Rudy Giuliani Slams Beyonce: Black Lives Matter More to Me Than to Her!

Look out, Rudy Giuliani.

The Beygency is totally coming for you.

On Monday morning, just hours after Beyonce had once again made herself the talk of an awards show, the former Mayor of New York made it clear just how impressed he was by the singer’s Video Music Awards performance.

Actually, “unimpressed” does not do Giuliani’s reaction justice.

Aside from her amazing 15-minute set (below), Beyonce made headlines for bringing the Mothers of the Movement as her guests to the event.

This is a group comprised of parents of who have lost a child to gun violence.

It includes the mothers of African-American teens Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin.

But this symbolic gesture did not sit well with Giuliani.

“I ran the largest and best police department in the world, the New York City Police Department,” Giuliani whined on Fox & Friends, adding:

“I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage.”

That’s undeniable.

Giuliani was the Mayor of a gigantic city and made a name for himself by being especially tough on crime.

Of course he was in a position to literally, directly save people’s lives.

It’s unclear what this has to do with a celebrity trying to draw attention to an issue of importance; or why anyone would find a problem with that.

But Giuliani went on to slam pretty much anyone who has anything negative to say about police brutality incidents.

He said it was a “shame” that Beyonce chose the VMA stage to push her agenda.

Back in February, Giuliani also laid into Beyonce.

Following the superstar debuting her track “Formation” – which contains references to Hurricane Katrina and the Black Lives Matter movement – during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, Giuliani once again appeared on Fox News.

This time, he said the following:

“I thought it was really outrageous that she used it as a platform to attack police officers, the people who protect her and protect us and keep us alive.”

He continued:

“What we should be doing in the African American community, and all communities, is build up respect for police officers and focus on the fact that when something does go wrong, OK, we’ll work on that.

“But the vast majority of police officers risk their lives to keep us safe.”

We’re sure Beyonce would agree with that statement.

Last month, the superstar addressed the police killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile with a note stating:

“We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities.

“It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they ‘stop killing us.’ We don’t need sympathy. We need everyone to respect our lives.

“This is a human fight.

“No matter your race, gender or sexual orientation. This is a fight for anyone who feels marginalized, who is struggling for freedom and human rights.”

Beyonce has been an outspoken proponent of the Black Lives Matter movement, much to the chagrin of the man who is likely angling to take over for Mike Pence after he quits as Donald Trump’s Vice President.

To her credit, though, she has also put her money where her mouth is.

TIDAL –  the streaming service Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z launched and in which she has an ownership stake – donated $ 1.5 million to Black Lives Matter and other social justice organizations in February.

Why do we somehow doubt Giuliani is aware of that?

In the end, however, there’s only one thing shocking about any aspect of this story.

And that’s that Giuliani went more than 90 seconds without mentioning the words “nine” and “eleven.”

National Anthem Singer Goes Rogue, Says "All Lives Matter"

Over the years, plenty of sporting events have featured plenty of controversial national anthems.

There was the time Nelly Furtado butchered "O Canada."

And also the time Aaron Lewis forgot the words to the Star Spangled Banner.

But we"ve never had an incident quite like this before…

On Tuesday night, a group called The Tenors sang the Canadian national anthem in San Diego during the seventh inning of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

At one point, a member changed lyrics from the first verse of the song, substituting “With glowing hearts we see thee rise, the True North strong and free,” to the following:

“We"re all brothers and sisters, all lives matter.”

All lives matter, of course, is the response of total idiots to the Black Lives Matter movement, as these morons (and bigots?) can"t seem to comprehend why it"s important these days to emphasize the importance of African-American lives.

The entire point of the movement is that all lives do not appear to matter in the same way, not after a number of racially-charged incident between police officers and African-Americans that have left many in the latter community dead.

Very soon after the anthem change last night, The Tenors released a statement.

It condemned the member of the group who changed the lyrics and said he did so without the knowledge of the other singers.

