Selena Gomez on Justin Bieber: No Hard Feelings!

Selena Gomez has once again spoken out on Justin Bieber.

With the release of a new album and with a new tour on tap, the 23-year old is trying to close doors on many issues from her past.

Specifically, she’s trying to move far away from her relationship with Bieber.

But it isn’t easy.

“I think people really wanted to see me fail,” Gomez tells Refinery 29 of her history as Bieber’s girlfriend.

“I’d sit down in an interview and get the most harshly asked questions. Of course I got my heart broken. Of course I was pissed about it…. I was so disappointed, because I never wanted my career to be a tabloid story.”

Over the past several weeks, in promoting her new music, Gomez has touched on Bieber in numerous interviews.

She lamented the way websites only focused on her Bieber answers in a previous Q&A. But she also teased that she might one day get back together with him

And why not? The stars are not on bad terms.

“At this point, there is no anger. There’s closure in a very good, healthy way. We’ve seen each other. I’m always encouraging and I am proud of his journey.

“I think people are making it out to be something that is more tragic than it really was. We grew up together. We both made mistakes. That’s it.”

That probably isn’t it.

But as long as Selena is happy at the moment, we are happy for her.

Michelle Obama Smashes Champagne Bottle Like a Boss

If at first you don"t succeed… and then at second you don"t succeed… firm up your muscles, turn your face deadly serious… and smash the HECK out of that champagne bottle dammit!

That"s what Michelle Obama does here at least.

The First Lady christened a new Navy submarine Saturday at a shipyard in Connecticut, serving as the ship’s sponsor and breaking a bottle of champagne against its side, as called for by tradition.

But, despite arms that are the envy of every woman on the planet, Obama could not properly break the bottle her first two times swinging it against the submarine.

She broke it to bits the third time, however, mugging hilariously for the camera upon doing so.

Seriously, you HAVE to see Michelle"s expression once that glass shatters. This is a woman never to be messed with.

Amy Schumer: Accused of Body-Shaming Khloe Kardashian!

Whether she’s awarding herself “best body” or dancing with Jennifer Lawrence at a Billy Joel concert, Amy Schumer usually can do no wrong.

Unfortunately, the 34-year-old comedy icon in the making may have stepped on some toes with her recent remarks about the ever-changing appearances of the girls in the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Amy hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, and she took on the Kard clan in her opening monologue.

“We have to be a role model for these little girls, because who do they have?” Amy said. “All they have, literally, is the Kardashians. And — she doesn’t have a Malala poster in her room, trust me. Is that a great message for little girls?

A whole family of women who take the faces they were born with as, like, a light suggestion? No! And, like, we used to have Khloe. Like, Khloe was ours, right? But then Khloe, she like, lost half her body weight. She just, she lost it — she lost a Kendall, who weighs nothing. I want good role models.

Some folks on the Internet seem to believe that Amy overstepped her bounds with her comments about Khloe’s fluctuating weight.

Given Schumer’s long-standing commitment to sending a body-positive message to women and young girls, we highly doubt she intended any offense.

Plus, if anyone has left themselves open for commentary on their appearances, it’s the Kardashian gals, who have never been shy about their shared fondness for plastic surgery, fad diets and foolish fitness trends like waist training

At the end of the day, Amy is a comedian, the bit was funny, and she deserves credit for sparking Monday morning conversations about the 90-minute dinosaur known as SNL.

Heck, Miley Cyrus hosted last week, and Amy is the one who got people talking. Impressive!

Walter Palmer: Cecil the Lion"s Killer Will NOT Face Criminal Charges!

Over the summer, the Internet flipped out over what appeared to be the unlawful killing of the beloved beast known as Cecil the Lion.

Cecil was a major attraction at Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, and had long been part of an Oxford conservation study.

In June, he was lured out of the sanctuary, shot with a bow and arrow and tracked form more than 40 hours before eventually being shot, skinned and decapitated.

When park officials found his body, they noted that his tracking collar had been removed, thus indicating that whoever killed him was well aware that this was no ordinary lion.

In July, a Minnesota dentist named Walter Palmer admitted to killing Cecil and incurred the wrath of animal lovers the world over.

Palmer was forced into hiding and temporarily closed his dental practice. There was a time when it looked as though he might be extradited and wind up serving jail time in Zimbabwe.

To the shock of millions, however, it now seems that Palmer will not face any sort of criminal charges as a result of killing Cecil.

TMZ is reporting that Palmer has been cleared of any wrongdoing by Zimbabwe’s environmental minister.

An investigation revealed that Palmer had filed the proper papers and had “legal authority to conduct the hunt.”

A happy day for Palmer and his family, no doubt, but a sad one for those who hold Cecil’s memory close to their hearts.
