Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart Dies; Wrestling Champion Was 63
We regret to inform you that we have some devastating news out of the world of professional wrestling.
It has been reported and then confirmed that former WWE champion Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart, a member of one of the most famous wrestling dynasties in history, has passed away.
Neidhart was 63.
Jim Neidhart, on top of his own career, was also the father of Total Divas star Natalya Neidhart.
B Brian Blair took to Twitter to first share this heartbreaking news.
“So sad to announce the passing of my friend and longtime colleague, Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart,” Blair wrote on Twitter in the morning on Monday, August 13.
Blair’s tweet continued: “Your thoughts and prayers for the family are deeply appreciated!”
The grim news has since been confirmed by multiple outlets.
Neidhart’s cause of death has not yet been reported.
Neidhart won his “The Anvil” moniker from throwing a literal anvil.
In high school, he had been a shot put shampion.
When he entered his professional wrestling career, Stu Hart prompted him to enter and win an anvil toss at the Calgary Stampede.
Neidhart did just that, tossing an anvil 11 feet and 2 inches.
Anvils, for the record, can weigh between 75 and 500 pounds, depending upon their purpose.
Neidhart’s wrestling career took off, under the tutelage of the legendary Stu Hart.
He joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1985.
He teamed up with Bret Hart, becoming one half of the Hart Foundation — and winning the Tag Team Championship twice.
Neidhart was then part of the Hart Foundation in the ’90s.
Also in the ’90s, Neidhart feuded with Stone Cold Steve Austin in what has been described as one of the formative feuds of the Attitude Era.
In the late ’90s, he spent time in WCW. He appeared on Impact Wrestling as recently as 2009.
Neidhart has not wrestled with WWE since 2007.
In February of 2010, he was inducted into the Legends Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, Ellie, and their three daughters: Jennifer, Natalie, and Kristen
Natalie is better known as Natalya, the wrestler with WWE who is also a star on Total Divas. Her father was a frequent guest star on the reality series.
Our hearts go out to his family and his loved ones after this sudden news.
At present, Bret Hart is the only surviving member of the ’90s Hart Foundation.

Justin Bieber: Baskin Champion Means Nothing to Me! I Just Want Selena Gomez!
With reports of a social outing followed by a “sleepover,” fans can’t help wondering if Justin Bieber is dating a model to make Selena Gomez jealous after their split.
It’s entirely possible that he’s hoping to make her jealous … but apparently he doesn’t consider what he’s doing to be “dating.”
Because he’s entirely and hopelessly hung up on Selena.
So, Selena and Justin have broken up, even if it’s said to be a temporary break rather than a more permanent split.
Apparently, the two of them had been having trouble getting along, and one big disagreement precipitated the two of them stepping back from the rekindled relationship.
That sounds healthy.
In the mean time, Justin has reportedly been spending time with a young model, Baskin Champion.
In fact, after an outing, she reportedly came over for a sleepover — albeit one that included other friends.
People reports that, even as cozy as these two have appeared to get, Bieber and Champion aren’t dating.
In fact, the Biebs apparently isn’t trying to explore any new relationships.
“He isn’t dating.”
He might be hooking up — though we should all remember that this was an alleged sleepover that included other friends. Even with Bieber’s reputation, we can’t pretend that we know what went on behind closed doors.
But, hookups or no hookups, there’s reportedly one thing that occupies his thoughts at all times.
“He thinks and talks about Selena all the time.”
Now, plenty of us think and talk about Selena Gomez all of the time — she’s one of the most talented singers on the planet.
In Bieber’s case, though, his reported preoccupation with the magical, lyrical, and beautiful songstress is much more personal.
And it sounds like he wants her back … because he doesn’t want to live without her.
“The chapter with her is definitely not finished,” the insider reports.
So it sounds like it’s safe to say that Bieber is still planning on reuniting with Selena … even if he has a few sleepovers while he waits for “destiny.”
That said, we should remember that the two spending some time apart is not an accident.
“They weren’t getting along and decided to take a break.”
Insiders close to the Biebs have sought to minimize the significance of this split, however.
““It doesn’t seem like a big deal and they will probably be fine again soon.”
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez has been getting away and enjoying bikini times with friends on a yacht in Australia.
“She’s just trying to enjoy herself and is spending quality time with her friends.”
It doesn’t sound like she feels driven to make the Biebs jealous or to leap into a new relationship out of revenge or whatever.
“She’s happy and healthy and isn’t focusing on the negativity.”
This could be a sign that she just doesn’t feel about Bieber the way that he does about her.
It could also just be a sign that Selena is much, much more mature than Justin is.
Neither of these explanations would be a surprise.
However, HollywoodLife reports that, per their source, Justin’s sleepover got to Selena.
“She is getting on a plane now, headed back stateside after working on herself in Australia for the week.”
We don’t know for sure when she had planned on departing, but this source believes that Justin’s dalliance played a role in her decision-making.
“Selena is hurt and disappointed after seeing Justin with another woman, and she felt the need to run home immediately.”
The source acknowledges that this isn’t necessarily Selena rushing back into Justin’s arms.
“Things are definitely not done between Justin and Selena,” the source concludes. “She still has a lot of things to figure out and she is eager to come home to get clarity on everything.”
Honestly, most fans just want Selena to be happy and healthy, no matter what romantic decisions that does or does not entail. It sounds like that’s what Selena wants, too.

