Karlie Kloss Marries Josh Kushner! (And Gets Snubbed by Taylor Swift?)

Karlie Kloss is a married woman.

But is she also a scorned friend?

The 26-year-old supermodel exchanged vows this week with her 33-year-old businessman boyfriend, Joshua Kushner, sharing a photo from the couple’s special day on social media.

“10.18.2018,” she wrote as a very simple caption to the above image on Instagram.

A represenative for the stars has confirmed to People Magazine that Kloss and Kushner held a small, Jewish ceremony in upstate New York on Thursday, with fewer than 80 people in attendance.

(They will also host a larger celebration for friends and loved ones some time this spring.)

The Project Runway host donned a custom Dior gown for the ceremony and was “beaming with happiness,” claims a friend who was in attendance.

But this friend was NOT Taylor Swift.

Swift was not at her close friend’s wedding, raising many questions among fans who have been wondering if these two are still close.

Kloss’ new husband, it ought to be noted, is the brother of Jared Kushner.

Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump, who is the daughter of President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump is an evil, mentally imbalanced human being who is feuding with Swift due to the latter’s endorsement of two Democratic candidates in Tennessee.

So, it’s only natural to wonder whether Kloss’ connection to the Kushner family has caused a rift in her friendship with Swift.

Heck, maybe Swift was afraid a member of the Trump family would actually be in attendance at the ceremony.

It turns out that Taylor was simply in Australia on Thursday, as she noted herself on Instagram.

This trip was likely planned for several weeks, if not months, in advance, but we still can’t help but speculate over why she couldn’t cancel the visit in order to attend Kloss’ wedding.

Something does seem to be amiss here.

Kushner proposed back in July with a high-carat cushion cut diamond in a platinum solitaire setting with a diamond pavé band.

As you can see above, Kloss was not shy about showing the rock off at the time.

But she also said some nice things about Kushner, focusing on who he is as a person more than just the diamond he could afford to get for her.

“I love you more than I have words to express,” Karlie wrote this summer as a caption to the picture immediately above.

She added:

“Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over.”

In September, Kloss opened up about her engagement a bit more, telling Vogue:

“The proposal was romantic and sweet. We spent the weekend in upstate New York, just the two of us.”

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

But not to Karlie’s new brother-in-law.

That guy sucks so very much.

Karlie Kloss: Engaged to Josh Kushner! See Her Massive Ring!

Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner are ready for their forever to begin…

… right now!

Following six years of dating, the model and the brother of a rumored American traitor committed this week to spending even more time together.

Like, all of eternity together.

Because they’re engaged!!!!!!

Kloss herself confirmed the exciting news via Instagram, sharing the photo above, along with a caption that reads as follows:

I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over.

She included a diamond ring emoji along with these sweet words.

A source close to the couple, meanwhile, told People Magazine that Kushner actually “proposed a few weeks ago during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York.”

This same insider adds:

“They’re both overjoyed and happily celebrating. Their hearts are full and they’re excited to build their future together.”

Kloss, of course, is a world famous supermodel and a very close friend of Taylor Swift.

Josh is the brother of Jared Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump and is a close advisor to the White House and who may have worked with Russia to hack the 2016 Presidential election.

In response to the engagement, Donald Trump’s daughter wrote the following on Instagram:

“So, so happy for you and Josh!

“I feel blessed to have you as a sister (!!!) Karlie and look forward to the decades of happy memories we will create together as a family!”

Now for the part we know you’ve been waiting for:

A photo of the ring!

In a video shared to her Instagram Stories, the 25-year-old beauty gave her followers a glimpse at the massive diamond as she got her hair and makeup done for a photo shoot in Beijing.

Saying her phone was “blowing up” with congratulatory messages, Karlie quipped as a message across the snapshot:

“This poor makeup artist is going to kill me.”

Kloss and Kushner, who works as a venture capitalist, have been together since 2012.

They’ve managed to maintain a pretty low profile during this time, however.

But Kloss did go public last month with birthday wishes to her now-fiance.

“Happy Birthday to my love + my best friend in the Universe,” she wrote online. “Love you more than I can ever express @joshuakushner.”

She also said this during an interview with Porter:

“It’s not like I’ve ever wanted to be so secretive about my private life… Carolina Herrera always says, ‘A woman who’s an open book is boring.’ There’s no mystery anymore.

“I know in my life what really matters to me. I’m not trying to hide that from the world; I just really like having a more private private life…

“I’ve got nothing to hide, though!”

Heck, now she has two things to show off even:

A handsome fiance and a huge ring!

Donald Trump to Jared Kushner: Go Back to New York, Little Boy

If you’ve ever laid eyes on Jared Kushner, you know that the the 37-year-old husband of Ivanka Trump often affects the wide-eyed look a man who frequently uses the word “papa.”

We assume just weeks before he entered the public eye, Kushner sported Goldilocks curls and was often seen enjoying a brightly-colored, cartoonishly over-sized lollipop.

