This America"s Got Talent Singer is Really Only 9 Years Old

Chris Hardwick sat in as a guest judge on America"s Got Talent on Tuesday night.

But he didn"t sit silently.

How could he, after Angelica Hale took to the stage and blew everyone away?

Only nine years old, Hale admitted at the outset of her audition that she was “a little nervous” but also “so excited” to perform for the second time this summer on the NBC competition.

She then belted out a version of Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire” that earned Hale a well-deserved standing ovation.

Close your eyes while listening to the video below and you"d never guess that the singer at the center of it is just nine years old.

Shortly after she finished, Howie Mandel asked the aspiring artist if she remembered what he told her last time.

“You said I had a good chance of winning ‘America’s Got Talent,’ and Howie, I’ll never forget that,” she adorably replied.

“I’ll never forget you and I still have not changed my mind," Mandel said this time around, after which Mel B told Hale:

“You are such a beautiful ray of light. You have an amazing voice, an amazing stage presence. I just love you.”

Simon Cowell then then confessed that he wasn"t a fan of Hale"s song choice… at first, that is.

But she then forced him to change his mind.

"You nailed it, Angelica," Cowell said.

And then the critique fell to Hardwick.

He gushed that Hale is an “adorable little child and then you open your mouth and it’s like how do those pipes fit in that tiny little body?!”

The After Midnight host then grew all dramatic and serious and announced: “I just feel like, Angelica, you are the chosen one!"

He pressed the Golden Buzzer button, confetti poured down, Hale screamed and Hardwick embraced the young reality star! Hooray!

America"s Got Talent Reacts to Death of Brandon Rogers

America’s Got Talent has issued a statement in the wake of a tragedy.

Earlier this week, Dr. Brandon Rogers was killed in a car accident, passing away at the very young age of 29.

The aspiring singer had been featured on an episode of the NBC reality series that has not yet aired, reportedly blowing the judges and the audience away with his vocals.

On Wednesday, four days after the crash took place and a day after the awful news broke, those behind America’s Got Talent acknowledged the death as follows:

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Dr. Brandon Rogers, who graced the America’s Got Talent stage as a contestant.

“Our thoughts are with his family.”

Rogers graduated from medical school in 2015 and was dedicated to his life as a doctor, friends and loved has explained this week.

However, he dabbled in music as a hobby and caught the attention of America’s Got Talent producers after they watched a video of him online, covering the Boyz II Men single “On Bended Knee.”

This cover even impressed the boy band itself, which invited Jackson to sing the ballad with them during a concert in January.

“This past weekend has been nothing short of amazing!!” wrote Jackson on Instagram shortly after this amazing experience.

“Sharing the stage with my idols…literally a dream come true!!” he added at the time. “Thank you SO much to 3 of the dopest most insanely talented singers ever @BoyzIIMen!!”

According to TMZ, the friend who was driving the car in which Rogers died fell asleep at the wheel early Saturday morning. The vehicle then veered off the road and slammed into a tree.

In an official report from the Maryland State Police, the driver told authorities he had just finished a long shift at work.

Rogers, who was pulled out of the car by this same driver, died from injuries he sustained on Sunday in the hospital.

His episode of America’s Got Talent is slated to air next month, but producers are reportedly torn on whether or not to keep his appearance on the schedule.

A source tells Us Weekly that NBC “will take the family’s guidance regarding how to best respect his memory in relationship to the episode he appears in.”

In response to Rogers’ death, Boyz II Men released a statement of its own on Tuesday.

“Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers,” it reads.

“A few moths back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us. He was great all 3 nights!

“Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer! Gone too young and gone too soon.”

You can watch Rogers take to the stage with this legendary group below:

We send our thoughts and prayers to the friends, family members and loved ones of Dr. Brandon Rogers.

May he rest in peace.

Formerly Blind 16-Year Old Amazes on America"s Got Talent

For the second time this month, a contestant on America"s Got Talent has blown us away.

And also for the second time, this contestant has overcome a disability in order to leave his or her memorable impression.

Last week, we shared the video of Mandy Harvey singing for judges, explaining how she hasn"t let the fact that she"s deaf get in the way of her musical dreams.

On Tuesday night, meanwhile, we met Christian Guardino.

A 16-old from Long Island, Guardino sang a version of The Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin You,” earning a Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel in the process.

This means he earned an automatic advancement to the show"s live quarterfinals in Las Vegas later this season.

“You were like a little mouse that turned into a lion," Simon Cowell told Christian, adding;

"You are one of my favorite contestants I’ve seen this year. Not only in terms of your voice. I just like you.

"There’s something about you, and it’s just the best possible feeling when we meet someone like you."

There aren"t many people like Christian, however.

Prior to taking the stage, Christian and his mother, Elizabeth, opened up about his journey of being blind for most of his life … before an experimental treatment gave him back his sight.

Pretty incredible, huh?

Guardino was diagnosed with a retinal disease called Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA), based on his September 2016 profile in National Geographic.

But he was actually cured of this blindness after receiving gene therapy treatment and he now can see well enough to read enlarged notes on sheet music.

Guardino has previously performed four times at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York… and now he"s off to Sin City!

Watch his audition to learn more about Christian and join us in being blown away by this young and talented man!

Dr. Brandon Rogers: America"s Got Talent Contestant Dies Before Episode Airs

Sad news out of Hollywood today, as TMZ is reporting that an extraordinarily gifted young man with bright futures in both medicine and entertainment has passed away.

