Jon Gosselin: My Girlfriend is SO Much Nicer Than Kate!

Recently, Jon Gosselin and his daughter Hannah have been spending plenty of time together. But even with dad duties, he still has his love life.

In fact, Jon has been dating his current girlfriend for a while now.

And he’s shared a couple of new, very rare photos of the two of them together.

Jon Gosselin’s life hasn’t been the most glamorous since he and Kate had their falling out.

His emotional health has almost certainly improved since his escape from Kate Gosselin’s presence. …

(We just wish that we could say the same for those poor children!)

But his lifestyle is no longer that of a reality star. He has worked as waiter at one of those restaurant chains that “Millennials are killing,” he’s worked installing solar panels, he’s worked as a DJ.

Oh, and there was that time that he worked as a stripper. (Okay, so he danced and took off his shirt, but that was it)

But there has been one enduring light in his life — aside from his children. He has been dating Colleen Conrad since October of 2014.

This week, Jon Gosselin shared a couple of snaps of him with Colleen.

He captioned one: “Tailgating at the Def Leopard and Journey concert in Philly!!!!”

The next photo, at the concert itself, is captioned:

“Def Leopard and Journey!!! Let’s go!!!”

Journey is one of the most famous ’80s bands out there, mostly for that one song.

Def Leppard (yes, the band’s spelling) is an English New Wave rock band.

One might characterize it all as “dad music,” but it looks like Colleen is having a good time. She’s smiling, anyway.

Good for them for enjoing themselves!

Almost exactly one year ago, Jon congratulated his girlfriend for completing nursing school.

Some fans have speculated about how Jon can afford luxuries like concert tickets (even if they aren’t to the, um, most fresh-faced or current music groups) when he is said to have only a few thousand dollars to his name.

(Keep in mind that Kate Gosselin is suing Jon at the moment for enough money to buy a small house)

There may be a simple explanation: perhaps Colleen bought the tickets as a treat for Jon. Or for her — we don’t know what sort of music she enjoys.

Besides, even if Jon bought these tickets himself, it’s not like it would make any impact on whether or not he can pay Kate the $ 132,875 that he owes her.

In the mean time, fans are treated to these rare snaps of Jon and his lady love.

The last time that fans got to see Colleen, she was with Jon and Hannah as they celebrated a win by the Philadelphia Eagles, which is a football team.

Jon and his 14-year-old daughter have had a special bond, and she has been seen more and more with her father in recent months.

The two have gotten coffee and gotten ice cream and gone on road trips.

It’s nice to see that they still have a relationship with each other despite, well, the intense complications of Jon and Kate’s divorce.

Plus, any moment that any of Kate’s children get to spend away from her clutches is a blessing, don’t you think?

Colleen, by the way, has reportedly recently moved in with Jon.

She also has two children from a previous relationship.

While we don’t think that Jon & Colleen Plus Ten will be a reality series any time soon (it wouldn’t work unless they have three kids, and then it could be Jon & Colleen Plus Thirteen, which rhymes but probably isn’t worth it), they share that much more in common.

Good for them. And good for Jon for being able to find a new life after Kate.

We look forward to the day when the Gosselin children can all get their fresh start in life and breathe free air.

Grey"s Anatomy Fans: Sarah Drew Begs You to Be Nicer to Kelly McCreary

Just last month, Sarah Drew departed from Grey’s Anatomy. 

Since then, some of her fans have apparently been harassing her friend and colleague who continues to act on the long-running ABC drama.

Sarah is speaking out … and pleading with her fans to be kind.

Taking to Twitter, Sarah Drew writes to her followers:

“I need to say something to some of you.”

Note that she is not blaming everyone for the actions of bad apples.

“I say ‘some’ because I know that many of you are not participating in this.”

She acknowledges that fans are, of course, passionate about the media that they consume.

“Look, I know these characters mean so much to you — believe me, they mean a lot to me, too — but I do not feel defended when you attack my friends.”

Some of her fans have been giving Kelly McCreary a very hard time.

“My beautiful, loving, loyal sister, Kelly, is a brilliant, fiercely talented team player who ALWAYS shows up and dedicates herself to the stories she is asked to tell.”

Actors should not be attacked for the roles that they play. Obviously.

“Please stop attacking her for doing her job.”

She implores them to remember that the actors are friends.

“When you hurt her, you hurt me.”

She hopes that people will support McCreary as they supported her.

“When you show kindness to her, you show kindness to me.”

She then has a message that we should all take to heart.

“Please be Kind.”

