The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 Episode 2 Recap: Teresa Giudice Reignites Her Feud With Joe & Melissa Gorga

Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reignited the feud between Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga, and it looks like we’re in for a season of backstabs between the brother and sister.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, you know the season premiere found Teresa opening up about Joe steering clear of their father in recent months, signaling that things were going south for the family.

“My brother used to be around more when my mom first passed away, and I’m really nervous to say anything to him because when I brought this up in the past, it got ugly,” Teresa explained of the situation in a confessional.

“My brother and I have been doing really well for a while now, and I definitely don’t want history to repeat itself. Life is short. I just don’t want my brother to have any regrets.”

In true Teresa fashion, she brought it up during a family gathering. Thankfully, she did not throw some tables. She’s learned from her mistakes.

Things started to get heated during the dinner party, with Joe’s father Giacinto yelling about his son not calling him, going as far as saying “F–k you” to him.

“Are you going to be around more for this one? He wants you around more,” she said. “The kid that’s not around the most, that’s the kid you always want.”

Melissa who has feuded with Teresa in the past because of her association with her brother took to a confessional to complain about the whole thing.

“Who brings up a super sensitive, going-to-cause-a-problem conversation on Easter Sunday? Especially in front of my father-in-law, who is super upset as it is,” she asked.

“This is definitely not the day, the time, the place. Like, your timing sucks.”

“Not on Easter,” Melissa added.

“This conversation gets my skin crawling because I get instant flashbacks of the pain that Joe went through years ago over conversations that were similar.”

“I know my husband. When you push him, and you constantly say the same thing to him over and over again, I know he’s going to explode. Joe is a ticking time bomb. It’s going to happen.”

Joe made it clear that he was getting sick of the way Teresa was acting.

“You gotta cut that out,” he snapped at Teresa.

“You always bring that up in front of Daddy. ‘Oh you work too much, you’re not around.’ Listen to me, if I was sitting in a bar all day, if I was sitting in restaurants, that’s a different story. But what am I going to do? When you put in 15 hours a day, hard work? I’m exhausted.”

“You know my life. You know the business, it’s crazy. I work hardcore, all day, every day, nonstop. Unbelievable stresses,” Joe added.

“My business takes all my freakin time. Is he going to pay my bills? No one pays my bills. What am I going to do, just give it all up?”

That was not all Teresa had to say, however.

“I’m just saying, he bitches to me all the time,” she complained. “I got to hear him! ‘Your brother don’t call me. It’s been five days.’“

“Since I’ve lost my mom, holidays are more emotional. I’m just trying to make the holiday as best as I can for my dad. I just want to make him happy. He needs that,” Teresa said, addressing the cameras.

“Before I went away, I spent a lot of time with my mom. And right now all I can think about is how when I came home, I wished I spent more time with my mom. So it’s frustrating that my brother makes the effort to see my dad just on a holiday.”

Teresa’s daughter, Gia, turned to her uncle Joe with her take on what was going on.

“It’s not fair,” said the teenager. “We get it so much from Nonno, you don’t even know. I know you have work, trust me, I know. But if you don’t call him for a day, he says something. … At least just try, in a week, just one designated day for Nonno.”

But there was no getting through to Joe who maintained that he was a busy man.

“I don’t give a s—,” yelled Teresa. “You have to make time. In life, that’s how it is. Capeesh?”

While the fighting simmered down and everyone enjoyed the rest of the day, Joe confirmed in a confessional that he was mad at his sister.

“Teresa was always like this when we were kids,” Joe admitted. “When it came to me, she would rat me out. Why are you still doing this? It’s going to cause a big problem again, which we don’t need.”

As if that wasn’t enough drama, Margaret informed Danielle that she was going to an event hosted by Dolores and things got a little bit crazy.

“She invited me to this thing–,” said Margaret BUT Danielle butted in.

“And you coulda said, ‘No, I’m not coming because that will make Danielle very upset and very hurt. It’ll hurt her!’ Because you coulda said, ‘This would hurt me if the tables were turned.’ You coulda said anything but, ‘Yes, I’ll come."”

As Margaret tried to calm Danielle down, the former main cast member decided to storm off, but she came back with a parting shot:

“What is it that you two really have in common? You cheated on your husband, and she got cheated on?”

That has got to be one of the best one-liners in the history of the series, and just like that, it looks like another friendship is over.

What are your thoughts on all the drama?

Antonia Gorga Dies; Mother of Teresa Giudice, Joe Gorga Was 66

A beloved member of the Housewives family has passed away.

Antonia Gorga, the mother of The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga, has died at the age of 66.

It is not immediately clear what the cause of Antonia’s death was.

The elder Gorga, who made several appearances on her kids’ Bravo show, passed away earlier this weekend, according to People.

Both siblings were close with their mother through the years.

Often sharing moments they spent together on social media, the most recent was a December 19 post by Teresa Giudice to Instagram.

You can see that image of mother and daughter above.

“Mommy I love you so much,” Teresa captioned the sweet photo of herself and her mother, both smiling bright and looking truly happy.

The 44-year-old controversy magnet clearly adored the matriarch of her family, adding the hashtag “#daughtersloveforhermom.”

Her younger brother Joe and his wife Melissa Gorga, both 37, had previously honored the Gorga matriarch in the most eternal fashion:

Their 12-year-old daughter is named after her.

Likely still in mourning and taking care of her affairs, neither Giudice nor the Gorgas have addressed Antonia’s death on social media.

Giudice’s last social media was on Instagram March 1, where she showed off her work with the NephCure Kidney International Foundation.

