Dascha Polanco: Orange Is the New Black Star Accused of Assaulting Teen

On Orange is the New Black, Dascha Polanco plays pregnant Litchfield inmate Dayanara Diaz.

So perhaps it’s fitting that in real life, Polanco has problems with young people that could land her behind bars.

According to Page Six, Polanco was arrested in July for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old New Yorker named Michelle Cardona.

The tabloid recently obtained court papers showing that Cardona claims the attack happened inside Polanco’s home:

“Ms. Cardona observed the defendant strike Ms. Cardona about the face and head with a closed fist at least three times, pull Ms. Cardona’s hair, and strike Ms. Cardona’s arms with the defendant’s hands and nails,” the documents state.

Polanco appeared in court on Thrusday (which happened to also be her birthday) for a hearing related to the charges. Her trial is set to begin next month.

Polanco’s lawyers issued a statement claiming that Cardona is simply trying to extort money from their client:

“It’s a setup to try to get money and it was tape-recorded,” says attorney Gerald Lefcourt. “This young woman was trying to extort her to drop the case. We’re confident the charges will be dismissed.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the actress’ first controversy this year.

Back in February, Polanco was criticized by animal rights groups after she allegedly dropped her adult cats at a pet shelter so that she could replace them with kittens.

Sounds like all that time spent with fake convicts is starting to have an effect on Dascha! 

Harry Styles Actually Gets Tattoo on Television

This is why we"re really gonna miss One Direction.

The very handsome British boy band is still planning to take a hiatus in 2016 (and, so it seems, also in 2017), but at least the group is still on a publicity tour for its latest album.

And that tour took them to The Late Late Show with James Cordon on Thursday night, where Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne took on the host in a game of Tattoo Roulette.

Just how does one play Tattoo Roulette? It"s simple:

Contestants pick a box – and the unlucky individual to select the box with the word "tattoo" written on the lid has to ACTUALLY GET A TATTOO.

The One Direction members agreed to have the words "Late Late" tattooed on a part of their body if they lost, while Corden said he would go with "1D" if he chose the wrong box.

For real. There were actual stakes at play here, people!

“I’m regretting you thought of this game," said Horan at one point because he’s the sole One Direction singer without a tattoo. "I don"t like this."

In the end, Horan was saved from his worst nightmare after Styles, a man with many tattoos, selected the tattoo-themed box. 

And then he really did go ahead and get a tattoo on television.

Emma Stone: Attempting to Steal Ryan Gosling From Eva Mendes?!

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling have worked together on multiple films, and the actors have gushed about their fondness or each other in multiple interviews.

Unfortunately, it seems the Emma and Ryan may have different ideas about the nature of their off-camera relationship.

As you may have heard Stone broke up with Andrew Garfield in April after several years of dating.

Shortly thereafter, we began to hear rumors that Gosling was cheating on Eva Mendes with Stone, but nothing ever came of the affair allegations.

Now, the folks over at Celeb Dirty Laundry are reporting that Gosling and Mendes briefly broke up as a result of his romancing the Stone, and Emma did everything in her power to ensure that the couple stayed separated.

Despite Stone’s best efforts, the website reports that “unnamed insiders reported that Ryan and Eva decided to give things one more try and want to give Esmeralda a baby brother or sister.”

Further complicating matters is the fact that Garfield is reportedly trying his best to win Stone back, but she only has eyes for Gosling.

Sound like quite the Hollywood love quadrilateral. It seems fitting that the film that Gosling and Stone recently completed filming is entitled La La Land. 

Apollo Nida: BUSTED Cheating on Phaedra Parks Before Prison; Will She Finally Divorce Him?

Back in September of 2014 Apollo Nida turned himself in to authorities to begin serving an eight-year prison sentence on bank fraud on identity theft charges. 

Rather than spending his final months as a free man bonding with his children and attempting to reconnect with his wife, Phaedra Parks, Nida ditched his family for an epic pre-prison bender.

And now it seems that the sordid details of his wild final weeks on the outside are being revealed for the first time in a tell-all memoir penned by a former stripper named Cashaun Sidney.

In the book – titled Sordid Panties: Celebrities, Thots, Money & Scandal – Sidney details a booze and drug-fueled weekend that she spent with Nida while Parks seemse

“Inside the house I started rolling the blunt of pot and just kept my mouth shut as I looked around the woman’s house in awe,” she writes. “I couldn’t believe in were in Phaedra’s house.”

“Apollo poured shots of tequila for us and we proceeded to the of the house where we sat by the pool and smoked the pot.”

Despite writing as though she’s providing court testimony, Sidney spins a bizarre tale that includes Apollo taking her friend into his baby’s room so that they could both “take a shower.”

“Were they both in the baby’s room taking a shower?” she asks. “I don’t know.”

We’re guessing they didn’t go into the room to get clean, if ya know what we mean.

Despite she was estranged from her husband long before he began his prison sentence, Parks has not filed for divorce from Nida. 

Perhaps Sidney’s account of Apollo’s misbehavior will give Phaedra the nudge she needs to finally file the papers.
