Kanye West: Needs Spiritual & Mental Counseling, Says Former Co-Writer

Citizens the world over have thought Kanye West was a little off his rocker from time to time (okay, most of the time), what with his constant egotistical claims that he’s the biggest rock star on the planet and his downright insane Twitter rants.

But a former friend and colleague is now suggesting that Kanye’s issue could be more than just extreme arrogance.

Kanye West and Rhymefest split

Rhymefest, who has co-written many songs with Kanye including “Jesus Walks” and “New Slaves,” recently tweeted to fans that he believes his fellow rapper needs help in the form of spiritual and mental counseling.

Rhymefest quit working with Kanye about a month ago – an odd time to leave given that the rapper just debuted his new album, “The Life of Pablo,” last Thursday.

Previously, fans assumed Kanye’s bizarre behavior was due to one of two possibilities: A) he’s a jackass or B) he’s grandstanding for publicity.

But when a close colleague goes public and says there may be a deeper problem, well, that’s not something we can ignore.

We most certainly do not have a team of psychiatrists here at THG, but the likelihood of a personality disorder does not seem so far-fetched.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is recognized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and lists the following symptoms:

  • Having an exaggerated sense of self-importance

  • Expecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it

  • Exaggerating your achievements and talents

  • Being preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate

  • Believing that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special people

  • Requiring constant admiration

  • Having a sense of entitlement

  • Expecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectations

  • Taking advantage of others to get what you want

  • Having an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others

  • Being envious of others and believing others envy you

  • Behaving in an arrogant or haughty manner

Again, we are in NO position to provide an actual diagnosis, but the points above appear to describe Kanye’s public persona to a T.

We’ve all had experience with narcissists in our life, but Kanye’s behavior – from publicly trashing other artists and ex-girlfriends to pumping up his ego with outrageous claims of genius – seems beyond normal standards.

Earlier today, Kanye took to Twitter to announce he was $ 53 million in debt and asked for a $ 1 billion loan from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to support “the greatest artist of all time.”

Kylie Jenner Debuts New PINK Hair, With Tyga on Valentine"s Day!

It’s Valentine’s Day, and love is in the air – and in the hair – for Kylie Jenner.

The young reality TV star showed off new pastel pink locks on Instagram in celebration of the love-themed holiday.

It’s unclear if she was wearing a wig or if she had dyed her natural hair, but she had posted photos of herself to Snapchat with dark hair just yesterday.

As we are all aware, Valentine’s Day is traditionally spent with a romantic partner, and Kylie spent time with on-again, off-again bae Tyga this year, as evidenced by this photo she shared on Snapchat:

The lip kit creator also snapped a pic of roses and balloons, assumed to be gifted to her by Tyga.

Many fans have recently thought Kylie might be calling it quits with the rapper, who has been plagued with cheating rumors for months now.

But sources claim the two became closer after news broke of her nemesis and Tyga’s ex-fiance Blac Chyna dating Kylie’s brother Rob Kardashian.

“Kylie really feels like if she were to leave Tyga now while all of this is going on, then her enemy wins the fight,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online.

Other reports claim Kylie stays with Tyga because the two have mind-blowing sex. Which may be more than we wanted to know.

Whatever the case, they are together for V-Day. But tomorrow’s another day.

Kanye West: $53 Million in Debt, Asks Mark Zuckerberg to Invest in Him!

We had reached a point where we thought there was nothing Kanye West could say that would shock us anymore.

We were wrong.

Of all the things that have come out of his fingers (because he tweets, you know), we never expected this:

Kanye tweet - debt

Wait. What?

Is this a joke? Kanye doesn’t typically act the comedian, and the tweet didn’t have much of a humorous ring to it.

However, he posted it just prior to his appearance last night on Saturday Night Live, so maybe he was attempting to be funny? If so, he really isn’t good at it.

Just before posting the confounding message, Kanye tweeted:

Kanye dance tweet

Also a departure from Kanye’s typical ego-driven tweets, which normally contain self-aggrandizing language about his genius or brutal takedowns of critics.

Then, as we’re scratching our heads trying to make sense of it all, Kanye issues a plea to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg:

Kanye Zuckerberg tweet

Kanye greatest artist tweet

Okay, well that last one sounds like Kanye at least.

Still, it’s hard to believe this man is broke. Kanye’s a successful musician and charges ridiculous prices for items in his Yeezy clothing line, plus he’s married to Kim Kardashian, whose estimated net worth is $ 85 million.

The rapper certainly has a reputation for living large, and we’re sure his grand spectacle of a fashion show last Thursday cost a pretty penny – word has it he hired 1,200 extras to appear in the event, not including the models.

Could this be part of the reason he and Kim have been fighting of late? We can’t imagine the image-conscious reality star is pleased with her husband divulging information about their finances like that.

The obvious joke would be to quote a line from Kanye’s most famous song, “Gold Digger,” but we’ll resist.

Kanye’s made us hate him on numerous occasions, but we do hope he figures out this mess – or his tweet was in jest.

What do you say, Zuckerberg?
