Kesha Takes Back Her Life, Gives World Two Middle Fingers

Hers has been a very public, very difficult battle.

Kesha sent a message to both supporters and haters this weekend on her Instagram account, sharing a silhouette of herself sticking two middle fingers in the air.

“I have been battling depression and an eating disorder for a while now. my career is in a strange place and it feels like I’m fighting an uphill fight some days,” she wrote.

“But I have decided to take my life back. my freedom. my happiness. my voice. my worth.”

“I will not just fucking be quiet and hide. today I will say fuck it and live.

“So FUUUUUUUUCK it. today I’m making that choice. AND IM HAPPY AS A DAMN CLAM. and also a big ol fuck u if u wanna hate on my body. just remember that makes u look like a dickhead.”

The singer has taken a much-needed holiday since being embroiled in a legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke, whom she’s accused of drugging and sexually assaulting her in the past.

Back in April, a judge rejected Kesha’s emergency request to be released from her recording contract with Sony.

In a nutshell, this means that the singer is not allowed to make any music outside the record label.

After the decision, the judge issued the following statement:

“Although [Luke’s] alleged actions were directed to Kesha, who is female, [her claims] do no allege that [Luke] harbored animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha.”

In another recent Instagram, Kesha thanked a sea creature for helping her move past the ordeal.

“when a whale shark decides to be ur best friend and reconnect you to your true self and nature and spirituality and magic and beauty and love and gratitude…..I LOVE THIS WHALE SHARK. I CANT EVEN.”

You do do, Kesh.

Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: Wives in Crisis

The relationship between two of Kody’s spouses and one of the show’s most dysfunctional dynamics was featured on Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 2.

Oh yes, Meri and Janelle Brown headed to “couples” therapy …

Yes, Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 2 saw Kody Brown’s first and second wives attend counseling to work on things with one another.

If you watch Sister Wives online, you know these two have a history.

According to Janelle Brown, drama between herself and Meri began when she joined the family three years after Meri and Kody were married.

Janelle chalked it up to the duo’s extremely different personalities.

That, or MULTIPLE WOMEN MARRYING THE SAME DUDE.

“The time has now arrived that Meri and I have our appointment [with Nancy]. I have some butterflies in my stomach for sure,” Janelle said.

Kody Brown states that he hopes his wives can come to an understanding but fears “these two mommies may never have it worked out.”

His third and fourth wives, Christine and Robyn, also say that they’re excited for the two to seek counseling, as “the less tension the better.”

In the therapist’s office, Kody’s wives reverse roles as a way to break the ice, and it turns into a very interesting exercise for both women.

“It’s very painful to watch people imitate you and then to watch their reactions to your imitation of them,” Janelle says after playing Meri.

During therapy, the two learn that Janelle doesn’t like how direct Meri is, while Meri finds it frustrating that Janelle can’t process feelings.

Their counselor advises them to embrace each other’s differences, leaving them feeling as though they accomplished “a lot” in therapy.

“I feel like we made good progress and understanding how we’re different,” Janelle says. “Hopefully we can [use] what we learned.”

“It should be interesting. I hope it works out.”

You"ve Never Seen a Baseball Fight Like THIS Before

So… you think baseball is a boring, non-contact sport, do you?

Okay, granted: you"re typically right in this assessment.

But give Rougned Odor and Jose Bautista a chance to change your mind.

On Sunday afternoon Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, Rangers pitcher Matt Bush hit the Blue Jays slugger with a pitch.

So Bautista took first base.

Later that inning, he went in to break up a double play, sliding late and extremely hard into Odor just as the second baseman gathered the relay throw for a double play.

Odom bounced right up and went after Bautista, which is not an altogether unusual sight.

Major League Baseball recently instituted rules against sliding in such a violent manner and players have certainly brawled in the past as a result of this sort of maneuver.

But never like this before.

Because Odor went ahead and punched Bautista right smack dab in the face. And we mean it: The guy really landed his haymaker.

Bautista, who stumbled back but somehow remained upright, admitted after the game that he was trying to send a message with his slide.

“I had a hard slide at second base. I could have injured [Odor, but] I chose not to,” he told reporters. “I tried to send a message that I didn’t appreciate getting hit.”

Benches emptied both during this crazy altercation again later in the contest when Texas first baseman Prince Fielder was hit by a pitch from Jesse Chavez.

Odor and Bautista were both ejected, along with numerous other plays and coaches.

Expect plenty of suspensions to follow as well.

Oh, and the Rangers went on to win the game 7-6. But who cares about that?!?

“It was ugly and unfortunate,” Blue Jays manager Gibbons said. “To me, it was gutless."

Caitlyn Jenner Wins GLAAD Media Award: Watch Her Speech!

Caitlyn Jenner earned another distinction and have another inspiring speech on Saturday.

Both of these were far less controversial than Jenner"s ESPY Awards honor last July.

A little over a year since her groundbreaking interview with Diane Sawyer – in which Jenner admitted she is now living life as a woman – this conversation won Outstanding TV Journalism – Newsmagazine at the GLAAD Media Awards.

And Jenner was hand to accept the honor.

“First of all, I had been trashed in the tabloids for years," she said in her speech.

"I had paparazzi following me everywhere I went. The life was really horrible. When I decided after many conversations with my family, with God, about what I should do with my life, I called up my good buddy Alan Nierob, who [was] my PR guy many years ago.

"And I had told him my story 25, 30 years earlier.

"And he never said a word to anybody. He’s a good, trustworthy person. And I said, ‘How can we do this that we can elevate not just me, but this community?""

The former Gold Medalist and current advocate for LGBT rights went on to explain how the interview with Sawyer came together, along with what it meant for various people around the globe.

She also focused on the impact it had on her children.

"My biggest concern was my kids," she said, explaining:

"Especially my last two, little Kendall and Kylie, who were 17 and 18 at the time. And I remember sitting there on the couch. I had Kylie on [my right side], Kendall on [my left side], and the show was getting ready to go.

"Within minutes after the show started, social media started to go crazy, okay? Celebrities – I think it was Lady Gaga was the first one, within 15 minutes of the show – with these positive comments. And the list went on and on and on.

"And, of course, I do live in the most social media family in the world by far. And I’ve got Kourtney, Kimberly, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie, everybody is there on the couch, with a reach of about 250 million people.

"And they all have their little phones going. ‘Oh, my God, look at this comment, look at this comment.’ The show was done in such a compassionate way."

Caitlyn concluded as follows:

And it just really started it off. And I’m so indebted to Diane, to ABC, to Mark. To everybody involved with it.

Because, boy, it has been quite a ride for the last year. And there is nothing better in life, than living your life authentically. Thank you.
