Little Girl Tries to Scam Mother Into Revealing Surprise Gift

Kids.

They’re the best, aren’t they?

Except for when they’re vomiting all over themselves in the backseat of your car, perhaps.

But Imgur user FunkyFunkyJones is here to remind us why kids can be so gosh darn adorable.

In the above example, FunkyFunkyJones gives us a look at how the daughter of his friend attempted to get to the bottom of a surprise present by impersonating her father via handwritten note.

How did the young girl’s mom know that it was her daughter, and not her husband, who wrote her the letter?

The opening of “Dear Wife” was a pretty clear giveaway.

The rest of the hilarious note reads as follows:

Dear Wife what Did you get Lily for a suprise again. I forgot. Love: Don.

Lily was apparently hoping that her mom would respond (via her own note? Just left out on the open?) with the answer of what surprise Lily was about to receive.

“Seems legit,” FunkyFunkyJones wrote of the picture.

We love it.

And we’ve gone ahead and added Lily’s precious note to the following examples of kids being too cute for words.

Tom Cruise: Abandoning Family to Become International Scientology Ambassador?

Yesterday, we reported on accusations about Tom Cruise’s bizarre justifications abandoning his daughter Suri.

Sources close to the actor have claimed that he hasn’t seen Suri in nearly three years and made no effort to contact the girl on her tenth birthday last month.

The alleged reason for Cruise completely cutting ties with his daughter and her mother, Katie Holmes, is unlikely to surprise those who are familiar with the details of the actor’s personal life.

Insiders claim that shortly after his divorce from Holmes, both she and Suri were branded as “Suppressive Persons” and “Potential Trouble Sources” by David Miscavige or some other high-ranking member of the Church of Scientology, and Cruise was encouraged to cut ties.

“Once you reach the mind-set where Tom is at, he doesn’t need much convincing. They believe the church is ultimately right, and abide by its demands,” says lapsed Scientologist and former friend of Cruise’s Gary Morehead.

“Miscavige would have hammered home to Tom that Suri has been infiltrated by a bad thetan,” he adds.

In this case, a thetan is a wayward soul that inhabits a human body and influences that person’s actions.

Several sources have claimed that Cruise wants to “cure” his daughter by enrolling her in a school for Scientologist children, but not surprisingly, Holmes is having none of that idea.

With that option cut off to him, it seems that Cruise may have decided to further cut ties with his family by basically living as a nomadic international ambassador for the the faith that’s played such an important role in his life.

According to TMZ Cruise has sold the mansion he once shared with Holmes for $ 40 million, and he seems to have no plans to buy a new home.

The site was unable to confirm that Cruise will be spending more time working with Miscavige and other CoS leaders, but all signs seem to point in that direction.

Cruise has been working less and less in Hollywood, and he already spends much of his time at Scientologist centers around the world.

He’s the been the public face of the controversial religion for decades now, and Church leaders are likely thrilled by the possibility of the once-beloved actor making a full-time commitment to their cause (if that turns out to be the case).

And at this point, he’s been absent from Suri’s life for so long that she likely won’t realize anything has changed.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani: Announcing Engagement on The Voice!

Is that so?

Last week, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani performed their new duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on The Voice, so it’s safe to assume that they’ll pull a Buddy The Elf and declare that they’re in love, they’re in love and they don’t care who knows it!

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, a few different tabloids allege that Shelton and Stefani will not only announce their engagement on an episode of The Voice, but they’ll also freely discuss marriage plans with the audience and viewers at home.

What started these rumors was a diamond eternity band on Stefani’s finger, one she’s worn since February, when some tabloids were certain Shelton had proposed.

No announcement was made, and it was assumed by more level-headed media outlets that the ring is one of Stefani’s personal items.

When Stefani wore the ring again at a Wang Tango concert this past weekend, the rumors started back up again.

“As far as the ring is concerned that was worn at Wango Tango, it is not an engagement ring from Blake but it is Gwen’s attempt at giving Blake the hint that he should ask soon because she is more than ready for it to happen,” a source told Hollywood Life.

“During Wango Tango she didn’t talk to anyone about actually being engaged because she is not yet, but she talked about how things were going great with Blake and how she was looking forward to the future.

“She knows they both have their albums and their tour to worry about, and he has to deal with a few more weeks of The Voice but if he is ready to pop the question she is ready to say yes!”

The Voice showrunner Mark Burnett has talked openly about Shelton and Stefani’s relationship.

“This is life, they happened to bump into each other, which is great,” Burnett said of his two friends.
