kaitlynbristowe & Shawn are solid tho. Not that any1 will listen but she gets my vote to slay the dance floor!”

She gets ours too, although – and she seems to know this is the case, for what it’s worth – that ship likely sailed two years ago now.

Perhaps she can look at it as a silver lining that she and Shawn Booth are on such solid ground? They didn’t have to deal with the distraction.

See who else from The Bachelor and “ette” are still together below!

Nick Viall, Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe: What Might Have Been!

Andi Dorfman and Nick Viall on The Bachelorette.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nick on The Bachelorette.

Oh, what might have been between the Wisconsin native and the two women who dumped him on back-to-back heartbreaking finales.

Incredibly, while he was never the fan favorite going up against Josh Murray (Andi"s season) or Shawn Booth, Nick got the last laugh:

ABC named Nick Viall The Bachelor for Season 21!

If you watch Bachelor in Paradise online, you"ve witnessed him lose another girl to Murray (again) in Amanda Stanton, but more significantly:

Nick may not have won the girl, but he won back (or won for the first time) the support of Bachelor Nation. And he will hand out the roses next.

But what about the two women who missed their shot?

Nick was head over heels for Andi, then possibly even more so with Kaitlyn. Bristowe supports him now, but is she having buyer"s remorse?

Doubtful. She and Booth seem pretty happy. Andi, though? You gotta wonder about that one, given how hard she hates that d-bag Josh.

Just saying. We"re curious. Anyway, here"s a look back at Nick"s road to The Bachelor and the two cute brunettes who let him get away!

Kaitlyn Bristowe on Nick Viall as The Bachelor: You Go Boy!

The surprising, but awesome news that ABC named Nick Viall The Bachelor has elicited strong reactions throughout Bachelor Nation.

Nick, the two-time Bachelorette runner-up turned unlikely, fan favorite Bachelor in Paradise underdog, has his fair share of detractors.

One of his famous exes isn’t among them, though:

Among his chief supporters? Kaitlyn Bristowe!

“I’m happy for him!” Bristowe, who spurned Nick in favor of Shawn Booth last summer, tells Us Weekly. “Everyone deserves to find someone.”

“I hope it works out for him this time.”

Viall was Bristowe’s runner-up during Season 11 of The Bachelorette, having ended up in the same position with Andi Dorfman in 2014.

Guy gets dumped on TV a lot!

Andi chose Josh Murray, who has remained Nick’s nemesis to this day (more on that in a moment), and Chris Soules became The Bachelor.

Nick was so mesmerized by Kaitlyn, who was one of Soules’ top contenders, that he vied for an opportunity to return and woo her next.

Despite the fact that he showed up late, he blew away the competition, again, only to fall just short, again, as Booth got the final rose.

The couple are still engaged; Dorfman and Murray broke up, after which she penned a tell-all book and talked about both of the rivals.

Mike Fleiss, Chris Harrison and the Bachelor brain trust, brilliant tacticians that they are, decided to rekindle the Nick vs. Josh beef in Paradise.

The results? Great TV for viewers, and an unlikely turn of events in which Nick – not the most popular Bachelor figure – won over fans.

If you watch Bachelor in Paradise online, you know they’ve been going at it hard over Amanda Stanton, to whom Josh is now engaged.

Ironically, though, Nick being the unlucky in love loser again made him the beloved fan figure he always wanted to be, but never was.

Josh, meanwhile, just looks like a douche.

There will still be plenty of fans who don’t care for Nick, who bested Luke Pell, Robby Hayes and others to land the role of a lifetime.

Ultimately, despite the positive reception many men from JoJo Fletcher’s season received, producers opted to make a splash with Viall.

“Hopefully, things will end up on a more positive note,” Viall said on ABC’s After Paradise regarding his unlikely starring turn this winter.

“I’ve made my mistakes. I’ve had an interesting process through this, and it hasn’t worked so far,” Viall adds, but he’s looking ahead.

“I’m definitely ready for it … I’m really excited. I couldn’t be more excited about the possibility of it working out.”

As for what Nick wants in a fiancee?

“Someone who is confident and knows their own self-worth,” he said, and having come up just short before, he’s even clearer on this.

Most importantly of all, “somebody who makes me a better person and challenges me and isn’t afraid to give as much as I like to.”

What do you think? Will he find her?

And more significantly, will you be tuning in? Do you want to see Nick find love, and will he rank among the hottest Bachelors ever?

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth: SCAMMING Bachelorette Fans???

“But their love seems so real!” said no one ever.

While Bachelorette Kailyn Bristowe and her #1 rose recipient, Shawn Booth are keeping marriage talk at bay, former contestant JJ Lane is calling their relationship a total sham.

Lane spoke to In Touch about how Bristowe and Booth are sitting on a throne of lines together in the name of cash.

And though he may be right in his assumptions that this is all a farce, Lane kinda sounds bitter to say the least.

“Kaitlyn and Shawn’s relationship is a sham,” Lane claimed. “They have a business relationship. Shawn is only sticking with her for the money.”

What about true love?  What about the televised wedding?

“Shawn is such a jealous, insecure person,” Lane continued. “There is no way that Kaitlyn is going to be able to live her life long-term with a guy like that.”

Like any villain, Lane ended his interview with a zinger.

“I will revel in their divorce!” he proclaimed.

OK, guy.  chill out.

Few Bachelor/Bachelorettes have gone the distance with their rose recipient, so everything Lane is saying could possibly be true.

However, ABC must have some ironclad restrictions on what past and present contestants can and cannot say.

Bottom line: Save it for the tell-all, Lane (be sure to get through the legal tape first).