Baskin Champion: Getting Cozy with Justin Bieber! EEEK!
We hope you enjoyed Jelena version 27.0, celebrity gossip fans.
Because it may be over already.
As most readers likely know by now, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez got back together in November.
Unlike the many past versions of this romance, however, the singers appeared truly committed this time around, having realized that they are older and more mature and can"t just keep going back and forth all the time.
They were going to church as a couple and even attending therapy sessions together.
But then the bomb dropped two weeks ago:
Justin and Selena were taking a break.
Most insiders swore that"s all this was, that the two were still in contact and this was NOT a break-up.
And we do remain hopeful that this is the case.
However, fans now have a few questions because Bieber was spotted out on Tuesday night at Craig David"s concert at The Roxy in West Hollywood.
And he wasn"t alone.
Numerous entertainment news outlets have reported that Bieber was in attendance with someone initially described as a "mystery blonde."
The artist "was seen with his arm wrapped around her waist during one song, and she was spotted dancing up on him throughout the show," writes Entertainment Tonight, for example.
Naturally, this sort of description got folks wondering who the heck she could be… a question to which we now have a answer:
Baskin Champion.

The 22-year old won the title of Miss Alabama Teen USA in 2014.
She has over 230,000 followers on Instagram and she has posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
But here"s the thing: she is also the sister of Abby Champion, who is dating Patrick Schwarzenegger, one of Bieber"s best friends.
This could mean Bieber and Baskin have been friendly for awhile and this sighting was no big deal — or this connection could simply explain how Bieber knows Baskin and we still have no idea of there are romantic feelings between the pair.