See, Sarah Drew’s character on Grey’s Anatomy, for those of you who haven’t watched the series since the Bush Administration, was in a relationship with Jesse Williams’ character.

A lot of fans, as they watch a show, grow attached not only to characters but to relationships. These fans are known as “shippers,” whether the relationship that they adore is canon or exists only in their hopes and dreams.

Now that Drew’s character has departed from the series, Kelly McCreary’s character is in a relationship with Williams.’

Though these fans, of course, are perfectly aware that these are fictional characters played by actors, sometimes, when you’re passionate about something, it can be easy to blur the lines.

And they’ll send real hate to real people.

Drew is absolutely right for speaking up in defense of her friend. Obviously.

One of the problems with the ready accesibility of actors these days is that they can see their fans at their worst.

For every few dozen people who just tweet politely at their faves, there is some bad apple who tries to ruin social media for everyone else.

A lot of people don’t realize that they are sexually harassing their favorite celebrities. Telling your friend that you’re crushing on a hot actor is one thing. Tweeting to them what you’d like to do with them is … something else.

Livetweeting can then become a hazard, because people might tag an actor as they tweet their hate at a character.

That’s not appropriate. it’s harassment. It’s toxic. It’s also, quite frankly, embarrassing.

It may be that what has fans really upset is the shocking departures of two beloved actors — and their characters.

But that wasn’t McCreary’s fault.

There were also people who tried to blame series star Ellen Pompeo, claiming that her hard-fought salary increase was responsible for the series thinning its cast to save money.

That has been widely dismissed as absurd.

Sometimes, when fans are angry, they blame the wrong people.

We just wish that social media did not make it so easy for them to lash out. Please think before you tweet.

Teresa Giudice: Sofia Vergara Should Be Nicer Since She"s an Immigrant!

Earlier this month, NeNe Leakes went up on stage and told a heckler that she hoped that she gets raped. It was neither a good thing to say nor a good career move.

Well, there must be something awful in the air that"s making Real Housewives go up on stage and stay stupid, offensive things. This time, the perpetrator is Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.

Teresa Giudice … being unkind? Difficult to imagine, we know. As you"ll see in the video below, the subject of her ire is none other than actress Sofia Vergara.

Teresa Giudice is getting blasted right now for some inflammatory, offensive comments that she made on stage for a panel discussion titled: "Gettin" Real With The Housewives."

Teresa, perhaps best known for flipping tables and for serving time in prison, was asked about her celebrity encounters.

The best … and the worst.

Teresa was quick to point the finger at Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara.

She describes Sofia as a "b–ch," saying that she stepped in front of her and captured the spotlight.

Oh, and Teresa also commented that Sofia should be nicer, because she"s an immigrant.

Obviously, this is offensive, potentially on multiple levels.

Let"s start with how it"s potentially unfair — Teresa seems to be describing Sofia"s entire personality based upon a single encounter in which the two women were photographed together.

But … what"s really grabbing people"s attention is the outright xenophobia and potential racism.

The suggestions that immigrants in particular should be nice or good-natured is appalling.

Sure, everyone should be nice. 

Suggesting that a particular class of people are obligated to be nice … has all sorts of nasty implications and really shows that you don"t consider them to be equals.

While the folks over at TMZ who first shared this video were quick to point out the xenophobia, we think that Teresa is specifically motivated by racism.

Do you know why we think that this is racism and not more garden variety xenophobia?

Because Teresa Giudice"s husband, Joe Giudice, is an immigrant.

Seriously.

The dude"s in prison now, and it"s even possible that Joe Giudice will be deported after he finishes serving his sentence.

Joe was born in Italy, which makes him an immigrant.

What"s more is that Joe Giudice never obtained US citizenship.

So we more than suspect that Teresa doesn"t have a problem with just any old immigrant.

What"s different about Sofia? Well, she"s not a European immigrant — she"s Columbian.

Sofia also became a US citizen — even getting a perfect score on her citizenship test. Which should be easy for US citizens who were born here but requires a lot of learning for a newcomer.

(Seriously, you can take it for fun online and it"s not hard, but a disturbingly large number of native citizens would be unable to pass it)

Sofia Vergara is a celebrated, award-winning actress and the highest paid woman on television. She also ranks reasonably high up there among the most powerful women in the world, in some listings.

We guess that, to Teresa Giudice, she was born in Columbia and that makes her somehow … lesser. That"s sad.

You know what else jumps out at us about this?

Teresa Giudice believing that immigrants should be nice implies that she doesn"t believe that native citizens have to be friendly.

And that explains a lot about Teresa Giudice.