Referring to Remigio Pereira, the statement read as follows:

The Tenors are deeply sorry for the disrespectful and misguided lack of judgment by one member of the group acting as a ‘lone wolf’ today during the singing of the Canadian national anthem at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Diego.

The other members of the group are shocked and embarrassed by the actions of Remigio Pereira, who changed the lyrics of our treasured anthem and used this coveted platform to serve his own political views.

Our sincere apologies and regrets go out to everyone who witnessed this shameful act, to our fellow Canadians, to Major League Baseball, to our friends, families, fans and to all those affected.

The actions of one member of this group were extremely selfish and he will not be performing with The Tenors until further notice.

Tuesday’s All-Star Game took place four days after five Dallas police officers were killed by a gunman… and the week after two black men were killed by police.

Becky G. Apologizes For "All Lives Matter" Tweet

She didn’t mean to offend anyone.

Pop star Becky G. tweeted about the Baton Rouge shooting of Alton Sterling by two police officers.

“My heart hurts. All lives matter,” the pop star tweeted.

Fans weren’t happy with her choice of words, and retaliated by demanding an explanation as to why she didn’t use the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

“There is a reason I didn’t use the hashtag,” she responded

“All i’m saying is that everyone deserves to live. No ones life should be taken away.”

She gave it a second shot, to no avail.

“My prayers go out to the family and loved ones of #AltonSterling we are with you.”

Though she deleted these two tweets, some fans were able to screen grab them in time.  When they demanded to know why she deleted them

“Also, about my tweet earlier. There was no bad intention behind what said. I apologize,” Becky G. tweeted.

“Wasn’t aware of the affiliation of those specific words and a previous “movement” that was started against the issue. My apologies.”

Fans were quick to forgive her, according to E! News.

One even tweeted, “It takes a really big person to apologize for something that you simply just had good intentions for all is forgiven and thank u.”

The Mexican-American pop star is no stranger to controversial statements.

She recently spoke to USA Today about Donald Trump running for president, and her new single, We Are Mexico that was dedicated to pretty much all of Trump’s offense remarks about immigrants.

“I don’t believe in fighting fire with fire,” she explained.

“All I was simply doing with that song was sharing the story of my family and our version of the American Dream.

“You know, my grandparents literally being brave enough to come to another country, not knowing the language, literally with the shirts on (their) back, simply to give their family a better life. And I think that’s beautiful and that’s not just the story of Latinos.

“That’s the story of so many people coming to this land that’s supposed to be the land of opportunity, the land to change your life.”

I like this chick.

Kylie Jenner: Criticized By Black Lives Matter Movement?

Kylie Jenner has faced lots of criticism over the course of her career, but the reality star has never (to our knowledge) been accused of being a bigot.

That’s what makes the current controversy involving Kylie and the Black Lives Matter movement so confusing:

It all started when an image that purportedly showed an screen shot from Kylie’s Instagram page made the sounds online.

The photo showed an Instagram user accusing Kylie of being a “wannabe black girl” and asking what she’s done for the Black Lives movement.

A response from Kylie, allegedly captured in the photo, shows the 18-year-old responding simply, “I support Black Lives Matter.”

Many were confused when Kylie retweeted the viral image with a caption reading, “Btw…this is fake.”

After many fans took Kylie’s comment as an indication that she doesn’t support Black Lives Matter, she clarifiied things (somewhat) by tweeting:

“Not saying that’s what I don’t support.. It’s just fake.”

Needless to say, the whole thing is a bit confusing, but we think what Kylie is trying to say is that the alleged screen shot from her Instagram page is completely fabricated, including her statement of support.

However, while that response was fake, Kylie does support BLM…or at least she doesn’t not support it. Or something.

In any event, Kylie has been criticized for not taking the opportunity to make a stronger statement about the racial unrest in this country.

Given the amount of influence she holds over millions of young people, we hope she does so at some point.

But for now, if she wants to avoid further controversy, it might be best to just stick to the racy Instagram selfies that made her famous.