The Voice Results: Your Season 12 Champion is ...
After months of Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, Live Playoffs and grueling final eliminations, The Voice Season 12 has come to an end.
When The Voice results were tallied for the final time in the first of the NBC show’s two 2017 iterations, who would emerge with the title?
Going by previous week’s and Monday night’s The Voice top four performances, Chris Blue should have this in the bag … maybe. Probably?
Based on iTunes rankings, Lauren Duski may have the inside track, while Jesse Larson and Aliyah Moulden are both slightly longer shots.
Season 12’s finale, like all others before it, featured a lineup of live performances from the contestants, coaches and other huge stars.
Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine all got in on the action, as did ex-coaches Miley Cyrus and Cee Lo Green.
Team Adam’s former sensation Mark Isaiah opened up the night with a rendition of “Despacito” featuring Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
We were just getting started, too.
Team Gwen’s Brennley Brown sang with Rascal Flatts, while Team Adam’s finalist Jesse Larson teamed up with Cee Lo Green himself.
Levine has said that Larson’s singing reminds him of Green, so the pairing was fitting; Levine and Larson’s close bond was also highlighted.
Little Big Town and Team Blake finalist Lauren Duski performed together, followed by Gwen Stefani and her former protege Hunter Plake.
Their stripped-down performance of the No Doubt classic “Don’t Speak” made up for the fact that Gwen didn’t have an artist in the finale.
Alessia Cara and Zedd performed, followed by a duet of “Everybody Hurts” from Team Alicia’s finalist Chris Blue and ex-coach Usher.
Chris Stapleton sang his single “Either Way.”
Next up was Team Blake’s TSoul and Team Alicia’s Vanessa Ferguson, both of whom teamed up with the legendary Gladys Knight.
Miley Cyrus then sang her new single “Malibu,” dedicating it to Ariana Grande and all those killed in the attack on Manchester Arena.
Cara took the stage with Shelton’s finalist Aliyah Moulden, a terrific tandem followed up by future The Voice coach Jennifer Hudson.
Finally, it was time for The Voice results.
Team Adam’s Larson came in fourth place, with Team Blake’s Moulden in third place, a result we pretty much predicted from the get-go.
As for the winner: Team Alicia’s Chris Blue took the title, and Team Blake’s Duski came in second in what had to be a very close race.
Keys bested Shelton, and Blue was overcome with emotion as closed out the show, and another epic season, with his original song.
Did the voters get this one right?!

Nicky Hayden Dies; Former MotoGP Champion Was 35
Nicky Hayden, a former MotoGP champion, has died from injuries he sustained when a car crashed into his bicycle five days ago.
He was 35 years old.
The sad news was confirmed by Maurizio Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, where Hayden had been a patient the scary collision last Wednesday.
Hayden suffered severe cerebral damage and multiple traumatic injuries as a result of the incident.
Said the hospital in a statement this afternoon:
“The medical team has verified the death of the patient Nicholas Patrick Hayden, who has been undergoing care since last Wednesday May 17 in the intensive care unit of the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena following a very serious polytrauma which occurred the same day.”
On the entertainment front, Hayden was named one of People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelors in 2005.
“Racing is what I grew up doing, it’s in my family’s blood. I’m pretty happy-go-lucky,” he told the publication at the time, adding;
“I travel so much, I’ve met a lot of chicks in airports.”
Hayden was cycling along the Rimini coast in Italy last Wednesday when he was hit by a Peugeot, whose windshield was smashed in the accident.
Judicial authorities have opened an investigation into the crash and questioned the 30-year-old driver of the car that struck Hayden.
According to The Guardian, the driver was given a Breathalyzer test and was not over the limit at the time.
Hayden won the MotoGP title in 2006; his career started in 2003, with Hayden posting three victories and 28 top three finishes in 218 total races.
Hayden was 13th in Superbike this season, riding for the Red Bull Honda team.
In response to Hayden’s death, motorcycle racers reacted to Hayden’s death on Twitter.

Hayden was born in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Multiple family members had flown in from the United States in the wake of Hayden’s accident, including Hayden’s mother and brother.

Cindy Stowell: Jeopardy Pays Tribute to Late Champion
Alex Trebek and the folks behind Jeopardy have paid special tribute to a special contestant.
As many followers of this world famous game show are aware of by now, Cindy Stowell recently competed on the program, despite a diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
Not only did she compete, Stowell won.
Over and over and over again.
The 41-year-old science content developer (from Austin, Texas) actually won a six games overall, donating her winnings to cancer research efforts.
Tragically, however, she died on December 5, prior to her winning efforts being televised for all to see.
The story, however, captured a nation; and it prompted Alex Trebek to record a message in honor of Stowell after her final episode aired on Wednesday night.
"This past six Jeopardy! programs, you folks have been getting to know the talented champion Cindy Stowell," Trebek says in the message.
"Appearing on the show was a lifelong ambition for that lady – what you did not know is that when we taped these programs with her a few weeks ago, she was suffering from stage 4 cancer, and sadly, on December 5, Cindy Stowell passed away.
"So from all of us here at Jeopardy!, our sincere condolences to her family and her friends."