What we’re saying is, the Kush’s aesthetic doesn’t quite fit with the supreme alpha, cuck-trampling, charred-steaks-with-ketchup image that Donald Trump has worked so hard to cultivate.

As a result, the boy wonder who was once charged with everything from securng peace in the Middle East to solving America’s opioid crisis has hallen out of favor with the president in recent months.

To be fair, there are many reasons that Trump and Kushner’s bromance has come to an end in recent weeks, not the least of which is that Jared has proven horribly unqualified for the many tasks set before him.

To make matters worse, the Robert Mueller investigation is reportedly zeroing in on Kushner in a way that may soon leave the disgraced convict’s son eyeing whatever options will allow him to escape his father’s fate, up to and including testifying against the

So it should come as no surprise thay Trump is not only distancing himself from Jared and Ivanka, he’s targeting his signature brand of schoolyard trash talk squarely at the son-in-law that he used to favor above his own sons.

Much has been made of the fact that Jared and Ivanka were the only members of the extended Trump clan to not join the president at Mar-A-Lago for the weekend’s Easter festivities.

Yes, the couple practices orthodox Judaism, but even Vanessa Trump made the trip to Palm Beach, despite the fact that she recently filed for divorce from Donald Trump Jr.

But according to new claims made in author Ronald Kessler’s  The Trump White House: Changing the Rules of the Game, the Donald’s disdain for Kushner predates the recent holiday by several months:

“Look at Jared, he looks like a little boy, like a child,” Trump reportedly complained after watching one of Kushner’s first TV appearances.

Kessler claims that Trump then informed Jared and Ivanka that “they never should have left New York.”

He “made it clear to them that he would not mind if they gave up their White House roles,” Kessler writes.

And this is hardly the first report of tension between Trump and Kushner.

The New York Times reported last month that Trump “privately asked” Chief of Staff John Kelly for help in removing Jared and Ianka from the White House.

But because being afraid of your daughter and her spindly husband is the ultimate alpha move, the president simultaneously encouraged Jared and Ivanka to remain in their current roles.

The best part of all this is that the Kushners are reportedly dying to return to their posh, relatively-felony-free life in Manhattan, but are staying on at the White House for fear of angering Trump.

“If they leave they’ll be happy to go back to their old lives,” a source close to the situation tells People magazine.

“They love their kids so much and this is so distracting, to be a young family and have all this pressure instead of focusing on the kids.”

It’s the type of awkward situation that every family can relate to.

The only difference is, when you don’t want to ask your great-aunt Cheryl for the gifr receipt for that panini-maker she got you for Christmas, it’s extremely unlikely that you’ll both wind up wearing county orange jumpsuits.

Yes, Jared Kushner Appeared on an Episode of Gossip Girl

I have never sought the spotlight.

So stated Jared Kushner after speaking in private to the Senate Intel Committee this week.

The son-in-law of Donald Trump, Kusher answered questions in this session about allegations that he colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 Presidential election, following the revelation that he met on a number of occasions with representatives from that foreign adversary.

In response to the charges, Kushner said simply afterward: "I did not collude."

He also uttered the above quote about the spotlight, which got our attention because… come on, Jared!

We all know you and wife Ivanka Trump appeared on a 2010 episode of the former CW smash Gossip Girl!

It"s true!

You can see for yourself via the screen capture below:

For their cameo, Kushner is presenting an award at a New York Observer party, while Trump is seen smiling in the background.

It actually aired on the couple"s one-year wedding anniversary, and Ivanka later quipped that she wasn"t sure you could refer to what she"s doing in the clip below as "acting, per se."

Ah, that classic Trump self-deprecation!

Check out the throwback video below and think back to a more innocent time… when Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were simply appeared on teen TV shows, not threatening our national security.

Ellen Pompeo to Ivanka Trump: You Actually F-ck Jared Kushner?!?

Ellen Pompeo may play a doctor who saves lives on television…

… but she just played a very different role on Twitter:

The server of total and complete Ivanka Trump shade.

And Jared Kushner, we should add.

On Monday, the President’s son-in-law – who has amassed an unusual amount of White House power for someone with no political or foreign policy experience whatsoever – gave a speech at a technology roundtable.

Despite Kushner having often been in the news since Donald Trump was elected, and despite the many responsibilities he’s been given by this administration, this marked one of the few times the public has heard him talk.

Did he blow everyone away?

Was it obvious from the get-go why President Trump has entrusted Kushner with an array of domestic and international tasks and duties?

Not to Pompeo.

“Ok ok this… omg @IvankaTrump you have sex with this guy??? I can’t aahhhhhaaaa,” Pompeo Tweeted along with a link to Kushner’s speech.

The veteran Grey’s Anatomy really couldn’t believe it.

She had to jump back online and repeat herself shortly after making her initial comment.

“Wait wait one more time aaahhhhaaaa,” Pompeo added.

Aside from once wondering who needs a penis to get things done, Pompeo isn’t exactly the type of celebrity to make outrageous statements.

She isn’t Sarah Silverman. Or even Katy Perry.