Dr. Brandon Rogers filmed a heavily buzzed-about episode of America’s Got Talent several months ago, and his singing talents were such that he gained the attention of Boyz II Men and thousands of online fans before the performance even aired.

Tragically, Rogers was involved in a fatal car accident on Saturday.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away on Sunday morning.

He was just 29 years old.

Rogers graduated medical school in 2015, and though while family and friends passionately dedicated to his work within the medical community, he continued to make time for his first love: music.

Videos of Rogers’ singing caught the attention of America’s Got Talent producers, who flew the Maryland resident to Los Angeles for an audition that reportedly blew judges away.

Based on the clips Rogers uploaded to Instagram, it’s not hard to see how they were so impressed.

The word of mouth surrounding Brandon’s talent was such that iconic ’90s R&B group Boyz II Men brought him on stage to sing at one of their shows.

Today, the group released a statement honoring Rogers’ tragically short life and tremendous talent.

“Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers. A few moths back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us. He was great all 3 nights!” they wrote/

Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer! Gone too young and gone too soon.”

The video of Brandon’s performance with the group has gone viral in the wake of news of his death:

America’s Got Talent producers say they have not reached a decision with regard to when Rogers’ episode will air.

Brandon’s segment was originally scheduled to air in July.

The Rogers family tells TMZ they look forward to the whole country seeing the performance of Brandon’s lifetime.

Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.

Young Girls Shocks Judges With Amazing Vocals on America"s Got Talent

America"s Got Talent prides itself in bringing us the best talent from all over the United States of America.

While some people are getting tired of singing competitions, the ratings juggernaut has a good track record with singers.

The latest shocker comes in the form of a 9-year-old girl from Atlanta, Georgia who aspires to be just like Whitney Houston.

Her name is Angelica Hale, and she was surprisingly not shy about chatting with the judges before her performance.

"I"m nine-years-old, and I just found out that I"m going to be a big sister," she said to the crowd with a grin on her face.

The young girl then went on to chat about how happy she was to be on the show.

"I"m so happy to be here, because, like, I"ve been watching your show on Youtube and now I feel, like, like I"m in it!"

The judges and audience seemed taken with the young girl"s confidence, but nothing could prepare them for the performance the youngster was about to put on for them.

Simply put, it was breathtaking.

She performed Andra Day"s "Rise Up." The vocals were there. Something tells us the kid is going to get her wish and be a superstar one day.

Simon looked away at the beginning of the performance, as though he was waiting for the child to not hit the huge notes of the song.

His facial expression changed dramatically as her voice rose throughout. He was probably sizing her up for a recording contract.

Hey, Simon is one of the best people in the biz. He has a wealth of hit artists under his label.

Have a look at the full video below and hit the comments with your thoughts on it!

Tyra Banks to Host America"s Got Talent

America has talent. This much we’ve known for years.

But America now has also a brand new reality host, someone who is ready to introduce said talent to the NBC viewing public.

One month after Nick Cannon shocked the world by resigning as host of America’s Got Talent, producers have found his successor as host.

In a very irritating Tweet that referred to herself in the third person, Tyra Banks Tweeted the following last night:

“Surprise! TyTy is the new host of #AGT,” Banks tweeted.

The former America’s Next Top Model host went on to say she “Can’t wait 2work w/new fam,” tagging judges judges Mel B, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.

Not long after Banks’ confirmation, Mandel welcomed his new colleague with a GIF “introducing our new host.”

In recent years, the ex-supermodel has shifted her focus from on-camera television roles to the expansion of her personal brand across the professional sector.

For example, Banks debuted her Tyra Beauty cosmetics line in 2014 after completing Harvard’s Owner/Presidential Management certificate program two years before.

She’s also remained an executive producer on America’s Next Top Model… stopped by ABC sitcom Blackish… and served as an advisor on numerous episodes of the Arnold Schwarzenegger-hosted Celebrity Apprentice.

She will be taking over on America’s Got Talent for Cannon, who engaged in a public spat with NBC executives in February.

The actor and comedian said he got in trouble for joking during a stand-up routine that emceeing America’s Got Talent was calling his “black card” into question.

Cannon went on to rant about how producers considered firing him for this remark, a near-decision that caused such outrage, Cannon went ahead and resigned in response.

“I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist and a voice for my community, I will not be silenced, controlled, or treated like a piece of property,” Cannon wrote on Instagram.

He continued:

“Not to get too detailed but this isn’t the first time executives have attempted to ‘put me in my place’ for so called unruly actions. I will not stand for it.

“My moral principles will easily walk away from the millions of dollars they hang over my head.”

While Cannon was considered popular as host, initial Twitter reaction to this Banks news has been positive.

“@tyrabanks is going to do a great job hosting @nbcagt!” wrote one Twitter user, while Another fan added:

“She is perfect!!! She’s going to KILL it!!”

Other Twitter responses include:

  • “Welcome to the family, @tyrabanks. #AGT.

  • “It’s amazing to know an idol like @tyrabanks is our new host! Hopefully I can see her face to face next year! @AGT_Auditions.”

  • “I may not watch anymore; NOT a Tyra Banks fan at all. What a huge bummer. Bye bye, AGT; I’m history! HOST? She has such a flat personality.”

  • “I’m too stunned to comment appropriately right now. I’ll get back to you.”

  • “So Tyra Banks is hosting AGT now. Idk a lot about her so I can’t say anything except she’s got big shoes to fill.”

Where do you stand on Banks?

Did you even know Cannon was leaving?

How do you feel about this switch?