Joe’s last update was an Instagram shout-out to his wife on Valentine’s Day, while Melissa posted a selfie along with her son yesterday.

Those fans who watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online don’t need to be reminded that their lives have been full of drama.

Lately, though, things have been relatively quiet.

The siblings recently united for a Christmas Eve celebration, the first Teresa has hosted had at home since her husband went to jail.

Teresa Giudice’s husband of 17 years, Joe, is serving out a 41-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud in federal prison in Fort Dix, N.J.

“Merry Christmas Eve with the family,” she gushed in her caption of a photo of the couple’s four daughters, along with her little brother’s kids.

Teresa and Joe share Gia, 16, Gabriella, 12, Milania, 11, and Audriana, 7; Melissa and Joe are parents to Antonia, Gino, 8 and Joey, 5.

Our condolences to the family this weekend.

No matter what they’ve been through, or what you think of some of their life choices, family has been at the center of all that they do.

Losing a loved one is a deeply painful experience for anyone, obviously, and especially for such a tight-knit family unit like the Gorgas.

Our thoughts are with them at this time.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga: Totes BFFs, Totes Ignoring Jacqueline Laurita

It’s natural for some women to become close to one another if they have a mutual disdain for another woman.

Such is the case for Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, who are now besties because they’ve fallen out with their Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star, Jacqueline Laurita.

“Teresa and Melissa are real friends,” a source told Radar Online of the once-warring siser-inlaws

“They are getting along very well.”

On March 15th, Gorga and Giudice attended co-star Robyn Levy and wife Christina Flores‘s Autism fundraising event in Saddlebrook, New Jersey with their respective husbands.

“Melissa arrived with her husband Joe first to the event, but as soon the Giudices walked in the door, Melissa ran over and grabbed Teresa like she was excited to see her,” someone at the event recalled.

“Melissa and Teresa then hugged and chatted with their husbands and a few friends for several minutes. They were all smiles and didn’t seem to have any hate going on between them.”

After they wrapped up their pleasantries, “the Joes moved to the other side of the room while Teresa and Melissa side-by-side walked around saying hi to people.

“They seemed in good spirits and to be enjoying each other’s company.”

The event came a few weeks after Laurita and Levy fought while filming in Vermont.  Lawyers had to get involved because Levy had physically threatened Laurita.

Laurita was furious that Giudice and Gorga didn’t stand up for her, and is currently not on speaking terms with either.

“Teresa and Melissa took Robyn’s side because they thought Jacqueline provoked her, and that made Jacqueline absolutely crazy,” a source told Radar Online.

Laurita is allegedly planning to reveal a bunch of “deep, dark secrets” that Giudice and Gorga have kept over the years.

Teresa Giudice Makes Peace With Melissa Gorga Post-Prison

Last week, Teresa Giudice was released from prison after serving almost a year behind bars on bankruptcy fraud charges.

In the days since her triumphant return home, Teresa has spent time with her family and offered holiday greetings to her fans.

There have been rumors that the experience of being locked up has changed Teresa for the better, but we found it a bit hard to believe at first.

After all, she received a Lexus as a coming home present, and sources say she’s been talking about her “comeback” non-stop.

Sounds like the same old T to us.

The latest report from Radar Online, however, has us thinking that Tre may have actually changed her ways.

The website claims that one of Teresa’s first orders of business was making amends with Melissa Gorga, her sister-in-law and longtime rival.

“Christmas Eve was a time for new beginnings for Melissa and Teresa,” a source tells the website. “They had a very real heart to heart as soon as Teresa arrived at Melissa’s house. It lasted for about forty-five minutes.

“The two have had their issues over the years but Teresa gained a new perspective on their relationship while she was in prison.

“Her brother, Joe, obviously loves Melissa, and Teresa recognizes that is really all that matters. They hope to move forward with new respect and admiration for each other.”

If you’re thinking that scene sounds a little schmaltzy and disingenuous, you’re not alone.

The insider says many in Teresa’s inner circle believe the kiss-and-make-up session was staged for the show.

“Why didn’t Melissa once visit Teresa in prison? The minute the cameras stop rolling, they’ll probably be back not speaking again,” says one source close to Teresa.

Melissa Gorga to Be FIRED From The Real Housewives of New Jersey?!

For months, we’ve been anticipating Teresa Giudice’s return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The mother of four is still behind bars, but she’s reportedly already worked out a deal to appear in the show’s next season, and now it seems producers might be planning to sweeten the deal by giving Teresa the ultimate homecoming present.

Yes, according to Radar Online, Bravo execs are hoping to fire Melissa Gorga in the very near future.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, you know that Melissa’s rivalry with Teresa often provides plenty of entertainment.

The problem, it seems, is that upcoming Teresa segments will focus on her struggle to readjust to life on the outside while preparing for her husband, Joe Giudice, to begin serving his own 41-month sentence.

It’s a high drama, and it’ll likely make for good ratings  – but it also makes Melissa the odd woman out.

“Bravo warned Melissa that she is very boring and has no storyline,” says one insider.

“She doesn’t fight with Joe, and the music career thing didn’t work out. She really has nothing else going on.”

As part of a last-ditch effort to create some drama, Melissa opened up a clothing boutique that will compete with a store already owned by “friend of the Housewives” Kim DePaola, but sources say it’s too little, too late.

“That’s why she is opening up the store, so that’s her storyline,” says the production insider. “One of the storylines is going be Melissa’s store against Kim’s store…It’s all to make herself interesting again.”

Yes, nothing makes for more compelling viewing than two Housewife hangers-on attempting to top one another’s fourth quarter sales figures…Sorry, we just dozed off for a second.