She doesn’t usually make waves on social media or step into the political fray, which is what makes this Tweet both so noteworthy and so hilarious.

pompeo tweets

It was as if Pompeo truly could not help herself.

She was so taken aback and so turned off by Kushner’s speech that she literally couldn’t comprehend how anyone could have sex with him.

And yet… Ivanka has had sex with Jared Kushner.

At least three times by our count, considering the couple has three children, two sons and a daughter.

The replies on Pompeo’s page were mostly congratulatory after she slammed Kushner, with one following even welcoming the actress to the “blocked by Donald Trump club.”

Alas, the Commander-in-Chief is yet to take this step when it comes to Pompeo.

Another user replied: “ELLEN UR A SAVAGE OMG.”

And another paid homage to the most famous Meredith Grey quote in Grey’s Anatomy quotes history by writing:

“Can someone help me be friends with @EllenPompeo? Choose me. Pick me. Love me!”

Mad props to this person. We’d totally understand why someone would have sex with him or her.

Jared Kushner: Trump Names Son-in-Law to Top Adviser Role

Jared Kushner hasn’t faced a whole lot of adversity in his young life.

The husband of Ivanka Trump just turned 36 today, but is already the scion of a multi-billion dollar real estate empire and the publisher of the New York Observer (which he purchased at age 25 for a cool $ 10 million).

But despite his life of unimaginable privilege, Kushner is being credited with “triumphing” over hardship this week, due to his efforts to skirt anti-nepotism laws designed to prevent people in his position from assuming official roles as the president’s right-hand man.

Kushner played a significant role in Donald Trump’s successful presidential campaign, and now Trump has announced plans to reward his son-in-law with a non-salaried (but highly influential) role as senior adviser to the president.

Kushner has announced plans to step down as CEO of Kushner companies and divest from a “significant number” of his assets, but many still believe that Trump would be in violation of a 50-year-old anti-nepotism law if he were to appoint Kushner to his staff.

The law was enacted after John F. Kennedy appointed his younger brother, Robert F. Kennedy, to the post of attorney general.

This is far from the first Trump appointment to ignite controversy, but in this case, there may be legal recourse for those seeking to prevent the president-elect from getting his way.

Many have already called for the Justice Department and the Office of Government Ethics to review the legality of the appointment, and it’s widely agreed that the appointment would put the Trump administration in clear and direct violation of the law.

“There is a strong case to be made that the White House is an ‘agency’ for purposes of the anti-nepotism statute and that it would apply to bar Mr. Kushner’s appointment as a White House staff member,” wrote Rep. John Conyers in a statement released to the media on Monday.

Though he had no experience in the political arena prior to taking a position with his father-in-law’s campaign, Kushner’s lack of experience is not what’s at issue.

Rather, opponents to his appointment argue that Trump’s hiring of family members for top White House positions simply

“The problem is that when you hire relatives it raises questions about why,” says CNN legal consultant Larry Noble.

“Follow the anti-nepotism laws, they are meant to apply to the President. The point of the statute was to stop the President from hiring relatives, including son-in-laws.”

He adds:

“A classic abuse of hiring authority is hiring your own relatives.”

Jared Kushner: Who Is Ivanka Trump"s Husband?

He’s remained largely behind the scenes while his father-in-law attempts to become the next president of the United States of America.

But who, pray tell, is the man married to Ivanka Trump?

Kushner, 35, is a real estate developer, investor and publisher of The New York Observer, which he purchased in 2006 for $ 10 million.

He took over as CEO of his father Charles’ business, Kushner Companies in 2008 because the elder Kushner was sentence to two years in prison.

The crime?  “Tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering,” according to Heavy.com.

Kusher and Trump married in 2009 and have three children together – Arabella, 5, Joseph, who turns 2 in October and Theodore, born in March of this year.

And while he’s acting as an unofficial advisor to Trump (the Republican nominee), Kushner reportedly donated over $ 100,000 to Democratic Party campaigns over a period of 20+ years.

Ivanka recently praised her husband for being an exemplary family man.

“Jared is really incredibly hands on as a dad,” she told People Magazine.

“For him what’s most important is his family. So we work really hard during the week and we really prioritize weekends for just being sort of reconnecting as a family.

“It’s very seldom that we’ll have a commitment on a Saturday or a Sunday. It’s really about us being together.”

Earlier this month, Kushner published a piece in the Observer refuting claims that his father-in-law was anti-semitic (Ivana converted to Judaism for her husband when they married).

The difference between me and the journalists and Twitter throngs who find it so convenient to dismiss my father in law is simple. I know him and they don’t,” Kusher wrote.

“It doesn’t take a ton of courage to join a mob. It’s actually the easiest thing to do. What’s a little harder is to weigh carefully a person’s actions over the course of a long and exceptionally distinguished career,” he continued.

“The best lesson I have learned from watching this election from the front row is that we are all better off when we challenge what we believe to be truths and seek the people who disagree with us to try and understand their point of view.”
